Reinstall onto new laptop?

I purchased a adobe creative suite student edition in August 2010 and I installed it on my mac laptop however that laptop is no unusable and I was wonder whether I can install the same program onto a new mac laptop?

You are allowed to have the software activated on two machines, so there should not be an issue with having it on a new machine in that regard.  If the old machine is no longer working then you can contact Adobe Support by chat or phone and have them deactivate it so that you still have the ability to add it to a second machine.
Here are some links to help make contact:

Hard drive died.  Cannot uninstall CS3 to remove copy registration. Need to reinstall on new laptop with windows 7 64 bit system,  Need to get activation code for CS3 Web Premium.

    Thank you Bob.
Just to clarify - in terms of backing up one set of these, would that just be so I had it on disk and didn't need to re-download from Adobe if the installation got corrupted somehow?  Or do I need a backup for some other reason?
    Thanks

  • Need to download Adobe Acrobat X Pro (v10.1.8) onto new laptop

Need to download Adobe Acrobat X Pro (v10.1.8) onto new laptop.  How can this be accomplished?

if you follow all 7 steps, you can download a trial via one of the links on this page using a browser that accepts cookies:  http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a download problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem, but your browser must also allow cookies so that's (a restrictive browser setting) another potential source of problems.

  • Reinstalling Lr5 onto new laptop

When I purchased Lr5 initially, it was a straight-forward download off the web.  Now with a new laptop, I'm being pushed to being pushed with the Cloud version.  Where can I go to simply download Lr5 only?  Thanks.   Bill

Wobertc, Thank you for this; I've successfully downloaded Lr 5.6.   Now the
new part is that my code number is not accepted from my previous
downloads.  It worked for Lr3, 4, and 5 on my former laptop and won't work
here.  The above Lr series is on my desktop and old laptop, but now that I
have a new laptop, it won't download. Yes... I've used my 2 downloads.....
but down with a new laptop, I don't want to have to buy another edition.
Do I have to download and move my Lr5 from my former laptop that I've now
given to my daughter (who has no interest in it AT ALL!)?  Perplexed!
    Thanks for your help.
Once this is finished, I'llI have another issue in the same arena:
downloading Ps CS5 disc onto my computer.   Can we finish with this one
    first??!  Thank you!

  • How to move creative suite onto new laptop?

I've got a new laptop, so I know that I need to deactivate my Creative Suite on my old one in order to reinstall it on my new one
When I'm reinstalling on my new one do I need the serial number/code I used first time round? Because I don't think I have it!
    Thank you!

I purchased adobe cs4 a few years ago but now have a new laptop. I have deactivated cs4 on the old laptop and I now wish to install onto my new dell xps 15 laptop. However, I realised that I have no cd drive on the new laptop to install cs4. Is there any way round this problem? Can I install cs4 on the new laptop without using the CD...maybe adobe could send me a link online?

  • Duplicate library onto new laptop

I just bought a new laptop and want to duplicate my entire itunes library from my main PC, including playlists, onto the new laptop so I will have the same itunes on both. I will continue to sync my ipod with my PC itunes, so ipod being only able to sync with one itunes will not be an issue. My PC uses Windows XP and the new laptop uses Vista.

Copy how? Should I be messing about with networks or is there a simple way?
Assuming you use the iTunes default settings where iTunes copied added items to your iTunes folder and organizes your library (meaning - everything is all self contained in the iTunes folder), then all you have to do is drag & drop your iTunes folder (not just the iTunes Music folder you find inside the iTunes folder) to the external drive and copy the entire thing.
If you want to test that it worked or would like to actually start using it from that location instead, use these instructions when you start iTunes to point it to the new location...
How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one

If you are just testing, then close iTunes after you verify it works, and restart iTunes again with the same instructions and point it back to your internal drive (original) location.
At this point you can either use the library directly off the external on your new laptop, or transfer the library off the external to your new computer and run it off the internal.
    Additional info...

  • Upgrading Photoshop and getting onto new laptop

I have Photoshop CS4 Student Edition on my current laptop and it came with 2 copies (you could put it on 2 computers), but I've had to put both my copies on the laptop because I upgrade my OS at one point from Vista to Windows 7 and the first copy got deleted and I had to reinstall everything.  I'm planning on getting a new laptop soon because my current one has never really been able to handle Photoshop, but I want to have Photoshop on the new one.  If I upgrade to CS6 on my current laptop would I get 2 new copies like when I originally got the program (so I can put the 2nd copy of CS6 on to a new laptop)?
I only ask this cause I don't have $700 to spend on a whole new Photoshop program and I couldn't find anything about how many copies (1 or 2) you get with an upgrade on the FAQ sections.
Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

  • Installing CS2Premium upgrade onto new laptop with Windows 8

I am trying to install a Creative Suite 2 Premium upgrade onto a new laptop with Windows 8.  The upgrade is from Photoshop 5.0, which I also have the original discs for, but is not installed on this new laptop.  Therefore, the upgrade is not being recognized.  I tried putting the 5.0 disc in and having the installation search for it as verification, but that wasn't working.  I realize both of these programs are ancient, but they are what I have.  So be it.  :-)  Can someone help me figure out how to get my CS2 upgrade to install?

    Hi tensuns,
You can download the CS2 Setup from the below mentioned link also please use the serial key mentioned in it.

  • Stolen laptop, putting adobe suite onto new laptop

My laptop was stolen a few weeks ago and it had my adobe suite. How to I go about getting all of that onto my new laptop? I also wasn't the one that initially installed the programs as they came on my computer when I got it from my college.

You may need to deal with your college most likely they have a Student Licence for some number of computers. So it may be their licence... When you sign in to Adobe.com does this link https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html show you have some Adobe Suite version.  If it does click on it to retrieve your serial. Try to install the suite on your new machine see if there is an available activation for your use.

  • Getting apps onto new laptop itunes account

I have authorized my new laptop for my itunes account.
I have ticked all the boxes for Music, TV Shows, Books, Apps etc
I have an iCloud account that appears to be working.
So where are my apps and books that I purchased through itunes languishing?
    marionmac56

    Hello there, MarionMac56.
To get your apps onto your MacBook Pro, the following Knowledge Base article should prove quite helpful:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
Specifically the section "Apps, Books, Music, Movies or TV shows on a computer":
    Using iTunes 11 or later
Open iTunes on your computer. (You can download the latest version of iTunes here.)
Make sure that you have "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases" enabled in your iTunes preferences by going to iTunes > Preferences under the Store tab. Then, click OK.
If you're not already signed in, choose Store > Sign In, and enter your Apple ID and password.
After you've signed in, click the Library button located in the upper-right of the iTunes Store.
Navigate to your iTunes library for the respective content type you wish to download using the content selector in the upper-left. Choose Music to download songs, Movies to download movies, and so on.
Locate the item or title you wish to download.
Click the download icon to download that item.
Note: The download icon for previously purchased movies is located to the right of the movie title. To download previously purchased apps and books, you'll need to navigate to the Purchased page under the Quick Links section in the iTunes Store. For more information, follow the steps outlined below for iTunes 10.7 or earlier.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities for answers to your question.

  • How to get old iTunes onto new laptop???

My original laptop which has my iPod 4 and iPhone 4 linked to it has now died a death and so new laptop has now been brought (after a drama with a iPad) and now I am struggling to get my iTunes (with everything on) onto my new Laptop. How do I get my iTunes back so that I can link my products to the new laptop?

    Hi fionafromharrow,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
If the content in your iTunes library was all purchased or downloaded from iTunes, you can download those items again for free as long as they are still available in the iTunes Store. Please use the attached article as a guide for downloading your past purchases.

    Greetings BevAnneS,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like it does not recognize that iTunes is installed. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read this article, Don't uninstall these components in a different order, or only uninstall some of them.

  • Apps Won't Sync Onto New Laptop

Whenever i download an app on to my new laptop it will not sync onto my ipod touch. When i plugged my ipod into my old laptop the sync message said " syncing ipod, step 1 of 4 ", on the new laptop it says " step 1 of 1 ". When i click on the app tab on My ipod i cannot scroll the the various screens, its as if they are not highlighted. The laptop is authorized.
    Would appreciate any help,  thanks.

Can you transfer your purchases from your ipod to your new computer? Before you connect, make sure autosync is turned off in iTunes/Preferences/Devices.
You can only sync to one computer at a time. Connecting to another iTunes will erase the content of your device and replace it with the content of the new iTunes library.
