Reinstall apps that were once free
Just want to check something out. If you purchase a free app then delete it and now want to reinstall it, am I correct in saying that the cost of the reinstalled app will be the price on the day of reinstallation ? For example downloaded a free app and deleted by mistake. Had a look at the Store and current price is £1.79. I am assuming that if I reinstalled it I would be charged £1.79.
No, you won't be charged anything. If you've bought an app, you can redownload it for free, even if you've deleted it.

Missing paid apps (that were previously free) after migrating to iPhone 5s
I just upgraded from iPhone 5 to iPhone 5s. I have a lot of music and pictures there, so to make it faster I first connected my iPhone 5 to my Mac and made a backup via iTunes. After that I plugged in my new iPhone 5s and restored it. Then when the phone restarted, it took about 2-3 hours to download all the apps onto the new 5s. So I thought everything was done, but I then discovered that some apps were still missing on the new iPhone 5s.
For instance, this is a screenshot from iPhone 5s:
And this is how it used to look on my iPhone 5:
As you see those 4 games are missing.
I thought about it and the only thing that comes to mind is that I got those games after one of the Apple's promotions. I believe for free. Does this mean that those previously promoted apps don't migrate to new devices? Thanks. Logging out from Settings -> iTunes & App Store and then logging back in fixed the issue.

Try calling Tech Support, they should be able to check to see if theres a lock and try to help you reset it, I had to call and get my account unflagged, for something that I didn't even do.

I got charged five times for apps that were free
I got charge five time for apps that were free. I am frustrated because they have it setup where you can not talk to anyone. Everything is either email or a schedule date far out.
Was this when downloading them, and if so did you change (5 times) your credit card details on your iTunes account ? Each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - your card issuer should remove it within a few days or so.

How can I deactivate Adobe apps that were installed on a computer that is no longer available?
How can I deactivate Adobe apps that were installed on a computer that is no longer available? I have a Creative Cloud membership, and I want to deactivate a device that is no longer available. I would have thought that there would be an option to deactivate all devices somewhere in My Account, but I can't find it.
Hi acornies,
There is no such option readily available under which you are able to deactivate the product on all the devices . As per the EULA , you are able to install the product on two machines only and once you try to have the product installed on a third machine that would provide you with an error message and an option to deactivate the products on all the previous installation .
So , if the machine that you would be installing the product onto is going to be your third machine , you will be getting an error message that you have reached your activation limit and there would be a button to click on continue to deactivate all the prev installation .
Please let me know if this works for you .

I downloaded 2 games on my daughters iPod that were marked FREE. I was charged $4.99, $6.99 and $9.99 how do I get a refund?
Expanding on what Winston said, many apps, particularly games, are free for the base game but charge for additional features such as levels, "coins" and other such add-ons. It's not always obvious, particular to children, that these features cost real money.
First, to prevent this from happening again, turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on the iPod. You may also want to turn off the ability to install apps, to prevent purchases in case the child gets hold of your iTunes Store account information, and set the password to be required immediately. For more information, see:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4213
As to a refund, that's not automatic since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html
They're usually pretty lenient in the case of inadvertent purchases by children. No guarantees, though, just as if your child was in a store and ate a bunch of food (in other words, something that can't just be returned).
Good luck. -
i and my brother have different apple id's but are using the single itunes library on our home PC.When i am syncing my iphone most of the times the apps that were purchased with my brothers apple id is also getting on my iphone.

HT1904 restricting apps that are NOT free
I want to restrict my children from installing any apps that are NOT free. How do i do this? Do i have to restrict their Apple Store use in whole or is there something that will just deny them when they try
Sorry, but there is no option to restrict downloading just to free apps. It would seem like a useful option, so you can suggest it to Apple via their feedback pages, if you wish:

Updating apps that were purchased with an old account
How do I update apps that were purchased under prior email account? I no longer have this email address but the app updates keep prompting me for it.
Apps are forever tied to the account used to download them. That means they will always require it to update. The fact the email is no longer functional has nothing to do with this.
If you still have the password for the Apple ID (not the email account) you can still use it. You can also go to appleid.apple.com and update the email address for the Apple ID there to a functioning one so the Apple ID remains useable. -
When I go to buy an app that isn't free it asks for my security question but I don't know what my security question is so I go to change it and it said it will send the info to this email that I don't even have. What do I do?

Before I downloaded the iOS 7 upgrade I could turn off the apps that were running in the background by double clicking the bottom button to bring up the apps. I would hold down on 1 app, X's would appear on each and then I could close them. How Now?

I am getting frustrated because I can't update my apps that were downloaded under the old apple id. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I have already tried signing back in under my old apple id and it says that that id is no longer in use.
Applications are connected to the Apple ID that they were purchased/downloaded with. If you updated your ID, you should be able still sign in with that ID, if you are logged into that ID on the phone. However, if you created a new Apple ID, then you would not be able to use that ID to update the apps.
