Although a subscriber to cloud, Acrobat XI stopped working; telling me that 'the trial period had ended'. I uninstalled Acrobat XI and now I can't reinstall it. The download manager shows it as 'up to date'??Help

  • How do I uninstall/reinstall Creative Cloud in it's entirety?

Recently Acrobat XI stopped printing to pdf.  (It allows saving as pdf fine, but will not print to pdf.) I tried uninstalling Acrobat via an uninstall utility, (Revo) then downloading another copy and reinstalling, but it still would not print to pdf.  Someone advised using the "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool (AdbeArCleaner_v2.exe) to completely remove the installation.  I foolishly failed to notice that this utility was for stand-alone installs only, not one part of Creative Cloud.  It removed Acrobat from my computer, but it shows as still installed via Creative Cloud, and I can't download another copy to reinstall.  (I haven't tried to install Acrobat as a stand-alone download trial as offered elsewhere, but assumed in my case I have to use a Creative Cloud version for whatever reason.  At this point, the safest thing to do may be to uninstall the whole thing, then reinstall it, but when I uninstalled CC via the add/remove in Conrol Panel, Photoshop and Illustrator remained behind.  So- I downloaded the CC program once again, hoping by some miracle that might fix things.  No luck.
I am starting to think that the best solution is to completely remove the whole suite, then re-download and reinstall it all over again from scratch.  At this point, I don't want to go any further without some expert advice and risk messing things up any further.    Any help anyone can give is most appreciated.

  • Trying to uninstall Acrobat 10, I get an Error 1316. The specified account already exists

I am a new Creative Cloud Subscriber.  I tried to install Acrobat XI Pro and received an error during the installation.  I contacted support, and they had me uninstall the partial installation of Acrobat XI, and then reboot the machine.
After the reboot I attempted to install Acrobat 11 from a full version that I downloaded from the Adobe website, based on the information provided to me by support.
That did not work and while the software was trying to uninstall Acrobat X I received an Error 1316, and it quit.
Now when I try to remove Acrobat 10, I get the Error 1316 The specified account already exists.
What do I need to do to uninstall Acrobat 10 and Install Acrobat 11.
    EJ

You will need to repair AA X before you can uninstall it. AA XI typically breaks part of prior versions in that removal of AA XI, removes those parts of XI the overwrote parts of X and thus X is broken.

  • Uninstall Acrobat CC XI Silently

    Hi,
I have been able to install Acrobat XI CC successfully using the Cloud Packager and SCCM.
I am tried to create an uninstall program for it however.
I have not been able to find out how to get this done successfully as remenants of the program are still left to the point SCCM things the program is still installed.
    Cheers,

I am trying to create a deployment that will uninstall Acrobat Pro CC XI.
The package creator creates 2 MSIs that needs to be installed to install the program one of which being the MSI in the exception folder which gets installed via the ExceptionDeployer. This is fine. The program installs (Although it creates 2 items in Add\Remove Programs) and works as expected.
I want to know how to completely remove Acrobat Pro CC XI. Though. I am currently trying to use the below commands however this doesn't appear to work.
    start /wait msiexec.exe /uninstall "Build\Acrobat Pro XI x64.msi" /quiet
    msiexec.exe /uninstall "Exceptions\AcrobatProfessional11.0-mul\AcroPro.msi" /quiet
It does remove both items that appear in Add\Remove Programs except it still shows up when listing installed programs via script as well as still showing up in the Registry.(HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVerison\Uninstall\{5A974FBE-3480-42BA-A2 E8-6A887FC7B6F0}. I have tried to pass the uninstall command "MsiExec.exe /X{5A974FBE-3480-42BA-A2E8-6A887FC7B6F0}". It starts to do something and then appears to reverse the progress bar and end without errors.

  • Uninstalled acrobat and now I can't download it?

Uninstalled acrobat and now I can't download it?
I tired to use acrobat distiller from my downloaded creative cloud distiller application and a license agreement screen came up, but it was blank besides the bottom where it says to accept. So I accepted, but nothing happened --did this a few times until I thought I would uninstall, then reinstall from the application manager -- The manager won't let me download acrobat now since it has already been downloaded? What's up with that?
    THanks!

    Do two things:
On Mac OS X make sure you ran the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro uninstaller from Application > Utilities > Adobe Installers. On Windows uninstall using the Control Panel.
Download and run the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove any traces of Acrobat http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.
You should now be able to install from the Adobe Application Manager (AAM).
For Acrobat, the blank EULA screen is a known issue:
Fix described here: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/known-issues-acrobat-xi-reader.html (see Blank EULA screen)
"Blank EULA screen. Problem: Mac OS only. On launch, a blank EULA screen appears, which cannot be accepted, and Acrobat does not run. This problem can appear if you have any products installed from CCM or from Creative Suite, and you tried installing Acrobat XI from a different source.
Workaround: Launch any other product which is part of the CCM or Creative suite. Then, deactivate it by choosing Help > Deactivate. Quit the application. Then, launch Acrobat and accept the EULA. Then, for the CCM subscription product, launch it and select License This Software to enable the CCM product again. If a CS application, launch it and reactivate it. [3338419]"

  • I want to uninstall Acrobat reader. I got support in the community to access my HD and to send to trash the internet plugs in for PDF viewer, but when I try to download a PDF from internet a black screen appears and preview doesn't open

I want to uninstall Acrobat reader. I got support in the community to access my HD and to send to trash the internet plugs in for PDF viewer, but when I try to download a PDF from internet a black screen appears and preview doesn't open

    Back up all data.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

  • Uninstall Acrobat 9.0.0 Pro from Mac OS

I have just upgraded my OS to Mavericks, which doesn't work with Acrobat 9 Pro, so I've purchased Acrobat XI and installed it. Now I can't get rid of Acrobat 9 Pro. The uninstaller in that folder doesn't work. When I try to open it, the uninstaller that came with Acrobat XI opens instead and can't "see" the Acrobat 9 folder or app so I can't use it to uninstall 9.
If I need to do a manual uninstall, what files other than the ones in the Acrobat 9 Pro folder in the Applications folder do I need to remove?

    Hi Carolyn,
Please check the doc: http://www.project-insomnia.com/wp/2009/07/22/manually-uninstalling-adobe-acrobat-reader-9 -on-mac-os-x-leopard/
You might want to uninstall Acrobat 11 first and then manually remove Acrobat 9 files as you might inadvertently remove Acrobat 11 files while trying to manually remove Acrobat 9 files.
Both the application share the same folders to save the files and related preferences.

  • How to uninstall Acrobat X on a Mac which now has Acrobat XI.

  • Acrobat Pro 9 & XI both installed on Mac. How can I uninstall Acrobat Pro 9 & not affect Acrobat XI?

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Pro XI are installed on the same iMac with OS X 10.8.5.  How do I safely uninstall only Acrobat Pro 9 without affecting Acrobat Pro XI?
When I first installed Acrobat Pro XI, I thought maybe I was suppose to leave Acrobat Pro 9 on my computer.
So now I have both Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Pro 11 installed.
I see no benefit to having both installed. I want to uninstall only the Acrobat Pro 9 and not Acrobat Pro XI.
I am not sure that I can safely uninstall Acrobat Pro 9 without affecting the functioning and files for Acrobat Pro XI.
I started to uninstall Acrobat 9, but I stopped when I saw a warning in a little window.
I went to the  "Acrobat Uninstaller.app"  file in the  "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro"  folder and double clicked it.
The Acrobat folder for Acrobat XI Pro came up with the file "Adobe Acrobat Pro.app" selected
I manually selected the  "Adobe Acrobat Pro.app"  file in the  "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro" folder.
When I clicked on "Adobe Acrobat Pro.app" for Acrobat 9  a window with a warning came up. So I stopped.
"Uninstall will remove files, folders, and preferences installed by Acrobat from your system.
There is no undo available. User data files and directories shared by other Adobe applications will not be removed."
Should I go ahead and click [Uninstall]?
I don't think it will delete my pdf files.
Will this affect my Acrobat XI operating &/or preferences? Will Acrobat XI still function correctly?
What do I have to do to safely have just Acrobat XI on my computer without Acrobat 9?
    Thank you for any help.

I am trying to uninstall, I tried to uninstall, but I got the following message when trying to uninstall: "Invalid Application. The application selected was not a valid Acrobat application for this uninstaller. Please rerun the uninstaller." Acrobat 9 installation suddenly stopped working
    Can you help?

  • Uninstalling Acrobat 7.0 and installing Acrobat XI

I just purchased Acrobat XI, and it came in the mail last night.  I'm trying to install it, but I'm running into a problem - every time I try to install it, it needs me to uninstall Acrobat 7.0.  I go through the steps for that, everything seems to have gone fine, and then it asks me to restart my computer.  When I restart, everything goes well until I type in my password to log into my account.  At that point, the screen goes black, and it never logs me in.  The only way to resolve it is to boot in Safe Mode and restore my system to an earlier point. This only happens when I try to install XI and/or uninstall 7.0.  I need XI for work, so I really need to get this figured out as soon as possible.
I am running on Windows 7.
    Thanks!
    Josh

    Ned,
    Thanks for your quick response.
Will it crash the system or will there just be glitches or inconsistencies in the performance of W8? I’m willing to live with the latter, but definitely not the former.

  • Problems Uninstalling Acrobat 9 pro ...

I was wondering if anyone else was having problems uninstalling Acrobat 9 Pro. I run an IT department and have tried everything that can think of to get the thing uninstalled. Nothing's working, it continuously comes up with errors saying that it can't uninstall, that there is already a newer version of Acrobat installed, or some other random errors. The computer is an "extra"computer, and the cd key for Acrobat 9 Pro is now installed on another machine. All I want to do is take Acrobat 9 off and reinstall Acrobat 8.
    Any suggestions?

Deactivate before uninstalling (unless this is a volume license). Then use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup tool.
