Reinstall garage band
I am having issues reinstalling garage band from my ilife disk. I have removed all of the old program from the HD that was not working correctly but still can not get the program to reinstall. The installer goes all the way to the end and then tells me there was an error - try again.
Any suggestions?
This may not be a garageband issue. How much free space do you have on your hard drive? Have you tried running disk utility or other maintenance program?

I have a new Intel DuoProcessor Mac that came with Garage Band Installed. My grandson inadvertently deleted some of Garage Band's features. I have the install disks that came with my computer; and I just want to know if there's a way to just reinstall Garage Band without reinstalling all of the bundled software or the system itself before I start fooling around. Is Garage Band part of the Mac OSX system, or is it bundled software? Thanks
GarageBand has never been part of the OS, so that's not an issue at all B-)>
Yes, you can use the Custom Install option on the DVD to install just GB (adn then when you're done, set up a Non-Admin account with limited privs for Grandson B-)> -
How to reinstall Garage band??
Alrighty...it seems like everytime I upgrade my computer loops go missing and then I have to find them and move them around and what not. What I was wondering is how do I unistall Garage Band then reinstall it? I have the MacOS 10.4 cd and the ilife 06 cd and all my original software. I just want to start over from scratch and reload all my jam packs and the ilife update. Thanks for anyones help! -Tom-
Do a search on your computer for "GarageBand". You'll find the app, its preference files (there are 2), and the standard loops folder(s). Delete them.
Then search for "Jam Pack", and any jam pack folders should turn up, delete those folders and you should be ready to install GB and the JPs from the DVDs from scratch.

It has always worked ok prior to this. And I have had other issues. How do I reinstall Garage Band '11?
I have looked in downloads, but can'ty find any download file. I had upgraded to Mac OSX 10.6.8 couple years back, which included
Garage Band '11, a new ITunes & new IPhoto.Before reinstalling I'd try HangTime's fix for "oddball" problems and delete the User preferences and repair permissions, see the FAQ:

If you want to reinstall, install again the GaragaBand application from your installation disk and then upgrade again to 6.05 using the link above or Software update from the Apple Menu.

Garage Band 3 causes AudioCore errorcode -2 while launching
Hi,
after updating my Garage Band to 3.0.2. I get an error message telling me, that AudioCore errorcode -2 has occured. After confirming this box, Garage Band loads completely, but sound is disabled. Quicktime and iTunes work flawless - no sound problems.
I deleted and reinstalled Garage Band, but this didn't solve my problem. Any ideas?

Please can someone help me with a problem I'm having with my garage band app?
Not to long ago I was using my garage Band app and I was making some songs when all of a sudden it closed on me I was so mad because I was in the middle of making a song so I never got to save it , so I continued to try to open the app again but now all it does is it seems to get ready to open but then it shuts off without even opening . I went to trouble shooting and have done everything except for uninstalling the app reason why is I'm afraid of all my work on there will be deleted and I won't be able to get it back.
I only know just a little about iPads mine is and ipad2 and I need someone's help is there a way for me to fix this without erasing the work I've done on there. And or should I just wait for garage band to have an update on the App Store and update it without deleting it? Please I don't now what to do.
If someone could walk me through what is wrong what I need to do and how etc.

Simachyahi .I have tried all those things I even updated the software to the new iOS system and it still did fix my problem.
What happened is that my garage band looks like it will open then it shuts down.
I have lot of important things on my garage band and I'm afraid that if I uninstall it deleting it then reinstalling it all my work on it will be gone and I can't have that happen.
Everyday I am hoping that when i go to open the app that is will work but it doesn't it gets ready to turn on then it shuts off , the app doesn't even open all the way and turns off.
I really hope I don't have to erase it.
It'll say it's ,lading my songs then it shuts down .
If I waited for the App Store to come up with an update for garage band should I wait till then to update my app so it doesn't get damaged . I don't want to erase it and all my data get erased . I figured if I wait for an update then my garage band will reset itself but won't delete my data. I'm not sure if that will help. Is there anything you or anyone else might know that can help me with this matter ?

In the middle of downloading an update for garage band and lost the connection, now the app won't open or finish the download. Can I reinstall the app without losing my music?
The obvious way to resolve this on a computer would be to uninstall the app, then reinstall it, however on an iOS device that would cause all the data assoicated with the app to be thrown away.
Make sure your iTunes library has the latest updates for all your apps, then backup and restore the device. This should pull back a fresh copy of the app from your iTunes library and then give it the data from your device backup.

No. iLife is a separate product that is bundled with the purchase of a new Mac, not the purchase of a new OS.
So, anyone with an older Mac would have pay for an upgrade to iLife in addition to paying for an upgrade to Lion.
On a positive note, you can now upgrade separate components in the App Store (i.e. iPhoto), instead of paying for the complete iLife suite -
I have garage band '09 on my mac. When I open garage band a little notice pops up saying "No Apple Loops found; There are no Apple Loops installed on your System. Please reinstall the Apple Loop Package" I have followed the instructions on the apple web page and it didn't work. I looked in all of the locations on my mac and all of the folders that should contain apple loops are empty. Is there a way I can redownload the apple loops to my mac without buying garage band '11 or one of the jam packs????????????????

I uninstalled garage band which was preinstalled on my mac, how do I reinstall it?
Garage band came preinstalled on my mac book air and I uninstalled it for space on my start up disk. Now I cant reinstall it without paying, is this right? I might be on a different apple ID as I was given the mac by family who didnt want ti anymore. wouldI need their log in to redeem this?
Check the "Purchased" tab of the AppStore, if GarageBand is listed with an "Accept" button beside it. If you see "Accept", the previous owner did not yet associate it with hero his Apple ID, and you can accept it for yourself. If GarageBand, iMove, iPhoto do not show there, only the previous owner can install or update the apps for you, using the AppleID that has been used to accept the apps.
In that case, your family members will have to download the apps again for you. Otherwise you have to buy them again from the main "Featured" page of the AppStore, after signing in with your own AppleID. -
I reinstalled OS and now garage band and pages is gone
So my macbook pro 15.4 retina was crapping out a lot so I reinstalled the OS to start from scratch. now Pages and Garage Band is gone. went to app store and they charge for them??? What gives
Neither Garage Band nor Pages are part of the OS, so they were not installed.
Log into MAS and navigate to the Purchased tab. You can re-download all previously-purchases apps from there, without paying again. -
HT4463 Recent MBP Pro Retina purchase, Garage Band "registry error". Uninstall and reinstall help.
Got an MBP Pro Retina recently, Garage Band is not working and is stating a potential "registry error". I'd like uninstall and reinstall. However, I am unable to redownload the dmg. Help?
It's ok I've done this numerous times. Drag the iLife app to the trash. Enter your passward. Now refresh MAS and you'll see installed changes to install because MAS doesn't see it anymore. You can now click to redownload that App again.
You don't have to empty the trash btw just yet, that way you can always redo the original from the trash if you really want to. Maybe that will make you feel a little easier now.

And it's later health effects caught up and I use my apple devices to increase daily life, as it's dull n hardly fix my issue with a info n direction solution or get future shop to honour me a new ipad in exchange for this with receipt box m was never out of a shock proof case. No scratches a tall not even minor n when ur iPod works better then ur ipad that *** n shows the ipad is defective HELP ME PLZ RYAN TOBIN

While creating a project in Garage Band 09 my sample tracks were being cut short- I then discovered they had been overwritten in soundtrack pro.
Any ideas why? and how to get my tracks back?
I never opened soundtrack pro to edit the track just Garage band....the track just mysteriously saved as half the track.
I am running Lion and I upgraded my Garage band to '11 hoping it would resolve the issue...it didn't. Now I can't find that tracks at all.
The 2 songs having the issue are titled Exotic Yearning and Reunion.
I am in the process of reinstalling the audio content from my discs. I just don't want to run into this again.
Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!After spending some time reinstalling the soundtrack pro 3 content I opened the full track called Reunion.
It showed back up in Garage Band.*It was the full track and wasn't chopped off until I dragged it onto the project. Then it showed up chopped.
Then I closed Garaged band and opened soundtrack pro 3....The song was again chopped off at the 1:33min mark

Are the programs in your Applications folder? Did you purchase them from the App Store or do you have an iWork DVD?
