Registry not compatible with cd rw drivers
I am trying to burn a cd from iTunes, but everytiime I start the program I get a message that the registry and drivers aren't compatible. It says this happens when you use another program to burn a cd, and it suggests that I reinstall iTunes.
I've reinstalled it 3 different ways, but I still keep getting the same message and it doesn't recognize my cd rw drive.
Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Can you post a screenshot of the contents of the key you've been editing, please? Include all of the regedit screen, including the left-hand column. Save the screenshot to an image file, and insert the image file in a reply by clicking the wee camera icon at the top of the reply window.

I downloaded CS6 and am having issues with my print driver. It is not compatible with the HP 2600n and have tried to download drivers given to me by adobe ( (Jupiter 3) but it is not working. after a few days. Its a temporary fix and is still looking for the HP driver when i boot up. It also will not save in any print or postscript format. Does anyone know how to fix?

It is quite possible the battery door may get your phone in working order again. I'm not sure if the store has it in stock, but it is available in our warehouse for $14.99 which can be ordered via customer service.

I've searched everywhere I can think of for a solution to this problem with no success. I see other people have reported similar issues and these have not yet been resolved.
I have installed Windows 7 32 bit on a new Mac Mini under Bootcamp. When I go to install the Bootcamp drivers in Windows, I get the message "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are running".
Other people have reported this issue when trying to install 3rd party software on a 64 bit version of windows but I'm simply trying to install the Bootcamp drivers on a 32 bit version of Windows.
Is it possible the Mac Mini needs a 64 bit version of Windows installed under Bootcamp? I haven't seen this requirement mentioned anywhere.

That's because the Late 2012 iMac and Mac mini only supports the 64-bit Windows 7 version, so the drivers you downloaded are designed to work with the 64-bit version and you can't install them on a 32-bit version. Install the 64-bit Windows 7 on your computer -
I have software that is not compatible with the latest video drivers that were installed witht 10.7.5 update. I would like to revert back to 10.7.4 OS or at least the video driver, is there a way to do this?
If you want to reformat your machine and re-install all your apps and then restore from an earlier version of Time Machine you can. However if I were you I'd update the apps.

Provider Not Compatible with client
I downloaded the Oracle 11g ODAC 11.1.0.7.20 and installed it on my development computer.
The C# aspx web pages are running fine on my computer now on localhost. But when I publish the files to the development server, I am getting the error: "The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client".
The only access I have on that development server is to one directory for uploading the web pages. I have no other access. I believe they have the older version 10 something of the client installed but I want to use the latest one on my site. Also, I don't want them to install a new driver; don't want to mess up other sites on that server since they may need to use the older odp.net / clients.
I have read somewhere that I can put the dll files in the bin directory and it would work. I followed the instructions from here http://splinter.com.au/blog/?p=156 and I am still getting the error.
How can I deploy my web pages to the server and still use the latest odp.net drivers?

As suggested in the last reply, this is the binary mismatch issue, essentially ODP is not able to find correct / compatiible client binaries during runtime. Now couple of points:
1. ODP needs a service layer binary (ORAOPS), which needs to be exactly same version as ODP or else execution fails with exception, as suggested in the link - http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/windows/odpnet/faq.html#MOH
first place to pick it is application directory and then registry / path variable comes into the picture, so this could not be an issue in this case, since you have coipied everything to the same directory.
However, please remember for an assembly signed with the strong name first place to probe is GAC not application directory, so in case on the development server ODP is installed in the GAC then there could be a mismatch, since it is trying to match with your oraops binary.
2. Also, in case you haven't copied oraops dll then regitry comes in to the picture and in case development server doesn't point to the right directory, then it would lead to the same error.
So, you need to make sure that development server loads the right odp and oraops combination.\
May be use process explorer to see the binaries / versions loaded.
Also, let me add, beside oraops even if other client binaries are 10g specific, there wouldn't be a compatibility issue, since Oracle products maintain backward compatibility, so odp 11g binary would be fine with client 10g binary till the point, there's are no new unsupported APIs are called, that would be a certain exception

Windows XP SP3. Worked this morning! Now I get this error
XULRunner keeps saying "error: platform version 20.0.1 is not compatible with >min version=19.0 <max version=19.0" how do i fix this?This is caused by a broken (corrupted) Firefox installation where not all files have been updated properly.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

The problem is that the JDBC version of the iAS 9.0.4.1 is missing the class DatumWithConnection that is indirectly referenced by the interMedia classes supplied with JDeveloper 10.1.2.
In detail, oracle.ord.im.OrdDoc uses oracle.sql.STRUCT. The inheritance hierarchy of STRUCT is different in the JDBC versions on iAS 9.0.4.1 (oracle.sql.Datum <- oracle.sql.STRUCT) and JDeveloper 10.1.2 (oracle.sql.Datum <- oracle.sql.DatumWithConnection <- oracle.sql.STRUCT). The class file of oracle.ord.im.OrdDoc (from 10.1.2. JDeveloper) was apparently compiled the new JDBC driver version since it contains a reference to oracle.sql.DatumWithConnection. And that class cannot be found if run on iAS 9.0.4.1 with its old JDBC version.
I think this is a very serious problem, since it means that ADF from JDeveloper 10.1.2 is not compatible with iAS 9.0.4.1, in contradiction to the support matrix (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/as_supportmatrix.html).
Upgrading the JDBC Driver on the iAS seems to be the only clean solution for this problem (we also tried using old versions of the ordim.jar etc. but that always leads to other problems). But simply exchanging the JDBC jar-files on the server breaks the Enterprise Manager on our iAS installation.
I have two questions:
1) Is there a recommended workaround for the compatibility issue described above?
2) Is there a documented and supported way to upgrade the JDBC driver of iAS 9.0.4.1? I searched OTN and MetaLink and haven't found anything about this.

More info on what we tested:
We have thoroughly checked that the 10.1.2. ADF runtime was correctly deployed on our iAS 9.0.4.1. We installed a OC4J 9.0.4.0.0 standalone on the same linux machine as our iAS 9.0.4.1 and deployed our application on it, getting the same error (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/sql/DatumWithConnection) as on the iAS. Replacing the JDBC drivers of the OC4J standalone with the version that came with JDeveloper 10.1.2 solved the problem.I don't think that mixing classes from different jar file is a good idea. Nevertheless, we tested this approach already. Adding the DatumWithConnection.class from the 10.1.0.3.0 JDBC version to the jar file of the original JDBC version (of the iAS 9.0.4.1.0) caused a java.lang.VerifyError to appear.
The DatumWithConnection class is not simply added in the newer JDBC version. It is inserted into the inheritance hierarchy of oracle.sql.STRUCT and oracle.sql.Datum. Simply providing the new class next to the old JDBC driver will not work.
To give more information about what's wrong with updating the complete JDBC driver, I justed tested it again. To update the JDBC driver I stopped the server, changed the contents of jdbc/lib, started the server. I tried it with JDBC Version 9.2.0.5 as well as 10.1.0.3.0.
In both cases, our own application works, i.e. no more NoClassDefFoundError caused by oracle.sql.DatumWithConnection.
The Enterprise Manager shows strange behaviour, however. Some features work as usual but, for example, when I click on the "Applications" tab for our OC4J instance, we just get the following error shown in the browser:

We have an SSIS package that runs on clustered MSSQL 2012 Enterprise Nodes that is failing. We use a job to executer the package.
Environmental information:
Product - Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise: Core-based Licensing (64-bit)
Operating System - Microsoft Windows NT 6.1 (7601)
Patform - NT x64
Version - MSSQL Version 11.0.3349.0
Package is set to 32 -bit. All permissions verified. Runs in lower environments, same MSSQL version. All environments are clustered. In the failing environment, all nodes are at the same service pack. I have not verified if all
nodes in the failing environment have SSIS installed. Data access is installed. We have other simpler packages that run in this environment, just not this one. Time to ask the community for help!

According to your description, the error occurs when you execute the package with Agent job on clustered MSSQL 2012 Enterprise Nodes.
As per my understanding, I think this issue can be caused by you use SQL Server Agent to schedule a SQL Server Integration Services package in a 64-bit environment. And the SSIS package is referencing some 32-Bit DLL or 32-Bit drivers which are available
only in 32-bit versions, so the job failed.
To fix this issue, we should use the 32-bit version of the DTExec.exe utility to schedule the 64-bit SQL Server Agent to run a package. To run a package in 32-bit mode from a 64-bit version of SQL Server Agent, we can go to the Job Step dialog box, then
select “32 bit runtime” in the Advanced tab.
Besides, we should make sure that SQL Server Integration Services is installed on the failing environment.

This AE is not compatible with this version of Itunes????
Hello forum! i just setup a TC with two AE with air iTunes. They both work excellent with the sort pauses. Today i decide to run the Ethernet cable to each AE. Did the setup as commanded, i just tested it with a Macbook and MacbookPro and both work fine no more lack(yey). Everything is up to date TC 7.5.1 and AE 7.4.2.
My problem is that when trying to connect from a Windows 7 pc just one AE is connected, the other gives me this message ""The Remote speaker is not compatible with this version of iTunes"" i did every i could, hard reset on both, new setup same OS on both... so i really do not understand what the problem.
i have the lasted iTunes on the pc( re-downloaded twice today)
or
if i just select the AE that give me the error work's fine, but when i add the second one it says it been used by someones else.
please help.......

What program do you run?
Please contact the software provider to confirm if this 32-bit program can run in 64-bit Windows.
As some programs can only run in specific version of Windows, please download the right version of software.
Most programs designed for the 32-bit version of Windows will work on the 64-bit version of Windows. Notable exceptions are many antivirus programs.
Device drivers designed for the 32-bit version of Windows don't work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows too.

I keep getting this error message when opening Firefox on my computer. However, if I run it as an Administrator it works fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox including downgrading to older versions and still no luck. This is the Error I get:

I hope somebody can help us. I am a IT Technician in a school, we have approx 500 Windows 7 64bit machines with about 600/700 users - 200 machines have the CS5.5 Master Collection installed on them. We have an intermittent issue with printing from Photoshop (both the 32bit and 64bit versions). Our printers are mostly HP LaserJet printers (all modern), but we have an Epson B-510DN Inkjet and some Xerox copiers too. The drivers are all installed on a central print server running Server 2008 R2 and shared via Group Policy to client machines.
In rooms where Photoshop is installed, intermittently when a student goes to print we will recieve the following error:
The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before printing.
Photoshop will then grey out the 'Print' button and won't let the user print again. The odd thing is that we can still print from other software such as Microsoft Word or even non Microsoft software - even Illustrator will print. It just seems to be Photoshop thats has any issues.
This happens when printing to any printer on site, 90% of which are HP's. As a general rule we configure all of our HP printers with HP's PCL6 Universal Print Driver as it makes management of various printer models easy, and we haven't found it to limit us atall yet. We are aware the Adobe software is 'preferential' to Postscript drivers but our printers arn't, being HP's PCL is their native language. We have tried changing a printer to the Postscript UPD driver to test it but it made no improvement. We have also seen the issue quite indepth with our Epson B-510DN which is configured with Epson's latest model specific driver as our photography department use it. Since we are seeing it with different printers I don't believe the printer drivers are to blame - unless somebody want's to prove me wrong.
Like I say the problem is intermittent, and we are having trouble tracing it down to a user, computer or a software problem as it is so intermittent. Has anybody else seen this and managed to overcome it? Since it's only happening in Photoshop is it a bug that Adobe have recognosed and fixed in CS6? The only workaround we have found for it is to go into printers, chnage the defualt printer from one to another and back again - this seems to shut Photoshop up.

Apologies for my slow reply - we have been busy here the past few weeks.
We are using a standard Microsoft provided JPG image (Tulips.jpg) so we have ruled out it being an issue with the image; perhaps if we were using a PSD, maybe so.
We have now found out what the issue is, and what the workaround for this bug is. All of our printers across our site are named in a specific format, usually [Location name] [Room number] [Mono or Colour] resulting in printer names such as Photography A11 Colour, Art A2B Colour and Design Technology A14 Colour. All of these names contain numbers. We have tried reimaging machines, reinstalling Photoshop, upgrading to CS6, deleting and reconfiguring printers with the same name. Finally the only solution that worked was to take the numbers out of the name, either by renaming or deleting and reconfiguring the printers. The Photography printer is an Epson B-510DN using a model specific driver and the other two use the HP PCL6 UPD driver, so I don't believe the drivers are to blame and since renaming the printers work I don't believe it's a configuration issue either. Remember that these printers are shared from a print server and deployed via Group Policy (using the Print Management method).
I hope this provides you Chris, and others searching Google, a useful explanation of the problem and what the fix is. As much as Adobe won't admit it's a problem/bug, I and many others across the internet believe that it is and that it should be fixed in future versions of Photoshop.

I have PSE13 on my system, Windows 8.1, 64-bit. It was functioning properly after installation and now I get these messages when I go to print: "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available. You need to check your printer settings before printing." and then this statement: "Default printer could not be opened." I have reloaded drivers for both printers and made any upgrades possible. It was working fine before and now all of a sudden, nothing. Would prefer to have old PSE v.12 back, it worked with no problems.

Disk Warrior not compatible with OS 10.4.6?
I purchased DiskWarrior (version 3.03) last year and used it once on my old 1.6 GHz iMac with OS 10.3.6.
I now have a 2.1 GHz non-Intel iSight iMac with Mac OS 10.4.6.
I have tried twice to start up from the DiskWarrior CD - the first time, I never got beyond the grey apple and very loud fans whirring; the second time, I got another grey icon (sort of like a traffic sign - a circle with a line through it) along with the spinning wheel. Both times I gave up after 30 minutes and turned the iMac off with the power button.
This is a bit expensive for a one time use. It seems that DiskWarrior is not compatible with OS 10.4.6 and/or the iSight iMac? I checked the Alsoft website - v. 3.03 is the latest version available.Wow! I think that you will either need to wait until your external drive is free to be erased, or to buy another external drive to be able to do everything you want all at once.
Once you have a free drive, divide it into two partitions, including one that is only about 5GB. Install a bare system using your iMac's Install & Restore Disc 1 onto this small partition. Customize your installation by choosing not to install printer drivers, languages, iLife applications, extra fonts or X11. This installation will be a little over 2GB.
When you first visit this system's Desktop, go to Software Update and install only the 10.4.6 Combined Update, any Java updates and possibly QuickTime 7.0.4. Reboot and repair permissions. Remove everything from the Dock but Safari and System Preferences. Drag Disk Utility into the Dock from your Applications/Utilities/ folder.
Launch Safari, go to shirtpocket.com and download and install the cloning utility, SuperDuper! Drag SuperDuper!'s icon from your Utilities folder to the Dock. Register it if you want the added features, or use the unregistered version to make your clones fresh each time.
Next, insert the Disk Warrior disc (any version of Disk Warrior 3.0.3 will do here) and drag DW to your /Applications/Utilities/ folder. Drag Disk Warrior's icon in your Utilities folder to the Dock.
Now you need only boot into your small maintenance partition to launch Disk Warrior so you can run it on your iMac and/or the clone that is on the external's larger partition. And of course, you'll clone your iMac to the larger partition on your external drive by booting into the smaller partition and running SuperDuper! from there.

Saved printer information is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 11
Hello - After successfully using PSE11 to print photos on my Epson Artisan 810 printer, the printer died and was replaced with an Epson Artisan 837 printer. The new printer works on ALL of my other applications EXCEPT I receive the following error message after hitting 'print' on Photoshop Elements 11.
MESSAGE:
The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before printing.
You can see from the screen print attached that the Epson Artisan 837 is a validly installed printer. All advanced settings were available for selection/modification, and all printer drivers are up to date. Also, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer without resolution of the problem.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction to resolve this issue?

Here's what I had to do to get this to work:
1 - I first tried to rename this printer to a generic 'DSLW Printer'. This renaming worked for ALL OTHER applications except Photoshop Elements 11 even after rebooting my PC. Received the identical error message listed in the original message.
2 - I then renamed the printer as 'EPSON Artisan 810 Series'. This was of course a lie but matched the printer as named by the 2010 original Artisan 810 installation. VOILA! This does work for Photoshop Elements 11 (jpg and psd files tested) and the other applications that I've tested. Hopefully all other testing will provide equally successful results.
So problem seems to be resolved BUT is this a question/problem that I should pursue with either Adobe or Epson? I do know that the 810 and 837 only differ in the ability to print from a wider variety of wireless devices (e.g. cell phones & tablets), otherwise the functionality is virtually identical. Did Epson drop the ball or did Adobe? Or maybe it's simply that I'm a die hard XP sp3 (32 bit) user until forced out by Microsoft.
