Regd Integration of Domino.doc and Portal !! Urgent !!

I Want to know whether we can integrate Oracle 9i AS Portal with Domino.doc (which is used for document management).
I dont know much about Domino.doc .
Can anyone guide me whether the integration is possible or not and if so which documents should i refer to do the integration. i searched for domino.doc in oracle sites but i didnt encounter any useful document regd this.

yes, for the integration of the user interface of any Lotus Notes/Domino application you have the following options:
1: Rendering on Domino
- URL iViews to Domino Web App
- leveraging Enterprise Portal eventing for communication between the Domino iViews and other portal iViews
- leveraging Enterprise Portal styles for consistent look and feel
2: Rendering on Enterprise Portal
- using XSLT and ?ReadViewEntries to render NotesViews (flat and categorized)
- using XSLT and ?ReadEntries to render Outlines for Navigation. Also the assignment of such an iView to a pages dynamic navigation is possible. Navigation events are communicated through portal eventing
- using SOAP or web agents and DXL to render documents
SAP Consulting has alredy implemented all those options mentioned in customer projects. Please get back to me if you need more information or samples.

1)Portal is an integrated component of 9iAS. You need to download all of 9iAS and select the minimal install option.
2)We haven't tested this configuration, but as long as you set up apache appropriately to use different ports than the existing software it should work.
3)Portal requires 8.1.6.2 Enterprise edition or 8.1.7 Standard edition. Personal Edition will not work.

Outlook express integration with R/3 and Portal

I have seen a new system setup where we can assign security group to a user in Outlook express and it will give some authorization in R/3 and Portal. I am first time seeing this concept .Can anybody pls explain me how to create the security group in outlook express and method of integrating it with both R/3 and Portal.

but its not the one I have been looking for ragarding the mentioned scenario.
!)A User will be present in both outlook express and SAP system ,when we add a security group (SG *) in outlook expressthe user will get authorization on Portal screen.
2) After assigning a role in R/3 ,we should add the security group to that use for some access permission.
Could u pls explain me how the concept could be and Integration method.

Integration problem: BW-BPS and portal reporting (ports)

Hi,
I have a question regarding to the integration of BW-BPS with the new portal. We have a BPS application with several planning interfaces (BSP) for the input of planning data. For reporting we are using the new portal functionality (BEx WAD templates). The BSP pages (ABAP) and the portal (JAVA) are working on different ports. We have integrated relative links into our BSP pages (/irj/servlet/prt/portal ) for the link between reporting and planning.
This was working fine until yesterday when we implemented the new support package 13 for BI. Before, it was possible to execute the portal reports with the BSP port. Now, this does not work anymore. --> Error the page cannot be displayed
The problem is that we are using a lot of these relative links within our BSP pages and they are all obsolete now.
We can not use absolute paths because we have a 3 stage architecture (with 3 different machines and 6 different ports).
Does anybody know how we could solve this problem on the server side (port mapping, etc.)?
Any help would be appreciated.

Integrating Web Dynpro and Portal

Hi people!
I'm starting the development of a simple web site in SAP Enterprise Portal. I created a simple web dynpro application to test the integration between web dynpro and SAP EP. I created a new folder and a new system in portal content. After I add a new page and a new iView (this iView open my webdynpro iview).
My Page open normally in SAP Portal Page Admin, now i would like to know how do for include the Portal Theme, Menu, Status Bar into to my page.
I investigated about wdPortalNavigation and wdPortalNavigationMode, but i don't understand very well how insert the Portal Navigation properties into my Page.
How do I insert this properties in my iView Code? or I should set this properties in Portal Admin?
Somebody have some e-books or tutorials to indicated?

For you Webdynpro pages to open with new THEME but not with default theme of portal you have to design new theme in portal and assign that theme to WebDynpro Components

I have seen a new system setup where we can assign security group to a user in Outlook express and it will give some authorization in R/3 and Portal. SiteMinder integration with the internal and external facing portals

Hi ,
We are in development phase for SiteMinder integration with the internal and external facing portals.The proposed dual authentication scheme which requires both SiteMinder for External facing portal (EFP) and LDAP for Internal portal .is it possible?
and is it possible to main to diff LDAP directories one is external users and one is for internal users.?
If you maintain 2 diff(external & internal) LDAP Directories in Siteminder Policy Server what about external users which are not exit in portal data source .
I appreciate if anyone can help me for my above query .

Hey Tag,
We do have a physical external Portal and a physical internal portal. The both the external and internal are connected to 2 LDAP directories.
For example the External Portal is connected to the Employee LDAP Direcotry and the Customer LDAP Directory. The Internal Portal is connected to the US Employee LDAP Direcotry and the EMEA LDAP Directory.
So each one of them is connected to 2 different LDAP Directories.
I believe that the Siteminder Policy is setup such that the Internal portal has a policy and the External portal has a seperate policy on the same Siteminder Server. Then each of the Policies is configured to connect to the approiate LDAP Directories.
You have to maintain the LDAP Directory information in both the portal and Siteminder Policy Server. It is required in the policy server so that it can authenticate the user and it is required in the Portal server so that it can authorize the user and display content based on thier assigned roles.

Purpose
The Quality Management (QM) component supports Sales and Distribution (SD) by processing quality inspections and creating quality certificates for deliveries. A quality inspection for a delivery allows you to check the quality of a material or product before it leaves the manufacturer's or vendor's premises.
The Quality Management (QM) component supports your sales and distribution activities:
·        With quality inspections for a delivery (based on sales organization, customer, and material)
·        With quality certificates for a delivery (with reference to sales organization, customer, and material)
·        By managing customer terms of delivery
Integration
If a delivery is created in SD for a product or material, the QM component automatically creates an inspection lot for the delivery items that must be inspected. A delivery item must be inspected if the corresponding control parameters are active in the SD and QM components. The delivery can be released for the goods issue posting, provided a usage decision to accept the goods is made for the inspection lot.
When the system creates quality certificates, it accesses the data in Sales and Distribution (for example, customer master and sales order), Quality Management (for example, inspection specification and inspection results), and Materials Management (for example, batch specification).
Features
·        The system creates an inspection lot when a delivery is created. The system supports quality inspections for inspection lots with the following origins:
¡        Delivery with reference to a sales order
¡        Delivery without reference to a sales order
¡        General delivery (without reference to a customer)
·        In the control data, you can specify that the inspection lot must be accepted as a prerequisite for the goods issue and you can also indicate whether the inspection should be carried out during the goods issue or by the ship-to party.

Schema referential Integrity and Portal

Please bear with me - I'm relatively new to Oracle and Portal. When using Portal forms to access schemas how does it handle referential integrity. Does portal handle this through the database object interface or is this done when building the schema and portal simply works with whatever schema attributes already exist? i.e. will it be perfectly comfortable with existing triggers and sequences and keys?
It doesn't look like it would be easy to use portal forms where there are sub-group tables e.g. different categories of people - sales, support, customers etc
Could anyone comment please?

We had some performance issues with the retrochange log enabled. We ended up making sure the retrochage log database was in its own disk (we had it in the same physical volume/volume group, etc, in AIX). Everything is working okay now.

Hi,
you need to setup a BOBJ server (eg. BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 or BO Edge 3.1) and then install the BusinessObjects integration Kit for SAP on the same machine your BOBJ server runs.
In order to build reports you can either use Crystal Reports (eg Install Crystal Report Designer 2008 V1 if you have an XI 3.1 server installed), WebIntelligence (Install the Business Objects XI 3.1 Client Tools in order to be able to build universes), BusinessObjects Voyager or XCelsius. Please note that you have to always install the BOBJ integration Kit for SAP (should be the same version as your server and client installation) on your clients AFTER you installed one or more of the above client tools.

and online fashion. There is no adapter for Domino as
I researched existing SAP offerings. Does anyone

According to Lotus Domino 6.5 docs, it is possible
to develop Web Service provider and consumer with
WebAgent and SOAPConnect Toolkit. These are relatively
new technology for Domino developers and seems to
be the only way for Domino-XI integration in terms
of SOAP protocol. Though I haven't yet tried.
Domino JDBC driver is type 2 and relies on DLL files
which are only available on Win32 platform. This makes
Domino JDBC a less desirable option in case that XI
servers are Unix boxes. Besides, Domino JDBC is not
100% JDBC compliant and also does not support all data
types native to Domino. This works but with lots of
limitation.
