Registration Key didn't come

First off, I'm a bit irritated. I like Apple and all that stuff, but this is frustrating.
I recently bought a QT Pro key. Shortly thereafter I received a confirmation email stating:
+You will need to enter your registration code into the QuickTime Player application to unlock the Pro features.+
+Product: QT 7 PRO MAC ACCESS KEY-INT+
+Registered to: (My Name)+
+Mac version:+
+To get started, enter your name and registration code exactly as they appear above into the Register pane of the QuickTime Preferences dialog box.+
The key doesn't show up in the email. (I'm using Mail.app in 10.5.2.) I viewed the raw source and the key doesn't show up in neither the plain text version nor the HTML version.
So I logged into my account online to see if it showed there. It doesn't.
Then I used the chat feature in the store to ask about it. I was told to call the Apple Store. Next I called and was told to log into my account online and it should be there, if not go to apple.com/support/quicktime and there would be instructions there. I tell him it doesn't show up on my account online so he says again to go to /support/quicktime. Well, the instructions there say to log into my account online and get the key from there. Not helpful as it's not there.
How do I get my QT Pro key?
Thanks.

Per Knowledge Base Article http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58453 QuickTime Pro Key: Retrieving a lost key it states in part:
+"If you purchased a QuickTime Pro key after 13 April 2001, *contact the _customer service number_ of The Apple Store.* This number is available at the bottom of The Apple Store Web page for each region."+
+"Apple Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775, Mon-Fri 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., or Sat-Sun 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Pacific time. Please have your Order Number available."+
Was that the number you called?
If all else fails, call Apple Customer Relations at 800-767-2775 and telling them exactly what you have said here.

Is it possible to retrieve a registration key for a hard copy of iWork 06? Moved and cannot locate disc, and replaced the computer it was originally installed on. When I transferred the iWork from original Macbook Pro to new Macbook Pro, the reg key apparently didn't transfer. Any ideas?

Do you still have access to the old MacBook Pro? If so, you can transfer the license by copying the com.apple.iwork.plist from Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences to the same location on the new Mac. Note that this IS the main HD Library, not your user library. I have found that these files are not moved during setup or migration.
Are you really running Tiger 10.4.7? If so, you should update to 10.4.11. You can find the updater here. You also might consider buying the retail disk of iWork '09 from a third-party such as Amazon.com or eBay. It will add a lot of features for you. iWork '09 does require Tiger 10.4.11 at a minimum.

  • How many registration keys come with the new Final Cut Studio

Hi I'm thinking of buying the new final cut studio and am trying to find out how many registration keys come with the box. I have 2 others in the family that would use it on their comps as well, and my friend had gotten the previous version of final cut studio 2 (final cut pro 6) and said it came with 3 keys inside, which would be great for me. So I'm just making sure that's true. Thanks.
Also you can bring final cut pro 6 files from another computer onto a computer with final cut pro 7 and still work on them right?

    Hello Gibbs,
    Welcome to the forum.
    Re: your question.
Your friend is a pathological lier (or delusional - sometimes it's hard to tell the difference).
FCP is licensed for one laptop and one desktop as long as:
    1. Both machines are owned by YOU (your inlaws don't count as you)
    and
    2. They are not used at the same time.
If your family wants FCS, time for them to purchase their own copies. (Apple has dropped the price so low that even Junior High School students can afford their own copies now.)
Yes, FCP6 files will open without issue on FCP7. The reverse is not true.
    Have fun.

If it originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.6.8 or earlier, click here, phone Apple, and order a replacement.
If it originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.7 or newer, restart it with the Option, Command, and R keys held down.

  • Lost registration key

I have recently wiped my hard drive, and just went to reinstall final cut studio when I realized I lost the tiny piece of paper with the registration key on it. This is a student version, and I was wondering if I had all my upgrade coupons if it was possible to recover a lost key, or if I am SOL?
Also, if someone could clarify for me where the key is located, maybe I am over looking it? I really need to find it though, since I need to finish a project in a hurry.

After searching the forums a few more times I finally found where the key is, and that I've been looking in the wrong place.
I'm going to need to contact apple however since I have no clue where the **** the install book is
Why not just put it on the giant books that come with FCS, or at least the inside of the box...gah wish me luck.

  • I bought a used MacBook Pro and didn't come with an install disc.

I recently purchased a used MacBook Pro, it is the 2006 15.4inch, with 1.83GHz Intel core duo processor. It didn't come with RAM, a charger or the instal disc and the battery was dead. I installed RAM, bought a battery and charger and it booted up no problem, but I can't get past the login because I don't know the previous owners password. How do I get passed this point so? What OSX do I buy?

In the mean time try this: Run Mac Setup Assistant -
Restart the machine with the Command and S keys held down, and type the following commands into the prompt in order:
    mount -uw /
    mv /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb.old
    mv /var/db/.AppleSetupDone /var/db/.AppleSetupDone.old
    usr/libexec/create_nidb
    shutdown -h now
The Setup Assistant will reappear the next time your computer is turned on. Be sure to enter the commands properly. You will be able to setup your user name password, etc. You can then delete the previous owners User.

  • Can I add a sub woofer to my dv7-1245dx if it didn't come with one

I know this laptop is old, about 5-6 years old or so. I have blown one of the speakers in it, and am going to replace it, even though they sound horrible when working, it's better than 1 crackling while you try to watch a movie or something. Since I have to rip the laptop apart for this and another reason, I looked up the woofer that I know was an option for the dv7's, and I have found some I can buy. I am wondering though, since mine didn't come with one, is it just a matter of adding the woofer, or maybe there is no connection to hook it up? Doesn't make much sense to buy one if there is no connector to hook it up to. I know I have room for it, there is a round plastic spacer/cup thing on the bottom of the laptop where the speaker should be pointing out, I just don't know (yet) if there will be a connection for it on my motherboard.

  • How to enter QuickTime Pro registration key in Windows 7?

I purchased a registration key for QuickTime Pro, but I'm not sure where to enter it on my Windows 7 machine. I have found these directions:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/pro/unlock-win7.html
But that's for another version of Windows (XP? Vista?). Windows 7 Control Panel doesn't look like that, and I'm not sure where I can access the QuickTime 7 Control Panel to enter the registration key. Any advice?

    You're welcome.
Wish Apple would update their website to include these instructions for Windows 7 users...
It is possible to report issues like that directly to Apple. (The challenge with that, though, is first finding the feedback forms ...)
In this instance, probably the best ones to use might be the Support feedback form:
    http://www.apple.com/support/feedback/
... or the overall Apple.com feedback form:
    http://www.apple.com/contact/feedback.html

  • Registration key not emailed

I am a student at a local community college taking an Oracle9i class. I have the software that came with my books. Instructions led me to register with the Oracle Technology Network (OTN). I am supposed to receive an email with the registration key that will allow me to load the software. I have been waiting about 5 hours.
That seems like a very long time, and I wonder if there is a problem. I have made many phone calls and no one knows what to tell me : -(

The registration program in question is probably defunct. However, you can download and install Oracle Database 10g:

    or Oracle9i Database:

...right now, with no registration key required.

  • Registration key in installer

I have built the installer for my Javafx application using the documentation. In the installer, I have also specified license where the user needs to confirm. And it works well.
What I need to do now is that: There is a registration key for the application, which the user needs to put manually. How do I do that? Only if he successfully enters the key, should he be able to install it.

I solved it by using Inno.
Build the installer with verbose="true" in build.xml. For example on my computer, it looks like:
    <fx:deploy width="${javafx.run.width}" height="${javafx.run.height}"
    nativeBundles="all" verbose="true"
    outdir="${basedir}/${dist.dir}" outfile="Pina">
On running it, it will generate some temporary files. On my computer, it can be seen at: C:\Users\Jatin\AppData\Local\Temp\build6069397957260201875.fxbundler\windows
Copy the Pina.iss file and place it in "MyProject/package/windows" folder. Make "package" and "windows" folder if they dont exist.
The below is my code contents of the Pina.iss file:

  • Registration Key required for trial 10g

I wanted to install the 10g and self-study guide that Oracle sent me in the mail. The install requires a registration key, made available at oracle.com.
After filling in all the forms required to register, I wind up at a "Survey Error", and of course no key.
I then spent 20 minutes in many different automated attendant menus, trying to figure out how to get a human to help me. After being told frequently how important my call was, and how menus had been changed to "expedite" my call, I reached Wendy - twice, in fact. She told me to wait to be transferred, then press six.
This took me to a voice mail box, with a promise that someone from sales would return my call.
At this point I gave up, and composed this little message. I am not impressed.
