Registration / inability to connect to register

I am using a legitimate Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0. The problem is when I go to register it, the registration fails with a small dialogue box saying it is unable to connect. I am actually connected with 3,000kbps broadband since the computer came, so I am at a loss to explain why it cannot connect so I can register the software. Does anybody have a clue what is happening? Thanks. :-)

My Adobe Photo shop Album Starter Edition 3.0 has this problem also. When I try to open it from the desktop it shows the registration form which I fill out then it says it can not connect to the web. I am on the web at the same time to the adobe web. then the thing freezes on my computer and will not click off. I have Windows XP and Dell computer. It works perfectly to open jpgs sent to me as attachments. Help anyone!?

Registration didn't connect........

When I installed Leopard onto my MacBook Pro, when the registration window came up and I tapped the registration button, the little swirling icon just went around and around and didn't connect. I think I had the wireless connection off when the window came up, but turned it on when I saw it needed to be turned on. I cancelled out of it. Is this common, or is there something that I am missing? Also is there a way to register it again. I know that there is a place to register software and such, but not the actual Operating System. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Unable to connect to register the serial number

Just bought Adobe premiere elements 13.
When I open the programm it asks to register the serial number. I click to connect (the connexion on the internet is working properly) but it's impossible to connect it says try again or register later.
I have an Adobe ID account where I have already registered this product and the serial number.
I have also done the update of this product.
Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My computer operating system is windows.
When I open the Adobe premier software a new window open saying :
"Connexion required
You should connect with your Adobe ID to activate this software. Type your Adobe ID to register the product.
Then a new window says :
You will be connected with Adobe ID XXXXX
I click to connect then a new window says :
Validation of the serial number
Connect to internet to validate your serial number
Connect later/ Validate
When I click on validate it searches then nothing happens. I can use the software at the moment when typing try Later .So I'm afraid that in 7 days I could not use the software anymore.
I must say that the product is registered on the Adobe ID system but it seems there is no connection between this service ie Adobe ID and the software .

Unable to connect and register ECC from NW Gateway 2.0

Hi everyone,
After installing SAP NetWeaver 7.4 I am having a few issues connecting it all up to my ECC system. The problem i have is in SEGW under Service Maintenance. I can see the ECC server i have created but i am unable to Register or Maintain. The error log is showing up with no entries.
Below is the error i get when i try and Register the entry (ECC server (I'm assuming its grabbing that info from the Gateway settings))
All components are running on the NW7.4 and i'm making RFC calls to the ECC server.
System Alias settings:
Local GW is ticked
RFC connection is specified (<SID>CLNT400) of the ECC backend system i'm trying to connect to
Software Version = Default
System ID = blank
Client = blank
WS Provider System = blank
Gateway Settings
Destination System = hostname of ECC server (both instances NW7.4 and ECC reside on the same physical box)
Client = 400
System Alias = as per "System Alias" settings setup above
RFC Destination = <SID>CLNT400 - RFC connection to ECC backend system
RFC Connection <SID>CLNT400 settings
Target host is specified
Instance # is specified
Current user is ticked
Trust relationship = Yes
From the Gateway server i'm able to go into SM59 -> Select the RFC destination and successfully "Remote Logon"

Thanks for your quick reply. I have checked my logged on user authorizations on both systems (same username exists on both systems). On both the Gateway server and the ECC system i have the auth object S_RFCACL and all Fields have '*'.
I am also able to Remote Logon through SM59 using my userid which i don't believe I would be able to do if it wasn't set correctly.

Registration - No internet connection, but online

after installation of Photoshop elements 12 with generated code (http://www.adobe.com/go/getserial) and starting Photoshop elements, the program ask me to registrate me with my adobe-ID.
I see after a few minutes only the message: no internet connection.
My firewall an so on is inactive!
What can I do to registrate the installation? I have to finish in 4 days

TS3988 My iCloud account says "inable to connect to server" repeatedly. What's wrong?

Upgraded iOS and now can not accept new terms and conditions because every time I try it get this error message. "unable to connect to server" It doesn't matter if I am on wi-fi or not.

This could be a couple different things.
     The device is not authorized to the Apple ID.
         Continue setup for the ID on the device.
There is an account issue
        Is she able to get signed in at

                   and manage the account

         How many devices are registered to that Apple ID?

FaceTime crashing while talking followed by inability to connect after dialling and iTunes, safari and app store not responding. Problem resolved when iPad 2 restored through iTunes in windows pc but reappearing later.

Inability to connect laptop to printer connected to new desktop windows 7-64bit

We cannot connect our officejet 5500 to our laptop since buying a new desktop computer now running Windows 7-64 bit. Although the laptop runs on Windows 7, it previously was able to access the printer. Since upgrading the computer we seem not to be able to connect. Our systems are wireless though the printer plugs directly into the computer. I did do the search for drivers and seems the 5500 office jet has the correct driver. Now what??

The most important part at this point, since they both use Windows 7, is to ensure they are in the same homegroup.
Go to the start menu and search for Network and Sharing Center. Do this on both computers. Open the sharing center and then go to Choose Homegroup and Sharing Options. Do the computers indicate they are part of the same homegroup?
Let me know what happens when you go to the Homegroup options on each screen. It really seems as this is where the core of the issue is as the steps provided have worked with similar scenarios.
The homegroup requirement of Windows 7 can be disabled, but then sharing the computers with each other gets a little more complex as you would be prompted for a username and password each time you tried to access the computer on the network.

SharePoint 2013 - Cannot connect or Register WorkFlow Manager with error "The data or messaging layer is unavailable. Please retry after 300 seconds"

I have SharePoint 2013 farm and installed Workflow Manager 1.0 and configured it and have been runing fine for several months. I upgraded this farm to SP 1 and then started having some issue with publish WF 2013 with task in SPD.
I re-Registered using Register-SPWorkflowService command and that fixed the problem and WorkFlow Manager running again OK. It has been couple of monthle and now I am having the problem again but with a different error on SPD
So doing what I did before, I tried to re-Registered WFM but this time getting the error below
Register-SPWorkflowService : The data or messaging layer is unavailable. Please retry
after 300 seconds.
The only possible resolution that I found is to add the -AllowOAuthHttp in my Register-SPWorkflowService cmdlet but that didnot not resolve the problem. I tried that anyway eventhough we do not allow http.
I did some checking for status and configuration and Get-SBFarmstatus showing all WFM services are running OK
I browsed to the WFM server https://servername:12290 and get the same error

Extreme internet lag and inability to connect to other macs in network..

Hi,
My network is as follows:
Linksys AM300 half-bridge mode to Apple Airport Extreme (latest edition) routing to:
-1 Mac Pro (2008) via ethernet
-1 iMac (2008) via wireless-n
-1 Mac Mini (2003) via wireless
-1 windows xp laptop via wireless
-1 MacBook Air via wireless-n
The distance from Mac Pro to the Airport is relatively far but the signal is good and internet exhibits no lag whatsoever.
The MacBook Air is in the same room as the Mac Pro. Since the distance to the Airport only gives a mediocre internet connection I use my Mac Pro's internet sharing to enable its airport as an access point with WEP encryption then connect my MBA to the Mac Pro.
Until a couple of months ago everything was fine but now I suddenly cannot connect to the screensharing or filesharing services of the Mac Pro and the internet connection has become ridiculously slow. I experience a roughly 20 second lag upon EVERY request to any site (google.com for example) and using the terminal i pinged google which yielded an average ~300ms response.
My browser is a Firefox 3.0.6 btw, this is also the browser on the iMac and Mac Pro.
While the lag is annoying even more so is the fact that I cannot use the MBA to 'remote control' the screen of my Mac Pro. The Mac Pro has not had its settings or software changed between working and not responding.
Connecting to the Mac Pro from the MBA via the regular Finder -> Network dialog shows the Mac Pro but then responds with a basic "Connection Failed" message. The same happens when trying to connect to the Mac Pro from the iMac or Mac Mini. I haven't tried the windows laptop so far.
All other computers in the network (other than the MBA) have 'normal' fast internet speeds and no lag.
The lag is also present when sitting next to the Airport Extreme circumventing the internet sharing of the Mac Pro.
I have no clue what is going on and suggestion and help would be much appreciated.

The first thing to do in this sort of situation is to use Network Utility to ping to/from the server and clients to see if they can reach each other. Network Utility will also tell you what IP address the Mac you are running it on has. If you are using a 192.168.x.x style address range as per your message then they should all be in the same block e.g. 192.168.1.x where x is unique per computer.
The next thing may be to look at your DNS settings. You don't say what services you plan to use on the Mac OS X Server, but if your going to use Network Login Accounts and Network Home Directories then having your Mac OS X Server as the (working) DNS server will be very important. This would involve normally telling the DHCP server to advertise the Mac OS X Server as being your internal DNS Server.

Inability to connect iPhone 5 with ios 7.0.3 to hidden WPA2 network

My iPhone 5, running ios 7.0.3, cannot find the hidden WPA2 network at my office. Other iPhones are able to connect to the network, using the same credentials I was given. Many of the discussion I have read suggest changing the network access from WPA2 to WEP, and from what I can tell that's not a good idea. Being that this network is at my company, I am not able to change any settings on the router. Could anyone please advise me on how to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance.

If your iPhone does not connect to a Wi-Fi network, but other devices can, try these troubleshooting steps first:
Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Restart your iOS device.
Update your device to the latest version of software.

Apple TV & Inability to connect to the Internet

My ATV connected to my macs using Time Capsule which is wire connected to BT ADSL using Netgear modem. After working well for few months suddenly dropped its internet connection. When I try to reconnect, ATV gives the error message " Internet connection fault - your ATV is connected to 'your' network but cannot connect it to the internet"
I have reset the ATV many times as well as restored to factory status but problem is persistent. I have reset my Time Capsule too without relief. This problem started when I attempted to synchronize my iTunes library after purchasing the movie Atonement. Internet connection to my iPod Touch & iMac is working well.Help is greatly appreciated as I am about to cry!

Inability to connect to internet

Yesterday I was unable to get onto the internet using my imac. The powerbook is connecting quite cheerfully via both ethernet and airport network connections. With the imac booted under Techtool edrive I was also able to access the internet.
But I cannot use any browser and Mail is unable to make a connection. The Mail connection doctor reports that mail is able to connect to the internet, and even though the account details are unchanged, the doctor says that they are unable to connect to pop or smtp accounts. Mobile me is also not connecting.
Although I can use the powerbook to connect to the internet I cannot network to the imac, and cannot get the imac to network to the powerbook.
The network diagnostics say that there is a connection, with all options showing a green light, and an 'all is OK' message. I successfully pinged my isp using network utility.
I have reinstalled OS 10.6.3, run onyx, techtool pro, repaired permissions.
I am at a complete loss as to what to do next. Can anyone help me?

Thanks for the suggestions. Another theory also surfaced. An acquaintance and I both had the same problem on the same day! He tracked his down through intego virus barrier inserting an additional firewall, which is what caused his problem. I had independently come to the conclusion that the intego suite was implicated and thought I had removed it all, which was when my problems started. In the meantime I decided to reinstall my system software and used time machine to restore everything, making sure I filtered everything I reinstalled (I discovered that clean up, under my direction, had not removed stuff from launch services).
The only remaining problem is that while the firewire disk shows up on my desktop as a firewire disk, and is recognised as such in system profiler, it does not behave as a firewire disk for migration manager. Using the intego hint I will reinstall it and remove all filters in the hope that fixes the problem.

Inability to connect to ITunes store

I had to restore my Dell computer (Windows XP), installed ITunes but cannot connect to ITunes store. Error message says: "Make sure your network connection is active and try again." Any suggestions?

This worked for me.
The "hosts" file may be blocking the iTunes Store
Find and rename your hosts file to "backup-hosts." Restart the computer to generate a new file. The hosts file is normally found in the following locations:
Windows Vista: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows XP: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2000: C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
I tried several different steps, retesting after each attempt. Finally got it. Thanks to the various posts from others. Rob
