Register logic from windows computer

Must EVERYTHING be an ordeal? Can anyone tell me if there's a link to register logic studio online other than the link in logic itself that bugs me every so often. Naturally when I search for "register logic" on this website I get no help.

With the information below it should solve your Issue with the Registration,

  • Remote desktop connection from windows computer to TC

    hi all,
what I have: I have a TC 2TB, bought it three months ago.
what I did: I have set it up at home. Using as base station for all my devices, iphone 4, ipad 2, macbook air and also other laptop. My TC is connected to ADSL modem with an ethernet cable (as expected). with port forwarding option of ADSL modem (in NAT Properties), I managed to forward any connection to TC. I have a static IP by the way.
what I can do: from work or anywhere else other than my home network, I can connect to my static IP (via "Connect to Server" option in any mac device), it pops up a user name and password window, I login with my TC user name and decive password. In an instant my TC disk is mounted on my desktop, and I can reach all my files in it as if it is an external hard disk.
what I cannot do: from a windows computer outside my network, I cannot connect to TC. I try to do this through "Remote Desktop Connection". Is this possible? If so how? Is this a problem related to network connection or TC settings?

You cannot remote desktop into a TC..
In fact you cannot remote access a TC from windows.. sorry.. but SMB protocol is blocked on the internet.. there are work arounds but no security.. don't do it.
The only other protocol the TC offers is AFP.. there is no AFP file access software available for windows. You need to use a Mac.
The best alternative is vpn.. replace your current adsl modem router with a vpn one.. eg draytek.. then you can access your home network. Since I presume when you say you have static ip you mean public IP then vpn is easy (well once setup it is).. reliable and secure.

  • Airplay from windows-computer?

    hello
is it possible to watch films from my windows-computer with airplay and appletv on the tv-screen?
    regards and thanks
    beat

Windows computers don't support AirPlay Mirroring, although there are third party alternatives.
You can however play any film in iTunes on the computer to the Apple TV either via home sharing or by selecting the Apple TV as a monitor/speaker in iTunes.

  • Opening Excel .xlsx files emailed from Windows computer

I have been unable to open an Excel .xlsx file sent as an attachment from an Windows computer. I did download the free version of WinZip Mac, and although I can open it, it is a read-only file. I want to be able to make changes and send it back as I am able to with .xls files. Stuffit doesn't work either. Apple support doesn't understand why I am unable to access it properly.

Considering you are the sender and receiver the solution should be easy. When you are getting ready to save the file on your MS Windows machine instead of saving do a "Save As" and you will see and option to save as .xls format. Once you do that your MS Windows 2004 version on your Mac will be able to read the file. However I think you're wise considering upgrading to Office 2011 on the Mac, that will be much simpler in the long term and you will have a version much more like your Windows version.
While I never used Excel 2004 on my Mac's I did use Excel 2008 which I disliked. However I have since upgraded to Office 2011 and so far found that to be a really nice product.
    Best of luck,
    Roger

  • Burning .dmg file from Windows computer

If I create an iDVD project and save it as a .dmg file (instead of burning it right away), can that file then be burned to a DVD from ANY computer--Windows or Mac?
I'll be away from my external DVD burner (only have the combo drive in my PB) and want to be able to use a Windows computer at work to burn the final DVD.
Is this possible? If so, will it still burn a regular playable video DVD?

Doesn't sound like image files are universal (take a look at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.img). But, why not give it a try? You'll need some method to transport that large file that's also cross-platform (perhaps create a tiny trial project).

  • Manage Airport Express from Windows computer

Is it possible to manage the Airport Express from a Windows computer?
Most of the posts here deal with connection problems from windows to the device - my problem is that I no longer have a macintosh and so I no longer have access to the airport admin utilty.
Does Apple provide a set of admin tools that run on Windows?

It does not work for the airport express. At least I have been unable to get it to work. "An error occurred while trying to access the base station" Is the error I get. iTunes has no problem playing it.
I used to be able to access my Airport Expresses with the software that came with it. But unfortunately I lost my disk and can 't find the right software to download anywhere. It's all for the airport and not the airport express.
Very disappointed with Apple's support for such an expensive device.

  • Transfer from Windows Computer

I am trying to transfer pictures from my father in laws windows computer to my mac to put them in iPhoto. He gave me a CD-R disc with all the pictures I needed on it but when i put in in the computer tells me that the disc is not readable by this computer.....why not?...and what type of media do i need to put the photos on?...does it have to be a dvd-r disc for the mac to read it and let me take the pictures off?....thank you

    Hi-
It could be that the CD has been formatted for Windows. Check with your father in-law to see if the format was in ISO 9660 or High Sierra, or other.
The following explains burning from Mac for Windows, and is for illustrational puposes:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61342
See if you can get a new disc burned in a "universal" format. The PC may need some additional software, or utility, depending on the software used to master the disc. The following discussion may provide some insight:

  • How do I de-register FCE from old computer?

I am attempting to put Final Cut Express on my new computer and the error states that the serial number is not valid.   So I thought I would try to de-register FCE from my old computer however I haven't discovered how to do that.   Any ideas?

There is no de-registration.  Only deinstallation.  The FCE license permits you to install FCE on 1 desktop Mac and 1 laptop Mac provided you own both Macs and only run FCE on one of them at a time.
    Two questions -
Is your existing (older) Mac running on the same network as your new Mac where you are trying to install FCE?  If so, shut it down while you install FCE on the new Mac.
Are you trying to install FCE on a new Mac that has Lion?  FCE is not supported on Lion.

  • How to register iPhone from old computer to my new one.

I have sold my old computer and bought a new one now I need to transfer my iPhone info to my new computer. How can I do this? If I try to sync to my new computer it wants to erase all info on phone.

If you transferred your iTunes library from your old computer to your computer's backup per the instructions included with this link, transfer your iTunes library from your computer's backup to your new computer. This will prevent any iTunes content on your iPhone from being erased with the first sync with iTunes on your new computer.

  • [solved] sharing internet from windows computer with arch laptop

Title is descriptive I think. Stuck on windows on my desktop because I did a thing and don't feel like fixing it yet
I used ICS but the laptop couldn't access the internet and I read someplace that it only works between a windows client and host, and I couldn't find how to do it between a windows host and linux client of any sort.
If it's relevant I'm using a regular yellow ethernet cable (forget which one that one is) and my desktop has a gigabit ethernet card.

If you want make your laptop as access point, then see here
Otherwise, from the Arch side, the wiki is the best place to start from.
Or see this topic is of your interests.
If these are none of your intents, please explain which is the computer and OS connected to internet and which is the computer and OS wants to access the internet.
What are the results of your trials, what steps have you done ?
More details of your doing and targetted answers will be the result.
Modern NICs don't need cross cable, the NIC will detect and self adjust the connection. If one of the two PS is less modern then you need a cross CAT5 cable.

  • Can't print to AEBS from Windows computer

I have an ibook and a Dell desktop running Windows XP. I'm using an AEBS with a Canon i560 connected via USB. This setup has worked fine for two years but now I suddenly can't print from the Dell. I used Rendevous (now BonJour) when initially setting up my network, and it always worked great. The Dell still seems to see the Canon; that is, it shows up in the menu. But when I print, nothing happens, and I eventually get a printer error message. It still prints from the iBook fine. I've tried everything, including deleting the printer and using Rendevous to re-set up the connection. I also tried turning off my firewall, to no avail. Help!
