Registry of Photoshop Elements 13

I just purchased adobe photoshop elements 13 today.  Product SN ADB00PH136067195950.  During the registry the Alpha's of the SN aren't accepted.  What next?

Well, this is the Premiere Elements forum.
But in any event, if your serial number isn't working, you'll need to contact Adobe Tech Support and see if they'll issue a new one. (This is a user-to-user forum and we aren't able to do this.)
Or you may want to contact Amazon.com, if this is a used copy of the program. It could be that it's previously been activated.
Though even then, you won't get a message saying the serial number is wrong. Are you sure you're the correct serial number for each program?
Serial numbers for Premiere Elements start with 1143, I believe, and numbers for Photoshop Elements start with 1057.

  • Problem with Photoshop Elements 6.0 disc

When I purchased a wacom bamboo fun tablet last year it came with free a Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 disc. However, the disc isn't working. I hvae my serial number and everything, but whne I put the dic in the drive, nothing happens. Is there any way to download Elements 6.0 and then just enter my serial number? (Like how you do with a free trial, I think?)

    Yay google!
    I have a similar problem.
Im moving to a new computer and cant find the disc for elements 6.
I managed to get the serial off my old computer (using a program made for finding it in registry),
but I dont know how to install it to the new computer without a disc.
Isnt there a trial for it anywhere? I wanna draw!
PS, mine came with my intuos3. the tablet is kinda the only thing I didnt lose.

  • Photoshop elements won't run, eula agreement error

This week one of our users began experiencing a problem with using Photoshop Elements 5.0.  She knows the application worked fine on her computer a few weeks ago, but when she tried to use the program today she is being asked to accept or decline the user agreement.  Once she clicks "Accept" the program then gives her the error message below:
"Your Adobe Photoshop Elements EULA agreement has been declined or is invalid.  The application cannot continue and must now exit."
She clicks "OK" and the program exits.  What has happened?  Do we need to re-install?  We work in an environment where we have no administrative rights on these machines and so we are trying to avoid getting the IT folks to re-install since they could take a couple weeks.  Please help us figure out this problem.
    Thanks!!

This is a recuring issue for me, most likely caused by a registry cleaner. I can go months - as many as six without that lovely greeting. I have found no other way to correct it other than a reinstallation.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 catalog conversion solution

The Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer failed to convert my Photoshop Elements 6 catalog until I ran the PSE11 Organizer under the built-in Windows 7 Administrator account. I did not find this solution mentioned during my efforts to solve this installation problem. It was not a suggestion I found in Adobe's help files dealing with catalog conversion. So here is a summary for others with this problem.
I installed Photoshop Elements 11 on my Dell XPS 9000 running Windows 7 Pro x64. I retained my PSE6 installation. I have nearly 20,000 cataloged images in my PSE6 catalog.
Problems began when the PSE11 Organizer failed to convert my PSE6 catalog to the new PSE11 format. The process seemed to run to completion, but then an error message said the conversion had failed. The suggestion was to repair and optimize the PSE6 catalog using PSE6, then try converting again. Conversion to PSE11 still failed. I spent a few hours searching for suggestions and solutions and tried each of them without success.
I then found one suggestion that the problem might involve permissions. The suggestion was to right click PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe in its installation folder (which on my computer is at at D:\Photo\Elements 11 Organizer) and run Organizer as an administrator. This also failed. However it did get me thinking about permissions.
Even though my personal account on my computer is an administrator account, I logged off my personal account and logged on to my computer's built-in Administrator account that comes with Windows 7. I don't think I've used that account for any other purpose since I set up this computer 3 years ago.
I then ran the PSE11 Elements Organizer using the Administrator account and the catalog conversion ran to completion and all seemed correct.
However, when I went to the folder where I kept my PSE6 catalog (G:\0-PSElementsCatalog\FamilyPhotos-6), the new PSE11 catalog was not there. Instead, PSE11 had put the converted catalog in the (absolutely awful) default location at C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\FamilyPhotos-6). Using the PSE11 Organizer, I renamed the catalog to G:\0-PSElementsCatalog\FamilyPhotos-11(ConvertedFrom6). I then used PSE11 Organizer to move the converted catalog to my preferred location on my G: drive.
    All is now well.
Why did I have to use the built-in Administrator account to do the catalog conversion? What permissions does it have that my personal account (also an Administrator) does not have? Some years ago I encountered a similar problem that involved permissions on a registry key, not permissions on files or folders. Perhaps someone at Adobe can enlighten us.

    One thing puzzles me:

I don't understand why running the exe from the installation folder would have worked.
I would have simply tried to run that exe from its real location :
Sorry, I can't help you more about permissions...

  • Photoshop Elements 12 does not install on Win 8.1 64bit

    Hi!
My system: Windows 8.1 64 bit with all patches, 32GB Ram and engough HD space.
    I downloaded PSE 12 32bit and Premiere Elements 12 64bit. Both won't install.
    Problems:
Premiere: Installation fails when shared components should be installed. I spent more than 2hrs trying every tip I found in forums. Same result.
Photoshop: It always tries to deinstall Elements 12 (which is definetely not installed) and fails becaus of "Specified path is empty". It was never fully installed. I cleaned all folders manually, I deleted registry entries according forum advise. I rebooted. I put the installation files onto C:. Before I installed, I deinstalled Elements 9. I also cleaned those files. An no, I did not deinstall my Antivirus. I cannot deactivate it and deinstalling is a very very bad option.
    What I already tried:
    10 reboots
    Deinstall old version
    Clean Temp folder
    Clean Registry
Delete all folders and hopefull all registry "Elements" entries
    Archive OOBE Folder
    Moved installation Files to C:
    Start Installation as Administrator
Monitored if any other Adobe program is running - killed all
Any help is much apreshiated. I am desperate and about to return the products.
    Michael
    Added solution attempts.

Ok, I had many problems with the installation, but after three attempts I've got it working. This might work with a previously failed installation - but there are other guides in the forum to get this position -thanks also to the many threads on the this - which pointed me in the right direction
Previously I'd had issues with Error 1935, (on Shared Technologies), Blue screens due to clbudf.sys from Cyberlink Instant burn which blue screened (thread abort exception) this install as also iTunes. (I haven't installed this now...
    My scenario. Win 7 (clean) -> Win 8 -> Win 8.1
After setting up the setting up the system.
I ensured the following : (although begrudingly) so I could do a system restore if needed.
    -I disabled Anitvirus & Firewall
    -enabled Volume Shadow Copy Service
I then ensured I had downloaded Adobe Application Manager 8.0 (read this may help) - I installed - but I did not run it as I believe it updates to Adobe CC Manager( from previous attempts)
i also downloaded and installed the 32 bit versions of :
    C++2008 redistributable (32 bit)
    C++2008 SP1 redistributable (32 bit)
I installed Premiere Elements (64 bit) - note I had previously installed Sony Vegas 10 Platinum, which downloaded and installed NET 3.5/Net 2.0 adding to windows features, which many have helped - not sure.
I installed Photoshop Elements (32 bit)
I started both apps and updated them to 12.1.
Happy ... finally - hope this helps others - or at least helps adobe improve their installer, diagnose the issue for others.

  • Sync with Photoshop Elements 4.0

Windows: I have the latest version of ITunes and Ipod (Color 60 GB) software installed. I have been uploading photos via the standard "Select Folder" process. I just installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 and am not able to sync any Collections from that software. I go into Ipod Options, Photos Tab and still only see the "Select Folder" option. I do not see any way to get to Photoshop Elements 4.0 Collections.
Any advise on how to accomplish? Thanks,

In case you don't see my post in the iTunes for Windows thread....
OK, I found a way to solve this problem. Hopefully is going to be fixed in a new version.
Basically the problem is that the registry location of the catalog is different between 4.0 and 3.0. Luckily iTunes doesn’t have any problems reading the Catalog file for 4.0.
WARNING 1: If you have never used regedit before, then this trick is probably not for you.
WARNING 2: Is a good idea to make a backup of the registry before changing it.
    1) Create the Key "3.0" under HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Photoshop Elements
    2) Create the Key "Organizer" under the Key "3.0" you created in the last step
    3) Create 2 String Values under Organizer:
    CurrentDatabaseName
    CurrentDatabasePath
    4) Enter the name of your catalog file in the first one and the path in the second one.
    Tips:
    1) You can copy the values from the Key for 4.0 if you didn’t change the default location of the Catalog, otherwise you have to look in HKCU for the right ones (or in Photoshop Elements)
    2) If it doesn’t work, try with or without the extension .psa for the "CurrrentDatabaseName" Value
    ENJOY!

  • Photoshop elements 5.0 has suddenly stopped working..

it says my user name or registration has failed and closes every time i go to open photoshop elements.. please any help would be great as i have no idea whats going on...

I found the tech note, but it seems one needs a working install of pse 5.
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/401/kb401315.html
If your on a 64 bit version of windows 7, then the registry setting is at
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{A7B609 FB-83D8-4FC3-8477-1BC65ECFE85B}
One thing you might try is going to
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0 (32 bit windows 7)
    or
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0 (64 bit windows 7)
right click on the PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe and choose Run as Administrator and see if that does any good.

  • Same problem with photoshop elements download as bill33mor

I'm having similar issues attempting a download of the Adobe Photoshop Elements tryout, on a PC running Vista.
First it stopped during install of Shared Technologies and rolled back the entire installation.  I thought this might be due to a quick neighborhood power outage during the installation, so I tried again, but the same thing happened.  I read the Troubleshooting help (below) but I'm not quite techie enough to deal with log files.  Tried again, attempting one thing it seemed to suggest - pointing the installation download directly to the C drive rather than a folder (?) - but no luck.  Now there's no error message, but the Download Assistant Welcome screen comes back after half an hour of downloading and extracting, and doesn't seem to complete the installation. No desktop icon comes up; I can see some files on the C drive but nothing appears to be executable.
The installation of Photoshop Elements or Adobe Premiere Elements can fail with one of the following errors:
"The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Elements could be installed. Below mentioned application has failed to install: Shared Technologies."
"The Adobe Premiere Elements installation wizard was interrupted while installing Shared Technologies."
"The installation process has encountered an error while installing Shared Technologies."
To resolve these issues, use the Adobe Support Advisor (ASA) to analyze the installation log file. For instructions, see Analyze install logs with Adobe Support Advisor (ASA).
Note: If you are using a downloaded installer, or running the installation from the hard drive, the Shared Technologies can fail because of the installation path. Copy the installation files to a folder to the root of the drive, such as C:\PSE<versionnumber>Installer\, and rerun the installation.
If the ASA tool is unable to provide you with a solution, see the "Analyze the Main Installation Log manually" section in Troubleshoot install using logs | Premiere Elements, Photoshop Elements.

I have tried all of the suggested solutions to get Shared Technologies to install successfully and it has failed every time. This is the 5-6th time I have attempted installing PSE 12 and it fails. I have rebooted without any startup items or non-MIcrosoft services (on a Win 7 x64 machine). I have shut off all backup softward, all virus software, installed a new admin account and tried from it, deleted OOBE files after renaming didn't help, uninstalled other Adobe software, killed all/any processes from adobe (or other obvious processes not related). I have spent extensive time working with Adobe chat support. I have deleted all folders from my machine that include anything PSE related and used a utility (ccleaner) to wipe and fix all registry and legacy file space. PSE has been installing - again - for over 35 minutes and is again on the "Installing required Shared Technologies" dialogue screen. The following is a snipit of the log file that contains the ONLY () reference to anything not working with the install:

  • Link between lightroom and photoshop elements

    Hello.
A few days ago I installed photoshop elements 6 on my Leopard 10.5.3 instance. I have also Lightroom 1.4.1 installed, but he/she doesn't seem to detect the elements installation. I can't do an edit in photoshop.
With which mechanism the Lightroom program detects if there is any photoshop installed?
Should I use the alternative editor path to call Elements 6? And if so, will I have the same functionality then?
Is the direct link only there for CSx?
In order to test in a "clean" environment, I have made a fresh installation of Leopard, Photoshop Elements and Lightroom on an external disk, but even then Lightroom doesn't detect Elements 6.
However, if I install Photoshop Elements 4, everything works fine.
    Any help is much appreciated!!
    Marc.
PS: this tech note doesn't help me - www.adobe.com/go/kb401629.

    Kenny,
    1) There are known problems of LR not recognizing Photoshop CS / PSE automatically as present. Uninstalling and reinsalling PSE might help.
If now successful, and if you're on a windows system, adding the following key to your registry might solve the problem:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe]
    @="C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Photoshop Elements 8.0\\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
    "Path"="C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Photoshop Elements 8.0"
    2) You can have as many external editors as you like. Go to Preferences/External Editing, setup the executable and format you want to pass to it, then do a "Save Current Settings as New Preset". This will establish an additonal external editor for LR.

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 removes three drives.

    Computer - AMD Athlon[tm]XP 2400+; 2.00 GHz, 1.00 GB of Ram.
System - Microsoft Windows; XP Home Edition; Version 2002; SP2.
80GB hard disc, 60GB free space.
    Printer HP laserJet 1010
Q1. My newly purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 has removed three drives from My Computer. D:[CD drive]; E:[CD-RW drive], and F:[DVD drive].
When I removed the programme the drives were back. I installed again and the drives disappeared. I need the drives and I want to keep Photoshop Elements 4.0.
Is there a patch or an update that will stop this from happening? Any ideas or suggestions ?
Q2. If this problem cannot be resolved and I download a trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 from the internet, can I use this new product's license number to validate the trial version?

May I reply here to both of the kind people who have responded to my appeal?
To Barbara. Thank you. It appears that I need someone who knows how to 'fiddle' with the registry. I lack the skill so I shall ask a friend who built this computer.
To Brian. Thank you. Yes, I do have those drives. D: for installing programmes, E: for my Nero Burning Rom [I do not use Nero any more because I have an external hard drive for backups but it is handy for copying], and E: a DVD drive. I could live without E: and F: and if that would solve the problem I would happily agree to them being removed. Right now, I am left wih only one drive, A: the floppy drive. No doubt you will have had a look at Barbara's link. It may be the answer. I'm hopeful.
Again, Many thanks to both of you. I will keep you informed.

  • Cannot "Open With.." in Photoshop Elements 10

I've upgraded from PE9 to PE10 and then uninstalled PE9. When using PE9 (and PE8 before it) I could right click on a photo and select "Open with - Photoshop Elements 9". Since upgrading to PE10 I am unable to do this i.e 'Photoshop Elements 10' does not appear in the "Open With.." list. I am using Win7 64Bit.

This is what I found. The basic problem is that Photoshop Elements 10 is not properly registering itself when it installs. I upgraded from v9 to v10 so that may have something to do with it. If you do what the solution suggests then it will set up the registry entries so that “Open With..” will include PE10. However if you have an automatic registry cleaning program (I have System Mechanic) then it will soon delete those registry entries as the program referenced (i.e PE10) is not registered. Having discovered this I then set System Mechanic to ignore the appropriate registry entries and thus it does not delete them. “Open With… PE10” has since worked fine.

  • Apple! Please support Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 with iTunes!

After upgrading Adobe Photoshop Elements from version 5 to version 6, pictures can not be synced. Please fix iTunes to support version 6. I have the latest itunes version 7.5.0.20 on windows.

iTunes doesn’t support syncing with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. Adobe made significant changes to the program’s internal database, which iTunes reads directly. Hacking the registry won’t work, since iTunes is expecting the older database format. Apple is finally starting to update its documents to explicitly state they only support versions 3-5, e.g.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305703
My clumsy work-around is to export the desired photos from PSE 6 into a set of Windows folders and then sync iTunes with the folders. The likelihood that Apple will fix iTunes soon seems small.

  • Sync with Photoshop Elements 6.0?

Does anyone know whether iTunes / Apple TV supports Photoshop Elements 6.0?
I upgraded to Photoshop Elements 6.0 yesterday, and now when I select "Photoshop Elements" on the Photos tab of the Appple TV in iTunes 7.4.3, no albums show up (whereas with Elements 5.0 I was syncing many albums and 5000 photos successfully).

    Scott--
This is what suggestion #4 of the Adobe TechNote "Troubleshoot system errors or freezes in Photoshop Elements 6.0 (Windows XP)" says --
To re-create the Photoshop Elements registry values:
Disclaimer: This procedure involves editing the Windows registry. Adobe doesn't provide support for editing the registry, which contains critical system and application information. Make sure to back up the registry before editing it. For more information about the registry, see the Windows documentation or contact Microsoft.
    Exit Photoshop Elements.
    Choose Start > Run.
In the Open box, type regedit. Click OK to open the Registry Editor.
Navigate to the HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\common\settings key in the left-hand pane of Registry Editor.
With the settings key selected in the left pane, choose File > Export, enter a filename and location, then click Save.
    In the right-hand pane, Ctrl+click the following values: COLOR_SETTINGS, PRINT_UNITS, RESET_WARNINGS, SHOW_WELCOME, STARTUP_APP
Choose Edit > Delete. Click Yes in the Confirm Value Delete dialog box.
Go to File > Exit to close the Registry Editor.
Start Photoshop Elements. Photoshop Elements create new registry values.
If the problem continues, the preferences file isn't the cause. To restore custom settings, delete the new preferences file and restore the original name of the previous preferences file. To restore the registry values, double-click on the registry backup file created in step 5 of the instructions above.

  • Photoshop Elements 6.0 Problem

Thanks in advance for any help. I've been using Photoshop Elements to sync Collections to my iPods; I select only the collections I want to sync.
Since updating PE to v. 6.0 (I converted my Catalog), I see the "Collections" I created with version 5, but none of the new "Albums" I've created with 6.0. This is true when I check the Photos tab on either my Touch or my Classic.
    Thanks again for any help.

I think you can edit the registry to create a key that will point iTunes to the right place to see your albums. The question however is: did Adobe change the format of the 6.0 catalogs enough so that iTunes will be able to understand what it finds? I don't have PSE 6.0 so I'm only guessing at this answer but it doesn't take much effort to try.
Here is what you can try:
    1) In PSE 6.0 make sure your last opened catalog is the one that has your collections to sync.
    2) Open the registry editor and export the key:
    HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Organizer
    3) Open the file in an editor and change the '6.0' part to '5.0'. Save the file.
    4) Right click on the file and choose 'Merge'.
What this will do is create a a path to your catalogs that iTunes can see. Try opening iTunes and determine if it can find your photos.
