Registration 'Pop-up'

Even though I purchased Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional a few years ago and registered it as required, I have recently started getting the Registration Pop-up screen appearing EVERY time I look at a PDF document. Even if I register again, it still keeps coming up.
I have emailed Adobe suppport, about a week ago and I haven't received any acknowledgment of my issue.
How do I stop this 'Pop up' appearing everytime please?
Many thanks

I have exactly the same issue - every now and again I am told I have to sign in to use PS CC.
I also get frequent requests to complete my registration - I put my email / password into the web page and ...nowt!  The equivalent of an egg timer allthe time.  If I open another tab in FF, I am logged in?
What is going on?
How can I trust a product that does not give me access when I need it?  I travel frequently and often to areas where there is no wifi not cellular coverage to "register" which means some day I will be stuck with a useless laptop and unable to do my work on CC.
Thank heavens I still have the standalone versions installed.  If it makes any difference, I clear my cache of cookies and browsing history every time I close my browser.
Frustrated!
All ideas appreciated!

  • Problems with the registration pop up menu

is there a reason why that when i go to open a document in either photoshop or indesign, the registration pop-up window comes up completely blank, won't go away and i can't go on to type or edit the document at all? i've just tried illustrator now and that is the same.

    Hi,
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

  • Product Registration Pop

I have a pop up reminder on the PC for the first time today to "register product and enjoy a host of benefits" - how can I get rid of it please - I've already registered and I thought it would be as simple as deleting the product registration link from the start menu. Now I can't close this popup manually or through task manager and hitting OK runs through the registration details pages (it already has my details on it) even if I go through the process and click register it takes me back to the F***ing pop up. Very frustrated - please help.Message Edited by Tony966 on 07-28-200708:45 AM

Glad to find this question raised on your forum, since am having the same problem. I am using Windows VISTA and your "fix" does not match what I see on my screen. I have no "run" option on the start menu? Is the sequence different for Vista? Thanks,Mof
It's hidden by default. To get it visible
. Right click on the Start button, and click Properties.
    2. From the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog, click Customize.
    3. Scroll down through the list until you shall find Run command. Check the box next to it.
    4. Click OK.

  • How can i disable the registration pop up when a new user logs in each time?

i work at a University and i install FCE 4, it launches and it comes to a registration screen.
how can i get that registration screen to go away so that when new users log into the Mac
they wont get that registration screen pop up?
    any help would be great.

The registration screen should only appear after every 5 launches.
If you register FCE it will no longer appear assuming it is on the same computer.

  • Creative Product Registration Pop-up/Can't remove Creative from my computer

It won't go away. I don't want to registar my mp3, but for some reason this stupid popup will not go away. I tried to remove all of the Creative programs from my computer, but I continue to get a "Setup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." message. This is SO annoying. Can someone please help.

I have tried uninstalling the program from my computer twice. I have tried registering the product several times. I have attempted to use customer support and the knowledge base, including the link provided in the message, but to no avail!!
I love this little product, but this is very frustrating. I have wasted numerous hours trying to get ride of this annoying pop-up window.

  • CS3 keeps hanging at the registration pop-up.

I got the feeling that it was a corrupt font that was causing the problem. But I just done a clean install on another machine and it has the exact same issue.
I found one registration file but I am not sure if it's for CS3 or CS5, but either way it is set to never.

CS3 had the worst installers I can remember.
Some things to try -- turn off firewalls and virus/malware scanners, uninstall Flash Player, make sure you have a default printer online that is NOT a network printer.

  • Lost registration no. and can't install FCE HD

When I try to install the software, I can't get beyond the pop-up for licensing/registration. Unfortunately, I've lost my packaging and don't know what to do about a registration no.
FYI, I bought the software from a seller on E-Bay. It was sold as new and the packaging looked fine (and the seller has a really good reputation).
    Would appreciate any help!

Thanks (Merci) everyone for your replies.
I suspect it's more than a registration glitch. The registration pop-up doesn't even offer the option to register later. When I try to continue, it continues to pop up and I can't select a drive to install the software.
And no, I had not already registered the software with Apple. In fact, I can't find an "Installing FCE" guide in a DVD format.
Hmmm, (expensive) lesson learned. If an offer looks too good to be true, it probably is.

  • Adobe user-registration prompt

We are working to deploy CS4 at my company are are trying to have the user-level registration pop-up keep from coming up when the users login to the workstations, in the past Adobe has provided a registry entry to turn this off, but I can't work to find this with the new software version? is there a solution for this? Need to turn it off for both Illustrator and Photoshop!  Registration screen shot below...
    Thanks -EK

    This is for PS CS4.
Go to C drive, Users, then your name, AppData, Roaming, Adobe.
Look for  folder called com.adobe.330.en_US.registration. This is for the US version so other countries should look the same.
Open this file in note pad.
At the very top insert the word Never.
Then click on file and then save then close out.
I am not sure about illustrator but it should be in a simular place.

  • Frozen Seagate Registration screen upon startup

I wonder if anyone could tell me how I might stop a screen for the registration of a Seagate external drive to keep from popping up frozen each time I boot my G5. I never installed the Seagate software though I have used the drive for storage.
What I get upon startup is a not responding Mac Installer and also a frozen program for Seagate Registration. I can force quit those two programs. I can't simply register the software because the installer comes up frozen, and then when I force quit the installer, the registration screen asks me to install the software, but it won't install because the installer hangs.
I don't want to install the software anyway. I just want to get rid of the registration screen permanently. I tried deleting anything having to do with Seagate in my application folder and preferences. But I wonder if I could be missing a place where I should delete something.
    Any help appreciated!

I am a little late to this party, but I have similar issues with this Seagate software which  I believe was wreaking havoc with my iMac ....and external hard drives. It was causing freezes at login requiring hard reboots. This morning after re-booting and subsequent to an unrequested diagnostic check a dialogue appeared saying that my new LaCie 2Tb HD was unreadable. I "ejected" the unreadable drive and continued on to a succesful login only to be met by the dreaded Seagate registration pop-up. I clicked on remind me in 14 days and proceeded to search for the source of this pernicious software. I followed celiacee's direction to the Seagate's knowledge base http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/com.instranet.InstraServlet?Command=com.instra net.CmdDocVote&Redirect=/seagate/crm/selfservice/search.jsp&DocId=215771&UEL_Doc Vote_DocId=215771&UEL_DocVote_Rating=4&UEL_DocVote_VotedDocExtIds=&Module=selfse rvice  I did not delete the start-up item, as suggested, right away. I right clicked on this start up item and selected "Reveal in Finder" and discovered multiple hidden seagate files including Seagate software bundle install packages. I intend to delete the relevant files  and hopefully this will end my relationship with Seagate. I had returned the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk 2 TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive STAC2000100 (Black) 13 days ago to Staples. Note the pop-up appeared 14 days later.

  • New iPad mini registration

I tried connecting my new iPad mini to my iTunes to register it. But nothing about registration pops up, any idea why or is there a place where I can check if my iPad is already registered? Thanks!

  • FCE 4 won't launch

Ok, before anybody lectures me, I know that an eMac is not supported for FCE 4 because of the graphics card. But it works for what I need to do, which is some DV capture and simple editing. It should also give me the ability to look at my friend's FCP sequences -- which I need to do. So here's my problem.
The first time I launch FCE it works just fine. I seem to have good functionality, though I haven't tried any graphics. But the second time it launches, the loading pop up appears, FCE tells me it is loading a bunch of stuff, and then it closes.
In order to successfully relaunch FCE I must delete ~/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Express User Data/Final Cut Express 4.0 User Prefs. (I tried the other files in the directory, and FCE4UserPrefs is the one and only that works).
If I delete that file, it will launch and I can open my project (i.e. File->Open) and work.
however this is inconvenient, especially since I have to reset all my preferences each time.
I already trolled the forum and tried some ideas that worked for other versions of FCE.
    Here's what I tried:
    1) made sure that I owned FCE.app and all the permissions were RW, both for the entire FCE.app directory, /Library/Applications Support/ and everything I could find. I also made sure that I am an administrator. This made no difference.
    2) tried editing /Applications/Final Cut Express/Contents/info.plist. I was looking for a line with AGP in it (since this was mentioned in one post regarding an earlier version of FCE). No such line in 4.0, but I tried deleting anything that looked like a requirement that could cause it to fail to launch. This also made no difference. If someone has a specific set of lines to try, I would be happy to try again.
    3) I looked at every imaginable log file (using /Applications/Utilities/Console) and couldn't find any error messages that seems to relate to FCE (certainly none with a time stamp that matched my attempt to launch the program). Its as though the program launches, finds something and exits gracefully and quietly.
As I said, I know FCE isn't supported on my machine, and i will live with this problem if I have to, but does anyone have any suggestions?
One more clue. The first time I launched FCE (right after installation), I got a pop up saying that the graphics card wasn't supported and informing me that i was taking my chances. I clicked continue. But before I clicked continue i also clicked the button that said "don't show this message again." I no longer see that message, even if I delete the entire directory of ~/Lib.../Pref.../FCEUserData.

I think your suggestion was a good one (uninstall and then reinstall) and I don't blame anyone for what happened, but I am now completely screwed.
I deleted (or renamed or moved) all the files, except those obviously having to do with Live Type (I don't have soundtrack) and reinstalled.
    Installation went OK.
I relaunched FCE and as expected, the registration pop up appeared. Before I could click Register, the app exited. There was a crash dump, I forget what file it was in.
I went back and carefully made sure that every file was deleted or renamed, including the Live Type files. I reinstalled again.
    Same thing.
I tried to launch several other apps, and they all launched OK.
    I then rebooted my system.
It booted OK at first, but after the desktop and finder window appeared, the screen reset and the desktop and finder window were redrawn. This repeats forever.
I tried shutting down from the apple pulldown. Didn't work.
I tried launching another app, it started to launch, and then exited.
Seems like processes (including Finder) are aborting after launch.
I finally shut down from the power button.
    I restarted, same thing.
Now here is my problem ---
I have a full backup of the system, made yesterday and another full backup made 1 week ago, before I installed FCE. I am inclined to go with the backup made a week ago.
But the backup was made with Synk6, which only runs on 10.4.
I have 1) my original eMac recovery disk, which is 10.3 and I have a upgrade disk to 10.4. The upgrade disk does not launch a complete system (i.e. my internal hard drive is not mounted and there is no finder or any way to launch apps that I can see).
So I am trying to figure out the best path to restoring my system.
I also suspect that the problem does not lie in FCE. This is just too weird. I would like to run diags (I have memtest and will run it soon from the 10.3 restore disk).
What I am thinking I have to do is,
    1) use the 10.3 restore disk to restore to 10.3 (if it will let me do that)
    2) upgrade to 10.4 using the upgrade disk
    3) use synk to restore my backup from a week ago.
what a pain....... I could be at this all day.....
Nobody's fault, I think. just bad luck.
Suggestions (and sympathy) would be appreciated.
Thank God for this old iMac in the basement or I would be cut off.
