Registration Info

Guys,
I found the FL2.1 registration is a bit troublesome and every
time I hard reset my device, after I reinstall the FL2.1, I need to
do the whole process of registration (open license.txt, copy and
paste the URL, copy and paste the key to Adobe website and fill up
the email and device info). Couldn't imagine I need to do this
thing again and again.
Is there a way to keep the registration info, eg. registry,
file, etc so I can simplify the whole thing.
Any idea where does FL2.1 store the registration info?
Thanks.
Cheers,
Vibranze

Try doing what I do...
After a hard reset, I install the stuff I need, get the
device just exactly
how I like it. That includes completing all the registration
stuff.
Then I do a full backup.
Then if I have to do a hard reset (very rare these days) I
can restore from
the backup. Takes about 5 minutes.
There's always one or two new things I need to install after
a hard reset.
Once my current setup gets so far away from my original
backup, I'll create
a whole new backup and use that instead.

I have an old version Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium. I uninstalled it from my old computer and was trying to install it on my new computer. It copied all the files but I cant open them and it doesn't ask me for my registration info, which I have.  What shall I do to get Adobe up and running?

when you were install your cs3 you should have been prompted for you serial number.  were you?
if not, you probably didn't properly install cs3.  copying/migrating/moving etc is problematic.
if yes, did you see any error messages during installation?
if yes, attach a screenshot of the error message.
if not, check you install logs, Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC

  • Registration Info Can't Be Found

I recently purchased Acrobat Pro and just purchased a new computer. I cannot locate my registration info. Can you help me?

Adobe doesn't know what you don't know. If you bothered to register, your serial number is on your Adobe account. Otherwise to find out your serial at least a shred of proof of purchase and contacting support are your only option, but that usualyl only works if you bought directly from Adobe, not a reseller.

  • Aperture lost all license and registration info

did a update install....and Aperture will not run....lost all it's registration info

    thanks guys....good help...."enter your registration info" !!!!!!
had already updated to 1.5.6 so I figured I was ok on that front.
of course I have my registration info and will enter it....
I was curious why Aperture, of all things, lost it's info...none of my other apps did....and certainly none of the Apple apps should....but even Adobe or other vendors seemed ok....
my question was more curiosity related....why an Apple app and why Aperture????

  • Motion asking for registration info at launch

Over the past few days, when I launch Motion 4, it asks for my registration/serial info as if it was the first time I launched Motion.
Anyone experience this and have a fix?

I'd go to /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Studio/ and remove the Final Cut Studio System ID...
You'll have to enter your serial and registration info, but then it's done. Or at least it's fixed this problem before...

  • Where is Adobe Creative Suite 6 registration info stored on computer?

I'm using Vmware Mirage basically for image management and I need to find out the location that Adobe 6 stores it's registration info. The problem I'm running into is after the initial image is placed on a computer I have to go into Adobe and Sign in with our account to register it otherwise it stops working after 7 days. So once I've done that and a month or two down the road when I push an update to the image for some reason Adobe thinks it has not been registered, so I have to go through and Sign In to Adobe again. So more than likely the file where this registration info is stored is getting overwritten. When I find where this is stored I can I can prevent that file from being overwritten.

  • How can you remove an application' s registration info ?

    Hi all,
I recently bought Nikon Capture NX after trying the 30 day demo version.
The demo worked ok, but the one I bought doesn' t...
    I tried all versions ( 1.0, 1.0.1, 1.1 ) + both English and Dutch versions.
I' ve been talking to Nikon about this and they will send me a new cd.
Hope this will solve my problems, but here is my question:
How can I remove the registration info from the system, because I suspect this could be the problem as the demo worked ok and after registrating the app it all went wrong ? I even upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4 in the process ( after reformatting my HD etc. ) but the problems persist.
I would like to try out the demo once more to see if that works ok, but when I install ( after removing any Nikon- related file on my HD ) it automatically registers the app. , so I can' t try it in demo mode...
I don't want to go through a complete install of my system once more
    Any help is highly appreciated
    Regards,
    Peter

    Hello Klaus and Mike,
After all this trouble and time lost, I reinstalled my system once more - hoping the registration info would be gone as well ...
I didn' t try to install Capture NX yet, since I will receive a new install cd in a couple of days - maybe with a new serial ?
Anyway, this is what Nikon Support sent me this morning ( translated by me, so maybe not entirely to the letter :0) ):
    " Dear Mister Lembrechts,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove the registration completely.
The computer will hold the product key in its memory.
This is why a test- version can only be used for a limited time also.
The Capture NX version we sent you should solve all your problems.
    Nikon Europe Support

Now as you do not need a registration key to use a 30 day demo version of this software, I cannot see why they don' t implement a "unregister" button or something in the preferences for example.
This could prevent the kind of struggle I experienced here.
Well, lets hope this will solve it then...

  • Lost registration info

I have a problem. In a recent move I have lost my FCP original disks (which isn't a huge problem since I have the software backed up) but when I copied all of my software from an old machine to my new MacBook Pro the FCP became unregistered and I can't find the number anywhere. (I usually save a copy of the numbers on my hard disk...don't know why this one is missing).
Question: Is there any place on Apple's site to find all registered software (and hardware for that matter) and the registration (or activation) info?
    Rick

Are you saying that you simply copied the apps from one machine to the other? It's unlikely that you'll get the apps working properly without a clean reinstall anyway.

  • Good Registration Info Declared "Invalid"

After reinstalling Windows XP Professional on my PC, the same computer that Photoshop Elements 5.0+Premiere Elements 3.0 have been installed on since August 2007, I've been able to reinstall - and re-register - Elements 5.0 without any problems. Installation Premiere Elements off the DVD proceeds smoothly, but the program will not open. After the familiar digicam mini-screen appears, I get a message saying: "Registration information invalid. Please reinstall Adobe Premiere Elements." Reinstallation has not solved the problem. What will?

Your suggestions made a lot of sense, Steve, so I did the necessary checks. Didn't help. As for your more ambitious suggestions, Paul, I have a fairly spotless registry after reinstalling windows, reformatting, and patrolling my registry with Uniblue RegistryBooster 2, and wasn't eager to muck around my folders.
But I did find my answer. Apparently reinstallation of Premiere Elements 3.0, unlike Photoshop Elements 5.0, requires that you enter the EXACT same ID info. My name was preset, but because a couple of years had passed since my initial installation, I changed my entries in the COMPANY NAME field to reflect the change in my current clientele as a freelance writer. Changes of this sort, as I said, didn't bother Photoshop Elements 5.0, but they obviously roused the defense system in Premiere Elements 3.0.
Fortunately, I was able to revert by consulting the installation on my laptop and entering the COMPANY data exactly as it's entered there. Hope that's a help to future users who grapple with this problem. Thanks, guys.

  • How do I bypass registration info page to get my G5 ready for resale?

After erasing and re-installing orig. OS X I restarted and am asked to fill out registration page info.  I don't want to do this because I am selling it.  Any way to bypass this screen?  Or any other suggestions on how to prepare computer for resale?

No. You shut it down and leave it that way for the next owner.
Here's a rather extensive set of procedures you might have followed:
Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
Step One - Back up your data:
           A. If you have any Virtual PCs shut them down. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must be shut down from inside Windows.
           B. Clone to an external drive using using Carbon Copy Cloner.
              1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
              2. Select the Source volume from the Select a source drop down menu on the left side.
              3. Select the Destination volume from the Select a destination drop down menu on the right
                  side.
              4. Click on the Clone button. If you are prompted about creating a clone of the Recovery HD be
                  sure to opt for that.
Destination means a freshly erased external backup drive. Source means the internal
                   startup drive.
Step Two - Prepare the machine for the new buyer:
              1. De-authorize the computer in iTunes! De-authorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
2, Remove any Open Firmware passwords or Firmware passwords.
              3. Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
              4. Turn off File Vault, if enabled.
              5. Disable iCloud, if enabled: See What to do with iCloud before selling your computer.
Step Three - Install a fresh OS:
         A. Snow Leopard and earlier versions of OS X
              1. Insert the original OS X install CD/DVD that came with your computer.
              2. Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
              3. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu; repartition and reformat the internal hard drive.
Optionally, click on the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
              4. Install OS X.
              5. Upon completion DO NOT restart the computer.
              6. Shutdown the computer.
         B. Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*)
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because
it is three times faster than wireless.
              1. Restart the computer while holding down the COMMAND and R keys until the Mac OS X
                  Utilities window appears.
              2. Select Disk Utility from the Mac OS X Utilities window and click on the Continue button.
              3. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click
on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
              4. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on the Security button
and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
              5. Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
              6. Quit DU and return to the Mac OS X Utilities window.
              7. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
              8. Upon completion shutdown the computer.
*If your computer came with Lion or Mountain Lion pre-installed then you are entitled to transfer your license once. If you purchased Lion or Mountain Lion from the App Store then you cannot transfer your license to another party. In the case of the latter you should install the original version of OS X that came with your computer. You need to repartition the hard drive as well as reformat it; this will assure that the Recovery HD partition is removed. See Step Three above. You may verify these requirements by reviewing your OS X Software License.

  • Wrong registration info for iPhone

I registered my iPhone 4S through iTunes and submitted it before realizing that I accidentally put the wrong area code for the iPhone number entry.  When I log into my Apple ID profile and look at the "Support Profile" account info, everything is fine.  How can I correct the information that was submitted for the registration since the profile information is correct?

  • My registration info is in Chinese in iTunes. How do I get it back to English?

When registering my iPad my iTunes screen went from English to Chinese. Not sure how I managed that. How do I get it back to English?

Thank you. I was having the same problem (registration was in English and then the Chinese screen appeared). Reseting the iPad solved this problem for me.
I unplugged the iPad from the computer and then held down the menu and wake button at the same time until the unit reset (the screen goes black and then the white apple logo reappears). I plugged the iPad back into the computer and the screen was in English.
If anyone is curious about the screen before I reset here is what it said:

  • Unable to find OEM registration infos in preferences wizard

I'd like to register OEM configuration informations in OWB (9.2.0.2.8) running on Solaris 2.8 and 9.2.0.3 Database.
I have no tab dedicated to OEM registration in my preferences wizard...how to fix it ?
+ is there any way to export job scheduling and tasks informations
    THANKS A LOT FOR HELP

    Pierre,
In 9.2 we do not have a similar registration like we used to have in 9.0.3 and earlier. There is a script oem_exec_template.sql that you should use to register a job in OEM. Please check the viewlet http://otn.oracle.com/products/warehouse/htdocs/oem_scheduling_viewlet_swf.html to see how to do that.
    Thanks,
    Mark.
