Reinstall applications after deletion on a mac

I am not exactly great with technology and am sort of new to the Mac family.  I accidentally deleted a couple of my Creative Cloud applications without using the uninstallers, I actually deleted the uninstallers as well.  I was getting confused so I just wanted to restart the whole process.  But when I redownloaded the Application Manager it said all my applications were still installed even though I cannot get to them anywhere. How do I reinstall them?
Thank you.

run the cleaner:  http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
restart your computer.
then fix your cc app:  http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html

  • Reinstalling Applications After Deleting (Unstalling Them)

    Hello,
I have a somewhat annoying problem. I wanted to install Pando but for some reason, it kept crashing upon opening. I thought perhaps it didn't install correctly, so I dragged the Pando icon from my Applications folder to the trash. I later emptied my trash. Now, when I redownload and rerun the Pando installation package, the Pando icon does not appear in my Applications folder anymore.
Furthermore, after following some more Pando support forum instructions, I deleted more files associated w/ Pando (e.g. Application support, Preferences). This was supposed to solve my problems, but instead, after yet again rerunning the installation package, NONE of the files I deleted show up, even though the installation says it was successful.
I'm not sure if this is a Pando problem or something associated w/ Snow Leopard. However, if anyone has advice on how to resolve my problem, I'd be super-grateful.
    Thanks!

Thanks for your replies. I know it is possible to install Pando on Snow Leopard because it installed successfully on my sister's Macbook (running Snow Leopard). What is strange is that after I delete it from my Applications Folder and then try reinstalling it, it does not appear again.
Normally, if I were to uninstall a program by deleting it from my Applications Folder, and then later change my mind and want to reinstall it, shouldn't it just reappear on my computer? But for some reason, it does not on my mine...

  • Reinstall applications after deleting by moving into trash.

I have deleted my adobe applications by moving into trash before installing an SSD drive into my Mac and migrating my account over. Unfortunately the application manager doesn't seem to realise that the apps are gone and are not letting me reinstall them, any suggestions?

I will suggest to uninstall the applcaition from:
Main hard drive -> Applications -> Utilities -> Adobe Installer -> (uninstall then programm by double clicking the uninstaller).

  • The Creative Cloud application becomes inoperable continually on both my Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems. I'm tired of re installing the application after deleting the OOBE file to get updates and syn settings between computers for Photoshop. Is this

The Creative Cloud application becomes inoperable continually on both my Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems. I'm tired of re installing the application after deleting the OOBE file to get updates and syn settings between computers for Photoshop. Is this an endemic problem with others? I'm using Google Chrome as my browser. Is this an issue with the problem?

Similar problem just happened to me with the Creative Cloud Update 1.7.1.418—slightly different so I thought I'd share. I have multiple Adobe Creative Cloud programs installed on my computer, all working just fine. I updated the Cloud App to the latest version and then it shows me that I have only one program installed! All my previously installed programs (Photoshop and the like) still work but show as "install" instead of "Up to date". Initially I thought I'd have to re-install the Cloud app or recreate the OPM data base but then I noticed that some of the Cloud app preferences (Apps > Settings > App Language) were different to what I had set previously. I use English (International) language, the update had reverted the app back to English (North American). I flicked back to my previous language and bam, all my apps now show as being installed correctly.

  • I lost mail smart folders on iMac after delete them on Mac Air

I lost mail smart folders on iMac after delete them on Mac Air with differents mail accounts.
I don't undestand, I have email accounts totally differents between iMac and Mac Air, I don't know if is an iCloud issue.
When I open Mail on Air I see a lot of smart folders I use on iMac and I thinked of a some old sync mismatch, so I deleted smart folders on Air.
Today when I turn on my iMac I see I lost ol my smart folders, but are differents computers, differents email accounts, one used for work the other at home (gmail).
Of course I have time machine backup but don't know how to restore smart folders.
Please help me, I don't want smart folders be synced beetween differents accounts
    I attach my iCloud settings...

I don't know the answer to your question, but smart folders do not actaually contain messages, just links to messages from other folders. So nothing has actually been lost. Once you recreate the smart folders, you'll see the same mail inside them that you did before.

  • SERIOUS PROBLEM! I need to reinstall quicktime after deleting the .app

I am trying to reinstall quicktime that came with my macbook pro, after deleting the quicktime.app file and the folders in the library.
You might ask why I did this? I have quicktime pro to install, but it's version 7.1.1, and would NOT install over 7.1.2; I messed up though, I know that now.
How do I fix it? Trying to reinstall quicktime 7.1.2 that I downloaded just crashes the installer.
    Thanks!

No, I have not deleted the Quicktime712.pkg from Library/Receipts. Should I do this, or put the OSX disk back in the drive and then run the package that is in my Receipts folder?
I run software update religiously, so I know that is not an issue.
Thanks for the info, hopefully what I told you helps narrow the problem a bit.

  • Reinstalling Word after deleting all files.

I am getting ready to sell my MacBook Pro and will be deleting all files. I currently have Word installed on the computer. Is there anyway I could reinstall Word after I delete everything?  Thanks.

    Csound1 wrote:
Philly is correct, but you can not legally sell your copy of Word, the license is for you only, if you bought the 3 user version there will be 3 license keys, you can transfer any unused ones.
    Thanks.  I forgot about that.

  • Reinstalling CS4 after deleting the files without using the uninstaller

Hi I didn't know that I have to use the uninstaller to uninstall my adobe CS4 products on my mac. My photoshop was giving me problems and I decided to reinstall it. However, I uninstalled it the normal mac way i.e. simply deleting it. Now I'm having trouble reinstalling as the installer always fails. Any way to resolve this?
    Thanks!

However, I uninstalled it the normal mac way i.e. simply deleting it.
That hasn't been "the normal Mac way" for the last decade... Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, reinstall.

  • Lost some applications after deleting System Preferences

My friend, REALLY, inadvertently deleted his system preferences ... he managed to retrieve most functionality by copying the 'Previous Systems' folder contents into a new S prefs folder ... in the process of doing this he has lost at least two applications ... Preview and Photo Booth ... does anybody know if it is possible to solve this problem without doing a clean installation?
    Thanks
    Duncan

Hi Duncan, it appears to be time for a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
Just be sure to select Preserve Users & Settings.
The other possibility is to Get Pacifist...

then extract what you need from your Install Disk.

  • Why cant i reinstall ebay after deleting on my 9300 .Can anyone help????

I recently uninstalled ebay app on my 9300 because it was very slow.
Why cant i reinstall it ?

No such option exists. I'm having to use an android phone temporarily provided by my employer and although it has an option to have a weather widget on the lock screen, it doesn't update automatically and the overall use of the android phone is awful in comparison. Kludgy is the most accurate description I can provide. Not a chance my personal money would ever be used for such a kludgy and grossly insecure mobile OS.

  • After clearing cash on mac applications won't lunch any more..I tried to delete apps like VLC player with app cleaner and again download and instal new but it's the same..goes for all apps that are not originally part of Yosemite. Please advise me?!

After clearing cash on my mac ( Go to folder: ~/Library/Caches and clear all, than to Library/Cashes and clear all again) applications won't lunch any more..I tried to delete apps like VLC player, firefox.. with app cleaner and again download and install the new one but it's the same..goes for all apps that are not originally part of Yosemite. I have done this cash clean up very often on Maverick without any problems. This time I done it again because I could not open my web site, the server has blocked me and I was trying everything including deleting cash from mac. Please advise me what to do..?!? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/baddns.php
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/hackedrouter.php
If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

  • Help! Cannot reinstall Indesign - creative cloud thinks it is still on Mac after deletion!

    Hi,
I recently installed Creative cloud in order to try out Indesign etc. Unfortunately my start-up disk got full, so I deleted them all. I then went to reinstall them, after telling the creative cloud to use a different file location - on an external harddisk. I successfully downloaded and installed Photoshop and Illustrator. However, when I tried to reinstall Indesign, the Creative cloud seems to think it is still on my Mac - which it certainly is not! The only active button neaar Indesign is "tutorials".  So now I do not have the programme, and I cannot find a way to reinstall it.
HELP! I really need the programme for a course I'm taking.
