# formsweb.cfg defines parameter values used by the FormsServlet (frmservlet)
# This section defines the Default settings. Any of them may be overridden in the
# following Named Configuration sections. If they are not overridden, then the
# values here will be used.
# The default settings comprise two types of parameters: System parameters,
# which cannot be overridden in the URL, and User Parameters, which can.
# Parameters which are not marked as System parameters are User parameters.
# SYSTEM PARAMETERS
# These have fixed names and give information required by the Forms
# Servlet in order to function. They cannot be specified in the URL query
# string. But they can be overridden in a named configuration (see below).
# Some parameters specify file names: if the full path is not given,
# they are assumed to be in the same directory as this file. If a path
# is given, then it should be a physical path, not a URL.
# USER PARAMETERS
# These match variables (e.g. %form%) in the baseHTML file. Their values
# may be overridden by specifying them in the URL query string
# (e.g. "http://myhost.mydomain.com/forms/frmservlet?form=myform&width=700")
# or by overriding them in a specific, named configuration (see below)

Webutil throws 'RegisterWebUtil not found' after applying patch 10.1.2.3
Hi All,
We have set up an OAS server and patched it to release 10.1.2.3. To get webutil to work, I took a fresh copy of frmwebutil.jar (dated 28-1-2008) and jacob.jar (1_8). I signed them both using the same sign_webutil.bat. I had to change the JAR_KEY between signing frmwebutil.jar and jacob.jar or otherwie the signing procedure would throw an error. Both jar files were copied to the %ORACLE_HOME%\forms\java directory. Webutil.cfg and web*.htm have also been setup. When I now start the URL http://'myserver'/forms/frmservlet/?config=webutil ,I get the test form and all seems well, but the Java console shows me the following lines :
Loading http://prdas0.assai.nl/forms/java/frmall_jinit.jar from JAR cache
Loading http://prdas0.assai.nl/forms/java/frmwebutil.jar from JAR cache
Loading http://prdas0.assai.nl/forms/java/jacob.jar from JAR cache
load: class oracle.forms.webutil.common.RegisterWebUtil not found.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed.
I have tried various things but seem to be running around in circles. Is there anyone out there that can point me in the right direction ?
Thanks a million,
Gerrit BreebaartI forgot to mention that I did flush the JAR cache to make sure the new JAR's would be downloaded.

Webutil bean not found when using call_form with no_share_library_data
Hi,
I have two Forms modules and i navigate from Form A to Form B using a call_form.
If i call Form B with NO_SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA param, i get a webutil error: "oracle.forms.webutil.file.filefunctions bean not found"
If i call it with SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA, there no error and my webutil function works as expected.
Webutil is used in our application are works well so i don't think that it's webutil config problem.
Any idea?
TxThanks for your answer.
Now I'am a little bit further with my debugging but it's more strange! forget the share_library_data...
I start a common form with webutil.pll attached and i will use the Webutil_File.File_Exists function for example
if i call it in the WNFI or WNBI, i get the error
if i call it via a push-button WBP for example, it works!
below the java console ouput when i get the error and after pushing ok on the error

Oracle.forms.webutil.file Transfer.File Transfer bean not found
I've followed tons of instructions for 2 days to install and configure webutil and I finally have success with the demo. However, when I add this to my own form and use the CLIENT_IMAGE.READ_FILE_IMAGE
I end up with error oracle.forms.webutil.file Transfer.File Transfer bean not found WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.getMaxTransfer will not work.
What am I missing? Thanks for any help.Make sure your form subclasses object group webutil.olb, and that webutil.pll is also attached. Make sure that your forms folder contains webutil.plx (a compiled version of webutil.pll). Unless the default config (in formsweb.cfg) includes the entries required for webutil support, you must specify a config that does have these entries. 10g, which comes configured for webutil, provides a config called webutil for this. An example URL might look like:
http://myappserver/forms/frmservlet?form=myform.fmx&config=webutil
There could be other problems, but since you're able to run the demo forms, I'm guessing that what I've mentioned are the first things for you to check.
Hope this helps,

Webutil runtime error, object not found
Hi,
I´m trying to use webutil, but i cant even run the demo. When the first webutil function is called, theres a exception because its not found, although there is no error in connecting the library.
If someone has a hint,that would be very kind.

Webutil Demo form is not working !!!!
Hi,
I Download WebUtil Demo form, compiled it and tried to run the demo form using Forms 11g but at run time the following error alert appears:
oracle.forms.webutil.clientinfo.GetClientInfo bean not found.
WEBUTIL_CLIENTINFO.GET_SYSTEM_PROPERTY will not work
My environment is Oracle Forms 11g on which Webutil is already installed as it is mentioned in Forms 11g FAQ. So I did not change or add anything for webutil.
Any Help !!!!
Regards,
Yousuf.hi
i am not sure for 11g but u can try this.........
How to get up and running with WebUtil 1.06 included with Oracle Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2 on a win32 platform
Solution
Assuming a fresh "Complete" install of Oracle Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2,
here are steps to get a small test form running, using WebUtil 1.06.
Note: [OraHome] is used as an alias for your real oDS ORACLE_HOME.
Feel free to copy this note to a text editor, and do a global find/replace on
[OraHome] with your actual value (no trailing slash). Then it is easy to
copy/paste actual commands to be executed from the note copy.
1) Download http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/jacob-project/jacob_18.zip
and extract to a temporary staging area. Do not attempt to use 1.7 or 1.9.
2) Copy or move jacob.jar and jacob.dll
[JacobStage] is the folder where you extracted Jacob, and will end in ...\jacob_18
cd [JacobStage]
copy jacob.jar [OraHome]\forms\java\.
copy jacob.dll [OraHome]\forms\webutil\.
The Jacob staging area is no longer needed, and may be deleted.
3) Sign frmwebutil.jar and jacob.jar
Open a DOS command prompt.
Add [OraHome]\jdk\bin to the PATH:
set PATH=[OraHome]\jdk\bin;%PATH%
Sign the files, and check the output for success:
[OraHome]\forms\webutil\sign_webutil [OraHome]\forms\java\frmwebutil.jar
[OraHome]\forms\webutil\sign_webutil [OraHome]\forms\java\jacob.jar
4) If you already have a schema in your RDBMS which contains the WebUtil stored code,
you may skip this step. Otherwise,
Create a schema to hold the WebUtil stored code, and privileges needed to
connect and create a stored package. Schema name "WEBUTIL" is recommended
for no reason other than consistency over the user base.
Open [OraHome]\forms\create_webutil_db.sql in a text editor, and delete or comment
out the EXIT statement, to be able to see whether the objects were created witout
errors.
Start SQL*Plus as SYSTEM, and issue:
CREATE USER webutil IDENTIFIED BY [password]
DEFAULT TABLESPACE users
TEMPORARY TABLESPACE temp;
GRANT CONNECT, CREATE PROCEDURE, CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM TO webutil;
CONNECT webutil/[password]@[connectstring]
@[OraHome]\forms\create_webutil_db.sql
-- Inspect SQL*Plus output for errors, and then
CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM webutil_db FOR webutil.webutil_db;
Reconnect as SYSTEM, and issue:
grant execute on webutil_db to public;
5) Modify [OraHome]\forms\server\default.env, and append [OraHome]\jdk\jre\lib\rt.jar
to the CLASSPATH entry.
6) Start the OC4J instance
7) Start Forms Builder and connect to a schema in the RDBMS used in step (4).
Open webutil.pll, do a "Compile ALL" (shift-Control-K), and generate to PLX (Control-T).
It is important to generate the PLX, to avoid the FRM-40039 discussed in
Note 303682.1
If the PLX is not generated, the Webutil.pll library would have to be attached with
full path information to all forms wishing to use WebUtil. This is NOT recommended.
8) Create a new FMB.
Open webutil.olb, and Subclass (not Copy) the Webutil object to the form.
There is no need to Subclass the WebutilConfig object.
Attach the Webutil.pll Library, and remove the path.
Add an ON-LOGON trigger with the code
NULL;
to avoid having to connect to an RDBMS (optional).
Create a new button on a new canvas, with the code
show_webutil_information (TRUE);
in a WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger.
Compile the FMB to FMX, after doing a Compile-All (Shift-Control-K).
9) Under Edit->Preferences->Runtime in Forms Builder, click on "Reset to Default" if
the "Application Server URL" is empty.
Then append "?config=webutil" at the end, so you end up with a URL of the form
http://server:port/forms/frmservlet?config=webutil
10) Run your form.sarah -

WebUtil: oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host bean not found
Hi. This is my first attempt using WebUtil. The following code is in my When-New-Form-Instance trigger:
client_host('N:\TTMS\ITS\vbasic\compiled\MenuUpdate.exe');
This is the error I receive:
oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host bean not found
I've included my formsweb.cfg below for your reference. Note that the application is using the [ttmsmenu] configuration.
Thanks in advance for your help with this problem.

I was running this form out of Form Builder 10g. At some point I changed the Application Server URL (Edit => Preferences => Runtime menus) from:
http://ssbuechl2.div16.ibm.com:8889/forms/frmservlet?config=ttmsmenu
to:
http://ssbuechl2.div16.ibm.com:8889/forms/frmservlet?
So my customized configuration with all the WebUtil references was not being referenced and I was getting the error.

shikha...Hi Shika,
Probably, the issue could be because of any one of the following.
<br>
<br>
1. Check whether you have added $OARCLE_HOME\forms90\java\frmwebutil.jar in the default.env under $ORACLE_HOME\Forms90\server folder.
<br>
<br>
2. Check whether you have added the virtual directory
<virtual-directory virtual-path="/webutil" real-path="$OARCLE_HOME/forms90/webutil" />
in the file orion-web.xml under $ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\DevSuite\application-deployments\forms\forms90web folder
