Regular touch pannel such as LG T1710B

Hi Experts,
I have a very easy question for you guys:
I was wondering if it is possible to use "commercial oriented" touch screen such as LG T1710B (http://www.lg.com/za/monitors/lg-T1710B-monitor)
for Labview SCADA purpose. The VI is Modbus related (R/W registers, etc).

If you are asking if a touch screen can be used to interact with a LabVIEW GUI, the answer is yes, assuming the host hardware (PC?) supports the touch screen drivers.

You will need the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module, the LabVIEW Real-Time Module, and the NI-RIO driver for your CompactRIO controller. Since you are using LabVIEW 8.2, use NI-RIO version 2.1 for compatibility.

The iMac does not include touch screen capability.
With an iMac, you can choose between a Magic Mouse or a Magic Trackpad. If you want both, there is an additional cost.

Why is the camera on my ipod touch 5 such low quality?

When I take a photo of something, it is fairly blurry. However, when I tried taking a picture on my brother's IPod, it was able to focus properly and gave me great results! Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hey Snishi, Just be clear, when you took both pictures, are they of the same subject, at the same time and the same light conditions? The iPod does a good job with natural light, full sun, so - so with interior light, florescent lights are the worst. And low light will produce grainy photos. That said, if all is the same but the end result, have you tried going into Settings>General>Reset and tap Reset All Settings. If still no joy, make a full set of backups of all data on this iPod to your computer first, then Restore from Backup, last resort, Restore to New. If a full restore does not resolve, contact your Apple store or Apple Genius Bar set up an appointment to have your iPod evaluated for possible hardware issue. Good luck. Cheers.

White spots on the Twist touch screen issue (pressure point)

Hi,
I purchased the Lenovo Twist two month ago.
Recently, I found three white spots (known as pressure points) on my screen,
so I sent it to the depot for warrant service.
The service center said the white spots were caused by a physical damage such as a strong pressure,
so it could not be covered by warranty and I should pay about $700 to fix it.
I am very careful with my laptop and do not believe the white spots were due to strong pressure.
If they were caused by a regular touching on the screen (since Twist is touch-available screen), it must be manufacturing defect.
Any suggestions for this issue? Or should I just give up and learn to live with them?

If anybody's reading this in the future, DP's advice definitely worked. I hadn't removed the video card originally. When I did, I noticed that it had so much dust in it that the fan wasn't able to operate. Embarrassing. Anyways, I cleaned it out and now the computer's running smoothly. A lot quieter too!

Touch gestures no longer working with newest Yosemite version

Ever since I did the newest Yosemite update a few weeks ago on my 13" early 2011 Macbook Pro the multi-touch gestures such as two finger swipes no longer work. I have been patiently waiting for a new update to fix this but I'm getting impatient.

Regular expressions in Format Definition add-on

I have a question about regular expressions. I am a newbie in regular expressions and I could use some help on this one. I tried some 6 hours, but I can't get solve it myself.
Summary of my problem:
In SAP Business One (patch level 42) it is possible to use bank statement processing. A file (full of regular expressions) is to be selected, so it can match certain criteria to the bank statement file. The bank statement file consists of a certain pattern (look at the attached code snippet).

Image Capture creating zip files instead of regular files

I've been using Image Capture for many years. For some reason, all of a sudden, all my scans are being put into a zip file instead of as a regular file. I'd like to have Image Capture make regular files again such as pdf etc. What do I do?
Does this have anything to do with going to OS Yosemite 10.10?

or get a hold of FindAnyFile or easyfind & search for Growl & Speeddownload & yazsoft - but from all I hear, the uninstaller works fine.
Failing that, Safari's settings plist file isn't in caches
Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.safari.plist
is the place
& if you're still stuck, test & maybe download another browser using a New User Account.

No video through ipod touch remote app?

i've connected my ipod touch to my tv using apple-branded dock and tv cables. for media stored on the touch, i can listen to music and watch video on the tv. when i connect in using remote to my mac mini (i am able to negotiate the 4digit pin so it is connecting), i can listen to my mini's music. when i try to access video, i can hear the audio (i think) but cannot see the video. the problem seems to be isolated to the video playback. this same video plays back on the itunes on my mini so i know that the video is good. the mini is current with all patches via "software update".
any ideas? is it something simple i missed?

The video would be playing back on your Mac mini. Apple Remote is just a remote control, not a media streaming program.
(There are streamers available that specialize in iPhone/iPod touch though, such as DOT.TUNES for example).

Can I re-convert dng files to psd files (or another format that can be used in Adobe Touch)?

I am using LR 4.1, CS6, on a PC running Windows 7. Creative Cloud will accept dng's, but Adobe Touch will not. I'd hate to have to re-save lots of photos one at a time. (I'm not generally all that happy with dng format--it makes some files unreadable elsewhere, and any work done on a dng results in its being saved as a psd anyway.)

1. Proprietary formats such as NEF and CR2 are secret.
2. The universal DNG is an open format.
By all means stick to the raw files produced by your camera if you intend to do your editing in the software provided by your camera manufacturer. If you do all your editing in Adobe software DNG, imho is a better workflow choice.
For archiving purposes I would sooner trust Adobe for future support on DNG than individual camera makers who are known to change their raw formats. Also the benefit of embedded data and no sidecar files, plus fast load data (introduced for DNG’s in Lightroom 4) are clear advantages
If you want to use a tablet with Photoshop Touch tools such as layers, selection tools, adjustments, and filters then a PSD exported from DNG in light room will almost certainly produce an optimum sized file. Tiff will also support layers but the file size will usually be much bigger.

Ipod Touch Recognition Problems...***Different Than Others***

I have seen a bunch of other posts similar to the problem i have but i wanted to post one specifically with my problem.
Ok, when i plug my ipod in it starts to charge like it should and itunes opens up, like it should...But my ipod doesn't show up in itunes and it doesn't show up in My Computer. If anyone can help me with my situation it would be much appreciated. I just want my baby back!

I had the same problem with my iPhone with iTunes 7 and I solved it up by installing iTunes 8.
If your problem remains, you can use an alternative iPod Touch manager such as the one I used before iTunes 8 was released: CopyTrans Manager http://www.copytrans.net/manager.php

Dropped Ipod Touch...

Is a dropped ipod touch(cracked screen) covered under warranty? I am thinking no. If not, where is best place get replaced? Apple vs. 3rd Party?

It your touch shows such damage (dents) it will not be repaired under the Apple warranty. Sorry.

I m trying to build a regular expression in such a way that, the expression should find a list of tags based on the set of names available.
for e.g. I have string array as String names[] = {"txtLastName", "address"}
using above array, the expression must find tag in above html.
So in above case the output should be
<input type="text" name="txtLastName"\>
<textarea name="address" rows="10">
Can somebody suggest how this expression should be build?

I got that you want to parse the HTML file and from the names in the array you want to
get the code those controls.
In that case I think you can use
Find the string
1.which starts with '<' and ends with '>'
2.It must contains your work("txtLastName", "address"....) in double quotes(statring & ending) excatly one.
