Register a new purchase of CS5.5?
Wondering if in this era of the Creative Cloud, can you still register and use a new purchase of an older version of Creative Suite (like those sometimes available for sale by third party companies)? I ask because I have a Mac version of CS5.5 and I've recently switched to PC. I don't believe I have all of the info required for the OS swap program, so I was hoping to purchase the same version of Creative Suite for PC. All above board, no funny business, just purchasing a copy online to replace the version I've been using. Anyway, I believe you can still register these products but I wanted to confirm before putting down any money.

you should be able to register that, but if it's been registered by a different user you need to make sure the transfer to you is done properly, Transfer an Adobe product license

Go to Apple Menu > App Store > View my account > sign in and then edit the payment details with the new card details.
I am assuming that your card and supporting bank are in the same country as your residential (billing) address and that you are using the App Store of that country. -

Can somebody please help me. I am trying to recover my aunts audio books that she has purchased. I have authorized her new computer and registered her new ipod. There is no option for audio books under purchased and itunes is telling me there are no available downloads. She has purchased several audio books in the last two years.
thank-you! yeah, i cant see going to 64. as it stood sound quality was dodgy. good on some stuff, great on others, and terrible on a few. i have some great news...my ipod is not showing up in itunes. again. i give up. it has music on it. its full to the tippy top. i fooled around with some of the things the trouble shooter wizard thing suggested last night for hours. didnt fix it. after awhile i was just going in circles. i will just live with the thing the way it is. but i will say one thing; after reading some of the posted issues other folks are having i'm just glad i didnt put everything in the cloud....peace

You need to copy all the installer disc to the desktop, Folder by folder. for example, Copy the contents of Payloads folder on Disc 2 to payloads folder of Disc 1, Extension to extensions, etc
Then you will see the setup.app file on the Folder that you created on the desktop.
Run that and check. -

Found out what the issue was... turned out that I typed the answers in wrong.
But I did go in and add in a rescue email just to be on the safe side. -
I registered my new iPhone 5s to my usual Apple ID, however it isn't showing in my devices when I log in. I tried to register it by adding a new device, but it tells me it's already registered to a different Apple ID. I'm really not sure how to fix this. I only have the one Apple ID and the phone is brand new, purchased directly from Apple.
When I check on the phone itself (iCloud and App Store settings) the Apple ID is correct. I'm not sure where else to check.
Whilst setting up the phone, it prompted me to register, which I did. Then when connecting to my laptop through iTunes it prompted me again so I registered again. I even got a confirmation email to the email address associated with my Apple ID that the registration was successful.
How can I add my iPhone 5s to the list of devices on the correct Apple ID?

Old computer died and I am trying to install Illustrator CS5 on new computer.
Last version I had before CS5 was/is Illustrator 10,which has been installed on new computer.
CS5 install says I need CS2,3 or 4 before installing 5, but old computer went directly from 10 to CS5.
How can I repeat this 10 to CS5 install?It does not seem likely that CS6 was upgraded from version 10. You might want to check your purchase history in your Adobe account to see if there is some missing link in the chain of purchases you made.
You can always try contacting Adobe support thru chat to see if they can find information or otherwise assist you in this matter.

I've Just migrated my mac to a new iMac and CS5 is dead
I've Just migrated my mac to a new iMac and CS5 is dead, I can't uninstall it or do anything with it. When I try to load an application it just crashes (I'm guessing because it needs registering on my new machine) and I can't uninstall it.
I've been using CS5 for the past three years, and contemplating getting Creative Cloud. The problem is, it looks like I didn't every properly register CS5 with my Adobe ID, the software package was a download from a thrid party seller, and the email account the sent all the registration info to is no longer in use. . .
When I try to use Application Manager to uninstall it just tells me I need application manager and gives me a link to Adobe's website to download it. I download it, install it, try again, same result, tells me I need to download it. . .
Frustrating.
Any help greatly appreciated, I'm currently completely stuck!Reinstall properly.

I am new to dreamweaver cs5. Just purchased the software and teaching myself the basics. I have created several recent projects and would I like to clean up, delete them and start all over again. To delete recent files in your file list try the following :
On Windows, it's a setting in the Windows registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver\Recent File List
Select each file, right-click and select Delete.
DW must be closed befoire doing this.
If you are unfamiliar with the Registry (be careful !!!!!!), you can access it by executing the following:
Start > Run > REGEDIT > OK
To show (or hide) the Welcome Screen, go to your preference, General Category and chock (or uncheck) the first one.

I purchased Photoshop CS5 for my windows vista operating system. I purchased a canon 7 D some yrs ago no problem. I purchased canon 7D mk 11 in December 2014. The supplied software will not work with vista. Photoshop CS5 will not accept canon7D mk11. Can someone please tell me how i process canon 7D mk11 photos ?????. (is it possible to bypass camera raw and open the photo straight into CS5 without using camera raw first. if so how do i do that. if not how do i process pictures).

Brian in the UK.Photoshop by itself cannot process raw image data. That is why the Camera Raw plug-in was developed. You could try the DNG converter and convert your images to the DNG format and then the Camera Raw that you have would be able to open them. I can't recommend Lightroom because you are using Vista, and Lightroom 5 cannot be used with that operating system. It may be time for you to get a new computer and upgrade your software.

Hhave you signed into iTunes store using the same Apple id that you use for iTunes match?

Complementary Benefits for New Purchase Not Valid?
I purchased Photoshop CS5 Extended and was looking forward to selecting one of the five "complementary benefits" that Adobe offers when you register your product.
So I selected a 30-day free subscription to Lynda.com, then I got a webpage with an activation code and a link to redeem my benefit. But when I clicked on the link I got a webpage at Lynda.com that said, "We're sorry, but the promotional link you followed has expired."
Adobe's webpage with the activation code said to contact Adobe Support if you have a problem claiming your benefit, so I did. But then I was told it wasn't Adobe's problem. It was Lynda.com. Dead end.
I would think that if Adobe is offering incentives on their website to buy their products, that it would be THEIR problem too if a customer couldn't obtain that offer. Anyone else have this problem lately? Are the other offers still valid? I don't know because I was only allowed to make ONE choice. I guess as far as Adobe is concerned, I chose wrong. Rich, you know I have to be honest with you, you really are going to do much better on the Lynda.com site as they probably experience the issues of redemption of the benefit program and I don't think anyone here will be of much help we re only users like yourself.
Now if you also see your part in what you perceive to be a poor response then the whole thing is something you now laugh off as a misunderstanding on your part.
That misunderstanding is due to your expectations of getting answer even though you were in the wrong place, but look at it as Jeff suggested once you were in the right place your answer was forth coming and quick.
So you should actually mark Jeff's first post as the answer. It did get you what you wanted.
Now you can feel like the other responder and never return but then you will miss out on the knowledge and experience that user's like Jeff can offer you.
