Reinstall HP Software that came on the machine

I couldn't get a Windows update to apply and Microsoft support couldn't either.  They reset my machine and now I must reinstall everything.  I would like to reinstall the applications that came on the machine provided by HP.  Where can I download the software applications?

If you don't have a recovery cd (and many don't these days), let's hope you made a recovery drive after you first got the PC. If you didn't contact HP Support. I learned my lesson the hard way. I bought a bought a non-HP laptop that didn't come with a recovery cd, and I ended up reimaging it. Since I hadn't made a recovery disk I ended up shipping it back to them. Took 51 days for me to get it back from Taiwan, and it'll be the last time I buy a product from them even though they are a big name in motherboards.

  • Is there a way to enable 3D display outside of the software that came with the device?

    Hello,
I just bought this device and my primary use for it is the 3D function, but unfortunately there is no option to enable or disable the 3D function outside the set of software that came with it. For example in Cyberlink Power DVD 3D works fine, TriDef software creates depth from games but that is not actually what I need. I need just to have an image or a sequence in standar over-under or side-by-side formats and to enable the 3D effect on the display.
Some third party software, Stereoscopic player for example recognizes the monitor fine and displays the 3D content normally. But what I need is to display a full screen image from After Effects so I could have a live preview of the 3D, is there a way to somehow engage the 3D mode by some utility or driver?

    MHetlerovic, welcome to the forum.
I read the manual thoroughly and it doesn't appear that there is any way to access the 3D mode without using some type of program.

  • Install software that came with the BT MM?

    Hi,
Just got my Bluetooth Mighty Mouuse. Should I install the software that came with it?
Is there any benefit or added functionality in doing so?
I have a new 20-in Intel Core 2 Duo iMac.
    Thanks...

You'll need the software installed to configure fully the MM's buttons via the Keyboard & Mouse preferences pane (and also view the battery status). On our Mac Pro it was preinstalled, but on our Mini it wasn't. I'm not sure what the default is on the new iMacs.

  • Is there a place to get the software that came on the cd

I was given an Ipod Shuffle and I was wondering if there was was a place that I can get the Software that can on the CD provided with the Ipod when it was originally puchased.

That software was iTunes, which can be downloaded from Apple's website.

  • Software that came on computer deleted

How do I reinstall a software that came with my computer if I by put it in trash and empty trash.

Depending on your OS version you might have a software restore CD/DVD. That CD/DVD was created only to restore software. There is no OS on it.
If not, then insert your MAC OS X restore DVD, open it and double-click on install bundled software only. Thet should restore the defaul apps that came with your machine.

  • Can I copy a DVD with software that came pre-installed?

    Lenovo 3000 J115/7387A11 Desktop.
My wife had a bunch of old movies recorded on a DVD. She would like to have an additional copy of the DVD and since my Lenovo has a DVD burner wants me to make a copy of the DVD.
Does anyone know if the software that came with the Lenovo can do this?
    Thanks for any help.

You shouldn't have any problems whatsoever copying the DVD. The supplied software can do this.

  • Unable to Install Universal Wireless Keyboard with the CD that came with the Palm Tungsten E2 on my Windows Vista OS. Can some help? Would Appreciate it very much.

I recently bought a Palm Tungsten E2. I have been unable to install the Universal Wireless Keyboard software that came with the E2. Went online and downloaded the version 1.13 UWK and that would not install either. What did I do wrong?
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

For Vista that version will not let you install programs. Good news though is we have a version you can. Go here, http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/windesk62.html and install this on top of the version you already have. There is going to be a few changes on the desktop, there is no quick install, but the install tool.
Once you have that done just double click on keyboard and it will ask you your hotsync name and sync and your done.
Oh as a side note the check if this is your solution is only if the answer solves your original question.

  • Software that came with my Palm T/X

My T/X came with Documents to go on the disk. Does anyone know where you can download the software that came with the Palm T/X. I lost my disk when I moved
    Post relates to: Palm TX

Hello mgrschizo, Welcome to the Palm Support Community.
There is no legal way to download the Installation Disk for the TX, due to the fact you've already mentioned - it contains copywritten software that is not "free for the taking".  You can purchase the latest version of Docs to Go from Dataviz.com.
Usedpdaparts.com appears to still have some of the disks for sale though:

  • How can I know if the software that came with my mac is valid or pirated?

I recently purchased a MBP that came with numerous amount of really expensive software like Adobe Masterclass Collection,Logic 9, Key Note, Pages, Numbers, Final Cut Pro and many more. How can I find out if this software collection that came on the mac are valid or pirated. Is there a app that can scan my mac for serials or to verify the apps? If infact they are legit purchased, how can I put them on my other mac? or is it even possible. For example, Final Cut Pro and logic are from Apple. Could they Verify them?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Unfortunately, there's not a way to check if they are original or pirated. Also, Keynote, Pages, Numbers, Final Cut Pro (if it's Final Cut Pro X) and Logic Pro, if they were purchased in the App Store, don't need a product key. My advice is to delete all those applications, and purchase again the applications you need with your Apple ID in the App Store, if they are available there.
That's because you will have problems to update them (as they are registered to the old owner's Apple ID) and you can't use them legally if you haven't purchased the applications

  • I can't download the software that came with my ipod

I'm having trouble downloading the software that came with my photo ipod 20G even though i have windows 2000 professional. It comes up with a message when the cd starts loading saying that i need a higher form of windows. I think it might have something to do with the SP4 business but I don't even know what that means, let alone how to find out whether or not I have it. And if i don't, does anyone know how i could and would it be as difficult as changing to windows XP. (My mum said it cost her $1300 changing it at work)
    Thanks

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
You can download the software here...

But, I am not sure how that helps since you need the admin password...

  • How do i delete an app that came with the latest 8.2 software update?

How do i delete an app that came with the latest 8.2 software update?

Since you can't delete apps that are part of iOS, you should try the same thing I do. I create a folder which I call Worthless and move to the last page of my iPhone. I then put all the apps that Apple includes with iOS into that folder. With the name Worthless, I never even tempted to look in there again. That is about the only thing you can do with worthless apps that are included with iOS.

    thanks,

If you mean that it won't boot up, then assuming that the battery isn't empty (it can take about 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a soft-reset to see if that gets it to boot up ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo will hopefully appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • How do I re-install software that came pre-installed on my mac?

How do I re-install software that came pre-installed on my mac?
I bought my first mac in 2003, in 2004 I bought MS Office: Mac. In 2006 I got another mac, this one (I'm pretty sure but not 100% certain) came with MS Office pre-installed. I'm still using that computer I got in 2006 (writing this message on it right now) and have been having problems with Word and have had no luck with trying to fix it. I recently came across my original installation disk for the version of MS Office I got in 2004. So, when I became frustrated trying to fix Word I just grabbed this old installer and reinstalled office, assuming in that moment that it was the same version I had been using. I got it all installed and working and went to load up my most recent document that I've ben working on and it won't load because it's a docx file. I don't know where else I would have gotten a new version of word, I'm not one for unnecessary updates and updating a word processor is about as unnecessary as it gets. I MUST have had a newer version of word pre-installed on my computer, because any time I've ever tried to open word files from this computer on my older mac the files wouldn't work, so any time I need to do that I either make a PDF or email myself the text.
Anyway, I'm assuming that apple has all my registration info on file and can confirm that I bought the software, can they provide my an installer? My other concern is that this computer was a christmas gift and was purchased by my dad, though I don't know whose name is on any kind of registration that may exist. The problem here is that he died, so I'm concerned that apple won't support my product because the original "owner" is deceased, even though I don't think he ever so much as laid a finger on this computer or even looked at it more than twice after he gave it to me.
What is my best course of action here?

I would have to presume the 2006 Mac was used, and came with Office 2008 on it from the seller. Apple has never offered Office as a bundled purchase, and it is not pre-installed with any Mac.
Since you have the disk for Office 2004, the activation key should be on a sticker on the CD/DVD sleeve. As I recall, anyway. I no longer have my 2004 copy to check. If you have the key, it doesn't matter who it originally belonged to. You can still enter it and activate the software.
Once you have that installed, you can install the XML converter for Office 2004. That will allow you to open from all newer Windows and Mac versions of Office. The only things that won't necessarily convert are features that don't exist in Office 2004, and so can't be translated correctly, or at all.
Microsoft is saying Office 2016 for Mac and Windows should be available for the official release sometime either late summer, or early fall. So hold off purchasing a new version if you can. MS offers to reduced upgrade price for Office. You'd pay full price for Office 2011, and then again for Office 2016.
And just to note. Office 2008 and Office 2011 work fine in Snow Leopard.

  • I just replaced my hard drive and am trying to install the Snow Leppard OS on my Mac mini using the DVD's that came with the unit. Is there a step by step procedure that will guide me through this process?

I just replaced my hard drive due to failure in my Mac mini. I am trying to load the Snow Leppard OS from the DVD's that came with the unit. Is there a step-by-step procedure somewhere that would help me? This is my first problem with my first Mac. I thought getting to the hard drive and changing it would be the hard part but I made it through that with little trouble. My lack of software experience on the Mac is really slowing me down. I believe I'm not making the right choices in the Disk Utility program.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Prep the new drive:
    Drive Preparation
    1.  Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Upon completion quit DU and return to the installer. Install OS X. When the installation has completed you can proceed to restore your data from your backups. If you have an existing backup from Time Machine or another hard drive then upon completing the Setup Assistant you will have an option to restore from another Mac, a TM backup, or another drive. Use the appropriate option.

  • I want to sell my MBP. How do I completely erase my 2007, 17-inch Macbook Pro that is currently running Snow Leopard. I DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL DISK THAT CAME WITH THE BOX ANYMORE.

I want to sell off my old MacBook Pro and do not want any of my old stuff on it for the next person to fool around with. I'd like a clean-slate for the next guy/gal. It's a 17-inch that I purchased back in '07. It is currently running Snow Leopard after I installed it myself about two years ago. I DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL DISK THAT CAME WITH THE LAPTOP IN THE BOX.

No problem, stick in your 10.6.3 Snow Leopard retail disk you used to upgrade from 10.4/10.5 with
If you don't have this disk anymore, you can order one online at Apple.com for $29, they don't sell it in the physical stores.
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A
Reboot holding the c or option key down to boot from the disk, select Disk Utility from under the Utilities menu on the second screen (first is language selection)
Now select your boot drive on the left with the drive makers name and disk size and click Erase > Security Option > Zero All Data and click Erase
It will take some time to complete as it's making sure all your personal data if not easily recoverable off the drive using software.
Now quit and you will be back in the installer window, install 10.6 and it will reboot to the "Welcome Video" you can choose to press the power button down and do a hard shutdown, the computer will boot again to this video for the next owner.
