Reinstall Photoshop 9 to Mac OSX 10.8.3?

I get exit code error 7.
I tried the "Live Support". They said they would help me then they said they wouldn't help me and told me to come here.
This is a reinstall, from disk, after my hard drive crashed. I have never had so much trouble with a disk installation in 20 years!

are you installing onto a newly formatted disk?
if yes, uninstall all cs3 apps and run the cleaner: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html, then restart your computer and reinstall.
if no, what have you done to fix remove errors from your harddrive?

That is correct Das_Sad. CS2 will not run on Intel based processors under Mac OS. You will need to find a Mac computer with a PowerPC processor if you wish to run Creative Suite 2.

Free filter or/ plug-in set? for "OIL PAINT" - to download & add to Photoshop CS 5 (Mac OSX 10.8) ?

I have the CS 5 Suite instaled on 2 of my Macs (per Adobe licensing). I upgraded (aftwrward, in 2012) just the Photoshop CS 5 app to Photoshop CS 6. There is a GREAT filter [then new] with PS CS 6 called "Oil Paint". I hope to be able to find out from anyone if there a free and compatible: filter, filter set, or plug-in(s) set, so I can add the filter "OIL PAINT" - to download & add to Photoshop CS 5 (Mac OSX 10.8) ?

PS - I downloaded Pixel Bender - but that does not seem to provide what I am looking for..! In fact - after I installed it - it is NOT embedded in Photoshop CS 5, contrary to Adobe's claim that once you install it - it will be there in CS 5. Pixel Bender opens separately; and looks to be [only] a-user-definable add-on for PS CS 5+ [and done via custom user progamming changes - which on first glance did NOT seem easy to figure out. And I AM a programmer, beside being a highly creative person (for decades), and with all forms of digital media).

Please advise: I have the [circa 2010] 64-bit v.CS 5 Photoshop (et.al) - that has been updated by Adobe a few times, by my choice- or by their automatic update method (which I try NOT to utilize, automatically: I like to know what it is that is being installed BEFOEit happens. Think the now unstoppable Google Chrome v32 for Macs. Unbelievable gall from Google; and it breaks anything that is supposed to run /stream from the web in Apple Inc's QUICKTIME). Anyway: When I clicked on your provided link (above), it brought meto the PIXEL BENDER page, including numerous archived PLUG-IN downloads; Neither of the URIs (for a plug-in that enables OIL PAINT filter in PS CS 5) - for any of the offered 64-bit Mac OXS plug-ins /downloads. Nothing happens. Can you please explain more; or perhaps what it is I am doing wrong? NOTE: I did not "sign in" at the time, to the Adobe site with my Adobe account ID /pwd; but then - I did not think I HAVE to sign in download a freely available plug-in.

Photoshop CC with Mac OSX 10.6.8?

Sorry, this is my first time and I hope I'm in the right section.
So I need to download photoshop, and when I checked out the system requirements it says "Mac OS X v10.7, v10.8, or v10.9"
I have a Mac OSx 10.6.8, I was wondering if it would work?
I've downloaded Maya2014 which also requires " Apple® Mac OS® X 10.7.x or 10.8.x" and it works just fine.
I just want to know if it will be compatible before I buy it?

I did have PS CC running under Snow Leopard when I first purchased the CC subscription (using Mavericks now). I don't if it's been changed since then. Other CC apps will come right out and say they can't be install in SL when you try, and that Lion is the minimum OS.
You can download the trial version of PS CC here. It's the same software, just not activated. So if it installs without any type of notice about the OS you're running, you should be good to go.

I could only find an update for Mac OSX 10.4, but not 10.7?

Languages are serial number specific. You cannot change them on the fly. If your serial number supports it, you would have to install it in English. anything beyond that is a hack like stripping the localization files from the app package...

How to reinstall audio drivers on Mac OSX 10.5.8?

On Mac OSX 10.5.8 i have a problem with not working sound. It does work on turning on my Mac, but it does not work in system. When I put F11-F12 it's grey and permamently mute. I ve tried everything, but nothing helps...
From options, which should I choose:
1. Install Linux on another disc?
2. Come back from 10.5.8 to 10.5.7 (sound works)? - and how to do it?
3. something else? no other ideas...

Reinstall Flash CS3 for Mac OSX

Recently had to replace the hard drive on my Mac Book Pro. Data transfer to the new hard drive went well EXCEPT for my attempts to reinstall Flash CS3 and Flash Player (I'm forgetting the name of the latest and greatest version of the media player--forgive my temporary ignorance). I followed all of the procedures outlined in the ReadMe file. Have tried it several times to no avail. I keep getting an error message at the end of the reinstall process and the program will not open. All of the application files appear to be on my hard rive. Something is missing or needs to be repaired. I just don't know where to start to find out what needs to be repaired or replaced or updated. I suspect that because there have been numerous updates to Flash player, something related is interfering with the reinstall process. Any advice help would be appreciated.

Trouble installing Photoshop CS6 on Mac OSX lion

I bought Photoshop CS6 extended and am trying to install it on my Mac OSX Lion v. 10.7.4 and I keep coming up with the install error of:

This comes up after I get the install bar and it only makes it to 1-2% installed.
What can I do so that I can install the program on to my computer. I know that I have more than enough free hard drive space for the program (based on its requirements).

Photoshop Elements for Mac OSX 10.5.6 Version?

I'm confused. Is there an Elements for Mac in Version 7. I called the sales line and they told me that for a Mac I would choose Version 6 for Mac??? Is Version 7 for Windows equal to Version 6 for Mac?

Yes, there is no version 7 for mac, but it doesn't really matter, since most of the changes between 6 and 7 were bug fixes in the organizer and the push to use photoshop.com. In the editor, there aren't huge differences between the two programs, just a couple of new tools. For 10.5.6 PSE 6 is the one you want, especially if you have an intel mac.

How do I uninstall Photoshop CS2 on Mac OSX 6.4.11

I am getting the error "Could not complete your request because of a program error" on starting CS2 or on doing any operations.
I have tried simply trashing the CS2 folder and reinstalling. Get same error.
Need to uninstall other parts. How do I do that???
I cannot locate an uninstaller

At least since CS3, for sure, there's an uninstaller for Photoshop that gets installed in ./Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers/ when you install Photoshop. Can't remember whether there was one for CS2 already or not.
Re-installing without first trashing Photoshop preferences is futile, as you end up right back where you started. To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Command+Option+Shift. Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"; or remove the files manually. This tech note describes the location of Photoshop preferences files in CS4; I can't immediately locate a similar note for CS2.
You should also Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility before and after every installation, re-install, update or upgrade of any application or the OS.

My Photoshop CS3 for Mac Osx won't start up

I've tried everything, reports and uninstall to reinstall with the CD and it still won't pass the start up point.
It goes to open after the start up period then freezes for 2 seconds then closes.
Then a box comes up saying that photoshop quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to
try again which i do and i does it over and over again or report to apple which doesn't do
anything as apple cant help.
Can anyone give me guidance what to do would be much appreciated

Never Mind found out the problem buy deleting Twain devices i havent used recently yaay photoshop works again!
