Reinstalling deleted apps

hi everyone!
i got a problem, my "simcity" never came in to the game and just kept on showing the "loading" screen forever, so i deleted it
i knew nothing would happen because i have bought the file once and have it my computer, but i cant figure out how to get it back on my phone
could anyone help me?
thanks

Make sure it's set to sync in the Applications tab in iTunes (with the iPhone connected). If it still does not sync, delete and redownload the app in iTunes on your computer, then try syncing it again. There no charge to redownload an app:

  • Cant reinstall deleted apps

I have a question regarding not being able to reinstall apps, which I previously had installed on my iphone which i deleted and wishd to reinstall.
I have downloaded a number of apps from the app store onto my Iphone, since then I have deleted one of these apps, and now wish to reinstall it, when i go back to the apps store on my iphone to reinstall, it says the application is already installed on my iphone and will not let me reinstall the app (the app is: pool by adikus)
(i am aware at this point that when you re-enter the app in the apps store, it should givr you the option 're-install' whereas on my iphone it say 'installed' despite not being installed and not allowing me to reinstall.
I have restored my iphone to its original factory settings, which deleted all the apps, i then tried to reinstall the app, which it allowed me to do, but as soon as i tried to open the app, the iphone stalled, went back to the 'slide to unlock' screen, and on my home screen the app had disappeared.
I then re-entered the apps store to download it again, at which point again it told me the app is already installed and would not allow me to reinstall it.
can you help, i really want to get these apps back

    Hi,
If you haven't already, download and install the latest versions of iTunes(currently 8.1.1) and iPhone software(currently 2.2.1).
You can check by tapping Settings> General> About.
You can find this information from the About iTunes menu.
You can download the latest version of iTunes here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414 provides more information about updating and restoring the iPhone.

  • IPhone keeps automatically reinstalling deleted apps.

    Hi
If I delete applications from my iPhone (by holding my finger down on the icon till it jiggles and then tapping the red X) then when I plug the phone into my PC, the PC is automatically reinstalling them.
The only way I can find to stop this happening is to go into the Applications section of the itunes library on my PC and delete it from there.
Does anyone know a fix for this? It's very annoying.
    Thanks
    Dan

Yep, this keeps happening with me too, but it just started recently. Prior I had no issues with syncing on 2 computers.
I use my Mac mini as a home media center, so my songs are stored on that iTunes which I normally sync to the iPhone (getting new tunes, changing playlists, etc.). My MacBook Pro is my work computer and contains most of my calendars, contacts, etc. The iTunes here is used to add applications to my iPhone as well as update Notes and iPhoto.
I recently upgraded my Mac mini's external drive with a larger capacity for more media storage. Afterwards, I've had all sorts of issues with missing songs, duplicates and ghost links in iTunes. I thought I had it resolved until now this issue with the iPhone. The worst part is that I only want the mini iTunes to sync the songs but it says it wants to erase all my apps to do so. If I do that and go back to my work iTunes, it asks to add all those apps that were deleted PLUS old ones I had removed previously. I have to then rearrange my apps & screens as well as delete again these old apps I don't want anymore (but don't delete because I paid for them!!). Next time I sync with the mini iTunes, the pattern starts all over!!
It's maddening! I'm starting to think that I need to erase the entire directory for both iTunes and reinstall fresh media. Know this is long, but so has the attempts to fix this issue!!

  • How to reinstall deleted apps

I deleted some apps off my ipod touch to make room. They are still in my "apps" section of itunes. They correctly do not install automatically when I sync. If I change my mind and decide I want them back on my ipod touch, how do I reinstall them?
    THANKS

    Hi,
Your iTunes account knows which Apps you have purchased so you can erase them from iTunes and redownload/reinstall them, no charge.
Alternatively, go to the app Store on your Touch and redownload/install them, again no charge.

    Dud.

Hold the home and power button down until your phone restarts. If that doesn't work, backup and restore using iTunes.

  • IPad 1 - Deleted app, tried to reinstall, but later version is only available which does not work on iOS5.  How do I get the original back?

Deleted App on my iPad 1.  Tried to reinstall - but app has been updated and only works on iOS6 now.
Have gone to app store and looked under "purchased", again only the updated app is available which doesn't work on my device.
How do I get back the original version which worked on the earlier version of iOS?
I do not have a copy of the app in iCloud.
    Thanks

The only possible way that you could get it back is if the app is still in your iTunes library. If you don't sync with iTunes and it is not in your iTunes library, unfortunately, your version of the app is gone now.

  • App hung on "waiting"; during update, I lost my wifi connection; now cannot delete to reinstall (no X), syc does not help; itunes store says it is installed and I cannot reinstall; deleting from itunes and synching does not remove "hung app"; HELP

App hung on "waiting"; during update, I lost my wifi connection and the app hung; now cannot delete to reinstall (no X), synching does not help; itunes app store says it is installed, therefore I cannot reinstall; deleting the app from itunes and synching does not reinstall the app on the ipod; the app developers have not helped and told me to check with Apple (which I am doing, since I am past my 90 day tech support). Hoping someone can help with this hung "waiting' app problem.

    - First try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next download the app on the computer and try to sync.
    - Last, restore from backup.

  • How can I reinstall deleted free Apps which now show as installed but are not actually there?

How can I reinstall free Apps that I have deleted (because ALL stopped working) which now show as installed but are not actually there?
I loaded a bunch of free Apps (maybe too many?) right after I got my 4s yesterday, and at some point I noticed that none of the downloaded Apps would work. The screen would blink when I tapped the icons, but the Apps stopped opening. Resetting the phone didn't help, so I decided to delete all the Apps I had downloaded and start over.
I can get the "Purchased" list to show up by pressing Updates button (is there another way?) but the show as "installed" in greyed-out letter, so I can't figure out how to get them back.

Your iPad screens aren't completely filled up are they? If they are, you will only be able to find them using the search feature on the iPad.

  • Deleted app, reinstall not working

I deleted an app ICON on my itouch, but i am not able to reinstall the app. It shows installed in the app store but no ICON to access the problem, I have tried to uninstall in itunes and re-sync no luck. any suggestions? thanks

    - Try a reset. Nothing is lost:
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Have you used the Spotlight search on the iPOd? Maybe y really did not delete the app?
    - Last would be to restore the iPod.

    Thx

You don't really delete app that way, that way to stop backup for that app in icloud.
You need to delete it from your home screen and then while it still will look like download from icloud - app will start fresh.
However if app uses any account sign in the stuff that is attached to sign in will come back, so if you do not want to you need to use
    fresh account as well.

  • New to the iPad. How do I delete apps or reinstall because I try to open but they won't load?

I'm new to apple. My 2nd page of apps won't open so how do I delete or reinstall them?

If it's just the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store that aren't working, and the Apple built-in ones are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's all apps including Apple's then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
To delete an app, press and hold any of the apps and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. You cannot delete any of the Apple built-in apps e.g. Music/iPod, App Store, Game Centre etc. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'. They can then be re-downloaded for free.
