Reinstall help????

After a bad computer crash...i cant get PS5 installed and i get this message. what do i do? how do i do it? One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop.

Either use the old installer or download a new one, best to download to ensure you are using the latest version. The installer will install to your default location, usually the C drive. As it will be a new instilation you will have to enter your serial number.
Then just double click on your backed up copy of the LR catalog or if you still have it the original catalog file. This will open the catalog in LR. As long as the locations of the image files themselves has not changed this will be all you need to do. If you have changed any of the locations of the image files you will have to right click on the folder in LR and select relocate folder.

I am having trouble syncing my ipod nano with my desktop. I purchased new songs that show up on my desktop but cannot get them to sync to my nano. The computer keeps giving me the message it is not authorized. Then it asks for my passcode which it says is incorrect. Which how can that happen when I can still go into Itunes and purchases songs with the same passcode? The computer just keeps looping to "not authorized" and "incorrect passcode". But I was able to see my computer is 1 of 2 computers authorized but does not seem to be recognizing this. So, I called apple support and they had me unistall and reinstall itunes but I am still having the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions how to get pass this? Any help would be great thanks!!

Computer reinstalled - itunes ipod reinstall help???

Hi everyone, first post here and I'm after help, not the best of starts eh. Anyway I'm Steven from Manchester in the UK and have got a 5th Gen iPod, which is also my first ever iPod
Anyway, onto my problem. I had a major problem with my PC on Sunday and finally got it sorted on Tuesday. I lost my 1st HDD so lost iTunes and my iPod installation as well as all my files. Luckily for me though I had backed up my music and videos on my 2nd HDD, but sadly I hadnt backed up the library.
Just wondering if there is a way of reinstalling iTunes so that it'll recgonise my songs and videos and not wipe them first, or will I have to just create all playlists etc again?
2nd question is, that I've now misplaced my iPod CD so am unsure of how to install it. Can I download the install software again? If so then where from?

I'm assuming you are referring to your iPod being wiped on connection to your new iTunes. Have a look here for preventing your iPod being updated: "How to keep iTunes from automatically updating your iPod" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93779

IMovie reinstall help please

i'm not sure how, but i seem to have lost imovie from my macbook (about 1 1/2 years old). it's not listed in the applications folder, and the imovie folder in the library is empty. my questions:
1. if i can find my install disks, can I reinstall imovie without reinstalling the entire operating system?
2. If i can't find my install disks, can i buy iLife '08 and install that? Does it matter if part or all of the original (older version) iLife files are present when installing '08?
3. are there any freeware or free-trial alternatives for a quick fix - i need to transfer video from a miniDV camcorder to my macbook this weekend and i'm not sure how else to do it besides using iMovie.

InDesign Reinstall Help

Last night InDesign somehow disappeared from my dock (Mac). I didn't need the program anymore for the evening and went to bed. This morning, it was still gone and when I located it it wouldn't open. It told me to uninstall and then reinstall it and gave me the Error Code: 11. I uninstalled it but have no idea how to reinstall it. Please help. I have an impending deadline.

Itunes stopping working even after reinstall - help please

I have not been able to access / watch anything stored on my iTunes on my laptop. every time I click on it I get the following message: ITUNES HAS STOPPED WORKING a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available.
Can anyone help? I've tried the QTMovieWin.dll advice but its still not working?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you have already done some great troubleshooting. Did you remove not only iTunes but all of its components in Windows as well when you reinstalled? When you remove and reinstall iTunes, all components must be removed in order to ensure it works properly when reinstalled. If you have already done this, please let me know. If you need to go through this process please use the information provided in the articles below.

CS3 Has Stopped Working and Won't Reinstall - HELP I can't Work!

Hi, I have CS3 running on a Windows Vista 32 bit PC with 4 gig of
RAM, dual core processor. The other day I went to use Photoshop and got the
message that the product had stopped working. This turned out to be the case
with all of the apps. The solution dialog would not run from the
window. So I completely uninstalled, ran CS3 Clean Tool (all with virus
software off) and have attempted three times to reinstall (from desktop), but it
keeps coming back and telling me that Acrobat 8 installed successfully and
Shared Components installed successfully, but for each of the other products it
says "Component install failed". It also says that for Shared Components, even
though it says they installed successfully. It never askes for a product code
or key.
Since CS3 isnt current Adobe wont support. Help, I need it for work and cant
afford to upgrade!

I think I can help you--I got help from Mylenium. I have a Windows Vista 32 bit core duo and I have CS 3 Master Collection and it stopped, too. I think the problem was a Windows Update that put things in the registry. The clean tool and the uninstall from the control panel will not affect the registry. I followed these exact instruction VERY carefully and I got a clean re-install and can work now. Here is the adobe page I used--you need to find a time period of 8 or more hours to get this to work--last step is to update your software which in my case took several hours because it had been over a year since CS3 stopped for me.

Downloaded Photoshop 11 on Mac - cannot open it, should I uninstall/reinstall - Help!

I downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements about 6 months ago. I think I messed up from the beginning - perhaps I saved something in the wrong place. I tried making a shortcut on my desktop, but it didn't work somehow, so I've been going through the Organizer to open the Editer because whenever I click on the shortcut I get this error message: "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application."
Today I was fiddling around with things on my computer and tried to make a shortcut again by finding the "Adobe" file in Finder and dragging it on the desktop. That didn't work....it disappeared from Finder and I cannot open the Editer from the Organizer anymore - needless to say the shortcut I tried to make didn't work. I keep getting the same error message. So, I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I would really like some opinions. Should I uninstall it completely and reinstall it? Can I since I downloaded it off the site?

It seems the install was not proper. Please uninstal the existing version, download the software again and reinstall.

But make sure you follow the important steps mentioned on the page before initiating the download.

After upgrading to 10.5 itunes.exe entry point not found. tried reinstalling 3 times gives error 7, tells me to reinstall. help please!

After upgrading to itunes 10.5 itunes.exe - entry point not found message appears. The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQlite3.dll (this mesage appeared) Reinstalled 3 times then I get message itones not installed correctly error 7. I started up and plugged in my iPad and then the following message came up:

      Your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.
                                                                                       OK
Press OK and then the next message:
       iTunes
❌ iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.
      Error 7 (Windows error 126)
                                                                                       OK

Help me! New iTunes version 10.4 reinstallment help.

Whenever I enter iTunes, it says " The software required for communicating with iPods and mobile devices was not installed correctly." So I press "Yes" to reinstall it but, it says the software couldn't be repaired (WHY?) and it tells me to reinstall iTunes, but somehow im not able to do that because it says that the new version is alredy downloaded (version 10.4). Why is that? and Can you help me with that?

Some system versions ago there have been issues with a load of applications that make online connections causing exactly this kind of error. See the list on Jacobs page

I was having problems with safari after updating to 2.0.1. I have a safari.pkg on my computer, but every time i try to bring it up and reinstall, it says "errors during install" and "try installing again". I've tried several times, and i'm not sure what is wrong. sorry if this is trivial, i could use any help! thanks...

Downloading and using Firefox should not create the problems you are experiencing. I am guessing from the description of your problem that you may be attempting to run Firefox from the .dmg instead of dragging the application to your Applications Folder. Firefox can coexist with Safari and should not interfere with iTunes. Unfortunately, I do not know anything about "First Class Software."
In any event, you should not uninstall Firefox until you verify that you do have a browser remaining on your system. If you have indeed deleted Safari, it can be reinstalled with the 10.3.9 Update Combo. Safari can then be Updated with 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 in sequence.

Win XP adobe corrupted need reinstall help

Work computer with Win XP. Will not read adobe PDF's. Tried uninstall and it will not work on the control panel. When I download the update and try to reinstall it tells me that acrobat is already installed. I have moved the old adobe files in the C Drive under both program and common files without success. Any help appreciated!

If this a work computer, first contact you IT department for help.
What version of Acrobat were you running?
Was newer version of Reader installed on your system?
Start with repairing Acrobat.
If that does not work, then one needs to clean Acrobat and Reader from the system with a special cleaner tool available from Adobe Labs. And then installing your version of Acrobat and activating it.
Any version prior to version X is no longer supported, so you might consider upgrading your version of Acrobat.

Sync Hangup/Cancellation: Would iTunes Reinstall Help?

Synching my iPad2 with iTunes hangs up at Step 5 of 6 -- Importing Photos. Eventually I get the message "Canceling synch."
I recenty upgraded to iOS5, but have successfully synched since then. I tried unchecking synching photos. However, iTunes still gets hung up at Step 5 of 6 of the synch and then cancels the synch. Would reinstalling iTunes help?

Erase and reinstall help - random shut off

I've been to diagnose my random shut off of my early '06 iMac Intel. It seems to shut down when I use a lot of memory.
I've done the AHT, resetting the PRAM, ran TechTools, and DiskWarrior.
It doesn't happen as frequently, but it still occurs. Shuts down randomly once a week. And I have to wait 10 minutes or more to start up again.
I saw a some users reinstalled OS X and it helped them.
SO FINALLY MY QUESTION, , I'M CURRENTLY RUNNING OS X 10.5.8 LEOPARD, BUT MY iMac ORIGINALLY CAME WITH TIGER 10.4.4, WHEN I ERASE AND REINSTALL DO I NEED TO USE THE ORIGINAL TIGER DISKS OR CAN I USE THE NEW LEOPARD?

ran Power Fractal and is still running for 15 minutes. Nothing happening. I'm not sure how to use the program. I messed with the colorspeed, i put it to 100. Put the max count to 131072. Zoom factor 10. I even opened up Final Cut Pro and Adobe Photoshop all running at the same time.

I noticed a shut off when free memory is 500 or less.
Fantastic obsevation, RAM is one of the hardest things to test for, RAM tests can only be trusted if they find a problem, not if they don't... seems OSX is a better RAM tester than any RAM test, that being said...
