Registration is American!

I want to register my new iPod, and each time I connect it it asks me to do it. The registration page is always set for Americans though, and it won't except my details as my phone number/post code etc don't have the right number of charectors!? How can I change to English, or get around it some other way?
I have the newest iTunes installed!

I certainly sympathize with the problems. I believe that international software distribution licensing depends a lot upon the quirks of dealing with third parties in countries where, everything from business customs and local laws to financial resources and product availability all conspire to work against the consumer.
I don't claim to know anything about real-world software product distribution. But just thinking about it for a moment, one solution for many end users might be -- if it were possible to overhaul the entire distribution scheme -- for local distributors to have exclusive distribution only for local mail order or in-store placement of physical product, along with product support for just what they sell; but that downloads and international mail order could still be easily, economically and/or legally obtained from the same distribution streams as are readily available to Americans, with support through these forums or with contact with Adobe USA. It might also prompt the local distributors to take a more aggressive marketing, sales and support track to the benefit of their local customer base. On the other hand, such a scheme might backfire, and the local distributors might simply give up the market rather than compete. I'm sure that there are many factors that I've overlooked...
But at least the non-USA located end user would have the comfort level of knowing that he doesn't have to wait weeks or months for products. Or pay some hefty premiums to obtain the software.

Missing account description

Hello everyone,
I have a question in regards to FDM & ERPi.
I try to have the account description loaded into FDM, we lost it since we use ERPI, before we used trial balance in flat file and the source account description appeared in FDM.
In my original Import FORMAT EBS in ERPI, we mix NATURE & ICP in the SOURCE FM ACCOUNT, I was thought that was the problem for the empty account description.
I created another import format in ERPI EBS_FDQM_HFM , I tried to import in FDM, same problem the account description is empty.
Do you know why I cannot retrieve the account description from EBS by ERPI ?

Can you change the language of your target application registration to "AMERICAN" and then see if it pulls in the descriptions.

Passbook sync with American Express Card

I'm having a problem getting an American Express pass for Passbook because their system is saying I have too many iOS devices synced up already. Apparently they limit the number of devices that are allowed to share a pass for one specific AmEx account. I called their customer service line and I was told that they have cleared my account and that I need to contact Apple to have them clear my iCloud account of any AmEx registrations.
The problem is that there is no way to contact Apple without having a device that still has free support or AppleCare, neither of which is the case for me. Any ideas on how to get past the requirement of paying for telephone service when it's an iCloud issue that obviously shouldn't have support cease after a certain amount of time? Thanks!

Apple Care Registration and My Country

Hello All,
I have encountered a problem while attempting to register for my Apple Care Protection Plan. After signing on to my Apple ID, I must write out my Address, Province, Postal Code and Registration Numbers. However, it states that I am in the United States. However, I am not. Therefore, my Postal Code will not work, for it expects an American "Zip" Code" instead. At first I thought that I might have registered my Apple ID incorrectly in the first place. But, I checked my Apple ID and it states that I am in Canada.

I'm having exactly the same problem. If I have to type all my details in again, i'll scream!!
I reported this to apple via their feedback form and was told to make sure I had registered the macbook pro and this should swap the country over to mine (UK).
However, it hasn't. The e-mail says ring your local support office.

Does American Express require any extra coding to work in BC?

last week, we took our client online with their shop and have experienced our first issue with the Registration Buy form. The client received a call from a customer that our form would not take American Express as a card. I checked the form and yes, Amex is listed as a card option. (I did not change that). I did not change the script at the bottom of the page either. The client is using Authorize.net (US only) as the gateway.
Any thoughts? Anybody? Beuller?

In the interim, we were informed that the site rejected a VISA as well, the client was able to provide an error message and we have narrowed it down to an Authorize.net issue. My boss has submitted a case to BC, but I think he will get the same answer I gave him (and that you have confirmed). Just in case, here is a screen cap of the error message.
I have the client checking their information and looking into an issue I discovered on another site. Here is the gist of it from Authorize.net:
The confusion has to do with the two options, Transaction Server (Live or Test) and Transaction Mode (Live or Test).
From the Authorize.net developer site:

Partner Application Registration

When using the Administer Partner Applications page, it appears the application is not being registered completely. The information does not appear in the WWSEC_ENABLER_CONFIG_INFO$ table, as has been suggested in prior posts (everything is fine in WWSSO_PAPP_CONFIGURATION_INFO$).
I am attempting to deploy the SSO SDK demo PL/SQL application, which works fine when logged into Portal. However, when not logged into Portal, I receive the following errors:
"Error in application: missing application registration information
Please register this application as described in installation guide"
This error is driven by the PL/SQL exception:
"wwsec_sso_enabler_private.enabler_config_not_found"
What am I missing? I have created several Partner applications, and none of them appear in the WWSEC_ENABLER_CONFIG_INFO$ table. I have sucessfully loaded the SSOHash into my partner schemas.

Thanks for the info; however, I'm still unable to get the SSO SDK sample, or any partner app, to work.
I have read the docs, what little there is, and followed the steps closely. Everything executes ok.
I have several questions:
1. When executing the REGAPP.SQL script that comes with the SDK, it indicates to login as the partner schema. I have noticed when running this script, the entry is stored in the partner schema table WWSEC_ENABLER_CONFIG_INFO$, not the one owned by Portal. Is this correct?
2. My partner app is really a PL/SQL Server Page (PSP) application which uses the same server as Portal. When entering the Listener Token name, I have been using the same server name as Portal. Is this a problem? What is this token used for? Must it be unique for each partner application?
3. In your response you mentioned changes to the REGAPP script. I found no mention of any changes in the docs with SSO SDK. Am I missing something?
Finally, is there any better documentation for the SDK and/or partner application configuration. The readme and install files do not, in my opinion, pass as documentation.

Jabber 9.1 Registration To CUCM 8.6.2

Good evening,
I have a problem I am hoping someone can answer for me. I have a CUCM/ Unity Connection/ CUP platform which are all 8.6x
I have configured all the components and I am currently trying to get Jabber to work, I have 1 user who has 2 clients he wants to use. One client is is home Mac and the other his work Windows based laptop.
Jabber 8.6.4 on the Mac works 100% the client can call, access voicemail and use IM with no issues. The same user when he tries to login with his Windows based client gets IM and authenticates to Unity Connection OK but the client does not register with CUCM and therefore he cannot dial out and so all telephony functionality is unavailable. The options in the windows client only show Phone accounts for the voicemail server which all look OK.
It looks to me that the windows client is not getting the correct paramters from the jabber-xml file (infact I cant find one in the tftp server which is CUCM) or maybe I need to have 2 softphones detailed in CUCM, i.e one for each client (MAC & PC). I have all the CCMCIP and trunking etc working fine, along with the relevant AXL, LDAP and CTI users set up ok.
Anyone have an idea of where I may be going wrong ?

I have tried your suggestion but while the symptoms are slightly different I am still not able to get the Windows client to register with CUCM.
If I disable the softphone on the mac client then exit Jabber on the mac, then I open the Windows client initially the results are exactly the same. However if I then sign out of the windows client and back in I get the option on the bottom right of the client to choose the softphone source (i.e computer or deskphone) but then no matter which one I choose the client sits at the setting phone prompt and still does not register.
I guess one option for me may be to run a WIndows client on the home Mac using VMware fusion and use the same client, hopefully then the graceful softphone registration may work between devices running the same client?

How do I add multiple tickets under the same confirmation number from the American Airlines app to Passbook?

I have a confirmation number from American Airlines for a flight with my family all under my name and for some reason I cannot add all of our tickets to Passbook. To clarify, I went to the American Airlines app and put in the confirmation number along with my name which pulled up my boarding pass only. Although I was able to add this boarding pass to Passbook, I was not able to add any of the other boarding passes for my children to Passbook that should have also been under the flight reservation. In fact I couldn't even see them in the American Airlines app. I tried to use their names and the same confirmation number but nothing happened, and nothing else seems to be working. How can I add all of these boarding passes to my Passbook?

I started doing this before unlimited data and emails on phones was a common commodity, on my Samsung Blackjack.
I then continued it due to its convenience. My only counter argument is this:
Even when emails are set to immediately push, I am always notified earlier by this forwarding message (sometimes by several minutes/hours due to the fact that it is not dependent on my being connected to 4G or wifi to receive it.
Also, to contradict snozdop's point that both methods use data and battery, I say this - when I use the forwarding method, the information comes in a pure text format and therefore uses considerably less information than an HTML and CSS rich email, with embedded images and such -also, unlimited text messages aids curve costs.
I will, however, give this method a go. In any case, a solution to my original question would still be greatly appreciated.

Apple menu / System Preferences / Keyboard / Input sources.
Click + (bottom left) and in the pane that comes up, select Danish on the left, and click Add.
Of course that can only change what the keys actually input, not what is written on the keys. If you wish to change the physical look of the keys as well, get in touch with Apple and ask if they can replace the keyboard.

How to get week of a year in American Standard

I know it might be a repetitive question, but did not find a convincing solution to it in any of the previous threads. I am looking for a function (user defined, if someone has already written it) to return me the week of the year, in American Standard. i.e,the week should start on Sunday and end on Saturday (and NOT from Monday to Sunday)
01/03/2010 - Should be the start of 1st week of 2010...... 01/10/2010 will be the start of second week and so on
01/04/2009 - Should be the start of 1st week of 2009...... 01/11/2009 will be the start of second week and so on.
Does any one have a function that takes a date as input and returns back the week of the year in this above format? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's a bit trickier because the ISO rule has some fine prints.

SQL> If may notice that 02/01/2010 is week 53 and and that at the same time 03/01/2009 is already week 1, being 04/01/2009 week 2.
The reason is in the docs:
An ISO week always starts on a Monday and ends on a Sunday.
* If January 1 falls on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, then the ISO week that includes January 1 is the last week of the previous year, because most of the days in the week belong to the previous year.
* If January 1 falls on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, then the ISO week is the first week of the new year, because most of the days in the week belong to the new year.It depends on what your requirement asks.
If you need to prevent any January 1st that fall on Monday to Thursday from becoming your week 1 you'd probably have to adjust that implementation and fine tune it further.

I wrongly changed the settings on the apps page to the American store. Now I cannot download any updates because I am locked out and need to revert back to the Canadian store, how do I do that

Try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select Canada.

Registration is American!
