Region Name variable

Hello everybody!
Is there a way to access a Region name in Region Template ? I would like to change the Region Template with adding a link like at the header of template to simplify the in-page navigation....

Thank you. I've seen that variable and even tried it but the problem is this variabale #TITLE# presents not only Name of region but also the set of html tags. And in this case it's impossible to use it inside my own <a> tag in the template....
So would like to have one variable which presents ONLY the region name.

How to find the AK Region name from JSP

I have the requirement to hide some of the fields/regions in Oracle Sales Online.
To do that from AK Developer Region Name/Code and Region Item is required. How to find this Region Code.

When you are on the webpage, right click and select "VIEW SOURCE". When the notepad opens up, find the string "TOP REGION". This will give the top region for that page. Query for this page in the AK Developer resp with "Define Regions". Then click on "Region Items". This will give all the Attribute Names and Nested Regions within the TOP REGION. You just have to dig into each one of 'em to find the one you need.

but it should be displayed as 1,00,200.32

Hi deepika,
For your first question, I happened to have written similiar codes recently.
If you have the country code and region code, you can read the country name from table T005 and region name from T005s.
You can create a new routine for this and call it from Initialization.

How to get Current Page(region) Name/ID in OA 11i

We need to get the name or id of the current page, and based on the pagename, we retrieve configuration to launch specific web service.
pageContext.getPageLayoutBean().getPageFunctionName() is no sufficient. Since one page function sometimes contain multiple pages (eg, each individual page maps to one train node, all the train nods maps to one page function).
are there OA apis that I can use to get the Current Page name in controller?
I tried pageContext.getParameter("CurrrentPage") , it works great for iExpense application. However, in iRrecuiment, the parameter "CurrentPage" was not set at all.
Please advise.

First let me explain what I want to achieve:
I am writing one region (choice list displays the webservices based on the container region) along with the controller, and that region will be embed inside any OA application pages via OA personalization. On the runtime, I need to detect the current page (container region) name. Then, based on the configuration stored in my table, I need to query out the web services endpoint to call.
Now let me answer your question:
For example, OIEMAINPAGE.xml (OIEMainPageContainer) contains OIEReview, OIEDetail, OIEGeneral, etc, each inner region will be rendered as a page when you click the train node or link of other page. (from end user perspective)
If I call pageContext.getPageLayoutBean().getPageFunctionName() on those inner regions, it will return OIEMAINPAGE, so I can not figure out which region are rendered (displayed) on runtime. (My region are embed inside OIEMAINPAGE pagelayout region )
If I call pageContext.getParameter("CurrrentPage"), it will return (OIERview, OIEDetail etc), which are exactly what I want.
However, I have to make sure my code works for other OA application, and I already noticed that some application does not set parameter CurrentPage, instead they may set parameter Page. So, I want to know if there is API provided by OA or fnd team to return current container region (page), very similar to Form Block name.
In form, One Form function could have multiple Blocks, and they are not displayed at same time.

For that, I have created a "Hide Show Region on Title Click" Region Template
Create a new Region Template through Shared Components. This should be created "From Scratch" as there is only one setting in the template that requires any content. When that has been created, edit the template and copy the following into the "Template" setting:

Is there any way to hide region names?

I recently switched from garageband to Logic, and my only complaint is that there isn't a way to hide region names, which would give the same words-free editing experience as garageband. If anyone knows of a way to do it, please post, thanks!

I am displaying some graphics where the size of databases is displayed.
I have a shuttle list where the name of databases is changed dinamically, according to the value is selected in select list item.
I want to display the region name according to the database is selected, for example when the database "PROD" is selected (the first one in the shuttle list) its name must be displayed in the region name of the first graphic.
I would like to know if it can be done accomplished in APEX.
Any help or advice will be really appreciated.

But you know, this is a shuttle (array element) from where I want to display the title for the region.
For example when I want to display the graph for two databases, the Region Title displayed is 22:23 (Application ID is being displayed instead of the database name)

I am manipuling the ":" character to choice the element according to the first, second, etc.
Is there any way to accomplish this for the Region Title?

Table name variable failes in OLE DB connection

I'm getting odd behavior from an OLE DB Destination. I need to make the destination dynamic so I chose "Table name or view name variable" as the data access mode. When I put in what I know is a valid table name as the default value of the variable
and click view existing data, I get the following,
File not found (it's a DB2 db that calls tables files).
The curious thing is when I choose SQL command and put in a query using the EXACT same table and click view existing data, it works. What am I missing here?

I am unable to reproduce the error message, however, you can follow the steps below to create the variable properly:
Remove the existing related variable(s).
Add a new Package scope variable named PRMSDestinationTable, set its data type to String, its value to TableName (without database schema).
Press F4 to highlight the variable properties pane, set its EvaluateAsExpression property to True, and set its expression to @[User:: PRMSDestinationTable]. Evaluate the expression to make sure the result is correct.

Confused about a task sequence - multiple applications - base name variables

I am trying to get familiar in a new SCCM 2007 environment (badly documented I'm afraid). The TS used for computer deployment contains a long sequence of 'Install Software'-steps labled 'Install PACKAGES' (0 to 9). Within each of these the 'Install multiple
applications'-box is checked and a Base Name Variable has been given (PACKAGES0 -->9).
I have been reading about the mechanism behind defining variables in the CustomSettings.ini, but of all the CS.ini files I have found on the SCCM server I have not found traces of these variables.
I have found no collections with these variables.
So my question is: How to figure out what may be included in these ? What software is installed, if any?

When you deploy the task sequence to a computer, does it get any applications installed from these steps?
The variables can come from different sources, like:
1) Collections variables
2) Computer variables
3) Dynamically set variables, using either a custom script or MDT (CustomSettings.ini)
If the computers get any of the "unknown" packages installed, try looking in the smsts.log on the client.
This should also give you an indication, where the variables come from.
You can get all computer variables with this small PowerShell script - This can help you identify if the variables are set per computer:

Error while using the variable name "VARIABLE" in variable substitution

Hi Experts,
I am using variable substitution to have my output filename set as a payload field value. It is working fine when I am using the variable name as fname, subs etc but channel goes in error when I am using the variable name as "VARIABLE". This is probably a reserved word but i would like to know where i can find a detailed documentation on this. Say things to note / restrictions while using variable substitution.
This is the error in the channel:
Message processing failed. Passing file name variable to the save as dialog

Hi:
I have an event listener that checks if the user has selected the file/"save as" menu and brings up another dialog window asking for some additional information about the client and job. I would like to pass a variable from this custom dialog to the file name field in the standard Save As dialog.
Anybody have an idea how I can do this?
I am using inDesign3 on Windows XP. I am using VB for the scripting.

Hi: thanks for looking at it.
Actually, I am not calling the save as in my script, the user is clicking on Save As and the event listener I have in the start up folder is picking that up. The event listener calls up a script that asks users to fill in a couple of fields about the specific job and once they do that and click ok, the default inDesign "save as" dialog is brought up. So that is my question -- how to pass the information from my dialog to the standard "save as" dialog (as the file name of the file).
The event listener is of the beforeInvoke on the Save As... menu.
Any idea?

File name Variable

Hi,
I am trying to pass file name as parameter for a procedure which will FTP file to unix location , When i tried the procedure by hard coding the file name it worked fine and FTP was done. Then I tried to create a filename variable thinking i can re use same procedure as i want to ftp multiple files or different file for different interfaces.
I created one variable choosen Data type as Alphanumaric , and default value as null.
then i used the variable in procedure and i get the error below. ( I gave file name as file_xyz_123.csv)

You can modify the previous parameter only where you hard coded value, to change the resource name with a variable.
It will automatically consider variable value which is passed during runtime.
