In continuation to the suggestion given above, you have to assign number ranges as under:-
Go to SNRO (or) SNUM and select any of the below objects required by you and select NUMBER RANGE on top. It will ask for "Series Group". Give the respective plant's series group and click "Change intervals".

Excise Invoice and RG Registers

My client is into Electrical installation services , I would like to know whether Excise invoices and the RG registers are need to be updated.
The nature of business of the company is procuring trading material from the vendors and do the installation, testing and commissioning and raise the invoice. so for some of the material which they procure have Excise Duty and where as the output taxes are VAT and CST only.
I would like to know whether I have to configure CIN details and what are the registers to be updated.

I am also with a client whose business is Electricial, Mechinical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting Installation services.
The business process is exact same as the process explaned to you.
Here we dont not update any Excise registers because we dont claim the Excise duty paid in Purchased goods.
The only Taxes applicable here are CST, VAT & Service Tax.
When we Purchase goods, the Excise Amount is shown seperately in PO Conditions but the value is updated in Material Cost. Only the Purchase / Sales taxes are posted in seperate GL accounts & VAT returned is claimed.
Thus in your case too I feel no Excise Registers updation is required.

Hi All, Really hope some of you techies may have suggestions for this as it's driving me nuts. I actually have a new PC and a new laptop, and the same thing happens with both machines. With my PC, the first time I plugged my iPod in, I was asked whether I wanted to wipe everything on my iPod, and reload as per the library on my new machine. As I use my iPod in my zumba and dance classes, I was very weary of doing this before I had checked to ensure all my music was in my library, so at that point I replied 'No'. Since then, i~Tunes registers my iPod, but will not sync to the library (and playlists) on my i
Tunes. It seems bonkers to have to go as far as uninstalling, then reinstalling, iTunes. Is there really no other way to get round this?
Any suggestions gratefully received!

thought that it was possible to have the same iTunes library on any machine that was authorised, a kind of cloud-iTunes I guess.

RG registers and PLA registers - Extraction Problem

We have updated balances in table J_2IACCBAL for initial entries for RG registers and PLA registers but the same is not available for extraction in J2I5.
Could you please advise what the problem is?

We have updated the balance as on 31.03.2007 as per SAP Help. We tried extracting as on 31.03.2007 as well as 01.04.2007.
Cut over data is as on 31.03.2007 and golive date is 01.04.07.

Bought a new Ipod touch and the WiFi does not connect. Tried Reset and total Restore, does not connect to Router on DHCP, tried Static manually and still can not get it to connect even though it registers as connected.

Tried Reset and total Restore, does not connect to Router on DHCP, tried Static IP, Subnet, Router and DNS manually and still can not get it to connect even though it registers as connected. Using Airport for router, latest firmware, no problems with Iphone 4 or Macbook Pro or any other internet devices. After total Restore (factory settings) tried again, showed connected to router, but does not display "check" next to router but little rotating icon even though the wifi range signal shows connected at full strength and it says it is connected. Just can't seem to get it to generate an IP. Any solutions other than turning it on and off again? Not a Merry Christmas morning.

Ok, so, a couple of things: Denisefromwaleska and I have the exact same size/type/color iPod. Now wishing I'd bought the black one maybe...
Second, Airport is an Express and I have a second one that I carry with me when I travel. Tried to connect my Airport Express to the internet and could not although the iPod did recognize the router and tried to connect to the internet for some time, unlike my previous problem. Updated firmware on my travel router, still could not connect to the internet. Going to try to set up a manual Static IP on the travel router here in a few and conect through it although I predict the problem will persist. Back on the Christmas Present Airport Express router, it is back in play and working fine for all devices save the iPod.

How to configure multiple sip registers ?

I have a CME with several cisco phones and 1 SIP TSP. SIP trunk is registered and calls are coming in and out, but the thing is that only 1 active call can be made. If one is active second call cannot be made. I contacted our TSP, they have asterisk on their side and they said that if I want to use more channels I have make more registers with different usernames. Router model is 2900 with universal IOS 15.2. this is the old config of sip-ua :

actually the realms and registar-s are the same IP addresses, passwords are also the same, only difference is in username. The thing is that I cannot enter new authentiation parameters, when I enter the new one it replaces the old one.

as you can see second username cannot register.
So I have 2 questions:
1) Does cisco router's SIP trunk support more than one channels ( simultineous calls) or not?
2) If it doesnot support , how can I add second register and what is needed to use it for several calls at a time?

Registeres ipod in old computer got a new one but it wont recognice ipod

Hello, i had an old computer where i registeres my ipod, i have a new laptop now buti cant download any music to the ipod as i cannot register ipod in the new computer. I have been told that once you register your i pod with i tunes in a computer you cant use another one after. Surely that cannot be right? how can i tel my laptop that this is my ipod and i want new song downloaded to it? it does recognice it as a camera but not as an ipod. Thank you very much for your help.

Start here. It is normal for the computer to recognize the iPod as a camera since that is how you get photos off the iPod.

Failure of LabVIEW DSC 8.0.1 to yield values of Modbus RTU holding registers

So, I know what I'm doing--or used to. Have done this before in LV 6 and 7. Previously used Lookout OPC drivers and the "Tag Engine".
Recently with 8.0.1, I first set up the Industrial Automation OPC servers (AKA Lookout) to communicate with the holding registers (40,001-49,999) of my modbus rtu Watlow 96 and MLS316 temperature controllers. Subsequently, with the Server Explorer all of my 133 parameters on our 2 rs485 serial ports are communicating bidirectionally.
So now Duh, why can I not bind a shared variable to register, say 40,334, and eliminate the OPC? The data is always reported as bad. Neither can I link shared variables to these addresses through the OPC I/O server.
Am I missing something? Are there any examples of code available where individual modbus holding registers are communicated with bidirectionally?

Well, this may seem rather silly but I viewed the video demo that NI has on binding modbus registers to shared variables before I even made my attempt.
Now, differing from the demo video, I am using modbus RTU on a serial port. Also differing from the video, when I create my shared variables, they are not placed in the same lvlib as the modbus server just created--LabVIEW prompts for a new library to be created.
Could the NI product service staff please test with a serial modbus RTU device (a real living creature and not just a simulation please) the bidirectional communications and prove functionality with the Shared Variable Monitor of your product? I suggest that you attempt communicating with holding registers 40,001 through 49,837.
By the way, my com is set up correctly for I can view and or change all of the desired modbus RTU registers using the OPC Lookout Protocol Drivers through the Server Explorer.
Please do not send me any more links to videos that test with simulations. A real solution is required.

Is there and alternative to shift registers for saving data across iterations in a subVI operating inside a loop?

I am creating a subVI state machine (case structure) which will run inside a while loop which will be executing every 250ms. The reason I wanted to make the state machine case structure into a subVI is because I want to execute 64 of the machines within the same loop. The goal is to monitor certain types of voltage changes on 64 I/O channels on a FP2200 RT module and report periodic details about state changes to a database. My thinking was that by executing each independent machine in the same loop structure, I will only worry about one thread. It seems that the alternative of having one state machine thread per I/O channel is probably more than the RT module can handle. Please correct me if I am wrong on that.
The issue I'm now having is as I'm creating the state machine, I am finding that I need to keep track of some pieces of data from one loop iteration to the next. This is easy enough to do with shift registers but in order to use them, I have to create additional input nodes to my SubVI as well as output nodes. For example, I want to use a queue to buffer some I/O data but as of now, I have to create this queue outside the loop, pull it into the loop across a shift register, feed it to the subVI, and output it to the out Shift register. It would be better if I didn't have to output this queue because there's no reason for anything to have access to it outside the subVI. It just creates an extra set of wires to look at and makes me worry a bit about maintainability.
Is there a better way to approach this problem?

You could place a while loop inside your sub vi that has a true constant wired to the stop condition. Then add unitialized shift registers to that while loop to keep data between iterations.
or you could use a feedback node inside the sub vi

LV 8.21: strange behavior with DAQ tasks, parallel running VI's and shift registers

Hello,
I have made a VI using DAQmx vi's. The VI uses shift registers to store DAQ tasks and other (internal) information. I have implemented several modes of operation (enum control with a case structure) like 'init', 'read AD', 'config AD' etc. If I use this multi mode VI in a single main VI everything work as expected. I have attached a jpg that shows one example where the DAQ VI is called from 2 parallel running while loops. One loop aquires the data (LOOP 1) while the other loop configures the aquisition task (LOOP 2). If I implement the same thing by putting LOOP2 in a different VI that runs seperately from the first VI I get an error message (200428):

Measurements: Value passed to the Task/Channels In control is invalid.
The value must refer to a valid task or valid virtual channels.

Of course, the second VI is started manually after the 1. VI has passed the initialization part. The error message is triggered from the 1. VI that executes the DAQ task. From my understanding of the LV execution system this seems like a bug to me. Does anyone have an idea what could go wrong here?

1. In general, this kind of technique is something I've been using successfully for years. (Ben recently wrote up a very nice treatment of these "Action Engines" as a "Community Nugget.") So I don't start by expecting this to be a bug in the LV execution system.
2. Your description of the problem sounds almost backwards. You say you manually start the 2nd vi ("Config AD") *after* running the 1st vi ("Read AD"). Seems like you'd need to do the Config 1st and then do the Read, right? I kinda suspect you actually did it in the right order, but described it wrong.
3. The next likely scenario is that the Config failed, but you didn't trap the error and were unaware of it. Then it makes sense that the Read would also fail.
4. A couple issues I regularly deal with in these DAQ Action Engines is internal error handling. I often keep a shift register inside to store errors generated inside the Action Engine. But it can get a little tricky doing sensible things with both the internal error and any other error being wired in as input.
I said all that so I can say this: if you have complex nested case statements, or lots of different action cases to handle, double check that the task wire makes it from all the way from left shift register to right. Sometimes they get lost if they go through a case statement, the output tunnel is set to "use default if unwired", and 1 or more of the cases don't wire the output.

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Before you reinstall the Apple software, also remove iCloud vi Control Panel Remove programs. The reinstall the Apple programs

ITunes no longer registers or rips CDs

I've exhausted the information that is provided in the iTunes help area for figuring this out.
iTunes ran the CD/DVD drive diagnostics, where it said everything was fine, and in which it showed that it SEES the drive, but despite that it won't access any CDs IN the drive to play or rip from them.
So I tried the old standby: rebooting.
And after that, the FIRST CD that I entered into the drive resulted in iTunes changing from its default grey to a white skin, then back. So for the very first CD it registers that a CD exists, tho it never shows up in the player window. Then the drive is ignored for anything but diagnostic tests after that (i.e. the skin-color-change doesn't repeat with any newly-inserted CDs).
Here in the forum I found others asking the same thing. One suggestion was to see if the CD would rip in another program, so I tried. It rips just fine in Windows Media Player.
So it is definitely a problem with iTunes.
Possibly relevant:
I recently had to reformat the iPod ('restore factory settings') since - after I changed computers from one with Win2K on it to Win7 the new install didn't recognize the info properly from the old files. (The iPod was showing the wrong (or no) album art for the tunes I've had for years. I figured it was keeping old reference points from the W2K iTunes install, even though the new one was using new reference codes... so: 'restore factory settings'.)
I know that I ripped a couple CDs in iTunes before that happened with the iPod, and they were OK (i.e. iTunes recognized the drive and ripped from it without effort). So I'm wondering if possibly the iTunes program got corrupted in the process of fixing the iPod? If so, how can I fix that?
Or are there other ideas if that is unlikely/impossible?

It is a shame people can't lose points for responses given here. ed2345, the response you gave clearly showed you did not read or pay attention to the relevant information given in my first post. The link you supplied only led to information I had already discussed and covered in that original post.
And then you said, "If those suggestions don't help, and you get tired of messing with it, put your WMP Rip setting on MP3, rip the CD, and add the resulting MP3s to your iTunes library." Trying to fix a program that previously worked, and clearly has BECOME dysfunctional, in favor of doing something every few days for the duration of this new computer's lifetime is supposed to be preferable to finding a one-time fix? That is not helpful. Nor is that reasonable to ask for someone to do that with a program that is supposed to be useful, and worked fine up until a week ago.
Adding more frustration to this problem by giving less than useless 'help' makes trying to figure this out even more aggravating.

IPod nano (1st generation) no longer registers in iTunes

iPod nano (1st generation...5 years old) no longer registers in iTunes. Music is no longer a viewable option when connected to iTunes through Mac Pro.
