Regd certification. which one to go for ? :-(

hello everyone,
i really confused with the certification courses. which one should i opt for. teched is on oct 5-7 in bangalore. i have four options here ->
1.EP (totally new for me)
2.XI (totally new for me)
3.WAS (totally new for me)
4.ABAP (have worked for a month)
i just have one month time to prepare for any one of those certifications. can anyone suggest me which one should i opt for, or should i wait for some more time & then attend a cetification test. ??? please respond asap taking in consideration about the technology & the 1 month time
-rajesh

Hi Rajesh,
As you have said, you have only one month experience in ABAP. But, if you have atleast 1 year experience in JAVA or J2EE applications then i would suggest to you to go for WAS certification. Course name is
"Development Consultant SAP NetWeaver´04 - Web Application Development Focus JAVA "
You can clear this certification, if you will take training for the same in banglore.

Bhavik

Why do you need a expensive MacBook Pro?
Your attending high school and unless everyone else is rich also your likely going to be a target by the more poorer students for theft or damage to the machine.
You could keep it home, but if you need it for class then your exposed again.
Also at that age your not very careful yet, a MacBook Pro is a expensive and easily damaged machine.
Unless your made of money and so are others at your school, I would recommned a low profile, just does the job cheap Windows PC.
If it dies, gets lost, stolen or damaged because of your inexperince handling senstivie electronics then it's no big deal.
You can buy a Mac later on when your sure you have a need for it, currently there isn't much advantage of owning a Mac compared to a PC, they do just about the same things now, one just looks prettier than the other.
Since 95% of the world uses Windows PC's your going to have to install Windows on the Mac in order to keep your skills up there or be unemployed, so it's a extra headache and expense.
    good luck

Like I said before ask facebook or look at their support site to see if that is even a feature.

You have a 13" Early or Mid 2009 MacBook. Either one can run OS X Mavericks with enough RAM, 2 GB minimum. But first you will need to update to OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 so that you have the Mac App Store installed on your MacBook
    Buy this from apple;
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    Then download and update with this update combo;
OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 v1.1 update combo
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
After this you will have the Mac App Store on your MacBook and you should be able to download and install OS X Mavericks for free!
    Your MacBook must meet these minimum tech specs to run Mavericks;

I will use Barclays Card for 18 month free interest.
I wil ask Apple clerk to avoid LG monitor.
I will buy those in Apple store.
    Which one will you recommend?

Tha's something you need to decide for yourself.
Do you think you need 16GB of memory or 8 will be enough?
Do you need to carry your macbook around with you more often? if so just get the 13" it's easier to carry.
Or maybe you enjoy watching media on a bigger screen?
As for word processing it shouldn't be a problem on both notebooks.
Also can you afford buying the 15"?
And what about the hard drive capacity?
So my advice is to consider these aspects, make a list of pros and cons and see what you come up with

IOS4.1,4.33,5.01,5.1,which one is better for 3GS?

The 4.1 version for 3 gs is the best one .
as far  as 5.1 its considerably slows the 3gs and 4.3.3 has known issues like  wifi signal dropping and battery drain. so you must stay on  ios 4.1 for your 3gs.

  • XI certification - which one?

    Hi,
We are an ISV in the area of Trim Optinization (used in the SAP Mill Products scenarios), a SAP partner, and have a product which is already certified on .Net Connector, but not as PBNW. We now want to go for PBNW certification, but are unsure which option to choose.
We don't have any java prgramming experience in our company, and we want to produce a meaningfull integration which we can resell. We were looking at the NW-XI option (3), but having read up on this, I am not sure that this is appropriate, as we are not really writing a new "technical adaptor". We could integrate our application via XML, but this looks more like the NW-XI-CNT (option 2). The problem with option 2 is that it appears that you must also have the EP-BP, which means having java experience. Also, we can't see much value in writing "iViews" for our product, as it has a complex GUI which probably could not be represented in such views.
For clarity, our application normally runs on it's own server, and is integrated to SAP APO via standard BAPI calls. The trim planner may also carry out detailed block planning in APO PPDS before and after Trim Planning.
We also have other questions: -
    1. How can we get a SAP landscape with the appropriate SCM + R/3 + DIMP installed to develop and test the integration, and is it included in the price of certification?
    2. What training courses will we need to?
    3. What is the overall cost, including certification, landscape, training etc.
We previously certified or product, X-Trim/APS with Christoph Claus at the ICC in Walldorf - maybe Christoph can help us with these decisions (I see that he answers a lot of postings in this forum : -)
    Kind Regards,
    Chris Brookes.

    Hi Chris,
You can read my Blog for more information about SAP XI adapter creation:
    /people/john.ta2/blog/2006/12/20/to-create-or-not-to-create-an-sap-xi-adapter
But I agree that option 2 is most likely what you are looking for.  PBNW requires that more than one SAP NetWeaver technology is used.  It would be simple to just use SAP Enterprise Portal to display some e.g. information, status change, list current information related to a user, etc.  Very little Java programming (to none) is required for creating your iView.  Look at this Blog for example:
Application Integrator to integrate URL iViews - /people/markus.pfeffer/blog/2005/12/14/integrating-your-web-front-ends-into-the-sap-enterprise-portal-using-the-application-integrator
Also, try to encourage some of your team members to learn Java since it will add to their technical skill sets and can only make them shine!
    In regards to your questions:
    1. Please look at our Developer Package (DPA) for the pricing of our SAP hosted environment for your development:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn?rid=/webcontent/uuid/15330f73-0501-0010-d59e-8a32e220b2ed [original link is broken]
    2. There are training course for SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (XI) which you can prepare for or you can look at the online eLearning course on SDN's Exchange Infrastructure area.
    3. After deciding how many systems you need (depending on how you answer) to answer #1 and its price, factor the cost of training courses or eLearning (free), and adding the cost of the certification exam for option 2, you will have your answer.
    I hope this helps!

I will not qualify it as best. Best depends on your requirement. 2008 r2 is much cheaper than SS2012 and SS2014. First make sure what all features you need in your new environment. Please read below link for features supported by various editions of SQL
    server

If you think 2012/2014 fits in your requirement well then go ahead.

  • GPU Acceleration. Which one to choose for Premiere CC: CUDA or OpenCL?

If anyone has any experience regarding CUDA vs OpenCL acceleration in Premiere Pro CC, I would really appreciate your thoughts on this:
I have a Sager 8270 laptop with an nVidia GTX770M video card with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM that I need to exchange since the one I got is defective.  I can either exchange it for the same model, or an identically spected model with an AMD Radeon HD  8970M Graphics with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM.  Which one should I choose?  Is CUDA acceleration inherently better than OpenCL for Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop?  Is it the other way around, or are they about the same?
Do AMD cards that aren't on Adobe's officially supported list of cards work the same as unsupported nVidia cards?  Neither one of these two cards are on the list, but in CC, my GTX770M works fine without any hacks.
Any info on this is much appreciated, including links to other relevant articles/threads! (I found the 'OpenCL vs Cuda for CS6' thread but it didn't help)
    Thank you!
In case this helps, here are my laptop's specs:
    Intel Core i7 Haswell 2.7Mhz
    32GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
Windows 7 Home Edition (on Windows 8 now but will  go back to Windows 7)
    120GB SSD for OS

  • Updates Confusion: Which ones to select for HP Notebook-15-r249tu

I regularly update my system, Windows is not an issue, however HP updates seem to be a problem. For example when I tried to update the graphic driver from Intel, it shows that my system has a customized driver and should be updates from the manufacturer site only. I have tried to get updates using the HP support assistant, but every time it shows "no updates". I then tried the HP website to get updated and it shows a list of related updates, but the problem is they all have the same/similar file name and description. I don’t have a clue as to which ones to download.  SO my questions are: 1) IF the HP support assistant does not show any updates then is it right or should I try other source? 2) Are the updates on HP website just a list of all necessary drivers and software or are they updates to already installed drives/software’s? 3) How to know which to download from the list? Find the list here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-Notebook-PC-series/7486447/model/7748033

Depending on which wireless adapter is in your model, one of these should fix the problem.Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver -  sp68506.exe Qualcomm Atheros AR9000 Series Wireless LAN Drive - sp68427.exe If neither of those help and this is a result of converting the laptop to Windows 7 from Windows 8, then possibly the chipset drivers from THIS PAGE will be needed, also.

  • WRT110 vs. WRT54G2 - which one is right for me?

WRT110 is the speedbooster of the old WRT54GS, whereas WRT54G2 is the new WRT54G (no speedbooster). Our current home network exists just to enable all computers to have internet access, we do not do any file sharing between computers. Considering that, is there any reason to go with the speedbooster over the non-speedbooster version? Which one is more stable/reliable of the two (less dropped connections, random slowdowns, etc)?

    castor wrote:

Hey, thanks for the help but that is not our issue. We just don't share files from computer to computer, we just use the router to give all computers internet access.

  • Which one is better for uploading data LSMW or ECATT ?

I am going to implement my product in customer place.which tool I can use for uploading data.ECATT or LSMW whch one is better to upload master data and transaction data ,which one is user friendly?kindly guide me on this.

    Hello TJK,
LSMW and eCATT has different functionalitites and different advantages, but common thing is they are used for data upload.
eCATT is mainly used as a testing tool for follow-on transactions i.e. Purchase Requisition, Purchase order, Goods Receipt etc.
Where as LSMW is used for Master data (Materials, Customer, Vendor, BOM, Inforecord etc) and some of the transactions data (Purchase order, purchase requisition)
There are many standard objects are available in LSMW so most of the consultants use LSMW, but again depends on the requirement.
This will help to understand the basics of eCATT.

and here it is for LSMW

  • Which one is better for me  Mac Pro iMac?

Hi everyone I'm getting very extremely irrateted with my laptop vaio and desktop computer hp ... My problem is both of them always jams can't do my work loosing lots of lots of hours restarting, waiting etc... You got the picture...
This is what I do and my  needs: I have an online beads store (I'm not very big for now but working on it when my computer cooperate ;) ) so that means I take my own pictures so that means lots of pictures to edit, download etc... I keep in touch with my clients via social network... When my clients wants something I have to respond fast... When my clients wants the product now, they want it now... When it take me forever to download my product for sell well I loose clients and business ... I tried evrything with my computers getting 2 exterior stockage so that I don't overload my computers trying to keep the speed but it doesn't work... So that's why I'm thinking going with apple product because I heard and had lots of good reviews on their product... (I have iPhone and iPad and for real I can see the difference the ipad2 works better and faster then my laptop and desktop lol) I know it will be a big investment for me to buy iMac or Mac Pro ...
Like I said I need speed for downloading my photos, products online, editing thousands so pictures ... Please help me I'm not a nerdy in computers I'm the kind of women that drives the car not repaired it lol so I need a reliable product that won't crush and bug every time but will help me enjoy my work and not curse  :) evrytime I need the computer....
Tks you for your help and sorry for too much blabla

Rock and hard place - lets say there is a perfect storm - and you have been though too many OS "1.0" versions to know that new hardware + new OS and the "787Dreamliner" shake-down cruise.
A Mac Pro 2010 as a backup machine yes, backup machine, for $1800 that runs 10.6.8 and up, as I would never rely on or have just one computer for my business. And still get the next model when / if etc.
Even a new MacBook Pro Retina is quite a lot packed in - and portable - as a 2nd system.
Ideas for systems and performance upgrades:
    http://www.macperformanceguide.com
Mac Pro: 4x4TB storage, SSD system, 48GB RAM, 6-core 3.33GHz processor - even though "old" is still solid mature and "known entity." Cutting edge is not ideal for a professional business. And custom 12-core 3.33GHz if money is not a burden.
iMac lets you outgrow but offers those Thunderbolt storage. But a Mac Pro can use large SAS storage arrays off ATTO PCIe controller. So it is only when sharing a TB box, which are still at this point more propritary and really if it doesn't support mini-SAS/SATA along with TB...

  • ActiveSync - Which one to opt for FlatFile or Database?

    Hi,
Please suggest which ActiveSync is better in terms of Performance, FlatFile or Database.
We need to use the better performing out of these two.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Jolly

    Other issues...
We use DBTables for the reasons suggested above. We use logic to limit the number of rows we read and we do write data back to the tables from within IM. These DB tables are used primarily to read data from source systems into IM and to map the data to existing accounts, or create new ones as necessary.
What we do... and I expect this is common... is we get a full extract from our source system, and we compare our current table to the data coming from the source system. Then we update any rows in our table where the data has changed, and update a timestamp. The active sync then reads any rows with a timestamp since the last Sync run.
So in a sense, we're doing the same processing that you would do with a text-based diff file.
The advantages of doing the DBTable method are that it behaves (mostly) like a real resource, so you can (1) do reconciles and (2) if you have any data corruption, you can reload the entire data source (by resetting the "last read" date in the resource config). We also update the rows -- we read the row, determine what account the row should be associated with, then write an account attribute out to the table so we don't have to correlate multiple times -- which as JerseyGuy notes can't be done with a text file.
Main disadvantage of the DBTable is that it won't detect deletes. We have a special value that we write to a row when it's deleted, and the Sync workflow detects that value and changes the operation when that value is encountered. But it won't natively detect the deletion.
