I'm trying to register with oracle to get a registration key so i can install the software, but i keep getting this page

When and where did you get the book. Which book is it? Which software did they promise you?
In general, all Oracle software can be downloaded freely from http://otn.oracle.com without some promo key.

Error Registring OC(Oracle Clinical) Database with TMS(Thesaurus)Database

Hi,
We have installed Oracle Clinical 4.5.2 on Windows platform and also Oracle TMS 4.5.2. However while doing the final step: The TMS Database Registration we get the following error in the installation log file:
ORA-20000: 822200-Oracle Clinical and TMS are not installed in this database.
Not sure how to resolve this.
When we try to launch the standalone TMS, we are able to do so. However two databases (OC and TMS) are not in sync.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think that TMS should be in the same Oracle home. Architecturally, TMS does install in the same database instance as OC. OPA 4.5 is destined to change that, offering a stand alone TMS instance that integrates with specific instances of OC, RDC, AERS, etc. More details of that <fun> migration whenever 4.5 is officially released.

Oracle 8.1.7 client installer won't work under windows 2000

I am trying to run the latest oracle client install of 8.1.7 on my windows 2000 PC and when I double click on it, it show the hour glass for a few seconds, then nothing happens. No screens come up at all. I have a Dell PC with an ATI rage 16 MB ultra card and I have dowlnloaded the latest jre 1.1.8 and nothing helps. If I try another kind of PC like my ibm, the installer works fine. Dell has no answers??

I found the solution on another discussion group and it worked for WinNT4 SP6a:
First copy your CD content to your hard disk (by example c:\temp), then rename file "symcjit.dll" (by example "symcjit.old") in directory "c:\temp\Stage\Components\Oracle.swd.jre\1.1.7.30\1\DataFiles\Expanded\jre\win32\bin".
Finally, run Setup.exe in directory "c:\temp\Install\Win32".

Help! bulk license photoshop 7.0 with Cs3 upgrade won't work when reinstalling - Adobe support can't help

I've installed/reinstalled CS3 (upgrade over Photoshop7) a few times since 2007 when I've upgraded my pc - from the first install I had to contact their Aussie 1800 number because the Photoshop disk was a bulk license version and it didn't like the key when CS3 did an upgrade check. Spent over an hour today on a chat with Adobe and they will no longer help me as they aren't trained on PS 7 or CS3. ANY HELP would be appreciated

If your products are registered with Adobe, they can unlock CS3. It's called a "challenge code".
Apparently, Adobe has a challenge code system. So, if you have the old serial number from the upgrade and you call customer support. Customer support has a challenge code procedure where they give you a code that overrides the problem. Unfortunately, it took me 5 calls to customer support before I found someone who knew how to do it. The key term is "Challenge Code"

Using Mail with CaCert certificate won't work

Hello everybody!
I have a problem, I can't resolve right now. I have a CaCert.org certificate for my emails. I importetd it to my keyring, where it shows up and is marked as trusted. So no problem till this point.
Now, when I start Mail and want to write a new mail, I don't get the buttons to sign or to encrypt emails.

Huh. Sascha, with apologies, I think this is a case of wanting to answer the question I wanted to ask, not the question you actually asked.
For signing and encrypting, you need to have imported your personal certificate, and its corresponding private key, into your keychain. If you have done so, it will show up, in the Keychain app under My Certificates and you should be able to verify it as being correctly trusted (by you). This should be in the login keychain.
Once this is confirmed, you should be able to verify that, when writing a new email, the encrypt and sign buttons appear towards the right of the composition window, right above the composition text:
This all happens automatically, provided the "From" address for this account is the same as that recorded in your certificate. This is another point you should double-check.
Finally, note that you can encrypt only to recipients for whom you have a trusted certificate, as recorded in the "Certificates" section of your login keychain.
Now, I would assume there is a problem with the first part: there being your certificate and private key in the keychain, with the appropriate trust. If you can indicate what seems to be mismatched, we can continue the conversation to help drive a resolution.

Clipping mask with white brush won't work

Hi, im using photoshop cs6 on a mac and when I do a clipping mask and click and try to use a white brush to show more of the mask it doesn't work, however when I use the black brush it does work

Clipping masks are a little different from, say, vector masks. They simply take into account the content in the base layer they're clipped to, whether they're black, white or any other color.
To reveal with white, you'd have to insert a vector mask on the base layer and work from there.
ON EDIT: This assumes you have more content in the base layer to work with, so scratch that. You're probably better off just using a vector mask and concealing/revealing that way.

768kbps with 160kbps audio won't work

I have used Videora to convert all my videos to H.264 with 768kbps and 160kbps audio. The videos will not transfer to my iPod with iTunes. Why is this? It clearly states here on Apple's website that the ipod supports up to 768kbps with 160kbps AAC when using H.264. I did exactly what they said i could do and it will not transfer to my iPod.

I had similar problems with the 768 pre-configured setting in Videora - in fact that setting converted at close to 900 kbps, and half my videos would not load onto the iPod, unless I did a forced hack, which is cumbersome.
The pre-configured setting that seems to work at close to 768 kbps is <<H264/320x240/640kbps Stereo/128kbps>>. Just change the 128 kbps to 160 if you choose to and save it by clicking 'Apply' in the lower right hand corner. It seems to work most of the time for me.

Reply with message function won't work on iPhone 4S

I have upgraded to ios6 on my 4S and I cannot get the reply with message function to work. I can see it in the settings and can change the default messages but when I get a call the only option that I get is answer or deny (no phone icon to the right of deny to swipe up to use the reply with mussage option). I have done multiple resets even back to as it came out of the box and it still doesn't show up. My wife is also expereincing the same issues on here iPhone 4 and I have contacted my service provider and they indicated that it should work on both phones.

Sometimes, in a givin market, FaceTime is not available.

Problem With iMovie, it won't work

I've been having some issues with iMovie in the past days. I was working on a project with a template and at some moment Text and other stuff desapeared. The menu works but I can't continue with the movie now because of this problem.

How can i downlad skype on the new macbook pro with lion, it won't work

i tried downloading skype but it will only open a locked text edit window and not an installation for skype. what could be the issue? has anybody found a solution to this?

My mom's iPhone 4 with ios 6 won't work and won't backup

My mom's iPhone is starting to take a **** on her. Everything is super super SUPER slow! Her texts won't go through and sometimes don't even send at all and just disappear. She tried updating it using her wifi at her work and it got to the VERY end and then told her she didn't have enough storage. So I went on her itunes later that night and tried to backup her phone so she wouldn't lose anything cause I heard the new ios7 erases pictures and contacts. It took 2 hours and the phone never backed up. It just acted like it was and never actually did anything. It never even finished 'backing up'. HELP! Mom is getting super frustrated and so am I!

Try backing up to iCloud instead: Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Back Up Now.

Blu-ray menu button made with dynamic link won't work on Blu-ray disc

Ok. So I used dynmamic link to my encore project and I also imported an mpg.4 as an asset for a separate menu button. I have two buttons on linked to the premire pro project and one linked to the mpg.4. Everything works fine in preview and the flow chart is fine everything is going where its supposed to go.
When I play the blu-ray disc the menu shows, the video thumbnails show...but when I hit the menu button that is supposed to play the premier pro video it does not work. But when I hit the menu button for the mpeg.4 video it does work.
Can anyone tell me what is going on?

IPhone buttons with website hyperlinks won't work

Hi, I have done a few dps projects for iPad and Android tablets but am starting a new project for iPhone users.
The way I have set up buttons to link to websites before does not seem to be working. I can see the button but it doesnt do anything... I have tested the same file on the ipad and it works fine.
I know I am probably being stupid but does anyone have any hints?

I usually just create a button under buttons and forms.
Put in in a 'go to URL 'action on release or tap.
and put in the url.
This works on adobe viewer on the iPAD and desktop but wont work on my iphone's adobe viewer.
