Reinstall or Repair Elements 6
I open E6 in Edit and open 5 images. I go to create->photo collage. There is nothing in Theme or Layout. I have selected a size and changed the page # at the bottom and click Done. Nothing happens! What am I missing?
In my original posting I inadvertently put E7 rather than E6. However I did not get any response.
As a result I decided to repair or reinstall E6. When I tried, I get a message that asks me to install Disc 1. But I only have one disc, the installation disc. Now what do I do? Please help!
You have to uninstall and reinstall. Repair installs don't work in any version of PSE/windows.

Safari is non-responsive after intitial start up. Before it can load the homepage (google), it will hang and give a perpetual pinwheel until I force quit the program. Thanks for thinking about my problem. I've already experimented with creating a new user, a co-administrator. The programs don't crash when that account is running, just as they don't crash when the guest-user's account runs. So it seems that the problem is limited to the default user's account, which is the one that was running when I installed the updates to the OS and the firmware. Another clue is that the programs that crash as soon as they are launched are *probably* the ones that were open at that time in that account. Yet deleting Saved Application States does not keep the programs from crashing when next launched.
So the mystery continues, but these additional facts will help with the diagnosis, I hope.

Help. Need to reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and Premier Elements 12. Download and save both files to the same folder then double click on the file2 (a .exe file) to start the unpack of the other file. May take a little while to get going.
Or you could copy the contents of the DVD to a memory stick on the PC with the DVD drive and then use that.

Oop I finally found the answer myself from the onOneSoftware.com website in the support area. the answer is :

PS: I only deleted the old obsolete OnOne plugins,and left their newer plugins, That worked and now Elements 10 is working just fine -

After wiping my computer clean, I had to reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 but realized I no longer have the box with the serial number. I purchased the softward from a camera company called B&H Photo but they don't do anything but ship. I have the external box with barcode but not the internal box with serial number. Ned, the page you just gave me is where I started. Clicking on "Adobe Elements 12" opens a table describing the product with links because of the way it's set up, I thought the table was inviting me to download the Japanese version or the German version, but no English!

I had both Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 working on my Windows 8 machine. I uninstalled Premiere for troubleshooting reasons. I am trying to reinstall from disc. The disc spins a lot, I select the Premiere button and then the installation process freezes. wal1.

I checked that the Adobe Premiere Elements was not installed. I verified on the on the uninstall screen in control panel. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and 10 installed. When I uninstalled the Adobe Premier Elements 11 I asked it to keep its settings when prompted.
I downloaded the ccleaner. (backing up the registry settings) last night.
This am, I tried to connect to the internet to check email and such. My cisco Linksys E420 wifi router stopped talking to my cable providers Motorola Surfboard modem. Only the top four green lights were on and the yellow blinking PC/activity light failed to light. Cisco AnyConnect says it can't do anything because there is no internet connection. I connected my laptop via Ethernet cable to the cable modem, bypassing the router to get web and email connectivity.
My priority now is to restore function with my wifi service to the household.
The reason that I was troubleshooting and uninstalled the Adobe Premiere Elements 11 was that I have Pixela ImageMixer SE 3 that came bundled with my Canon Vixia HF20 and was trying to restore functionality to the Pixela video library and video editor. I like the way that it renames sequential .mts files to the format (folder=YYYYMMDD and contained within is the YYYYMMDDTTTTSS.mts) format, it makes it easier to find files manually through File Explorer. The Pixela SW was locking up after reinstalling it and gave a window that said updating files then froze. The SW is light and simple and provided an alternative to the heavier Premiere. Pixela Support suggested a SW conflict with another CODEC and suggested uninstalling the Premiere Elements to see if that worked and then reinstalling the Premier Elements from disc. No guarantees that it would work correctly with Windows 8 though. Premiere Elements then failed to reinstall.
I may be on and off the air until the wifi is working properly.
How do I revert to the old registry settings. Or, am I better off trying to get the CiscoConnect going by its smart key or other settings.

I cannot reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements. I had to reinstall my OS (7) last night. The "setup" keeps saying that I need Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. I have 9.0. Can you help me? Thanks.
OK. I didn't have any problems when I reinstalled it last year. But it's probably the version of Explorer that is loaded now. Perhaps the Dell representative I'm working with can help me out with this when he calls me on Sunday. Otherwise, perhaps I can use Paint, which came installed on my OS. I'm a typesetter, not a graphic designer. So I really only need an image-editing program for cropping figures that come in from the authors. I'll check it out. I'm not in a position to spend more money than I absolutely have to at this time.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 has been working fine up until I had to uninstall it last week. I am using Windows XP. I inserted the CD for reinstall. It works fine at validating, copying files and then asks for the CD to be re-inserted. I re-insert the CD and it stops right there. Will not complete the download.
