I cant seem to register my ipod through itunes and cant get rid of the screen for registration but have registered the product online. Does anyone know how to get rid of the registration screen?

You don't have to re-register an iPod in order to buy songs from the iTunes store. All you need is to set up an iTunes account.

If you simply want to rename the iPod, connect your iPod to the computer. Once it shows up in the source list of iTunes (the window on the left where you see "library", "playlists", "podcasts" etc), double click on it and this will highlight it and you can then type a name for it.

if i register my ipod and maybe in time would like to sell it how can i transfer registration. ive been all over apples site and cant find the answer. thanks in advance.

Registration of ipod nano

I can't complete my registration because the message "You did not complete the entire form. Please enter your state." keeps popping up, although I already chose NSW as my state from the drop down menu.

We're running it on a Power Mac G5 with OSX 10.5.8 installed, with the iPod connected through an USB 2.0 portal in the monitor
If your Mac is not an iMac, use the USB port directly connected to the Mac.
You can disconnect the ipod and connect it again. If it is not recognized, connect in recovery mode, shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Make sure your computer has the latest updates, iTunes included.

Transfer registration of iPod mini to new owner...

Hi there-
I just sold my precious blue iPod mini on eBay so I can upgrade to one of the new video iPod video players. When I sold the unit on eBay, I indicated that I would transfer the registration to the new owner.
I said it, but I don't know how to do it. Do they just register the unit and then Apple will send me a confirmation e-mail that someone else is attempting to register the unit?

Registration of Ipod shuffle on wrong computer

hello I wonder if anyone can help please?
I have registered my nieces ipod shuffle 4th gen on my macbook pro but she wants to register it on her own laptop. How do I fix this please and also how do I take all the itunes off it so it is empty again. My Itunes have all synced to her shuffle.

Have your niece restore the iPod on her own laptop. This will wipe all content from the iPod and set it back to its original default settings.

First, if the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. When connected, the iPod appears in the sidebar, under DEVICES.
Click on the iPod there, to select it. Click on the iPod's name a second time. It become editables. Enter the new name and press Return on the keyboard.
NOTE: iPods (that are not iPod touch) are not directly linked to your Apple ID ("Apple account"). They are associated with your iTunes library on your computer.

A sign is blocking me from managing my iPod

I have recently registred my iPod at iTunes store. But when I connect my iPod to my computer a sign that shows how I register to iTunes store pops up. I can choose between go on, later or never register. But no matter what I click, nothing happens! And the sign wont go away! I can't manage my iPod, delete or put in new playlists.

To reboot the ipad, press the home and power buttons together and keep pressing until the device shuts down.
Then power up again.
By "iPad is plugged in" they mean to do a backup you must have it plugged into a power source - but that's not true, if the device has enough battery power remaining.

Register iPod on another PC

I have read the multiple userID and how to share music answers on this site. My question is on initial registration of iPOD. Have been unable to configure my own machine but have access to XP comnputer with itunes fuctional. If I register my iPOD from this machine will it then be able to be used on my own when we get it working?

Yes, you can register your iPod on any computer you wish, however, if you load songs from one computer, the next time you connect your iPod to another computer, it will replace your data with the data on the new computer.

Stuck on the 'Registration' page on iTunes when I try to update my iPod

I started a topic before but it got archived so I'm trying again, hope thats ok.
Ever since I've had my iPod, every time i plug it into my laptop to either update, delete songs etc I've been able to skip past the registration section but a good few months ago it decided to not let me skip the page so after many frustrating attempts I decided to just register it, I did so on iTunes and received emails from Apple to say its registered. So i thought it would be fine but it still does the same thing,
I get the options of: Never Register, Register Later and Continue but no matter what i select it either doesn't let me move past the page or just sends me back filling out the same registration form which still doesn’t disappear when I’ve entered all my details.
I thought if i left it for a while it might change but I’ve tried again this evening and its still the same!

I'm hoping someone somewhere may know what to do? I know previously someone suggested adjusting the screen resolution but its nothing related to that.

I never registered it until it got completley stuck on this page earlier this year, before i just clicked register later i think and then when it wouldnt let me do anything but that registration page i decided to go through all the various things to register it. So it is acutally registered now (i did that back in May) but nothing has changed since.
If i click continue it shows me all the details i entered in May but still does not let me progress to see/edit my music...

Full restore of Time Machine loses soft registration, ipod othr software

I have had to take my IMAC into Frys 3 times for same issue. They always issue a loner, I restore time machine and all software that has registration has to be re-entered. Some of my software requires reauth through a long process with software vendor. Is their a way to restore everything, not impressed with time machine. My ipod had to be reformated last time as well, it did not restore it either.

how did you restore with time machine? did you use migration assistant? If you do a full system restore then all registration info is restored along with everything else. to do that boot from the leopard install DVD and select "restore system from backup" from the Utilities menu at the top.

Ipod Touch Registration

Ok, so I just got my ipod touch today. No problem with the initial steps.
I then go to the apple product registration page and register the product there (register.apple.com). It said that it would send me an email for confirmation after I had completed all the steps (haven't received this yet).
When I try to register it to the ASP though, it displays this message:
According to our records, this serial number is registered to another Apple ID. If you have more than one Apple ID, log in to My Support Profile with that Apple ID to see your other registered products. Not sure if you have another Apple ID?
I don't understand. The product isn't showing up on my ASP yet and I don't have any other apple ID. What could possibly be the case here and has anyone else encountered the same situation?

I have seral kids...upgrading iPods for older kids and want to hand down iPod's to the younger kids. How do I change the ownership/registration of an iPod from one kid's name to another?

Each Kid has their own play list under their name/iPod. If I give Jane's iPod to Jimmy and Jimmy connects to iTunes, iTunes recognizes the iPod as Jane's and sync's her play list. I know I could change Jane's old iPod to sync to Jimmy's play list...but iTunes still knows the old iPod as Jane. Jane now has a new iPod. When she connects to iTunes it will recognize it as Jane's...but I have changed Jane's old iPod to sync to Jimmy's play list. Janes' new iPod will sync to Jimmy's play list. wow...
I would like to have iTunes recognize the old iPod as now Jimmy's. How do I do that?
