You have to restore your phone. To do this turn off your phone and disconnect it from your pc or mac. You then have to plug in the usb part of your sychronize cable into your pc or mac. Open itunes. Now press and hold on the home button on your iphone and plug the cable into it while still holding down the home button. Your iphone will now be in recovery mode and on itunes you will see the option that says restore. Click on that and your phone will be restored to factory settings. If you backed up your itunes all your apps will be downloaded back on to your phone. Including all your contacts and text messages. It took me a couple of tries to restore my phone when this happened so if it doesnt work the first time do it again. Took me two tries. Suddenly I have an activation message and it tells me I am not registered under the Developer Program

My phone is registered under my Developer Account. I have been running iOS 5 and suddenly I have a push message alert saying that my phone needs activation. There is no other choice so I continue. Where it tells me ultimately that my device is not registered under the Developer Program. Where in fact in my provisioning port it is registered "Device UDID: a11fd552a3f065fa2a04035ae686fcb333a4deed"
If I can do a hard reset I would. Any advice or why this is happening?

Hooking up to itunes (via cable) I got, a message saying some of your software had expired, then itunes couldn't sync due to not being able to determine the apps on the device.
I then completed a restore from a backup (which also re-installed IOS 5.0 from fresh download)
Now this then did fix the problem.
I therefore think the issue was that we were using a beta version of IOS which had expired, we therefore needed to re-install IOS released version to prevent this issue.
I did try to install the full version once IOS was released, but I couldn't update, I simply got a message from itunes, your system is up to date IOS 5, it didn't seem to read the build number and see that it was a beta release, which would have prevented this issue happening.

Any other Ways to Getting into the Developer Program

So, I signed my company up for the developer program a few days after the original announcement. We're still not in. This has moved from an annoyance during the development process to crisis (our iPhone Apps are add ons to our web apps and we are being yelled at by our customers for not delivering them).
So this is my question, those who were on the waiting list for a long time then got in. What worked? I'm certainly not opposed to paying 20K for some equipment I don't need if that solves the problem.

Ok, so just a bit of followup for others that might be in this situation. Once I waited on hold for another 40 minutes, when I finally spoke to someone, they were able to let me in the program in a matter of a couple minutes (no there wasn't any issues with my application).
So it seems that at the moment Apple is prioritizing by anger level. So, don't be like me and send a few polite e-mails or patiently wait for months. Get on the phone and scream at the top of your lungs (even if your not that angry), it is the only thing they seem to understand.

it is liklely carrier locked. You would have to contact the carrier to which it is locked and ask if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.

Yes you can use a prepaid credt card. It still has to be associated with the country in which you are located which must be the same counry as the iTunes store yu are using.

How are iphone apps distrubted to the 5 devices of the developer program?

I know I can authorize up to 5 devices for my developer program. But how exactly are those apps distributed? I have a member of the team who will be offshore. They will not need to do development, only testing. My only option is ad-hoc? Are the files sent to him? What are the other distribution methods?

Somebody added your phone to the developer portal and they will have to remove it.

Changing the Agent in the Developer Program Portal

Our company just migrated one of our developer's iPhone Developer Program account to a company account.
I know many others on this forum have done this (FYI -- it only took 2 weeks, but we hassled Developer Relations a lot). But has anyone ever changed the agent? In the portal, there's a lock beside the agent's name and it looks like we need to call Developer Relations again.
As usual, I'll get a quicker response from the forums... so has anyone done it successfully? How long did it take? What happens to the account of the agent?

Question regarding the developer program

I'd like to enroll in the iphone developer program.
After selecting the individual application, I cant submit my personal profile without supplying a 'Company / Organization' name.
Do I need to open a company and specify my company name in that field?
Or do I specify my full name?

It is not that it impossible, it is that your account is going to be royally screwed up. There is money involved here. Why would you take a chance on it getting misdirected? Getting any kind of problem corrected with a developer account can take months or even years. I'm serious here. The Apple Developer system doesn't even support changing your address.
You can have multiple Apple IDs. From Apple's prespective, each one is a different person. Apple recommends using multiple Apple IDs if you are selling products on both the iBookstore and the App Stores, for example. If you were doing work for two different companies, I would advise using a different Apple ID for each. If you want to have your own products, you definitely need and Apple ID and developer account free from any external involvement.
The only real downside is that Safari will never again suggest the correct Apple ID to use. No matter which one you want, it will pick the other one. Your Xcode certificates will be an unrecognizeable mess, but then that is true even if you only have one account.

Yes you do. It is only $99.00 USD. You get a lot of milage out of your money with the Apple Developer Program. You have to agree to allow Apple to take 30% of your sales. That is a little when you consider that you are using Apple's advertising power and name to push your applications! They also will answer two code level questions for you. I hope that helps.
