How should I go about reinstalling Adobe Creative Suite CS 6 Authorizatiion #[redacted by kglad-mod] due to computer crash and reload of Windows 8 operating system.

install it just like you did the first time. if there's no significant hardware change, the reinstall/reactivation won't count as an additional install/activation.

For a "Thunderbird to Thunderbird" transplant of data, it's recommended to copy the profile. Or at least, redirect the new installation of Thunderbird to use the old profile.

restart your computer
reinstall cs6.

My computer became corrupted, and I reinstalled windows, only to find my iphone will no longer sync with the same computer. How do I sync my phone and tones to the same computer without losing everything?

This is my first time using this forum, and I apologize if my post isn't "normal" or if my question is too long. My old acer computer had become corrupted and I had to reinstall my copy of windows. When I tried to sync a new ringtone to my iphone, which was only ever synced to this same computer, I was prompted to delete everything I had so I could install one ringtone. That does not sound ideal, and I refuse to delete everything I've put on my phone and my data to sync to itunes. There has to be another way to show my phone that this is the same computer. So I do not have to go through the hassle of doing everything again. I could not find an answer in the forums, and hope you can help me. This is pretty close to being a deal breaker for me. I'm beyond frustrated with this policy.
I don't believe it matters, but I'm running the latest version of itunes, as of today, and I have an iPhone 4 CDMA iOS 7.4.

I have a few games with quite a few hours invested, and I worry that I'll lose the progress I have as they do not save to the cloud. I may have to bite the bullet, and just take the plunge to resolve this. I just want a way to easily transfer my "Home Computer" for my iPhone. My laptop is years old and in need of being replaced, and it's about time to upgrade my phone. These life events piling up are making me consider switching to a friendlier OS. I'm not using this as a threat. I just hope some apple high up will read this, and realize that we need alternatives. Life happens.
Thank you both Paul and Lawrence. I clicked "This helped me" not knowing it would remove the option to choose "This fixed my problem" too. For anyone else reading this thread. Using the guide provided has done both. It has helped me and given me a fix to my current problem. Lawrence has also provided me with the last bit of information I feel is missing from wjosten's guide. That syncing will completely erase all of your data and reinstall it in one fell swoop. It's a great fix. Even if it isn't the exact one I wanted. Thank you again!

When you reset to factory settings, the computer is de-authorised.
In iTunes menu Store > View Account > sign in > App Store > Deauthorise All.
Once done, authorise this computer iTunes.
Note: you can only do that once a year.

Can you have two copies of Encore CS6 running on the same computer?

I'd love to be able to have two copies of Encore on the same computer. While one copy is encoding and burning, I'd love to get another project started and encoding on the same computer and maybe, if possible, even start burning to a separate external burner. But first, I'd love to just be able to have two copies of Encore open on the same computer. I tried copying the Encore CS6 folder to a different drive and then running it but it says there's another Encore in session and this may cause issues with the hardware.

I can't imagine Encore being able to run 2 instances.
Build from Encore to an image (iso), and get ImgBurn. You can run multiple instances of ImgBurn and burn as many DVD/BDs as you have burners (including externals via USB or whatever). Send him a donation; his product is fantastic.

How many times can I reinstall ipod to same computer?

I've had continual problems with my computer over the last few years that I've had my ipod and have had to wipe the hard drive several times. When I reinstall my ipod this time, I will be on number 4. I remember reading somewhere that you can only reinstall the same ipod 5 times. Is that correct? Is there any way to get around this or will I be forced to buy a whole new ipod? Why do they do this anyway?

iPods are not installed on to a computer.
You just use them.
Any songs which you have purchased thru iTunes can be authorized to be played on 5 different computers at any one time. The authorized computers can be changed by deauthorizing one to use a different one.

I'm using CS6 in a class, and one of my students used CC12 to complete his project. Since CS6 can't open a CC12 project, I want to install CC12 onto my computer to open and view it, but I want to make sure that it won't screw up my ability to open up everyone else's projects who are using CS6. Also, I don't want to use CC12 because our school only has CS6, and I don't want to do anything at home that I can't bring to school.
In the past, I've had trouble with installing dupliate versions of a software, and don't want to have to uninstall, and reinstall CS6...

This is standard practice for most users when they upgrade. There are no conflicts.

I need inverse kinematics now only in CS6 but my computer in from my university and will shortly be converted over to FlashCC but I need many of the dropped old feratures. I'm seriously in trouble as I have a large animation I have been working onwith my students for months and very soon the workflow will come to a grinding stop. It's already bad as the lab computers have already moved over to CC. My laptop is now my only worrking option along with the students who have a copy of CS6. Sorry but i can't explain properly my problem. When i bought my copy of LR, adobe gave me a serial number to use 3 times to install LR on 3 different computers. I installed it on my mac, on my pc and now, due to the faulty hard disk, i have to reinstall LR on my mac. When i ll input the serial number on my mac, will i use the third possibility to use my serial number or LR will recognize it was installed before on that computer and i will have the possibility to use the serial number for the third time on a third computer? Photoshop requires 512 Meg of VRAM or more to use the 3D features - that's been the same for version 14 (CC) and now 15 (CC 2014). Check Help->System Info to see how much your card says it has.
