Reinstall LR5 in Adobe CC

On 31 March I  signed up for Adobe Creative Cloud under the $9.99 monthly payment option. All went well and I downloaded PS and LR5. The LR however came up as a 30 day free trial; not what I expected or wanted. Today I reviewed the various help menus and was adviced to uninstall the LR5 and then reinstall it  to CC. I have done the uninstall but can not reinstall. But my account still shows both Apps, that is PS and LR, but only the PS loads.  Also  LR is not showing up on the windows start program.
I am still running LR4.4 as I assume I will need it lrcat to transfer my large image file  to the LR5. My OS is Windows 7
I am new to this whole cloud business so am probably missing something very simple.
Hope someone can help me resolve this.

If Lightroom shows up to date in creative cloud app even though it is not
installed then please follow the steps in below article.

  • How to reinstall LR5 if Application Manager still shows "up to date" although I've uninstalled it?

    I work with Mac OS.. I've installed LR5 using the Adobe Application Manager and, a few weeks later, the program crashed and I cound't solve its problem. I decided to uninstalled it bu found no way to do this using the App. Manager, so I deleted it from Finder. Even after restarting the system several times, Application Manager still indicates that LR5 is "up to date", and for this reason I can't redownload and reinstall LR5.
    I'm a photographer and need desesperately to have LR5 working back in my computer. What can I do to fix this problem?

    Hi all
    Is there a way to reinstall LR5? I'm having issues with it and would like to reinstall to see if that helps. I'm using the creative cloud version. If I uninstall it first will I be able to go back and reload from the Cloud?

    You should just be able to reinstall on top of the current version but, as long as you have your serial number, you can remove it and reinstall it. If you don't have a copy of your serial number, log in to your Adobe account where you can retrieve it. There is a section that lists all of your licensed products along with the issued serial numbers. This is updated when you either register a product you purchased or downloaded from Adobe. I would make a copy of your catalog just to be safe.

    If you didn't have the opportunity to deactivate the installations then you should contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations for all the serial numbers involved.

    Make sure you are logged in to the Adobe site, have cookies enabled, clear your cookie cache.  If it continues to fail try using a different browser.

    Not sure where you came up with these steps from
    Step 1 ... either should work, but the download is the most recent version
    Step 2 ... double-click on the latest catalog backup, yes
    Step 3 ... Catalog is whereever you double-clicked on the backup file, you can move it whereever you want thereafter, using your operating system with Lightroom closed
    Step 4 ... no moving of photos should be needed, definitely NO IMPORTING NO IMPORTING NO IMPORTING NO IMPORTING NO IMPORTING, if the photos are not linked in Lightroom, then follow these instructions http://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm and remember NO IMPORTING NO IMPORTING NO IMPORTING NO IMPORTING NO IMPORTING and did I mention that you should not import your photos?
    For future reference, you stated that you had Lightroom and its backups on the same drive ... do not do this ... backups must go on a different physical drive

    Acrobat XI Pro was crashing repeatedly on start up. Eventually would not open - uninstalled it.

    I have now managed to get rid of all traces of old Acrobat install (had to run the uninstall again), but teh issue with CC manager is still not fixed.
    The Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app will NOT install. I download it, launch the installer, it initializes ... then it simply opens up the existing/old AAM and stops. I get no install, no CC icon in teh menu bar, no CC in preference panel.
    The above link you sent is no use because it assumes I have the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app already.
    Please advise how can I get this installed so I can accurately run the entire suite of software I am paying for?

  • After reinstalling FFox and Adobe Flash Player, why will a certain company webpage will not load, but it does in IE.

    For some reason a certain corporate company web site will not load on my desktop PC. The page is gray and white with some headings and a circle in the middle that goes round and round. I previously (some months ago) was able to access the site (and have for years). I am running Windows 7. I have cleared my cache, reinstalled FireFox, reinstalled Adobe Flash Player (even tried downgrading to Flash version 10). If I use IE, the site page loads with all of the graphics, etc. just fine, I have all of the same FF features on my laptop. The site opens up fine on my laptop. What's next?

    Is there content loaded on that page via JavaScript or a plugin like Flash?

    Hi Armax,
    It is advisable to deactivate the Adobe CC products before uninstalling or re-installing windows and your correct Sign out will deactive the Adobe CC apps.
    If you have Creative cloud 6 then also please deactivate those apps by clicking on Help>> Deactivate.
