Region Image Background

Hello,
Does anybody know how to set up a image background on a region.
I want to have different backgrounds for my two different regions.
Can someone help me.
I tried with the background style but it end up putting the background on the outer region (the main one) so I'm not sure how to do this.
Sorry to bother you if this is very easy to do, but right now I don't have an idea on how to do it.

Add to Region "Region Attributes" something like
style="background: url(#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#mypic.gif)"Replace #WORKSPACE_IMAGES#mypic.gif with url where is your image you like use as background

Are you trying to save a portion of an image with a transparent background? It may help to post a screenshot of the image that you're working with as well as your layers panel.
I've included a few tips below that may help you with your situation. If you need additional help, please feel free to post again
Deleting a background and saving an image with a transparent background
1. Here I am working with an image of a santa hat that I've cut out from a white background. I have two layers, the cut-out santa hat and the original file. I'm going to delete the background layer so that I have just one layer - the cut-out santa hat:
2. You'll see that a checkerboard pattern has appeared behind the santa hat. This means that the background is transparent.
3. You can then go to File > Save As... and select PNG, Photoshop PSD, or TIFF from the Format dropdown menu. These file formats will save the cut-out portion of your image on its own, while preserving the transparent background.

Space between DIV with image and DIV with image background

I have just about finalized the new design on my website. The only issue I am having now is on the gallery page. There is a thin space between a DIV with an image and DIV with an image background. I am using these DIV's to give the illusion of a blue border. If you look at any of the other main pages on the site the space is not there. Any ideas?

Setting image background transparent

I want to know how can I set the background of an existing images to transparent. I am a web desginer and currently i want's to change background color of one of my site http://twxdroid.com but here the problem arises that some of my used images background won't match up site background, so someone plz tell me how to change existing image background transparent. I heard about using magic wand selection tool or quick selection tool to make transparent but still can't figure out how to use them.

• if the Layer is a Background Layer change it to a regular one by double-clicking it
• make a Selection with whatever Selection Tool is appropriate
• if you selected the background use Select > Inverse to invert the Selection
• Layer > Layer Mask > From Transparency
• if further corrections are needed paint on the Layer Mask – black to hide, white to show the Layer’s content
• save the layered file as psd, psb or tif
• File > Save for Web … to save a copy a format that fits your needs (png-24 for example)

I have several layers for this image: Background, Moon, Tree, Grass and Clouds. When I try to use the Move tool to move the Moon, the tool jumps to the Tree layer. The same thing happens with the other layers as well (except the background layer). How

2. [ALT+Right mouse click] to select the wanted layer in the image window.

what I want to acheive is a HD motion graphic of text which will almost spin onto the screen letter my letter and then a become static word. Behind this I would like to place a moving image clip.
By 'basic cross image' what im looking to do is use a cruifix shape instead of a 't' on the text.

Image background changes colour when exported

Hi there,
I have placed a jpg image (also tried it as a bmp) onto my report... The section background is white... The image background is white.
When the report is run, everything appears fine... HOWEVER, when the report is exported to PDF, the image background is slightly tinted (ie RGB 255, 255, 255 to 251, 254, 253).
I've tried the Report Options / Retain original image colour depth and Export Registry Settings options listed in other posts but still get the same results.
Does anyone have any ideas so I can hopefully this customer off my back.

When you zoom in PDF file the color depth decreases. In report level make it in large size and try to export it.

CSS image background issues - please help!!!

I have a stubborn file that doesn't seem to want to display image backgrounds called out by CSS. In my DW file I can see the background images in Design View, but when I go to Live View or preview in a browser they're not showing. No broken link or unrecognized file type icons - just not there. It doesn't matter if I'm working on the file locally or on my test server; the result is the same.
Example 1:

I have successfully used both methods on other pages without problem, but for whatever reason can't get it to work today. I have a reset css file link to reset the browser defaults this time around and that's the only difference.

Did you save your images for the web in RGB mode? Most browsers don't support CMYK.
Is your code valid? Modern browsers are becoming less foregiving of code errors.

Change a divs image background

Is there any way to change a divs background image in edge animate? The background image is defined by an external css file but at a certain point on the timeline, I want to fade in the new background image. Any ideas?

Trying to match sidebar to image background

I am creating a professional portfolio. I've been working on this problem for days, and nothing I try seems to work. It's a little bit hard to explain so I am posting a screen shot to aid in this discussion.
How can I get the background of my image to match the sidebar of my illustrator file? Tried to select background then paint the same color. But colors do not match. Do I need to make a transparent background somehow?

Is your image background REALLY 50%K or is it a build of CMYK to try and look like 50%k?
If you hover over the background in Photoshop what does the Info panel read? Are there CMY values in the info panel? That's not a 50%K then.
If you want 50% K in Photoshop, you need to add 50% to the K channel in Photoshop and not simply paint on 50%k.

What kit do you have? And does the jewellery have to be photographed with the lens axess perpendicular to it? I'm guess that you have A4 or 10x8 standard bond paper for your printer? Did you use a tripod, and does it have an articulating arm? Do you have external flash, or at least a strobe with an articulated head that can swivel upwards? How about one of those curley eTTL extension leads? A sheet of glass?
Get back to me on that, and we'll take it from there, but shiney stuff is a PITA, and especially with such fine detail. This is one of those times when it might actually pay to use a coloured BG so you could make a decent Alpha channel mask. It is always nice to be able to make a cutout and use layer styles to add shaddow. It gives a cleaner more professional look.
I took this a lighting workshop a couple of years ago, to demonstrate that you could do it with nothing but a camera mounted flash and some Macgyver thinking.

If you go to this part of OTN you will find the official Oracle UTL_SMTP demo, which includes attachments:

Getting a background is slightly trickier. The UTL_SMTP package is for primarily sending text e-mails, whereas images require HTML e-mail. I suggest you look at the structure of a sample HTML e-mail and see if you can write the necessary HTML strings in the DATA parameter. Otherwise you'll need to investigate handcrafting a program based on the UTL_TCP package.

If this seems like a lot of trouble I agree and urge you not to bother. HTML e-mail is one of the curses of the modern age, not least because it is frequently used by purveyors of viruses. I have a filter on my Outlook client that strips out all the HTML in any e-mail I receive, which means I get lots of e-mails rendered unreadable by the inclusion of <HTML> tags. But who cares, they're mostly spam anyway. In fact, the use of HTML in an e-mail is almost always an indicator of the irrelevance of its content.

I too am confused as to why you've used getViewport().add instead of setViewportView(). with that i had no problems. try that. i'm not sure if it'll solve the problem though.

Virtual directory in region header background-image not working

I created a region with a region header that needs the background image to repeat vertical as well as horizontal, so the class was changed to include repeat instead of repeat-x.
So i replaced class t20RegionHeader with this:

<tt>center</tt> is not a valid value for <tt>vertical-align</tt>: should be <tt>middle</tt>.
Firebug reports "Failed to load the given URL" for <tt>/i/hdingBar-BG.gif</tt>. Does this image exist at that location? (Are you talking about apex.oracle.com or your local environment? If it's the latter, check that the <tt>hdingBar-BG.gif</tt> image file exists at the location specified by the virtual directory <tt>/i/</tt> and that the permissions are set to make it readable.)
