Hi Guys
I use the paypal here system via card-reader and 4s with ios 7.0.2.  I've been trying to process a customers payment since friday but i keep gettin error message saying "Region Mismatch.This merchant account is not valid in this region".
I have contacted PayPal who do not have a problem like this listed in their error database, they suggested checking the "locations" setting in privacy which I did - I have all green buttons there and little compass pointer at the side of the apps using location paypal has this little symbol against it, re-loading the App as it maybe a problem with ios7 (not surprising as it has already screwed up my on-line banking app causing me to have to re-register the whole service).  This I have done, I have switched off and re-started both the card reader and the phone.  All to no avail.
paypal have now escalated the problem to their technical people but was just wondering if anypne else has experienced a problem with location errors?
Thanks for any input, particularly from any Apple rep[resentatives who pehaps monitor this forum.  I do resent having to pay £25 for support.

Hi fromsouth, obviously I don't know who you are, you say you are just a user so I shall try not to become personally abusive as that serves no useful purpose and merely goes to alienate potentially helpful readers so perhaps I should re-word my statement on support.  I resent paying for support to the company which is directly responsible for the problem for which I am seeking support. On Googling, it is manifestly obvious that Apple has screwed many apps with the issue of ios7 - my fault for trusting Apple (which I have always previously done) and downloading the os before checking if it was any good or not.  At least with Windows 8 one has the option of reverting back to W7 - Apple have gone one better than Windows - not only have they produced an "update" in which I have frankly yet to find a benefit - but they have made it so that if you don't like it well screw you - you're stuck with it.  Whatever happened to customer service and satisfaction.  ****, not only did they fail to put in an easy method of deleting multiple email messages, they've even blocked the workaround that had been found in os6.
Contact the reader manufacturer?  - Why should I have to?  It worked fine before ios7 - now it doesn't!!  Try this scenario - I have a car which is working perfectly - I go to a garage to get fuel, the fuel contains contamination and my car won't start - is that the car manufacturers fault - of course not- it's the supplier of the fuel!   That should make it Apple's problem to solve but Apple are so arrogant that they just do whatever they like and everyone has to follow and spend fortunes re-writing their software to suit the whim of Apple's designers.
I've always defended Apple in the past during arguments contra Windows and Android but I'm afraid this is now beyond the pail - minor inconveniences one can accept and tolerate - but when something as fundamental as this which actually prevents me from conducting my business normally - I think you can understand my anger and frustration and believe me what is written here does not even scratch the surface.
Thank you for your suggestion on the Apple feedback site - I shall most certainly go there and give it a whirl

    Basically there is no validity for tax codes at the same time the tax codes should be there in a particular tax procedure and tax procedure should be assigned to country, hete you need to check whether the tax code(whatever you are using in MR8M) is there in particular country and tax procedure...
    Check the tax code in PO and MIGO and then MIRO.
    You can check the tax code in t.code"FTXP"

    Try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select South Africa.

    i got the same trouble, but in my case the problem is in my company we buy 4 licenses for adobe design std cs6 6.0 MLP Lincese IE, that its for 4, windows or mac, we only use mac, but i use just 2, when i try to put the serial in the number 3 mac, the program say the serial number is not valid, try again, what i can do?@

    Downloaded Photoshop Elements 11. Entered (double-checked and even re-entered to no avail) serial number and got this message. Did the "chat" with Adobe and they couldn't help, told me to call Adobe tech Monday.
    I DID buy the program from Costco and it's a "special edition" but don't know why that should matter. The serial number is in the same place as the programs you buy anywhere else. Maybe it's not matching on the Adobe site for some reason?  Any help much appreciated. 

    That seems to be a sensible possibility. It sure would be nice if it said that it can't be downloaded/must be installed from enclosed discs right  on the box/in the enclosed materials though.  I will call tomorrow and find out. 
    The whole ridiculously long story is that I bought it because it was a great deal, and followed all the directions to load it from the installation disc onto a computer, which worked fine.   However, I want it on my new Macbook Air, which has no disc drive, so again followed directions to the letter for transferring it from one computer to the other. Seemed to work fine until the very last seconds when it said it couldn't complete the transfer. (Repeated process, same result.)   Then I called the techs where I bought the Macbook Air and they said the easiest solution for me would be to just download from Adobe by entering the serial number because really that is what I paid for in buying the software and that serial number is all that's needed, not the actual discs.  So that's what I did, and ended up here.   
    Thank you so much for your thoughts on this, really appreciate it. I'll let you know what happens when I call Adobe tomorrow so you can know if you were right!

    Hi, I'm pulling my hair out here.
    I bought CS5.5 Student/Teacher edition and applied for my serial number from Adobe. After validation of my proof of education Adobe sent me a serial number. When I attempt to install I get the message "This serial number is not valid for this product" Anyone know why, I've looked under the installation help guidelines but to no avail. I'm using Mac.

    I just read this solution, tried it & now it's working...
    I think I found a fix...I went to Settings, iTunes & App Stores, then click on your Apple ID...view Apple ID...change country region to USA (even though it was already USA...just do it again...go through the steps making sure the United States store is selected...agree to the Terms of Service, THEN I think what the key is is to RE-auhorize your credit card...in my case all I had to do was enter the security code...and it worked...I am now able to download the YouTube app for example...couldn't do it before.

    I made some research online and asked a few of my friends with the same problem. All they did was sign out of iTunes from settings>iTunes & App Stores or from the App Store itself and signed back in. It worked for many of them but not with my iPhone 4s. It really does get on my nerves to always sign out and back in to the App Store as it sometimes works and allows me to update and download or most of the time it doesnt.
    When viewing my Apple ID account on my iPhone (after entering the password) it either views my account or says:
    "This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the U.S. iTunes Store. You will be switched to that Store. Try your purchase again."
    So I press on OK then either switches me to the App Store app of its choice, or says "Cannot connect to iTunes Store".
    I tried restoring iOS6 hoping it was a bad installation, but i still have the same problem.
    Can anyone help me please?

    Are you sure your AppleID is NOT tied to the US store? If you are trying to buy an app from the Swedish store you will be unable to do that. Some apps are only available on certain stores. That is why you get the "Cannot connect to the iTunes store" message when trying to buy that app. Your updates are being done from the US store ; thats why you can update sometimes and sometimes not.
    If you keep encountering problems contact iTunes support. They will help you sort it out.

    We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
    I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather .
