Reinstalling Deamweaver MX 2400 on a new computer

I used Dreamweaver MX 2400 on my old computer with Vista until now. I did the procedure of desinstallation and change to new computer as provided.
I did install it on my new computer with Windows 7/64.
After installation, I tried to reactivate it with the original product code, the activation through Internet does not work, through phone numbers neither ??
How ca I reactivate my Dreamweaver MX 2400 ?????
thanks for your help.
Charles

Dreamweaver MX 2004 is a MAcromedia legacy product (pre-Adobe) and the servers for activation are no longer active.  Go to the following page to see how to deal with Macromedia legacy products...

  • Adobe After Effects CS6 - how to uninstall/reinstall or transfer license to a new computer

My old computer has crashed, and so I built a new one recently. I have been installing all the applications for it, downloading files, so on and so forth. I recently insterted one of the hardrives from my old computer, and was able to see the files I had from my old computer. All of my adobe applications are on there, and I can see them, however; I cannot use them, which is okay, since most of them were free applications that I could download from the website. But Adobe After Effects CS6, which is the application I really need, does not open it; instead, it reads: "Configuration Error: Please uninstall and reinstall the product. Error: 16". I bought the CD for After Effects last summer, but I cannot find it anywhere. I heard you don't need the CD to transfer the license to a new computer, but I can't figure out how to do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, since after building my computer, I have absolutely no funds nor interest to buy another After Effects CD.
    Thanks,
    John W. King

  • How do I reinstall Photoshop and AI on my new computer?

I am a member of Creative Cloud and bought a new computer.  When I went to install Photoshop and AI, my only option was to install the trial versions.  How do I install the permanent version?

As a member of Creative Cloud, you may install the software on two computers.
Your software will be a trial version to begin with. You the sign in to make it licensed.
On the Trial version you should see "License this software" when you open AI and PS. This should ask you for your Adobe ID and Password. This should be enough to activate the software.
You can also sign in under the Help menu of your products.

I bought a new laptop computer with Windows 8. I have Windows on my old laptop computer.  How can I transfer Adobe Elements 9 to the new computer?  Thank you.

use your installation files to install on your new computer.  you can migrate your catalogue:  http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html
if you don't have your installation files and if you follow all 7 steps, you can dl a trial via one of the links on this page:  http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-9-premiere-elements-9-direct-download-links.h tml
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a dl problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem.

  • Is there a way to reinstall photoshop elements 6 to my new computer

I have purchased a new computer and would like to use the same 6 th edition.
I finally know my way around all the files and I really like the program.  Will I have to repurchase 6 or even 8 to install PhotoShop Elements again.I still have the original CD and box.   Is this a one time download?  Thanks  Bev

Here's another entry on the same topic:  http://forums.adobe.com/message/1487618#1487618 .  The answer an expert gives explains how to uninstall Elements on your old computer (which frees up your serial number), and then install Elements on your new computer using your existing serial number.  That explanation seems easy to use - as long as you still have access to your old computer.
Adobe understandable is concerned that you only have one copy of Elements installed with your serial number.
Others have tried to solve this problem in different ways.

  • How to move from a "recovered data external hard drive" to the new Computer?

Computer 1's hard drive crash and all programs and data were recovered professionally and sent to me on an External Hard Drive.  Computer 1 was on Windows 7.  I can fun the program off of the External Hard drive fine, when connected to my my new Computer.  I click on the .exe file and it pulls up the catalogue as it should.  All off of the recovery drive.
The new Computer, is on Windows 8.1.  How do I get the Adobe Catalogues moved/copied to the new Computer?
I redownload Adobe 10 onto my new 8.1 Computer from the Adobe website.  Using the new download, I was able to open the Catalogue on the External Drive (F).  Cannot find a way to "relocate" the Catalogue to the new computer.  The pictures have already been copied to the new computer.
Please help!!!!!   Desperate not to lose the organization (tagging/dating) etc in 30,000 pictures+.
    Kay

Before we can give a solution, we need more information and we must be clear about the details of the recovery.
From your post, I assume that the external drive contains a copy of your picture files, with probably exactly the same folder path. I think that that path is identical in Win7 and Win8 (it was not in XP).
You have reinstalled Photoshop Elements 10 in your new computer.
So the main point is : what about your old catalogs ? It's quite possible that the professional recovery has also made a copy of those.
You'll have to search the external drive for one or several folders containing a 'catalog.pse10db' file.
If you find one or several, select the newest in date (or the biggest), the folder containing it is the catalog you are looking for.
If you don't find one, be sure that the explorer is set to show hidden files. Without catalogs, you can't restore your organization
Now, when you have found the catalog (the folder), you can do this test. With PSE and Organizer closed, double click on the 'catalog.pse10db' file. That should open the organizer with the catalog. Since the files are not in the same location as before, all links in the catalog will be wrong : different drive identification and perhaps different folder structure. That test should show you the thumbnails (the catalog cache in the folder should have been recovered; if not it's not that important, the thumbnails cache will be recreated automatically).
Now, how to 'reconnect' all files, that depends on what you want to do: keep them in the external drive or copy them back to the main internal drive. The problem will be either to update the catalog database to point to the new location or to recreate the same drive identification as before : letter and drive serial number, exactly same folder tree. We can discuss those options when you have made the first test.
If that goes well, don't worry about the location of the catalog : you can move it either from the catalog manager or manually.

  • Installing Adobe Pro X on my new computer

My old computer "died" but the Adobe Pro X could not be transferred to my new computer.  I tried to "chat" with Sanjay to figure out how to do this, but the "chat" was not helpful.  I do remote work from home for a law firm that is about 1,000 miles away.  He told me that the license had to be accessed by the law firm manager in order for it to be reinstalled.  Interestingly, the license is under my account with my name and email.  The law firm manager provided me with access to her account - the license is not listed under her account.  I need to reinstall Adobe Pro X on my new computer - the license has been paid for and I should be able to do this from my account.  How can I get this reinstalled on my new computer?  Thank you.

    Hi amedre,
I have checked your account and the serial number you have is a Volume License.
You can go ahead and download Acrobat 10 Pro from : http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html
and use the serial number to activate it on the new computer.
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • Installing updated Master Collection on a new computer

I started with Master Collection 3 and eventually updated to version 5. I am planning on buying a new computer with Windows 7 (current is Windows XP.) Would I be able to reinstall my Master Collection on the new computer with no problems from Adobe?
    Thanks,
    Shab

Thank you Hunt and all others who helped. All the information given to me
was correct and identical from all individuals and the official document
below from Adobe confirms it. It was not a matter of trust or otherwise, but
I needed to see it in black and white before plunging into buying a new
expensive computer, which now I can do. Here is a copy of the relevant
information of the License agreement in regards to the issue discussed:
2.5 Portable or Home Computer Use. Subject to the important restrictions set
    forth in Section 2.6, the
primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed under
    Section 2.2 (“Primary User”) may
install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either
    a portable Computer or a
Computer located at his or her home, provided that the Software on the
portable or home Computer is not
used at the same time as the Software on the primary Computer.
By the way, one of the main reasons for buying a new computer is because my
Windows XP does not support Premiere and After Effects version 5.0, so it's
time to upgrade to a new machine with Windows 7 and faster processor.
    Thanks again,
    Shab
