Regarding XI exam

Hi folks...
This is regarding my cretification exam on XI. i have got trained in my company. now i want to take the exam directly that is without training from SAP . but one of my collegue said that " in india i can not appear for the exam directly which possible only in europe and uae etc...
could please tell me is it true?

Hi priya,
there are 2 ways to attain a certificate in XI.
1. Your organiztion for which u work, will have to provide the necesasary documentation and you will be allowed to take up the certificate alone.
2. You attend a training course and then take up the XI certificate.
The 1st option can be exercised only if you have your organizations approval and the 2nd option is very costly as you will have to undergo a training session in XI to be able to take up the exam.

I would like to take the following exam but would like to know if this alone is sufficient to get my first Oracle certificate or do I need to take other exams to become eligible for Oracle Certification.

Doubt regarding SCJP exam scheduling

Hi,
I am from india and i recently purchased a scjp voucher. In the sun website its given to call to 91-0124-451-7160 to schedule the exam in india regardless of the prometric centre we will take our exam. So, for the purpose of scheduling the exam, i need to call this number given in the website or directly make a call to the prometric centre in which i will be taking the exam???

Two questions regarding Sun exams

what is the differences between these two exams?
*1 - Sun Certified Web Component Developer for the Java 2EE Platform*
*2 - Sun Certified Web Component Developer for J2EE 1.4*
as I see in my prometric history, I passed second exam but enrolled for first exam.
second question is:
in prometric website, it shows me that I enrolled for following:
Sun Certified Business Component Developer for the Java 2 Platform 1.3, Enterprise Edition
but not for :
Sun Certified Business Component Developer for the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5
why? do I have to pass the former in order to pass the SCBCD 5?

Oralce 11g OCP Upgrade Exam 1Z0-050

Hello,
I am 10g OCP, plan to upgrade OCP and take 1Z0-050 exam soon. Anyone here take the exam recently? Any lesson to learn? Also regarding this exam, i have few questions:
1) was 11gR2 covered? How much?
2) is there any good book or any website for preparation?
3) I am in DC area, anyone is interested to prepare together?

I understand changes on production exams cannot be developed so easy, but regarding to this new release it could be good to analyze if could be interesting update the exam.
"Interesting' or not, making topic changes to production exams is a huge amount of work... and not just for Oracle University. When topic changes are made, such as happened with the 1Z0-047 exam on September 15th or last year, it immediately obsoletes all of the test preparation material in existence for that exam, whether it be books, study guides, or practice exams. People making use of these legacy materials are likely to be caught off guard when taking the exam and they determine that they are not prepared for the newly-added topics. It just doesn't make sense unless the changes that were made are extremely significant. With a 'New Features' exam, it is difficult to imagine any new feature being added in a patch release that is so significant that it warrants such handling.
Any time a new release or patch comes out, OU does go through the exam to verify the existing questions still make sense. I don't know to what level they make changes at this point. However, I am fairly certain that if, for example, in version 12.1.0.1 there was a given restriction and in 12.1.0.2 that restriction was removed... any questions on the exam that referred to the changed restriction would either be removed or altered such that the correct answer was not version-dependent.

EncodeURL - uses semi-colon or question mark in path?

I am confused about the encodeURL method and how it formats urls when adding the session ID. It was my understanding that the sessionID is added as a path parameter, which means it becomes part of the query string following a "?" in the url, like so:
www.mydomain.com/servlet/CheckOut?jsessionid=567
However, the book I'm using (Java 2 Web Developer Certification Study Guide by Sybex), says that a semi-colon is used instead, like so:
www.mydomain.com/servlet/CheckOut;jsessionid=567
Which one is it? Or is this entirely server-dependent? Either way the next processing servlet needs to be able to access that ID using getPathInfo().

ECC 5.0 version phased out for certificaiton

Hi Gurus
I had applied for direct certification for SD module to SAP. Since i was eligible my profile got approved by SAP and hence i was eligible to give that certification exam for ECC 5.0. I completed all the formalities like sending the DD, Required consent letter, supporting letter from company etc etc.
As per the policy i am suppose to give the exam within the 4 months after they receive the documents,
i received their confirmation of "documents received" on 14th Aug 2009.
So that means i can give the exam till 14th Dec 2009
When i mailed them today for some info regarding the exam they suddenly said that ECC 5.0 has been phased out from 18th sept 2009 and hence I am not allowed to appear for exam. I was prepared and wanted to give exam on 16th Oct as per their schedule. But now i can't. I requested them to allow me for ECC 6.0 which they are denying.
I am wondering what kind of policy they have.They didn't even intimate me that it has been phased out.Haven't I mail them today i wouldn't have even known that it has been phased out and i cannot give the exam.
Is there anything else i can do. I want to give my certification exam. I am thoroughly prepared and have invested lot of time in my preparation.
Please suggest what can be done

I become Adobe Certified Expert (Flex 3 with AIR) as on 22nd Aug 09 but till the date (Now it is almost 3 days) I haven't received any email from ADOBE about my exam. On exam report my Candidate Id is showing as pending. I tried a lot to get in touch with Adobe and Pearson Prometric Center but whenever I click on contact link on ADOBE web site, it redirects me to Product Support Link.
Could anybody help me?

Yes it is true that ADOBE will mail certificate to my home but as per my conversation with Prometric Center Authority, I must receive confirmation email from ADOBE regarding the exam report and candidate id.
Now I am bit confused.

Recently i wrote 10g oracle oca administration-1 certification.
I have failed in that examination.
Now i want to write the exam again.
Is it possible to write exam again in this short span or is there any rules to take the exam after specified days if we fail in 1st attempt.

Hi,
It is not possible to get any model question papers for SAP certification exams. In the syllabus mentioned you will have () symbol on most of the topics concentrate on the topics with two or three() you will get more questions on those sections. Thats all we can do.
regarding the exam
You can go back to any question whether you have answered or not and change the answers anytime during the test.

I have query regarding CCDP exam, i have a valid CCNA and CCNP which i is expiring in march 2015, i want to give CCDP paper.As per cisco
CCDP Certification Prerequisites is
Cisco CCDA and CCNA Routing and Switching or
Any Cisco CCIE certification
and paper i have to passed are
CCDP Certification Required Exams
642-813 (SWITCH)
642-874 (ARCH)
642-902 (ROUTE)
in which i have passed two Switching and Routing in my CCNP exam so i have to give only ARCH exam for completing CCDP.
I have a question that it is compulsory to give DESIGN paper first for CCDA and then ARCH to complete CCDP or only the ARCH to complete CCDP.
And what is the cost of DESIGN and ARCH paper.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but here you go.
Based on your response here is the timeline
Took and passed CCNA R&S - 7/27/2006 and certification are good for 3 years, so expires 7/27/2009.
Took and passed CCNP composite 6/27/2009. 3 year clock is now ticking for this exam only. This re-certified your CCNA R&S which now expires 6/27/2012.
Took TSHOOT and passed 3/24/2012. 3 year clock is now ticking for this exam only. This re-certified your CCNA R&S and you have earned CCNP R&S and both certifications expire 3/24/2015.
Now let’s look at what you would like to accomplish now.
You want to get your CCDP certification which requires a valid CCNA R&S AND a valid CCDA to earn your CCDP and also pass the following exams.
642-902 ROUTE – NOTE! Last day to test for this exam is 1/29/2015 so this exam can no longer be taken, the new exam is 300-101 ROUTE.
642-813 SWITCH - NOTE! Last day to test for this exam is 1/29/2015 so this exam can no longer be taken, the new exam is 300-115 Switch.
642-874 ARCH
Now let’s see what valid exam you can apply to the CCDP requirements.
You have a valid CCNA R&S so you are good here.
You do not have a CCDA certification so you will need to take the 640-864 DESIGN exam.
You have taken the CCNP Route and Switch composite exam on 6/27/2009 and that exam is vailid for 3 years from the day you pass you would have had to have passed your CCDA and the 642-874 ARCH exam before 6/27/2012, and you did not do that so those exams cannot be used towards your CCDP.
So based on all this, to earn your CCDP you will need to take the following exams.
640-864 DESIGN for the CCDA requirement
300-115 SWITCH
300-101 ROUTE
642-874 ARCH
This will earn you the CCDP. Now remember as soon as you take one of the exams, SWITCH, ROUTE or ARCH, you will have to complete the others within three years of passing the first one.
