Reinstall Photoshop CS6?

I already have Photoshop CS6 installed on my computer. Do I need to reinstall Photoshop CS6 when I join Creative Cloud?
Thanks!
Bill K.

No. If all goes well, the application manager will recognize existing installs and simply latch on to them.

I am unable to reinstall Photoshop CS6 (I do have the serial number) on my Macbook Pro 10.9.5 (Mavericks os). and am getting the message "Installation on case-sensitive volumes is not supported.  Please choose a different volume for installation."  I am further told that "Adobe apps cannot be installed on case-sensitive drives, you need to Install the product onto an HFS+ or HFSJ non-case-sensitive drive."
What I don't understand is this:  I originally bought and installed Photoshop CS6 back in March 2013, and it worked fine.  Yesterday my hard drive had to be replaced and my computer person salvaged as much of what was on it as he could, but now I have to reinstall Photoshop.  1) Why did it work before and it's not working now?  2) Is there anything I can do that does not involve reformatting the hard drive?

It means what it says. The "computer person" formatted it wrongly/ unsuitably. it needs to be formatted again.

  • Reinstalling photoshop CS6 extended

I have to reformat my hard drive and reinstall photoshop CS6. Will Adobe recognize that I am not just installing the program on another computer but that I am using my legal software and let me use the program?
I hope I am making sense.

If your computer isnt yet completly dead and you have the ability to boot up Photoshop you can deactivate it from the help menu giving you back one of your activations. That is assuming you can access your computer (which I realise you may not be able to do).
    Cheers

Windows 7, Photoshop cs6 : I need to reinstall photoshop cs6 that is down on my PC. What is the procedure?

You shouldn't have to deactivate it if it's the same computer.  Remove photoshop as best you can using Windows Uninstall.  Then reinstall a new copy from here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html
Make sure you select the same version that you had before (extended or not, same OS, etc).  It shouldn't be an issue if it's the same computer.

  • I want to reinstall photoshop CS6 with serial number - where is the site?

I want to reinstall photoshop CS6 with serial number - where is the site?

If you purchased it as a download you should have a link to download it in your Adobe account online.  Otherwise you can download the trial version and use your serial number to activate it.

An alternative site for downloading the trial version follows but you need to follow the instructions carefully for the download to work.

  • After reinstalling Photoshop CS6 Bridge is very slow. It takes 15 sec to respond to a mouse click. Photoshop is OK.

I had to reinstall Photoshop CS6 after rebuilding my PC. Now Bridge takes 15 sec to respond to a mouse click. Photoshop is fine. I have installed all updates.
    Any thoughts?

Slow as compared to what?  Have you seen better performance with older versions of Photoshop?
    >after app launched, it takes nearly 5 seconds to be able to browse through menus
Takes my system longer than that to start Photoshop CS5, and while my computer isn't a top-of-the-line workstation today (it was a few years ago), it's no slouch.  Photoshop has never been a fast application to start up.

  • Reinstall Photoshop CS6, serial # not recognized

Please help.  Had to reformat pc.  Trying to reinstall photoshop cs6 but installer says my serial no. is not valid.  It was an upgrade so went back and tried previous serial no., that didn't work.  Tried, original serial no. of cs2 and that didn't work.  Help.....

If its an update you will need two serials.  Your upgrade serial and one of your prior upgrade serial or you original product serial.  You should be able to get these serials by logging on to Adobe.com with your Adobe user ID and Password.  Then go to My Adobe then My Producrs  and click on your CS6 and Prior products to see your serial numbers.

  • Installing Adobe Photoshop CC / Updade or reinstall Photoshop CS6

I installed now Photoshop CC on my MacBook too and registered succesfully with my Adobe ID. But now, when I want to start Photoshop CC, it asks me for a serial number or gives me the only other possibilty to use Photoshop CC for 30 days to test it. I think I never got a serial number when I started paying monthly for Adobe CC. How can I solve this problem?
2nd problem: I wanted to update Adobe Photoshop CS6 on my MacBook. I got the error code U44M1P7. I deleted CS6 on my MacBook and wanted to reinstall it from the Adobe Site, but I cannot find the place on your homepage to download it.

    Hi Thomas Wyser,
Please refer to the mentioned link, as CC apps do not require serial number:

For the error code U44M1P7 and to download the products refer to the below mentioned links:

  • How do I reinstall Photoshop CS6 on OS Lion (Mac)

Being subscribed to Adobe Creative Cloud I finally decided to uninstall my redundant copies of CS
Since doing this, When I launch Photoshop CS6 I get the following dialog window:
"One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing.  Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop."
    Here is the problem.
I do not see any way to uninstall any of the CS6 programs other than of course teh CS6 individual program uninstallers. I would use that for Photoshop, however, because I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat X Pro (it was crashing each time a PDF was opened) using the uninstaller... I have not been able to reinstall Acrobat X - teh Adobe Ap mangaer tells me it is already installed.
I NEED photoshop to be available since I use it daily for work. If I uninstall it as I did Acrobat - there is no way to reinstall (since Adobe Ap Manger does not give an option for reinstall - only the grayed out "installed" indicator)
I have deactivated Photoshop CS6 - closed it, relaunched it and it seems to have reautheticated ... but that message to uninstall and reinstall continues at start up.
By the way - Photoshop works fine... it is just an annoying startup message. Regardless... it is an annoyance I would prefer not happen.
Anyone have any helpful answers to this uninstall reinstall dilema with Creative Cloud? Also, by the way - I do not have a working version of Acrobat anymore despite Adobe App Manager telling me it is installed - it does not allow me to download and launch a new version of Acrobat.

Thanks CollinVa !  I ended up in a chat support and found a resolution which i will post in the other Adobe forums in case others run into the same difficulty.
On the Mac, in the applications folder are CS6 apps downloaded from Creative Cloud, and inside each products folder is that products uninstaller. That is the uninstaller I used the first time to remove Acrobat X Pro.
After removal by that means, Acrobat Application Manager was still verifying that my removed app was still installed. There was no way to reinstall (Acrobat).
What I was told by the chat tech was to got to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers Which is from where he recomended I do all my uninstalls.
So, from there I clicked on Acrobat X Pro and followed the screen instructions.
When I then launched Adobe Application Manager, teh Install button next to Acrobat was active and I was able to reinstall Acrobat.
I followed suit with Photoshop CS6, removing it from the Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers folder. Then launched AAM and the install next to Photoshop was available. I downloaded it and intalled ... everything is working fine.

  • How to reinstall Photoshop CS6?

An update to Photoshop CS6 failed.  The error message indicated I had to reinstall the program.  I believe I originally downloaded it.  How do I reinstall it?

Please download the setup again from Internet and keep a copy of it for future use.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-download s.html
Please download both files, Navigate to the directory where you saved the installation files and double-click the .exe(file1), this would extract the installation files.
After the files finish extracting, the installer launches automatically. If it doesn’t, go to the folder that contains the extracted files. Double-click Set-up.exe to begin installation.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install
When prompted for a serial number, enter your serial number and complete the installation.
    Follow the instructions mentioned carefully.

  • Reinstall Photoshop CS6 from Cloud?

Having problems with Photoshop CS6. I downloaded from the Creative Cloud subscription I purchased and it worked fine for a few days. But now, when I launch photoshop, I get the error:
"one or more files in the Adobe Appliation Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and reinstall Photoshop."
I can't figure out how to reinstall it! can someone help me?

    HI
As you are on mac, i would like to ask on equestion,
did u tried to move any files for Photoshop form application folder  ?
Because this error only comes up when one of the required file is missing from the location
You have to uninstalll and then install Photoshop again
For uninstallation please goto this location : /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder and then uninstall the photoshop by clicking the uninstaller from there.
Then again goto creative cloud website and then download and install it from there.
Plea make sure do not move any file for any program after installation, otherwise it will give the same error

  • Reinstalling Photoshop CS6 Student and Teacher Edition

My Photoshop CS6 is crashing every time I start it up. I've tried all the troubleshoot options (deleting prefs etc.). I want to do a clean install of the program as I have the original disk which I purchased, however it is the Student and Teacher Edition. I am a university student so to activate it I had to send my details off and have them confirmed etc. If I uninstall photoshop and install it again will the Serial Number Adobe sent me still work? I don't want to have to pay for it all over again. Cheers

Yes, you can reinstall the program without having to pay for it again or reverifying your student status.
