Registering My Ipod Help??

Alright, this may sound a little confusing, but I'm not sure what to do. I've tried on 3 occasions to register my new ipod. I connect it into iTunes and the welcome screen comes up. The only problem is the welcome screen is cut off, and i can't make the iTunes screen any larger, so i thnik the "register now" button is being cut-off because i can see the "register later" one. Does anyone know how i can make the screen bigger, or register my ipod elsewhere?

Open the Control Panel, click on Displays, and change the monitor's resolution to at least 1024 by 768.

Cannot register iPod - help!

i got an iTouch for my birthday, and i tried to connect it to my computer. It gives me the option to register it, but i can't find the button to register it. i only see a button that says 'register later.' it starts to cut off the words, like if there was a scroll bar to move to the right, i dont see it. its definately not there. i have an old iPod, which is connected to another computer in my house. that computer is way old and i dont think the iTunes library will let me buy any more songs because i'm unable to upgrade to another level of iTunes. but thats not the problem i'm having.

I've checked the forums and everything I've found has involved things that I have been unable to do involving the itunes restore. Please save my ipod from a hammer.

You can try 2 things:
Restart your iPod by - Holding the Power and Home buttons until you see the Apple logo.
Put your iPod in DFU and restore - Hold the Power and Home until the screen goes black, wait about 2 seconds, release the power button but keep holding the home for 15 seconds, then on iTunes, Restore and Update.

Registering multiple iPods on same computer

I currently have a 4G 2nd generation iPod that is registered to our computer. My husband just received a 4th generation iPod. Can you register multiple iPods onto the same computer?
My other question is if you purchase a used iPod, how do you register that and is there anything else we should consider when looking at purchasing a used iPod?

How do I register my Ipod to my new Windows HP Pro?

I got rid of my Apple computer and now have a Windows XP Pro lap top. I do not have any music saved on my Itunes (all in my Ipod) and I don't know how to register my Ipod to my new computer without erasing everything. Please help!!

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the PC as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.
However, if your iPod is Mac formatted, you'll only be able to copy content off of it using a program such as XPlay as Windows PCs cannot read or write to Mac OS X formatted hard drives/storage disks.

Changing Facetime settings on an iPod will have no affect on cellular settings on an iPhone. Something else is going on there. If she did not change any settings on the phone, then nothing she did could affect your celluar 3G.

No. I mean you can install Find my Ipod but honestly that app is so easy to defeat that it doesn't do much. But now that you've got it on iTunes you can add music or movies or apps.

Hello. I realized that you can register your ipod to your apple account with the serial number in the box. Because of this, I am able to track my lost iPod touch the moment it has wifi -its in lost mode (so yeah, I;m just waiting for it to go online before it alarms, displays my phone number, and locks)
NOW THE OTHER SITUATION: Right before I bought that iPod, someone at home lost my previous 2010 iPod touch. I still have the box(THE SERIAL NUMBER) AND the receipt so I thought maybe if I register the serial number, I can have it tracked on iCloud. I was able to "register" when I visited the page, "register your iPod" but it didn't show up in my Apple Support Profile thing... when I registered it from there, it showed that the thief already registered it in ther Apple I.D.
Now if I still have serial number/the box/and the proof of purchase, will apple be able to help me by tracking it or at least red flag/disable the thief's usage of the iPod??? I don't know. It's just that I think I see that the technology is there butI don't know if it can be used for people who's iPod's have been stolen and/or lost like me. wow. so these thieves can just LEGALLY take over your iPod with their accounts. Using a serial number that YOU BOUGHT while you have the PROOF of purchase and the BOX still WITH YOU--even if serial number tracking technology is available--the device is still allowed to live for them, while apple provides them legal services. It should at least be disabled How tragic. Next time I own a THIRD iPod (which is not anytime soon), I'll have to chain it to my neck... oh the world

But when i want to register my ipod with itunes (v10.2.2.12), i have this message:

Question about registering the iPod

I bought an iPod touch for my brother as a Christmas gift and would like to download some music and pictures for him before he receives it. If I register this iPod, will he be able to re-register all the information on his computer later? Better yet, is there a way I can download songs to the iPod without registering?

They're not ridiculous but you can't do it that way.
You can put together a compilation of videos and movies and give him the gift card for that when you give him the iPod.
Just click on Buy iTunes Gifts in the store ( box on the upper right ) and scroll down the gift card page till you get to the "gift compilations".
Follow the instructions from there.

Is it necessary to register your iPod?

I don't have any of the normal settings on my iTunes, not even when I click on my iPod icon under devices. By normal settings I mean ones like the Summary Tab etc etc. When I click on the iPod, instead of getting the settings, I get a big picture advertising iPods along with a link that leads me to register my iPod. I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of to get these settings, I've even reinstalled iTunes but nothing works.

I have scrolled down and all you see on that screen shot is all there is. There is no buttons lower down.
I don't seem to have the screen that allows you to chose what you're syncing, see the capacity of stuff you have on it, etc. That's what I'm on about.
