Hi Umesh,
You need to maintain the BADI---HRPBSIN_ADV_REIMB_TYP
Enhancement SPOT -
HRPBSINCLAIMS
This will take care of the eligibility.

  • Problems with Customer Service AND unexplained charges!

I've been with Verizon for I-don't-know-how-many years, and through the years you are bound to have a few problems here and there but some of the problems are just ridiculous! It's also the same reocurring problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was with Alltel first, before it was bought out by Verizon. The years I was with Alltel, I didn't have near as many problems. It seems EVERY time I do the smallest change or something to my phone or bill, I get a ridiculous amount of charges that I was NOT aware of, nor told about... EVEN IF I ask "So this isn't going to change my bill, or there will not be any unexpected/unexplained charges that I don't know about?"... BUT not matter how many times I ask... and NO matter how many times I am told "no"... there always is. For example.... last year, I updated and signed a new 2 year contract and purchased the first Driod. Before, my 30 day warranty was up, I was having problems with my Driod, and decided to send it in and get a new one. Before I did this.. I called customer service to make sure there would be no interuption in my bill, and there wouldn't be any unexpect charges, and there would be no difference in anything. I was told there was not, and once I recieved my new phone, just send it in and nothing would be changed. Of course, when I get my bill.. I see I was charged $500 for the new phone. It was explained to me that my credit card was reimbursed (which I never check that card, because I never used it expect to purchase the phone) and that I was recharged for the new phone, since it was a new phone. So I had to fork out the $500 (on top of my bill) and then wait months to get the $100 rebate card. Months after that, I "assumed liablity of my line" because I was on a plan with my family. I decided to have my own line, so I "assumed liability." I was not told that when I did that, I "renewed" my contract date. So I just added 6 more months to my 2 year contract. Was NOT told about that! Then again...... I was recently having problems with my Driod (the screen went black and would not come back on.) I had to turn on an OLD motorola razor, so I would not be without a phone for two days while I was waiting on my phone to come in. As soon as my phone came in, I had my Droid turned back on. I recieved my bill recently, and my bill was $200 over what it normally should be.... so I called in... apparently, when I had my phone replaced, they dropped off my data package and when I recieved my replacement driod, they never put it back on. So I was being charged for alllll my data usage... again I was NOT told about this. I wasn't even aware that they had dropped off my data package, and when/where did they get the authority to do that??? These are just a FEW of the problems that I have had.................................
Does anyone have these reoccuring problems!?

I understand that my bill can be viewed online, and I do view it fairly regularly, so if there are any unexplained charges, I can call Verizon asap. The problem does not come from me not understanding my bill, but from customer service. I have been with Verizon for a very long time, and it is a continuing problem. Where did Verizon get the 'OK' to drop my data package off my plan? Who authorized that?
After calling Verizon and trying to find out the problem, the gentleman told me that when I activated on old phone while I was waiting on my new Droid to arrive, my data package was dropped off and I "should" have been told about that. When I reactiviated my new Droid, I "should" have called and had them restart my data package. I was not aware that when you activate an old phone that data plan is taken off your plan. In all my years of having cell phones, I never make two years with one phone. I have always, at one point, had to turn on an old phone, and my data package has NEVER changed. Why would I have my data package dropped and why would I have to call Verizon to have it restarted. I would never know to do that unless I was TOLD that my data packaged HAD to be re-added when I recieved my new phone, but I was never told of that.
All of that is beside the point, the point is, Verizon was never given the authorization to change my plan. Never. My bill was taken care of and readjusted, and I am thankful for that. It does not change the fact it is always a hassle with Verizon Customer Service and I am always the one having to PROVE that I am not at fault, or that I was NEVER told of certian things. EVERY TIME I HAVE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, I AM TOLD "I'M SORRY, THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT."
"they should" does not help my bill with the extra armount of charges.

  • I  spend good money for my iPhone i have the iPhone 5 with the new charger slot which is smaller. I have been through at least 3 charging cords and this is not acceptable to me. i never had a problem with this on my older phone. apple needs to correct tho

I  spend good money for my iPhone i have the iPhone 5 with the new charger slot which is smaller. I have been through at least 3 charging cords and this is not acceptable to me. i never had a problem with this on my older phone. apple needs to correct this and reimburse me for this cord.

Charging cords are covered by the iPhone warranty or their own warranty
if puchased separately. Take your iPhone and the cords to your local
Apple store for evaluation and possible replacement.

  • Having some problems with links

OK, I've used this way of doing this for a while, but recently I started having trouble with getting this to work.
I have a site with a link to the organization's current newsletter.  I have a "previous page" link so that you can go back to the page you came from in the main site.  The newsletter opens up in it's own blank page.  This link no longer works and I have no idea why.
This is the code that is supposed to make this link work:  <a href="javascript:history.go(-1);">Previous Page</a>
The second part of the problem involves the left sidebar links which are named achor links for within the newsletter page.  In the newsletter there are usually Program Recap articles which usually include a link to a separate page of event photos.  The page has the same sidebar links to the named anchors.  I used to be able to have these go back to the newsletter page to that named anchor.  But now I can't seem to make them work.
What I've done in the past is to link back to the newsletter and at the end of this link to the page add the named anchor link like this:
    1112Visions_Iss1.html/#prezmessage
Sometimes this works and sometimes not.  The problems don't end there.  Some of these links render the newsletter page with the photos some of the links go to a page that doesn't show the links.  At this point I have re-done all of the links, I have rebooted both Dreamweaver and Firefox and it just keeps doing the same thing.  I'm just baffled by this.
I'll post the code for both pages in the hopes that someone can tell me what is not right and how to make this work.
Here is the code for the newsletter's main page:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

        <p><strong><img src="../images/Susan-Flaherty-photo.jpg" alt="Susan Flaherty" width="145" height="159" class="fltlft" />Dear Fellow HFMA Members,</strong></p>
<p>Welcome to the 2011-2012 HFMA fiscal year. Thank you for your continued membership and support of HFMA.  I look forward to working with the members, the board of directors, and officers during the upcoming year to continue the success of the Northeast Ohio Chapter.  </p>
<p>Speaking of success – I attended the HFMA Annual National Institute in June 2011 and was proud to be from the Northeast Ohio Chapter. Our Chapter won three awards – Gold Award for Membership Growth and Retention, Hottum Award for Education Performance Improvement, and a Yerger Special <img src="../images/Manfull_ANI_DSC_0027.jpg" width="200" height="200" align="top" class="fltrt" />Recognition Award for the February 2011 Patient Financial Services Program.  In addition, the Northeast Ohio Chapter had two of the three winners of the National HFMA Future Financial Leaders Award. The award recognizes those future leaders who provide innovative and exemplary performance resulting in organizational performance improvement. Congratulations to Jill Barber and Kelly Linson from Southwest Community Health System for receiving this award. Finally, as many of you know, National HFMA has performance targets relating to education, membership, certification, financial strength, and other matters for all chapters. Our Chapter achieved 100% during this last fiscal year in meeting these targets. While it is important to celebrate our past successes, I and the other chapter leaders realize that we are taking on a big responsibility to maintain this level of excellence. We will need the continued support and participation of the membership to ensure we continue to achieve this level of success.</p>
<p>As part of planning for the upcoming year, the Chapter officers had the opportunity to meet the National HFMA Chair, Gregory M. Adams, FHFMA. His theme for the fiscal year is “Believe to Achieve.” Following is an excerpt of his comments and explanation of the theme. In health care today, it sometimes seems like we are being asked to do the impossible. The industry is preparing for an influx of millions of newly insured patients in a reform environment where payments are shrinking and expectations around quality are growing. &quot;Believe to Achieve&quot; encompasses the keys to success in this new environment. It reflects the need to believe in your organization's mission and in others who share your dedication to achieving that mission. It means believing in yourself and in your ability to step out of your comfort zone into the new roles and responsibilities required to succeed in the reform era. Last but not least, it means believing in the possibility of a better future. In health care, there have always been naysayers who believe that the problems of the day are just too difficult to overcome. Their voices have been particularly loud, of late. But you can choose to believe that a better future is within reach, and to dedicate your professional life to making that happen. You can only achieve what you believe. </p>
<p>Finally, I want to thank all of you who volunteered your time to Chapter activities over the past year. The fact that you chose to devote part of your time to HFMA indicates the value you perceive in your membership. The strength of any chapter lies in its volunteers. I hope you are able to attend the annual volunteer appreciation outing on August 31, 2011 to celebrate the successes of our Chapter, hear presentations on relevant industry topics, and enjoy a networking round of golf or visit to the spa. We are always looking for members to get involved and continue the long tradition of volunteer service that has been a hallmark of our Chapter for many years. Please don't hesitate to contact me, one of the other Chapter officers or directors, or a committee chair if you are interested in volunteering. </p>
I look forward to a great year and hope to see you at an upcoming HFMA event.
    <p>Sincerely,</p>
    <p>Susan Flaherty<br />

<p>The North East Ohio Chapter (NEOC) of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) continues to encourage members to pursue and achieve certification as a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).  </p>
<p>Many members who successfully pass the exam are eligible for reimbursement from their employers for some portion of the examination fee and/or on-line study material fee. To encourage and assist those members for whom employer reimbursement is not available, the Chapter offers a limited financial award program through the Chair of the Certification Committee. <br />
      <br />
      <strong>Current CHFP Award Program</strong> <br />
Effective June 1, 2011, the NEO HFMA Chapter Board has approved annual funding for a maximum of 5 awards of $200.00 each for successful completion of the CHFP exam.  NEO HFMA members who have successfully completed the CHFP exam on or after June 1, 2011 and who will NOT be reimbursed by their employer for any portion of either the examination fee and/or the online study material fee are eligible to apply.  Chapter awards will be issued to the first 5 approved applications.</p>
    <p><strong>Reimbursement Application Procedure </strong> <br />
Upon successful completion of the CHFP exam, a member who will NOT be reimbursed by their employer for any portion of either the examination fee or the on-line study materials may complete and submit an NEO HFMA expense form in application for a financial award.<em>  </em>A copy of the exam result e-mail notification and a release authorizing HFMA National to confirm that the member has passed the exam is required. Application for the award must be made within 8 weeks of receiving exam results. The funds allocated to members will be reviewed annually and is subject to change at the discretion of the Chapter board. </p>

        <p><span class="style24">by </span>Lisa Hilling    <span class="style24"><br />
          </span></p>
<p>The 2011 GHALI was held at the Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio. This historic and tradition filled site, initally started as a seminary high school for boys preparing for the priesthood.  In addition, this classic gothic building was built during the years 1930-1931 with the first class starting in late October of 1931. The building contains approximately 167,000 square feet. The Wolstein family purchased the 381 acres of land and building in 1989 that many considered to be one of the most desirable tracts in Stark County.  After two years of renovation, the spa portion of the club opened in December of 1991. On July 1, 1992 Jack Nicklaus took part in the gala celebration which opened the golf course. The Grand Opening of the Clubhouse in September of 1992 followed.<br />
          <br />
Our theme for this year’s event was “Entering the Era of Accountability”.  As a result, the conference included educational sessions led by healthcare industry leaders and a variety of pertinent topics. Highlights included a panel discussion, “How Organizations Develop Vendor Relationships” for which there was standing room only attendance as well as sessions led by prominent professors, politicians and other professionals. Attendees were given opportunities to research products and services present at the vendor booths during vendor fair times and throughout the 2 ½ days. In keeping with tradition, the networking opportunities were abundant, starting out with Wednesday’s always very popular casino night. Thursday’s networking events included your choice of an 18 hole golf scramble, a visit to “The Spa at Glenmoor” or a enjoyable wine tasting event followed by an evening banquet which enable our attendee to sample more of Glenmoor’s fine cuisine. We concluded that evenings events with music, Texas Hold-em and “minute to win-it” activities, as well as entertaining karaoke by our members. <br />
          <br />
Special thanks to everyone who participated on the GHALI Planning Committee for a job well done. The planning for next year is already underway and we welcome your input. Please make sure to watch for details of next year’s conference so you won’t miss out on everything this event has to offer.</p>

Because I know enough to be dangerous...  I was trying to extend the two outside columns down....  Instead of just using faux columns which I have fixed since I posted the question.
The other link problem is the left sidebar links.  When you go to the event photos page I have a repeat of the sidebar links that are on the newsletter page.  I used named anchors on the newsletter page to link to the particular article.  From the Event Photos page the links look like this:
    <a href="1112Visions_Iss1.html/#puzzle" target="_self">[Puzzle]</a>
The problem I am having is that some of these go to the newsletter page and the anchor and some do not (I get an error message saying it  can't find the page).  To add to the problem is that when we choose say the President's Message, when it goes to the newsletter page and the correct anchor, the newsletter page is missing all the links to the graphics... the photos are missing the graphic for the faux columns is missing.  It makes no sense.  When I preview the newsletter page from Dreamweaver everything shows up fine.
I do not know if all of this is being caused because I haven't posted this stuff to the site or what.  I've tried re-booting both the browser and Dreamweaver, dumping the cache and still the same nonsense.
    Got any ideas?

  • Serial number problem with CS6

This morning, after running for over a year, the serial number that came with the copy of CS6 that I bought last August stopped working. I got an "invalid serial number error" and that was the end of CS6. I tried getting help from Adobe, but to no avail. The website was full of deadends or irrelevant pages. When I finally got into the chat cue, and I still don't know how I found it because I haven't been able to find it again, after an hour of waiting I had to go to work. With only 9 other people in line ahead of me.
So I've uninstalled and reinstalled CS6 twice, but it keeps telling me I have an invalid serial number. It is the serial number I registered with Adobe last year and that has worked since then. It is the same number that shows up when I look up "installed products" in my AdobeID account. Regardless, it is now inexplicably invalid. I found a post suggesting I run CC Cleaner. I did it--twice. I also adjusted file folder permissions on the Adobe program folder based on someone else's advice, but neither solved anything.
My impression is that it isn't an installation problem but that due to a mistake on Adobe's end, maybe due to an Adobe or MS auto update, my serial number now really is invalid, though it is paid for. This would mean there is nothing wrong with my installation, but just the serial number. With that in mind, and also that I don't want to deal with the aggravation any longer, I bit the bullet and bought...another copy of CS6. That's right, I will have paid twice for one copy because of a problem that is likely Adobe's fault. Congratulations Adobe! I came onto this forum so I could get an answer to the following question: who do I send the bill to? Who at Adobe reimburses their users when this kind of thing happens? If customer support had been better I might have been willing to hang in there while waiting for a fix, but it is obvious that none of the options available are made to assist customers so much as to drive them away. If I had known of an alternative software that could replace PS, Illustrator, and InDesign, I would have bought it instead.
    AP

I know I won't get reimbursed, the question was rhetorical.
I bought the software through my university supplier of all our software, so it is legit. The point is that I paid for it, I should be able to use it. If it doesn't work, there should be a way to tell Adobe. I wouldn't be angry about it now if not for the fact I couldn't even send the information to Adobe.
This same thing happened with my copy of IBM SPSS and QVR's nVivo X10 software. The problem is that the way these software keys are installed happens to be very sensitive to system changes or even updates on the other end, at the developer's servers that maintain licenses. I understand why they have the keys, but the way they are implemented ruins the user experience for me. When I spend about two weeks every year fixing software glitches like this, that's my whole Christmas vacation , they need to improve the software because it is becoming more trouble than it is worth.
I wish there was a competitor for Adobe because I would love to spend my money there, even if it costs more, just to switch to another application and remind Adobe that their monopoly on the market could crumble if the customer experience starts going south.

  • Apple customer support problem 1st gen Time Capsule

Not sure there is any real point to this since Apple doesnt seem to really engage in these forums.  However, I recently had a 1st gen. Time Capsule die per the well-documented power supply failure problem.  After some prodding I was able to get Apple to replace the unit though it was a handful of days out of the replacement window.
Unfortunately the Apple  "genius" did not include my full business address on the shipping label and the unit has been in Fed-Ex limbo for nearly a week.  I have of course since provided Fed-Ex with the full address of my company office.  However, they will not revise the shipment info without Apple's authorization. I have left 4 voicemails for the Apple "genius" requesting they update my address so the unit can be delivered.  So far nothing, nada, zip... I'm glad my own staff are merely engineers, not geniuses.
To add massive insult to injury, today I received a reminder email from Apple that they have a $500 hold on my credit card and have not received the defective unit back.   Really? no sh*t!  I've not received the replacement unit or return label due to Apple's negligence...hello...welcome to automated email ****.  Of course, there is no reply address ANYWHERE to be found on Apple's website.
So, I'm sitting here with a dead network, $500 balloons on my credit card and no way to correct the delivery address on the replacement TC.
    Hey Apple, ***?
This is not the Apple I know and love.  If I wanted Dell quality service I'd have saved the money and bought a Dell.  I hope this is not the start of a long slow slide back into the Apple of the 1990s.

Agreed that an outright trainwreck such as this is atypical.  However, I am noticing an overall steady decline in customer service at the local Apple stores as well.  The "geniuses" at the Pleasanton Apple store are downright rude and unhelpful.  That is why I even bothered with phone support this time.
I think the phone support attitude is what started me off on the wrong foot.  This unit has a well documented power supply defect for which Apple issued a TSB and even reimbursed people who had to replace the unit due to the power supply failure.  When mine failed, I was actually told by the front line genius - "well, it lasted 2 years, that's pretty good".   That is a Dell/Gateway/Compaq/General Motors attitude.   A $500 router should last more than 2 years.  Cisco enterprise level routers last forever.  Several years ago the white iMacs had a power supply problem.  Mine failed 4 years after purchase and Apple cheerfully fixed it without question or issue.  They had it back to me in less than a week.
My expectations for support are commensurate with the price of Apple's products.  It is a luxury high-end brand. For perspective: This router costs more than a complete Gateway desktop computer system.
When you buy a BMW you expect a certain level of service, When you buy a GM expectations are lowered along with the price of entry. I don't expect to ever have to chase down keystone cop problems like this.  My time is far too valuable for that.  This is why I buy Apple computers and not Gateway computers.
Is it typical? maybe not.  Is it foreshadowing what is to come now that the company is back in the hands of the bean counters that nearly ran it into the ground last time?   Maybe.

  • TimeCapsule - Wifi Iphone4, IPad2 and HP Printer 7510 problems

    Time Capsule Issues
    -------- Symptom :
    - HP Printer 7510 or IPhone4 cannot connect on the WIfi,
    - iPad2 experiments network connection breakouts requiring sometimes a network reinitialization.
At the same time, on the same network, an iMac, 2x MacBookPro, an IPad3 and a Sony Bravia TV do not experiment any kind of Wifi network connection problem.
All network connection problems disappear as soon as I replace my TimeCapsule by my old D-Link Dir-635 router, and do directly reappear as soon as I put my TimeCapsule back.
-------- What has been already tried out ?
    - IPhone4
A complete reinstallation from scratch does not change the problem. I cannot connect on my Wifi network through my TimeCapsule.
Important Note : Replacing my TimeCapsule by my old D-Link Dir-635 router does solve the problem as my IPhone4 can connect without any problem.
    - HP Printer 7510
A complete factory reinitialization through hidden user menu did not change the problem.
A network without security setting did not change the problem.
Changing settings from WPA/WPA 2 to WPA2 Personal did not change the problem.
Note: The HP printer has been taken back by AppleStore and I will be reimbursed as it didn't worked
Important Note: Replacing my TimeCapsule by my old D-Link Dir-635 router does solve the problem as my HP Printer can connect without any problem.
    - IPad2 vs IPad3
The IPad2 could not connect on TimeCapsule without going first through a network reinitialization.
From now on, I see connection interruptions from my IPad2 while not on my IPad3
I noticed this by listening to the same Internet radio on both IPad at the same time.
The stream on the IPad3 does not suffer from any network connection breakouts, while at the same time my IPad2 does.
Sometimes it comes back on the IPad2 without doing anything. Sometimes I need to go through a network reinitialization through the General - Reinitialization menu to connect back to my TimeCapsule.
Important Note : Replacing my TimeCapsule by my old D-Link Dir-635 router does solve the problem as my IPad2 can connect without any problem and without any connection breakouts.

After reading other people discussions in here, it seems the latest TimeCapsule software 7.6.1 could be the problem. Many people suggest to downgrade to 7.5.2
I would like to give a try but not being an expert in Apple at all (I'm a simple dummy user), it would be kind to receive a help on how to do so.
    - Where to find the software ? (I dont have any CD, not used of the terms Lion, ...)
    - How to install it on my new TimeCapsule ?
    - Will the old software version run with the latest TimeCapsule hardware ?
I'm willing to give a try and post the results in here to see if my current problems dissappear. If so, I will then purchase back the HP printer and give another try and keep this community informed.
    Thanks in advance

  • I was just told ML could not be installed because apple HD is broken and could not be repaired. I never had any problem ever to suggest a broken HD, on my 2 yr. old mac pro. 10.6.8. Any one else having this problem? Will I get a refund,  if so how?

I have a 2009 MAC PRO 10.6.8. Had never had any problems. Tried installing Mountain Lion today. Was told, " Mountain Lion could not be installed because Hard Disk is broken"!
Is it because HD is broken or perhaps incompatible? Has any one else had this problem? I had no symptoms suggestive of a broken HD. Will I get reimbursed if ML could not be installed? If so what do I have to do?
How can I verify the status of the HD, in absence of symptoms for my own information?

The solution to your problem is rather simple
1: Get a external hard drive and use Disk Utility to format it with a GUID partition map and OS X extended Journaled.
2: Export your browser bookmarks and any other needed data to a file,. Copy your User data folders of Music, Pictures etc over to the external  drive via drag and drop copy methods, disconnect the drive.
I don't advise using TimeMachine at this point since your boot drive is messed up, thus so will be your TM drive, just transfering the problem later on back to the new install. We are proceeding with a "Fresh install" method to eliminate as many issues as possible which a TM restore can return to a new OS X install.
3: Next you will need to follow these instructions to zero erase (important) and install 10.6 fresh, use the same named account (different password ok)
How to erase and install Snow Leopard 10.6
4: Before you return files or install programs, Software Update fully and use the AppStore to install 10.8, this way it will be on a fresh 10.6 install, free of issues.
5: Install any and all 10.8 compatible programs as much as possible before returning your User files, this is a performance measure.
If you need too, use this site to find one's that are 10.8 compatible.
    http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
6: Last install your user files from the external drive backup into their respective Music, Pictures, Movies etc., folders, into the same named accounts so you preserve your iTunes playlists. When you open those programs, they will update their respective support files automatically.

  • My new macbook pro is giving me hardtime. even apple team is not being to solve it. they replace the motherboard first it didn't work. second time they formatted the computer and that also didn't work. every time my mac showing different problems.

my new macbook pro is giving me hardtime. even apple team is not being to solve it. they replace the motherboard first it didn't work. second time they formatted the computer and that also didn't work. every time my mac showing different problems.
At first my computer had issues. Once it go to sleep it will not back again. I dropped my laptop at apple store to fix it. After 10  days they returned my laptop saying they were no able to fix the problem so they replaced motherboard aiming if that might help. Acttually that didn't help.I had same issue again. I visited apple store again. This time they said they could fix, if I will allow them to format the harddrive. I said ok. They formatted it. It was working fine for few daysAfter few days compter is taking.even more than 15 min to shutdown. Now computer has another problem. It is being hang frequently like every 20'to.30 min.
I don't know what to do? I still have one month left on first year warranty. I have requested couple times to apple associates either to fix or replace or refund. They are showing me rude behavior. They are not understanding my situation. I am a student. I need to do lot of home work. Since last three month my mac book and apple associates giving me hard time. Any suggestions are welcome.

Contact Apple Customer Care - not Apple Care - Customer Support. Have your receipts handy and/or case numbers. Be patient, be calm, and tell your story just as you have here. I get the sense you are not in the US and don't have access to an Apple Store but are going to an independent shop. This makes using Customer Support all the more important. If phoning isn't viable, use registered mail.
Since time is running short, be prepared to purchase AppleCare to exennd your warranty 2 more years. Yes, you shouldn't have to do this, but it gives you added protection and more opportunities over the next 2 years to claim a replacement computer if you don't get one immediately. After dealing with a similar unhappy situation with a Mac in the late 1990s I finally got a replacement computer and reimbursed for the AppleCare policy.

  • I refurbished my macbook air 7 months ago because there was a problem with the steady state drive. Now my battery seems to be dead again. How long does the warranty last? Do I need to pay for a new battery?

I refurbished my macbook air 7 months ago because there was a problem with the steady state drive. Now my battery seems to be dead again. How long does the warranty last? Do I need to pay for a new battery?

As I wrote Apple will diagnose an Apple product even if it is out of warranty for free. That should be your first step to find out if the problem is the battery or something else.
Once you have Apple telling you a 7 month old battery is defective (if that turns out to be the case)  then it becomes a game of horse trading. You'll need to speak to the tech and when he tells you there is nothing he can do you will need to speak to the tech manager and when she says most likely there is nothing they can do you go to the store manager, etc.  It is unlikely (though possible) that they will give in easily you need to be firm, polite and let on that you're willing to accept a partial reimbursement.
So again the first step is to find out what is wrong.
    good luck

  • Installing Soundtrack 3 / Logic Studio Problems.

I just upgraded Logic, from 9 to Studio. When I installed the package, Compressor was 'greyed' out. Soundtrack Pro 3 won't work without it, so I bought Compressor from the App store. Now I have Compressor installed but Soundtrack 3 still doesn't work. Re-installed but no success. Any suggestions and solutions would be most appreciated as I REALLY need Soundtrack Pro 3 for the project I am working on. Thanks!

You need to contact Apple support and explain the situation accurately and carefully. That's what I did and they reimbursed me for the Compressor I purchased and walked me through the solution. It was a while back now; I think there was a version of Compressor I downloaded for fress based on their suggestions... Anyway, everything works fine and although Apple DOE NOT like to give refunds if you are clear about the issue they will know exactly what the problem is and will help out.

  • Problem with u0093Check org Object" in Transaction EC05

    Hi all,
We have created a new distribution channel using transaction EC05 and an existing channel. Everything works fine (at least for now), but when a I try to use the “Check org Object” (still in transaction EC05) on the newly created channel it gives the following error “Errors in foreign key dependencies”, with an error log containing the following entries:

    The list is quite long.
I would like to know what the problem is? Why doesn’t it happen with the channels already customized? And how to solve it? Thank you in advance

    <b>Hi all,
if you have creates the new channel in copy with another (EC05).
verifie if you have the same divisions in both distribution channel.
otherwise. you have to eliminate superfluous divisions.
Then try to use the “Check org Object” in EC05 .
that will solve the problem .</b>

  • HT1657 having problems renting movies on appleTV

We are having problems using our appleTV, earlier today it wouldn't show up on my ipad while watching a podast, we had to watch it form the ipad instead of the TV.
Then we rented a movie from the iTunes store on the appleTV and it told us it would take 16 hours to download and watch it, then it changed to 20 hours and then 23 hours. I am about to take the dog gone unit back and tell them to keep it. This happened earlier last week where we ended up paying twice to watch a movie on both the iPad and appleTV. Thankfully they reimbursed us.  Help !!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.

    Sorry for my poor english
    Andre

The bad part is (and I'm just playing devils advocate here) is that since Apple themselves didn't ship it but your friend did, that can be used as a way for Apple to say "well, how do we know you didn't break it yourself" know what I mean?
If Apple shipped it (again playing devils advocate here) and it arrived that way, then it's DOA and Apple will replace it no problem.
If a person bought it and sent it via UPSExpress, FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc, there has to be some justification that it WAS working prior to shipping and it's the shipping company's fault that it's broke and then it's only (or most of the time) if you bought insurance then the shipping company will reimburse you and/or provide the means to replace it.
Apple I'm sure will do the best they can, for the most part they are top notch in customer service, but from what you described, it would appear that Apple wouldn't have to do anything since they may not be at fault and/or not legally responsible for replacing it.
Again, I'm just playing devils advocate.
