Rehearsal view during presentation

Excused my ignorance, but is it possible to run my computer in rehearsal view and have the audience see the full presentation? I would love to see the next event and slide and the notes while the audience sees the full presentation. If this is possible how would I set this up? Thank you very much.

You need the Macbook connected to a second display; either a projector or video monitor/TV.
set up presenter display in:
Keynote > Preferences > Slideshow > Enable Presenter Display
The MacBooks inbuilt screen will show the "Presenter Display" shown below, containing current slide, next slide and presenter notes if required.
The projector or second display will show the full screen Keynote presentation to the viewers.

Does anyone know of an app or website where I can post handouts for my audience to view during my classroom presentation?

The common way to do this is to create PDF files of the handouts and use Preview or Adobe Reader to display.

Keynote View During Projection

I recently purchased a mini-DVI to VGA adapter for my MacBook. When I went to play my presentation, it came up on the projector in Rehearse View. Also, as I went back to the Desktop to try and reopen the application, but that didn't work either. Also, only my background came up, no icons, dock, or anything. Could anyone help me with this? Do I need to change Preferences or Settings? Thanks.

In the Keynote Preferences, under the Slideshow Preferences, and change the display the show is presenting on (Primary or Secondary). This will swap which display shows the Presenter view, and which shows the actual presentation.
Don't worry that you are only getting a background on the projector display -- that is normal. When your Mac is set to Monitor Spanning, your desktop is "extended" as if your screen real estate extends to the second monitor. You won't have put any icons on it, so it none will be there, and the menu bar only appears on the primary display. You can change around which display is primary, and separate which one has the menubar, by going into the OS X Displays Preferences.

not the same as above as your DB client may have a different path
and then restart the services

"choppy" slide transition during presentation

Whenever the slides in my presentation contain charts or graphs, the transition to that slide becomes "choppy" and slow. I press the spacebar to go to the next slide and it lags for about 10 seconds before going to that slide with graphs. Other times, when I use more dramatic transitions, it simply becomes "choppy". Why does it hang during presentation, and how can i fix it?

Ok, try copying passing the chart through preview to change it from something that needs to be calculated on the fly to something that is JUST a chart. (First, be sure to save off your original presentation so that if you need to change some values, you can do that easily).
With this backup presentation, select the chart, Copy, Open Preview, Do Command-N, Copy, then paste back into Keynote over the other chart. Delete the original chart and then try the presentation like that. If it works better, then just keep that as a separate "presenting" document, making updates as needed from your original.

Private browsing basically prevents any data from being stored in your Profile folder. [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Private%20Browsing This] article provides more details.
Please note that cookies '''are '''created during a private browsing session. However, they are deleted once the session is ended or when you exit Firefox application.
Also note that other applications on your computer might be tracking which sites you visit (firewall, antivirus etc). They will still be able to collect your browsing related data even if you have activated private browsing in Firefox.

Problems when i am viewing ppt presentation-no music

When i open a power point presentation through keynotes it opens correctly. The problem is that i cannot hear any music on the presentation, when it is supposed that i should hear music while i am viewing the presentation. Can anyone help me?

Options:
Ask who ever sent you the PPt if they can send the sound separatly.
The only way to extract a sound file from PPT is to open the PPt file in Powerpoint and save as a webpage. The sound file will be in the folder thats created. Then place the sound file in Keynote.
You need Powerpoint to do this either on a Windows or Mac, if you dont have PPt for Mac or have a PC, I'm sure you will find a colleague to help you out.

DVDSP Help - Video not playing in Viewer during some assets, only audio...

Video not playing in Viewer during some assets, only audio until paused. once you hit the space bar or pause, the video shows up in viewer? same results when burnd to disc.
when dragging cursor through out timeline (track 1) video shows up in viewer fine too.
any advice on what could be wrong?
at first i was thinking this was a memory problem, i added another Gig of ram and the problem still exhists.

It's a kind of bug in DVDSP Simulator. If you build your project in your hard drive and test it with DVD Player all video will play fine.
I would like to tell you where exactly the problem is located, but it's just a Simulator problem.
Try building your project.

Is it possible to view keynote presentations on AppleTV? I know one way to do it would be to convert the slides to images and view the show that way. I want to know if you can view the keynote presentation on AppleTV as it was created on your MAC?

No that's not possible.
You could probably output a movie of the presentation and play that.

Trouble viewing pptx presentation view with Macbook

Can't view in Presenter view on my EPSON EB-X120 (about 6 months old) using my MacBook - it will only mirror. I have selected Presenter mode in PowerPoint.

Try playing at a lower resolution if that option is available (for example, in youtube the controls are in the lower right of the video window). Some sites, particularly youtube, seem to have problems playing some (not all) videos at 720p and 1080p.

Problems viewing Breeze presentations

I have prepared a number of breeze presentations using Breeze
5. I have heard from some individuals that when they try and view
the presentation, their computer freezes. This problem occurs for

I have learned a little more about this problem since I first

The video plays, then stops for a few seconds, then resumes.
It is almost like the browser is pausing to look ahead and capture
video, and then play it. The pause can be 15-20 seconds in length

Dell Optiplex GX620 with a 3 ghz pentium processor running
windows XP. It is running on the backbone at our university. The
problem exists in both Firefox and Explorer

Presenter View During Live Events In Show and Share

Hi,
I am a bit confused about the user authorisation during live events of Show and Share. There is a user who is creating the event and publishing it. I think this user should be the moderator. He can see the questions tab and check the questions coming from the other participants and send them to the presenter view tab.
I have found some information about the moderator and presenter in the user guide for show and share but I could not find out which user can be a presenter, or are the presenter and the moderator the same user or not.
Below is from user guide:
The live event moderator pre-screens these incoming questions and comments as they arrive. Moderators can:
• Move any high-priority questions to the Presenter’s View tab. • Move any low-priority questions to the Removed Questions tab, either manually or automatically by keyword. • Use keyword filters to see and manage only the messages that match those keywords.
. The presenter then responds to any number of these pre-screened questions and comments. (These are messages that the moderator moved to the Presenter’s View tab.)
From the above information, it seems that there are seperate presenter and moderator, but is there a way to assign a user other than moderator only the presenter rights?

Great question, Ken! I too would like to know if there is a way to transfer video content management to an other author. In the case that a user publishes content and later leaves the company, retaining control of the published material is a requirement.

How to view presentar notes during presentation?

I have entered notes for each slides but when i play the presentation i don't see any presenter's notes. Why is that?

Are you using two displays? Presenter notes only appear on the Presenter Display, which is set up in the Keynote Preferences.

Bey you have have an MS Exchange account on the iPad (through your work) and they are limiting the options you have (disabling 1, 3, 4 & Never).
Try this...
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select the Exchange account then set it Off.
Go to Settings > General > Auto-Lock and you should see all options.
Set it to what you want.
Then turn on the Exchange account.
The Auto-Lock settings should stay.
However, if you go back and view the Auto-Lock settings, it will change back toonly 2 and 5.
