Reign-Pro free tape saturation plug-in

Try this new company's free tape saturation plug. It's good, especially bass and kick. They are making some nice tape emulation based on impulse responses. The plugins sound better than ColorTone, the other major IR based emulation. I did an A/B on them and Reign-Pro just sounds better. I've bought their ProPack and their Big Hurk. Here's the link:

Big Hurk is my favorite and probably the biggest bang for the buck if you're looking for a tape-like thickening. They've got demos. This is NOT like Massey's tapehead. It doesn't distort or splatter in a pleasant way like overdriven tape. What Reign is doing that I haven't heard anybody else do (Airwindows, DUY, Virsyn, Tritone Digital, etc) is create the tape-like "presence" for lack of a better word. I think all their plugs default to 64-bit internal processing, but you should check by clicking on the "controls" view in the plugin itself where you can select 32 or 64 bit modes. They sound really good in 64 bit mode.

Go to the Music section of your Library (very top-left corner) and see if your songs are there. The "Purchased" playlist may have been deleted or gotten corrupted, but if that happens it's not a big deal because your music should still be in your main Music Library.
If your music is NOT in the Music section of your Library, then go to the iTunes Store homepage and find the Quick Links list on the right side. At the top of that list, click Purchased and you can redownload all of your previous content that you might have lost.

Got a new Macbook Pro today and I plugged in my WD external hard drive to backup with but it didn't allow me to backup.

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro free trial won't launch, claiming no Internet connection

Hi,
I wondered if anyone could help me solve this mystery: I am trying to launch the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro free trial. Sign In is required to use the trial. But when I click on "Sign in now", I get the message "Please connect to the Internet and retry". Which is strange, because my Internet connection is active and stable. The same panel hints that my clock might be at fault (but it is correct). I am running Windows 7, no earlier version of Adobe Acrobat installed. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have on how I can resolve this riddle.

Thank you for answering and suggesting ways to remedy my problem. I tried all the four actions you made me aware of, but although everything seems to be all right, I still cannot launch Acrobat XI in the trial version. The only little hickup came when accessing Adobe's secure site, which prompted this message:
But when I later checked the certificate, it seemed to be installed and enabled. I am no expert, but it looked like it should according to step 4 under http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-i ssues.html

I used to use virtual photographer from http://www.optikvervelabs.com/
It doesn't offer all the controls as other photo-effect plugins, but you get some good (or at least interesting) results and the price is right!
I don't know anything about it, but this site has links to a number of free plug-ins. http://www.thepluginsite.com/resources/freeps.htm I can't recommend however.

Some free tapes are not used by backup job - dpm 2012 r2

Hi,
I have DPM 2012 R2 with IBM TotalStorage 3572 tape library. It is 8 slot tape library. All was working with initial 8 tapes I added to tape library. I had one Protection group to be archived on 8 tapes. I was doing Daily and weekly backups. Every 2nd week
I would do a weekly backup and keep it for 2 weeks i.e. I need 2 tapes for weekly backups. All was working ok until I introduced two new weekly tapes as a replacement for 2 weekly tapes in library. Because of disaster recovery procedure - I have to take
weekly tapes out of library and store them in disaster recovery location for some time. So I pulled out 2 weekly tapes and added 2 new tapes. New tapes were marked free and they are showing as Free tapes.
Now - the trouble is that these 2 free tapes are not used by backup job and instead - backup job writes weekly backup on any of the available Daily tapes (like from 4-5 days ago) instead of using one of the Free tapes that are available.
I'd like the backup job (Protection group) to use Free tapes first and only if there are no available free tapes - to go and do backup on Daily tape or ask for a free tape.
I am probably doing something wrong here - so I would really appriciate if anyone can help me with this? Any ideas?

What update rollup are you running on the DPM 2012 R2 server ? DPM 2012 R2 UR5 introduced a new refresh feature that will re-enumerate data sources on an individual protected server.
Check for VSS errors inside the guests that are having problems being backed up.

I downloaded a plug-in from Noise Industries recently:

It is part of an FXFactoryFreebie pack and I found is fabulously easy to use and a great deal of fun, thoughtfully and beautifully engineered, just, I might add, as it is with those of their other products I have tried.
I think perhaps the title may have put people off, and if you were deterred, stay with me for a few seconds.

I am wondering if some glanced at this and thought, "Oh, pooh, they already made that movie. I am not into sci-fi, even tho I could certainly do a better job than that Lucas guy." A natural thought. I thought it myself.
However.
I used that slanting back and away rolling script for the opening of a family movie with my house standing in for Tara. ( It is nothing like Tara; it is a four bedroom house with a creek in back, standing on a slope overlooking the mortgage.)
Then I noticed something. The rolling script can be changed so that it runs absolutely vertically. Switch to some neat white fonts and you have a rolling opening title. Put it at the end of your movie and you have a fine looking credit scroll. You could insert expository text in the middle. (When the police arrested Blenkinsop it dawned on him that using a machete on his employer in front of 20 witnesses may have been a tad indiscreet.)
Boris has a fine rolling scroll, and there are others. I found this one very easy and pleasant to use and so I prefer it.
If you don't have it, take a look at it, and while you are there, eyeball their free Ken Burns plug-in, too.

also, make certain your Mac OS X software is completely up-to-date. There is a Trojan Horse that pretended to be a Flash update, and installed Flash with malware included. The latest security updates removes the malware and all older versions.

Macbook Pro Freezes When USB Plugged In

Just like the title says, my Mid 2012 Macbook Pro 13 running 10.8.2 freezes for an averge of 15 seconds whenever I plug anything into the USB ports. It varies depending on what is plugged in. Phones, both iPhone and Android make it freeze for about 15 seconds, USB drives are usually just a couple seconds. I dont even know where to begin when trouble shooting this. Any ideas? I have the same problem with my MacBook Pro. When I plug in any usb device I get a short freeze of the pc for about 5 seconds. During my tests, I noticed that the freezing starts from the first time that i move the touchpad. It means that if I plug the usb device and I move the touchpad after 30 seconds, I get the freazing from that time for 5 seconds. if I continue to move the touchpad while I plug in the usb I don't get any freeze. Moreover, I noticed that if in the meantime that I plug in the usb I move the touchpad without any interruption, I don't get any freezing.
I don't know if the problem could be related to the touchpad or not... Help!!!

What the other users have said is correct. Premiere captures through FireWire or through SDI/HDMI via a 3rd party solution.
For your situation I would say the best bet is to connect you camera to your computer via USB or use a card reader and copy the entire directory to your hard drive and ingest into Premiere via Media Browser.
If you Google 'how to make stop motion in premiere pro' there are tons of great tutorials.

You can contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and explain your situation to them.
BTW, this forum is for questions about iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. Normally you want to ask your questions in the general iTunes forums.
