Reinstall Photo Stream album

Having purchased & setup Apple TV this weekend, I want to stream my photos. I logged in to my AppleID and photostream is empty. I looked on my phone and can't locate the Photo Stream album. I 'deleted' iCloud and added iCloud back. I've seen all the help documents pointing me to the Settings -> iCould. I do NOT have an option for Photo Stream. I know I had it at one point after the iOS5 upgrade. Can anyone provide suggestions for 'reinstalling' the photo stream album (and connect it to iCloud)?

Thank you but to no avail. When I restarted the phone, went to Settings/iCloud, my appleID was pre-filled and waiting fo rmy password. I entered it and all the same options (as screen shot) were present.
I only have one iCloud account.
I believe the only change I made to icloud was added 'find my phone'. This morning, in an early attempt to troublshoot, I used iCloud.com 'advanced' option to RESET Photo Stream.
I am still unable to find any way to 'restore' the original iCloud options.

  • Sync issue - I have an iPhone 5 running latest software 7.1.1. Since the update I noticed that my photos weren't syncing in My Photo Stream album on my pc.

I have an iPhone 5 running latest software 7.1.1. Since the update I noticed that my photos weren't syncing in My Photo Stream album on my pc. The photos taken do show up in My Photo Stream folder on my iphone and ipad. I have googled and noticed that this is quite a widespread problem.
I must stress that I have never had a problem with photos from my iPhone not syncing with my pc before. This is the first time I have encountered this problem, so this has nothing to do with my Wi-Fi or my pc because nothing has changed in that respect. My pc's operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
6 days ago I took steps to try and kick start syncing again by uninstalling the iCloud panel on my pc.
    1. Uninstalled the iCloud panel.
    2. I saved all the photos that were in my My Photo Stream on my pc to another folder.
    3. Deleted the My Photo Stream folder.
    4. Rebooted.
    5. Downloaded  iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows from support Apple site and installed on my pc.
    6. Logged in to iCloud, set up syncing.
    7. Rebooted.
I noticed that there is now a folder on my pc called iCloud Photos with subfolders which one is My Photo Stream as well as my share iPhone folders.
The photos are still not syncing.
I have only 34 photos in My Photo Stream on my pc.
I have deliberately taken random photos over the last few days since the actions of uninstalling and re installing the iCloud panel.
Out of a dozen which I took yesterday, only one has showed up in My Photo Stream on my pc. Only 6 photos out of  fifty photos which I have taken since uninstalling/reinstalling the iCloud panel have appeared in My Photo Stream on my pc.
My iPhone shows that I have 980 photos in My Photo Stream so it shows that something is not quite right with syncing to the pc.
Hopefully someone has an answer or a fix?
    Thanks for reading.

    Hi Amish,
I should have mentioned that I have signed out of the iCloud Control Panel several times and no syncing occurs.
Thanks for your response anyway. I appreciate your feedback.

  • HT201317 No"My Photo Stream" album

I have an iphone 4s and i have been reading that i can use photo stream to store my pictures on the icloud using my photo stream. I have been using photo stream but the only streams i have is my shared photo streams how do i create a my photo stream album? I have the icloud control pannel installed on my computer and that contains the my photo stream album but has no pictures in it as if my phone is not properly linked to it or something. What do i need to do to get this to setup correctly?

You might try uninstalling the iCloud control panel for Windows (listed as "iCloud" on the uninstall programs list), then reinstall the latest version again from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455.

  • How can I add photos from Camera Roll to the Photo Stream album?

How can I add photos taken during the past month from my Camera Roll to the Photo Stream album?

    Hi,
It's easy to do in iPhoto11 (click on a photo in iphoto and select share in the bottom right corner, then select Photo Stream), I'm not sure you can do this on the iphone.
    Regards

  • Is there a way to reorder the Photo Stream Albums on my iOS Device?

I have been searching for a way to change the order of my Photo Stream albums on my iPhone/iPad/MacBook Air to no avail.  Is there a way to change the order that they are shown within the Photo Stream in my photos?  Thanks

I've been looking for the same thing.  It would seem to be a good feature for Apple to add.
I have found one workaround that may be helpful to you, although it's a bit of a pain.  The images appear in the order that you add them to the stream.  And you can select the images from the stream itself to add them again.  So what I did is
    1.  Add all the pictures I need to the stream.
    2.  Determine the order I want them in.
    3.  From the stream, add the pictures again one by one (using "select" within the stream, then the little "send to" icon).
    4.  Delete the originals from the stream.
    And this did the trick.

  • My iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1.1) only lets me take 50 photos before it fills up. My Photo Stream album has 1000 photos in it. Is that preventing me taking more photos?

The iCloud FAQ seems to say iCloud does NOT automatically physically download and store all its photos back on all your devices, yet I'm sure the reason I can't take very many photos is because iCloud is doing just that....sending photos I already deleted from the phone's (non-photo-stream) standard photo library back to the phone and thereby filling up my phone's hard drive. I thought PhotoStream and iCloud held your photos in the "cloud" so you could view them THERE; but it looks like when the "cloud" is "full", the phone is full too (the FAQ says photos don't affect the 5GB free storage on the cloud, yet it sure seems the "cloud" affects the storage on my phone).
Is there a way to tell iCloud to NOT use my phone as it's hard drive?
I like the concept of having every photo automatically uploaded to the "cloud"...but shouldn't I be able to take more pictures when the "cloud" is "full" with 1000 photos?
If I delete the photos from my photo stream album, it says all the photos will be deleted from everywhere, including the "cloud". And, the only way to save them is to manually save them to the phone (they're already there....as described above) or manually save them to iPhoto (my Mac is an older MacMini that can't use any OS above 10.6.8, so iCloud isn't available to my desktop Mac).
Here are the options as I see them:
    1. Turn off PhotoStream and give up on using the "cloud" or "iCloud" entirely. Make sure to back up those photos I want to keep regularly in iPhoto when I back up my phone. (I had this naive idea iCloud was intended to simplify this....)
    2. Manually go through the 1000 photos that are apparently now back on my phone in the "Photostream album" and decide, viewing them ON the tiny phone screen, which ones should be manually deleted and which to keep, hoping that frees up enough space on the phone to be able to use the camera.
    3. Just delete the entire photostream album, and therefore all the photos on my iPad and in iCloud, and accept that I didn't really want them anyway?
Is there any other option? Do I have to choose between PhotoStream and storage space on my phone, if I want to use the phone's camera after "1000 photos" reside in iCloud? The way it seems to be going, I will ALWAYS be fighting for storage on my phone as long as iCloud is "on"...no sooner than I delete photos from Photostream, every new photo will just be downloaded BACK to the phone anyway.
I'm almost at my wit's end.....is iCloud/PhotoStream ALL OR NOTHING?

Please disregard this question. I'll submit a shorter and more direct question. Thanks.

  • How do I back up my photo stream album photos (not in camera roll) to USB?

Is their a way I can directly save my photo stream to my computer? I have deleted many pictures from my camera roll and wish to keep photos in their respective photostream albums as there are over a thousand!  The only way I can seem to do it is to save the pictures back to my camera roll and back up to USB as normal but that then duplicates any photos I haven't deleted in the camera roll?! Help!

How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream?
You can delete photos from your Photo Stream the same way you delete other photos from your device. Just select the photo you want to remove and tap or click Delete. When you delete a photo from Photo Stream on one device, iCloud will automatically delete it from the Photo Stream album or view on your other devices.
Note: Deleting individual photos from Photo Stream is supported by iOS 5.1 or later, iPhoto 9.2.2 or later, Aperture 3.2.3 or later, and Apple TV Software Update 5.0 or later. You will need to manually delete photos you downloaded to iOS devices running iOS 5.0.1 or earlier after updating to iOS 5.1.
The photos you want to keep, back them up on your comp or on another drive

  • How do I remove the extra photo stream albums?

Using an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.
When I take a photo using the Camera App, the Photos App creates a new, separate, Photo Stream Album with only 1 photo.
Now I have 50+ Photo Stream albums.
Here is what I've tried, but still cannot remove these albums (in no particular order):
    - Turned on/off Photo Stream.
    - Deleted iCloud account from iPhone
    - Reset Photo Stream from iCloud.com
    - Forced quit Photos App (and all other apps)
    - Restarted the iPhone
    - Deleted all photos via Image Capture
    - Attempted to "edit" albums, but no option to delete
But still, these photos and albums still remain. I am able to tap on an album, see the picture, and have the option to save it to my camera roll (but it doesn't actually save it to the camera roll).
One final obervation, every time I turn on/off Photo Stream, it creates an additional empty Photo Stream album. So now the list of albums keeps growing.
Very odd behavior. Any suggests from the community before I do a complete restore?
    Thanks for your suggestions.

I have a similar problem. I told iTunes not to sync any photos and delete whatever was there. Then I turned off Photostream. Even when I did that I have an extra Photostream with no photos in it. There's no way to delete it.

  • Can I have 2 My Photo Stream Album on my iCloud Account?

    Hi!
We have 3 Apple TV's set-up in our space in different locations and using 1 icloud account, just want to know if it's possible to have 3 different My Photo Stream Album so we have 3 different sets of photos on each apple tv. If YES, how? If no, is there any way to do that?
    Thanks

No you can't. But what you can do is when you want to see your sons account just sign out of yours and sign in to his. Then when you want to use yours just sign in with yours. It will only take a minuet or so to do this. And you can save usage capacity by only having one

  • Photos not appearing in photo stream album?

I have an iPhone 4. All aspects of iCloud work except for photo stream. When I take a photo with my iPhone it appears in the camera roll but doesn't get copied into the 'photo stream album'. Therefore it never gets synced across the cloud to my Macbook Air.
However, my Macbook Air, using Aperture can successfully sync photos to my iPhone but can't recieve them.
Therefore, it appears to be a problem with the iPhone end of the service and not iCloud in general.
Have you come across this problem, would a backup and restore of the iPhone be recommended?
    Many thanks.
    Alex

Hi, I had the same issue although it's my new iPhone4S! That whenever I took new photos with the phone they just did not synch into the photo stream. Then I think I might found the solution. I started deleting some photos from my Camera Roll album (I had over 1,300 photos there), and when the number dropped down below that magic number (1,300), the new photos I took then got synched to the photo stream!!! Oh Ya! Hopefullly this can also be the solution for you guys!

  • IPhoto and photo stream albums

Please help me. I am trying to move pictures from my photo stream album into an existing event.

OT, i tried to highlight and drag as suggested here but it doesnt work.
o manually import photo stream photos to your iPhoto library:
In iPhoto, drag one or more photos from Photo Stream view to Photos in the Source list.
I think the only way I can do it is to export them to a file on my hard drive, create an event and click and drag into that event folder. Then merge it to the event I want them in. Seems to be a lot of steps? What am I missing?

  • Missing Photo Stream Album in iPhoto

I'm hoping someone can help me. My Photo Stream album seems to be missing from my iPhoto. It use to be there but one day, it just disappeared. I already unchecked and checked under Preference to see if it would appear but it didn't work. Please help!

Add any photo stream photos in iPhoto that are not in photo stream on your phone to a shared stream and invite yourself as a subscriber, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/mac/9.4/#pht5f6df5f0.

No. Shared streams are removed from iCloud only if you delete the photo stream.

  • Photo stream album isn't deleted and still accessible

I have shared a new photo through the new photo stream option at iOS6, at the begining I made it public in order to test, then I have deleted all members and disabled the public access but the picture is still public and even accessible even if I deleted the entire shared folder?? Any help?

I figured it out! If you go to where your photo stream albums are, click the arrow next to the album (you can't just click on the name of the album), and there will be options for it, including deleting the entire album! Woo-hoo!
