Registering For BT Wifi

How long after BB activation (I have Infinity 1 Unlimited which was activated today) does the system update to allow one to register for BT Wifi?
I have my @btinternet.com address and I've tried both my possible options for the password but my account is not recognised. When I try the forgot password route I enter what I KNOW is correct information yet it still bounces me out.
PS - does anyone know the best number to call regarding sorting out BT Wifi (and Yahoo email) issues? (They're related since they use the same account info to login).

All sorted now. Turns out that the lady in CS (who created my order - I had real issues getting Infinity sorted) created my BT account but hadn't told me what password she had used. Once that was sorted it all went through fine.
The only oddball I have (with email) is that I have set my account to forward emails to my Gmail account, but they don't seem to be forwarding. (I've selected store & forward for the moment, so I don't lose anything). It SEEMS like it is forwarding, but is not being received by Gmail. (And yes, I have checked the SPAM folder. And yes, I have entered the Gmail address correctly, and verified it).
Any ideas?

Trying to register for WIFI

I'm trying to register for free wifi. I'm a BT Broadband customer who joined around mid September 2013. I've downloaded the app to my Galaxy tablet but when i try and login using my e mail i get the message that this user name is not sa primary e mail - not sure I reallly understand! You should use your primary email address to log on. It is not your BTID unless you have made your BTID the same as your email address and password. The primary email address is the one which BT gave you when you first signed up. It is usually sent to you and will be something like [email protected]

I have registered iPod touch under my name, then decided to reset and went into face time, asked for apple id. Input my wife's apple id but it says check Internet connection while out Wi Fi is on and going. What should I do to activate face time for my wife id to use?

Also be aware that by using different Apple ID's, you will not be able to use the same Apps on both devices like you would under one Apple ID. You will need to purchase TWO copies of all Apps, one each under each Apple ID.
If you just want to change the iPad's name, you can do so under Settings>General>About.

Recently there was a wifi problem at my house. Just recently our company fixed it. I connected to it on my iPod and it told me to re register for both FaceTime and iMessage, however, as soon as I log in with my Apple ID and press 'Sign In', nothing happens. It just takes me back to the log in page. How do I fix it to let me use both again? Thanks in advance for any help.

It would help to head to Settings -> General -> Date & Time and make sure it is set to Automatic. You could also try using Google's DNS servers as doing so has resolved the issue for a number of users. Head to Settings -> Wi-Fi and tap the > next to the network you are connected to. Scroll down to the DNS fields and enter in 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

Cannot Register username in WiFi setup!

During registration for the WiFi service (access to hotspots) You must pick a username and password. Despite following the instructions and using several usernames of at least three characters, containing only letters - I get the error message:
"User name contains one or more invalid characters"
I have tried dozens of alternates using numbers, caps, etc. and have been carefull not to include any spaces or other characters.
Looking in the FAQ I saw something about users of 64Bit Vista needing to use 32 Bit IE8.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I assume IE is 64 bit but haven't figured that out yet.
Is this the problem?

I do not have an answer to your questions, I have not tried to register, but you should be able to easily see if 64-bit IE8 vs. 32-bit IE8 is the problem. I have a new laptop with 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium, if I go into
Start ==> All Programs ==>
I see two entries for Internet Explorer, one for 64-bit and the other not identified (but it is the 32-bit version). Assuming yours is the same, you could start the 32-bit version and see if it works.
Of course it may also just be that Verizon has not yet figured out how to support Windows 7. For example, if you try to download and install the Verizon In-Home Agent, a tool they highly promote, it won't install on Windows 7, only XP and Vista. Not too bright in my opinion.....

Be aware Orange will process the request at their speed

Time Machine does not do individual accounts. It records the complete drive. So if you were to use her TM backup on your Mac it would make your Mac just like hers. Both yours and her account on your MAC.
Just copy the missing files over from her Mac to yours. If there are differennt programs on each then they would need to be installed on both.

I bought a new HP LaserJet 500 Color M551dn earlier this week and when I click on "Enable HP Web Services" it has been stuck on the following message for days: "This device is currently being registered for ePrint. Please try again later." I have tried manually assigning a new IP address and changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as suggested in other posts but it has not made any difference. Perphaps someone from HP can resolve this issue. Please help.

Trying to reformat hard drive for my Wife - Cannot download OS to install because of Apple ID problem.

I booted into the recovery partition. Erased hard drive, and I'm trying to reinstall the OS (Lion) with a brand new Apple ID. When I attempt to install, the installer states "this apple ID has not yet been used with the app store".
I created a new Apple ID using my Mac Pro. I had to verify her email addresses and everything, the account is valid as far as I know.
What do I do to get this to work? This laptop will be for my Wife, and she is a brand new account.

I had to create a second user on my account on my Mac Pro using her ID. I logged in as her. Then I logged into the App Store (while logged in as her) and attempted to download a free app. I was hoping that this would "validate" her Aple ID so that I could then install Lion.
Then I went back over to the laptop and attempted to install Lion as her, using her Apple ID. It would not let me because Lion was never purchased using her Apple ID. This is dumb considering that I need to reinstall Lion before I can upgrade to Mavericks, which is free.
So I am currently reinstalling Lion under MY apple ID so that I may later on upgrade it to Mavericks.

According to Apple's customer service line you can return an engraved iPad for an exchange, but it's not clear if it's within 14 or 30 days. If you call they says 30, but their site says 14. I think it has to be purchased straight through Apple though. Contact where you bought it from and tell them you are thinking of buying a iPad and having it engraved, but are concerned about the refund policy. They'll explain it in more detail at that time.

How To Register For a New eFax Account on the Photosmart eStation

If you ever find yourself unable to log in to your eFax account and you have contacted HP Technical Support and eFax only to find the problem cannot be fixed by either party, there is a way to register for a different account but the only way to do this involves using a Photosmart eStation. The error you may get will read "Invalid Login" and is only applicable on the Photosmart eStation, HP Envy Series, and the Photosmart 7510 regardless of whether you are trying to create a new account or just access one that already exists, here are the steps to fix that:
1. Go to www.efax.com and sign in.
2. Select "Update Account" and then select the profile tab.
3. Change the current contact email to a dummy/alternate email (must have a phone number listed on this page before changes will go into effect).
a) Using the @hpeprint.com email may cause problems.
b) Log out of eFax account.
4. Go to the E-station and follow these instructions to be able to register for a new account:
a) On the top of the E-station, select the 3rd Menu button (3 lines) and go to
b) Select Settings then
c) Tools then
d) Advanced then
e) Applications and
f) Manage Applications
g) next Filter > select All and wait for all the apps to load.
h) Scroll down to very bottom for Webfax
i) and then Clear Data in this section
j) Select the Home button at the top and
k) Select Efax and register for a new account with a preferred email and zip code
l) Write down the new phone number and check your email for a new 4-digit PIN
5. Repeat these steps to clear the Web Fax data and then try to login to efax.com on the printer by selecting
a) eFax button
b) Settings
c) Account and upgrade information
d) Change
e) After selecting chance, in this area, login to eFax on the printer with the new number and pin.
6. The best test to ensure everything is working now is to send yourself an eFax so you can check for incoming and outgoing processes to be just as you expect it to be.
7. Print the ePrint info page so that the printer's ePrint email address will be associated with the new eFax account.
And that is the trick on how to get a new eFax account if you are experiencing issues with signing in from the front panel of the printer. If you do not have access to a Photosmart eStation, then contact HP Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in North America or are an English-speaking customer for assistance with this step.

Problem with islsm drivers for my wifi card

Hello! I'm using stable version of Arch Linux with newest beyound kernel (2.6.19 AFAIR) and trying to compile islsm drivers for my wifi pci card.
I've downloaded source like it is showed in http://prism54.org/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=1557 and cut headers like it is showed in: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … +directory
(i used 'sed -i /linux.config.h/d *' because i didn't compile kernel by self and make searches config file).
Unfortunately after make load i get:

Hi: Unfortunately, the support pages are not working for most of the newer HP PC's. It has been that way for about a day now. Since I am not employed by nor do I represent HP, I am not sure when they will have the pages working again. Check back again some other time. With the Independence Day holiday weekend in the USA, I would not expect this to be taken care of immediately.
