Regions shorten on their own

Logic 8.02
Regions 3 minutes long shorten when I drag them to the 3-6 minute range. The end of song marker is well past this point. Then they won't (most of the time) properly lengthen unless I drag them back to the beginning.
I've been using Logic for a year and saw this the 1st time yesterday.
Anyone else see this?

We ran into the same thing. I'm assuming you want to display different portlets on the same page with different looks. Here are a few things you might try (depending on the portlets, of course).
- Adding another .css file in the cascade within the UI template
- If using page portlets, add your own formatting to the page
- Use dynamic pages with hard-coded formatting
None of these will work for all cases, mind you. But it might give you a starting point. Good luck!

It sounds like you are talking about the cloning tool?
Tool looks like this:
Then when selected you can change the size of the brush and using Alt (windows) and Command (Mac) to select your region you want to copy then start to create you cloned image.

This can be handled in various ways - but the principles are the same.
You need to apply conditional displays to all of the columns that your user can select and base the display of a column on the value of a field on the page.
You can have a series of Yes/No options - one for each field and base the display on the corresponding field being Yes. Or you can use checkboxes.
However, if you wish to use a multiselect list (which is probably easier as you can dynamically generate the list of field names), you will need to have hidden fields that will store either Y/N or 1/0 (I use ones/zeros) and have the conditional displays watch these fields instead. Populating these hidden fields is a bit more tricky than just having fields on the page that the user can control, but is doable:
1 - Create one hidden field for each field in the report that you want to show/hide. Put these fields in the same region as the select list in a region above the report
2 - Set conditional display values to "Value of Item in Expression 1 = Expression 2" and use the appropriate hidden field for Expression 1 and in Expression 2 enter in 1
3 - Create a page process that runs on submit, and create PL/SQL code something like:

I've used the standard EMP table for this example and my hidden fields are P31_SHOW_fieldname. The code resets the hidden fields to 0, checks if the user has selected the field from the list (P31_FIELDS) and changes the hidden fields value to 1 for all those selected. When the page is re-rendered, the report hides the columns where the hidden field value is 0 and displays those where it is 1. The export option will then only export those fields that are displayed.

Yes. I would clarify your statement about the "shared" iTunes Library though. If you want each iOS device to have its own music library, you should create separate user accounts for them. Read:

I have 2 computers - Windows Based
My husband, myself and the kids all have our own "accounts" on the home computer. This was done to limit certain access when the kids were younger.
The laptop is pretty much mine. I use both computers for my iTunes music.
Everyone has their own iTunes account for their music and games. I have been able to get music purchased by my other family members on my iPod in the past if I logged in the home computer under their IDs and attached my iPod. Or, if a family member downloaded a CD, I could get that music thes same way without having to download the CD again under my own login ID. However, I now have an iPad, and I can't transfer music from the iPod to the iPad - specifically that which was downloaded from CDs - not iTunes. And I couldn't get it to go from my iPod to my laptop, although both are authorized computers in the Home Sharing.
It doesn't seem like the Home Sharing works with the different computer login IDs. The iTunes is universally available regardless of who is logged in, but the libraries vary based on who's user name you are under. I have strugged with importing from one User ID to another, which led me to simply log in under a different family member to get the desired music. There has got to be an easier answer and I'm just not figuring it out.
I've read the support answers, I've read many of the other responses here as well to those with similiar questions, but I am still struggling.
Any suggestions?

If you are completely confident that you didn't hide it, then you purchased those with different apple id. If you completely confident that you purchases with same apple id then you have hidden it. One of the other or you are speaking about a miracle. While miracles are possible they are not very likely. Remember

Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Users & Groups
Decide on whether to setup as Admin or Standard User.
Switch to the New User by logging out under the Apple in the Menu Bar or use Fast User Switching
Fast User Switching allows other users to leave current applications and windows open. Depending on RAM, you might need to log out rather than use FUS.

Good question.
I like the idea of each person staying out of the other's way, so generally my opinion would be each should have their own account.
However, I don't think a 16 year old is allowed to have their own Apple ID. I believe the minimum age is 18.
So maybe Apple has a way around that (like have a parent in custody of a child's account). I'm not smart enough to know.
The advantage of individual accounts is you won't get each other's mail, texts, etc.

Have them delete the iCloud account (your email address) on their devices then let them create their own iCloud account -> http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4436. If all of you are syncing contacts and calendars on the same iCloud account, they have to re-organise those stuffs once they have their own iCloud account. When you delete an iCloud account, it normally asks what would you do for the synced information - keep it on the iOS device or delete. If they choose to keep the synced information (e.g. Contacts and Calendars), they have to delete those thare aren't theirs or they can start from scratch by deleting the synced information from the iOS device. I set up individual Apple ID's for my children so that they could have their own Apple ID on their individual iPad minis (gifts from grandparents last year). When I go to iCloud under Settings, I see my Apple ID listed at the top, then my children's listed under Family Sharing. So the device is still using my Apple ID for iCloud, iTunes, etc., correct?
To "assign" their own Apple ID to their own iPad mini, I would need to "Sign Out" from my Apple ID. When I attempt to do so, I receive a warning that all of the Documents and Data will be lost/deleted.
So, instead of doing this, I figured out that I could do what you suggested. Signing in using a child's Apple ID will allow her/him to use Game Center, FaceTime, and Messages just fine. However, using their Apple ID for iTunes & App Store proved to be a problem: Purchased Music and Movies appeared in iTunes, but my Purchased Apps did not appear. Some Apps even disappeared, e.g. Proloquo4Text (a $99 app to help my son speak with his iPad).
So I reverted to using my Apple ID for iTunes & App Store, and I get everything that I want, EXCEPT for the iCloud storage for each Apple ID.
So that's when I started wondering how Family Sharing was really benefiting me ~ It was a lot of work (deleting apps to allow space to download iOS 8, etc) without any benefit that I can see. UNLESS I find a means to allow me to sign in each iPad's iCloud account with a different AppleID, then perhaps restore the Documents and Data from a backup? Would that work?

How should I give itunes autonomy to my children now that they are in high school and have used my Mac and my itunes account to buy music for years, including all gift cards given to them. They now both have their own computers.

When my children were younger, and needed more help and oversight, I had them purchase songs with my permission, often with gift cards that they had been given on various occaisions. Now, however, they both have laptops, they would like to split out "their" music and books, sync their Itouches to their own system, and I would love to have 9000 less Taylor Swift songs stored on my hard drive. Also, it seems that I can't set up independent Itunes accounts for them without a credit card, however they both get gift cards several times a year. A suggestion for this? It must happen to a lot of families. Thanks.

Unfortunately you cannot split (nor merge) items purchased with an AppleID. I am not clear on what you will have to do to allow them continued access to their music on your account. Apple no longer has DRM protection in its music but then I also hear people have all kinds of authorization issues when trying to synch so it sounds like they still keep restrictions on what you can do with the music when trying to move it about. I'll let somebody more experienced with syncing answer this part. You may have to authorize their computers and devices to your AppleID to allow them all functionality with the music.
Ideally you would have set them up with their own AppleIDs years ago but...

If you are using the same Apple ID on both devices, the Game Center profile should be the same.
Check out this information from the iPad User Guide. Try signing out of the Game Center on both devices and then sign back in with the correct Apple ID:

Content tab in Options..."Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above" and it's box disappeared from my options...I need it back...

I was having problems with some sites having such faded lettering that I couldn't even read them. So I unchecked the box for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above". That screwed EVERYTHING up...backgrounds on websites are gone and buttons are hardly recognizable on some pages (including this one). I went back to re-check that box, and that option is no longer in the menu...the whole sentence and it's associated check box are completely gone. I even tried tabbing through to see if I just couldn't see them, and nothing. Absolutely disappeared. I also tried checking and unchecking the same box under the "advanced" button settings and that made a difference on how web pages looked, but did not fix the problem...Help???

Yes, it is possible. 1 apple ID can be associated with up to 10 devices.

If you have authorized a computer with the old apple ID, you can transfer old media purchased through the old to other devices via iTunes. This doesn't mean the media purchases through the old apple ID it transferred to the new account. If you plan to make future purchases and don't wish to share them with others, make your own apple ID.
