Reinstalled Lion; Now I can't sync purchased shows to iPad

I've been having issues with Lion locking up ever since it was released, so I finally got around to reinstalling it. Now when I try to sync purchased TV shows to my iPad it tells my it can not sync because my computer is not authorized for the content. Oddly I am able to sync *some* content purchased from the iTunes store.
I have tried authorizing my computer as suggested in the error message to no avail. I also tried deauthorizing it and reauthorizing it but that also was of no help. I'm really at a loss here and realy frustrated. Anyone know what's going on or have any other suggestions to try?

I have now also tried deauthorizing all computers associated with my account and reauthorizing my computer, but that did not help. I also tried syncing the show to my iPhone but received the same result.

  • I moved my library to an external hard drive. Now I can't sync photos on my iPad. Can anyone hep?

After moving my library to an external hard drive, I can't sync photos on my iPad. Has anyone had this problem?

    William,
Did you move all your photos to the external drive, or your library to the external drive, or both?
I have started wondering if photo sharing works if the source of the photo is an external drive.  I.e., what will iTunes do if you try to sync and your library is not accessible, because you stored it on an external drive and it is not plugged in?  Will it remove all of the Aperture photos from your iPad, since the source of the photos (Aperture library) is effectively empty, since it is missing?  Maybe iTunes takes that into account and just ignored libraries that are not local.
Can you see Aperture library in other application using a media browser, like Desktop & Screen Saver or iPhoto (browse Apertuer library)?

  • TS4488 can't sync tv shows to ipad

    Hi,
Since installing Itunes 11 i've hd a number of issues from artwork on tv shows being displayed for the wrong show. however, the big problem is i can only see a few of the tv shows we actually have in our library when we sync our iphnes / ipad.
    any ideas?
    Cheers

Did the show increase the resolution of the video? The maximum size the iPod can play is 640x480. You can see the video's resolution by doing a +Get Info+ on the video in iTunes.
If it is larger than 640x480, there is a command in iTunes, under the Advanced menu, to +Create iPod or iPhone version+.

  • Can't sync TV shows to Ipad

I have issues syncing my Ipad (version 1 32GB) to my Itunes. Even if I select to sync manually, and have no TV shows selected, I am told that there is no room available on my IPad. So it simply wont sync at all. How do I get my Computer to only transfer selected TV shows instead of assuming I want to transfer them all?

    Yes, windows to Mac too.
iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music [library] to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

I have an iPod touch 4g. It's white I just got it a week ago. It had iOS 5.0.1 for default. I could get music on my iPod with syncing it from my pc. If you have not taken the iPod apart, Apple will exchange it for a refurbished one for $99. You can do it an an Apple store

Add the ability to randomly select a new background from a pre selected group of photos every time the player is turned on or each day.
I would love that feature. I can't stand useing my computer with a single wall paper anymore (I have 500 anime pics that i rotate between every 2 mins ) If you could make the vision rotate background every x minutes or every time the player is turned on, it would be totally amazeningly sweet!!!! (i might have to go out and buy one then :P)
I just hope that creative has better firmware support with the vision than they have had with the touch.
    Once again, great review

  • Had problem with laptop so reinstalled it now itunes will not sync on both laptops, it did before.

Had problem with laptop so reinstalled it now itunes will not sync on both laptops, it did before to my iphone5 says cannot sync to 2 libraries until I reinstalled it did.

iDevices can only be synched with one library.  However, you can sync successfully with more than one computer if each has a copy of the same logical library - the identifier that iTunes uses to determine which library is synced an iDevice is recorded within the iTunes database (the iTunes Library.itl file).  The best approach is to replicate your complete library (database, media, artwork, associated files) from one PC to the other.  When you reinstalled iTunes on your laptop it will, by default, have created a new library with a distinct id from that of your other machine.  Even if you copied all your media from one to the other, iTunes will still see the libraries as distinct with respect to syncing iDevices.
If you have configured iTunes to organize your media and to copy files to the iTunes Media folder, then the complete library will be contained within (by default) C:\Users\username\Music\iTunes, with a structure of subfolders and key files like this:
If this is the case, you can (with iTunes not running on either machine):
Copy this iTunes folder from laptop 2 to laptop 1 (the one that's had iTunes reinstalled) - depending on the size of your library you can do this over a network, using a thumb drive, or an external (USB) hard driveNote this this assumes no media on laptop 1 that's not also on laptop 2 - if this isn't the case, there's a slightly different process to follow to ensure that this media is preserved and can be added to the "common" library
Once the copy is complete, make sure that iTunes is using the correct library database by holding down SHIFT as you start iTunes.  When you see this prompt:
select Choose Library..., navigate to the iTunes folder you just copied, select the iTunes Library.itl file you'll find there, and click Open.
For future reference, you can use turingtest2's user tip on Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy for a suitable method to backup your library to an external drive - you can then, with care, use this to keep the copies of your common library in sync across your laptops.

You cannot accidentally download Mavericks. You have to select to download it. You can always erase your drive and reinstall from the backup you made before you installed Mavericks.

And so now I can't sync my phone...
Any suggestions? Besides throwing my computer out!! haha
My macbook is older.. bought in.. 2009. So I realize things may not work exactly the same.

  • I updated the operating system on my Mac book and now I can't sync my Mac calendar to my iPhone 5. How do I fix this? No where in iTunes now do I see to sync my calendars...

I updated the OS on my Macbook pro and now I can't sync the calender to my iphone...it no lonver gives me the option. What happened?

OS X Mavericks takes away the ability for calendar/contacts syncing through the computer. You'll have to use iCloud, or manually type them in.

  • HT1386 I did a system restore on my computer.  When I had it up and running I downloaded the latest version of itunes.  Now I can't sync any new apps to my ipods.  What may be the problem?

I did a system restore on my computer.  When I had it up and running again, I downloaded the latest version of itunes.  Now I can't sync apps to my sons ipod.  What can I do to fix this?

If you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing and follow the instructions.
