Reinstall Acrobat Professional 8 on new computer

The old laptop was replaced and all programs were unistalled. I need to get my Acrobat 8 Pro on my new laptop...Foxit is driving me crazy!!

I am afraid but you need to upgrade to Acrobat X.

My organization is purchasing new computers next year. We have two old computers that currently have Acrobat 9 Pro installed on them. I do not have a disc or install download information as this installation occurred quite some time ago before I worked here. I'm wondering if it's possible to reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro on the new computers when we get them, then update them to Acrobat XI Pro - or somehow wind up with Acrobat XI Pro on both new computers without having to purchase brand new copies (which I believe are significantly more expensive than just the update - we're a non-profit, so money is tight). If this is indeed possible, how would I go about doing it?

You can download Acrobat 9 from the direct download links available at : http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
And then use the serial number to activate it.
But make sure you follow the important steps mentioned on the page before initiating the download.

Be sure you have deactivated it from the old machine. You may have problems with a new system, but you will only find out by trying. If it installs, be sure to do the updates as your first step. Without the updates, you may not be successful. Even with the updates you may have problems, but so far several folks have reported success with Win7 (32 and 64-bit) and there has been a hint of success for Win8.1. Don't bother calling Adobe about any issues as they will tell you it is not compatibile and to by XI.

I am trying to re-install acrobat 9 on a new computer. I have the serial #. It downloads ok, then shows me a scree with the verified serial #. the next screen is an update form and it doesn't recognize my acrobat 8 serial # so I can't complete.
this is a windows 7 machine. 64 bit.

I downloaded the installer and ran the execution file.
