Reinstalled CS4 from Time Machine

Now I have an AMT Subsystem Failure. I have got a deadline looming tonight. Can anyone help me with this? It is an error 5

If you have installed CS4  from Time Machine, you might face some licensing issues. So, best option for you is to uninstall the existing CS4 installation from Applications->Utilities->Adobe Installers folder and then install CS6 using the installer(dvd or download) that you have.
In case you do not have the installer for CS4. You can check the below link but make sure first you follow the mentioned instructions properly.

Do I need to uninstall CS4 and reinstall?
    Unfortunately yes.
Also run the Cleaner Tool prior to reinstalling
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Restoring from Time Machine backups invariably breaks the activation mechanism (Error 150:30) and there's no easy way to fix a 150:30 error other than via re-installing.

  • Reinstall Mail from Time Machine??

Last week, I found one of my cat sitting on my opening laptop.  When I pushed her off, my mail program was all messed up.  Now random things go to spam.  One of my email accounts does sync anymore and keeps asking me for my password.  I have lost full folders from multiple accounts.  It is a mess.  How can I reinstall just the Mail app from Time Machine from a week ago??
    I am using
    Mail Version 8.2 (2070.6)
    OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2
    I have a MacBook Pro
    Please Help

Time Machine backups can be restored from OSX's Recovery Partition. However, restoring from a Time Machine backup from a week ago will mean that your computer will be exactly as it was a week ago, so store any new and important documents on a flash drive/cloud storage service so you don't lose them. Once you have done this, do the following:
Turn up your computer's volume, and make sure it is not muted.
Reboot your computer, and when you hear the "Ding", hold down Command + R until the Apple logo and progress bar appear.
Wait for it to load. It may take a while.
Once it does, you should see a screen that says "OSX Utilities". Connect the drive with your Time Machine backups now.
Click the option that says "Restore from Time Machine Backup" and then click "Continue".
Do everything it tells you to do, and select the backup from a week ago.
Once finished, restore the important documents from the flash drive/cloud storage service
Hope it helps! Reply if you need further help and if you have any questions!

  • How do I retrieve and reinstall emails from Time Machine?(OS,10.9.3,Mavericks)

In BT,'s recent, break from,Yahoo to set up BT Mail all my email from 4 email boxes (going back to 2009) have disappeared from my mac. BT can't find them and I can't see them in Time Machine Backups. I'm desperate as I need many of this and last year's emails in order to check bank statements and to do my Tax Return. Please could anyone help me?

    Do a backup.
    Quit Mail.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/V2. Enter Time Machine and you can search from there.

  • Can't reinstall iTunes from time machine help?

Hi I have recently upgraded to Lion and want to get my itunes stored on time machine to the pc any ansewrs ?

    wrongusername wrote:
But if I transfer everything with the Setup Assistant, won't I once again be experiencing the problems I had?
If the problems were caused by your data. But that's extremely unlikely. It may have been an app, or, much more likely from your description, something corrupted in the Leopard OS. That's one of the problems with upgrading a sick system without knowing what or where the causes are. It's a bit like a brain surgeon operating on himself: if he isn't in tip-top shape to start with, his condition is likely to change, and not for the better.
Most of us would have recommended first simply doing a +*Repair Disk+* on your internal HD; if that didn't help, installing the "combo" Leopard update; if that didn't work, doing an +Archive and Install+ and re-installing the "combo."
After a clean re-install of Snow Leopard, my Mac worked fine again (except for the TM trouble). So it probably had something to do with my old files.
Probably not. Much more likely OSX was somehow damaged. And you got a whole new one.
How come I could read the files on my external HD and yet not be able to copy the files?
Time Machine uses special "deny everybody everything" permissions on it's backups, among other things, in an attempt to keep us mere mortals from moving, changing, or deleting things and corrupting them.

  • Reinstall mavericks from time machine

I will be installing a SSD in my Mac mini.
I can I install my Time Machine copy of Mavericks to the new SSD?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Of course. The only thing you will have to do is to connect the external drive with the Time Machine backup, hold the Option (Alt) key while your Mac is starting and choose the Time Machine disk. Then, select the option to restore a Time Machine backup and follow the steps.
It's easy to restore the Time Machine backup if it was created in Mountain Lion or Mavericks. You may have to format the SSD first with Disk Utility > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html

  • Reinstalling programs from Time Machine.

I want to do a clean out of my machine, as I've got quite a few unwanted programs installed and just stuff cluttering up my HD.
I currently have several TM Backups on an external disk, If I erase my machines HD and reinstall the OS will I then be able to reinstall the selected programs individually from the application folder of TM or will I need the original .dmg files?
Presumable I can also just reinstall the document folders I require individually as well?
    ped.

Your best bet, by far, is to simply delete what you don't want.
If you erase everything, install OSX and then use +Setup Assistant+ to transfer some of your stuff from backups, you can omit some broad categories of things, but you can't "pick and choose" individual apps, or individual files in your home folders. See [Using Setup Assistant|http://web.me.com/pondini/AppleTips/SetupAsst.html].
If you erase everything, install OSX and create a user account, so you can do selective restores via the "Star Wars" display, that account may or may not be recognized as the one on your backups, so may not have permission to restore the files.
Even if it is, you can restore some apps successfully, (simple ones, that were just dropped in the Applications folder), but you may need to re-enter any purchase keys or serial numbers.
The more complex apps, that came with their own installers, put other files in other places, usually in your top-level /Library folder. If you don't know what and where those are, and restore them, too, the app won't work properly, if at all.
Worse, some install "helper" apps, too. Often those are named similar to the main app, but sometimes they have different names, and may actually be from a different maker. Of course, these apps may have other files of their own!
To work properly, all such apps may need to be reinstalled from their original discs.

  • Any time I open a photo program the application freezes.  I want to reinstall OSX from the original disk and then restore my machine from time machine Will a restore from time machine only restore my Apps and data

Tried to post a question about restoring my i mac from time machine, but this new format makes no sense to me.  I want to restore my i mac from time machine after I reinstall the OS from the original disk.  Will a time machine restore only restore the applications and data or will it restore the current state of the OS.  My machine will not let me open any photo applications (aperture, I photo, NX 2) I have to force quit them every time I try to get some work done.

I bought a 160gb iPod classic every time I try to put music on my external hard drive only copy up to 1500 songs and then freezes Itune me and I can not close, asks me to restore the ipod as factory, and do nothing . I try to close the program and itune will not let me, I try to turn off the computer and I can not shut, I looked to see if the iPod disk errors and says it's okay. I restored it about 8 times and I've put music and videos but I always delete everything. I crushed and Selection Menu to enter diagnostic sistemade or ipod and I put the manual test where I enter the IO and q tells me everything is fine. I have already given several Format directly from the Windows 7 and anything either, I always delete everything from passing over 1300 songs and I congeal whole team. No longer have to think of this company because Apple gives no solution has this issue.

  • ITunes library disappeared and cannot reinstall from Time Machine

I have searched all support threads for my problem -- updated to Mavericks and all my playlists disappeared and audio files that the new itunes didn't seem to know what to do with (meditation i.e.) I've tried to reinstall from Time Machine, but all support threads refer to itunes library and folder which I don't have anymore. I drag it to the desktop and tried to reload from there. I tried to do it directly from TM but get the error message that says something about a file instead of a folder.

    Guitar21,
your MacBook Pro has booted into its Recovery mode. From the OS X Utilities menu, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Does it get to the login screen now?

    Have you heard of this?
    Thanks

We need a little more information to be able to help.
However my old photos seem corrupt within aperture.
What kind of corruption? And when do you see it? All your images, or only some? Are the images distorted, discolored, or not displayed at all?
Are you shooting in raw? Is your library referenced or managed? Is your library on your system volume or on an external harddrive?
And it would help to know your MacOS version and Aperture version too.

  • How to reinstall from time machine onto a new hard drive?

how to reinstall the system from time machine to a new hard drive?

If you are connected to the internet you can do this.
Boot your computer and immediately hold down command, option and R  (three keys together). This gets you connected with internet recovery.
See this article for more directions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718.
This process installs an OS on your blank drive. You can then boot from the fresh OS installation and restore from your Time Machine back up.
Note that you cannot boot from a TM back up.
