Reinstalling Dreamweaver 8
I have Dreamweaver 8 and need to reinstall it to my ibook. It is asking for my old serial number from a previous version, which I don't have. How can I reinstall this? It has worked perfectly before.
Obviously the version you have was purchased as an upgrade. Since you no longer have the original serial number, you can't install it.
Fear not. You can get CS2 (DW 8) working again from the following link:

I am trying to reinstall Dreamweaver CS3 from the CD after having computer issues. Now getting error "You can only install one Adobe product at a time. Please complete the other installation before attempting to install ......." There is no other Adobe product installing. I have used the Adobe Cleaner Tool many times and uninstalled other Adobe Products but neither has worked. I have uninstalled/reinstalled this CD version of Dreamweaver several times when changing computers and after having computer issues. A google search of the problem suggested it may be an error related to the number of times I can reinstall this product due to licensing issues. Please help.

Absolutely not. You are misinterpreting things. The activation check never happens when just running the installer, only much later. It means what it says - there is another "install" pending/ active on your system, meaning somewhere there is an (invisible) process still blocking things. Either way, since you haven't provided any real technical info, we can't advise specifically. if you are on Windows, you may want to check your task manager and terminate any setup.exe and msiexec.exe processes plus potentially may need to manually fix/ delete some registry keys. For anything beyond that you will have to be much more specific.

Error code 2 reinstalling Dreamweaver CS4
I recently tried to reinstall dreamweaver cs4 and Acrobat Pro on my Macbook pro (OS 10.5.8), after both programs repeatedly wouldn't launch. Whilst Acrobat Pro reinstalled ok, the reinstallation of dreamweaver failed twice and I get an error 2 message. Any ideas?
ThanksI get the error code from the installer, when I click more info. (I restarted and tried unsuccessfully to reinstall as suggested). If I try to launch Dreamweaver the icon just bounces in the dock, before quitting. One odd thing was that the installer claimed Illustrator was running at first even though it wasn't. I launched and quit Illustrator to make sure but the installer wouldn't run until I rebooted. After that it installed Acrobat Pro correctly but not Dreamweaver.

I need to reinstall Dreamweaver CS6 on a new PC and I need to install it on a notebook. Both use Windows 7. I believe I must deactivate my current installation first. What is the correct procedure for these installations.
Thanks,

How do I reinstall Dreamweaver CS4 without the CD?
Hello
I sent my computer to have the shift key replaced, and the repairers managed to wipe all my drives. I want to reinstall dreamweaver CS4, but when I seem to have lost my CD. I have the serial number on the case. Is there any way I can retrieve the software without the CD? Also, I did install Dreamweaver on my small portable laptop - perhaps there is a way I can transfer that copy back onto my big PC?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Plus, Shift keys are usually located on keyboards. I'm unclear how a hard drive can be wiped if a keyboard is being repaired.
That was my point....
Unfortunately you missed the point that regardless of the reason why the computer was sent to facility for repair the repair facility assumes no liability for lost files and you agree to that in writing upon delivering the item to the repair facility.
I believe John's point (not yours) is that the files on the hard drive may have been compromised *before* sending the computer to the repair facility to repair the supposed faulty shift key and now you and OP are trying to blame repair facility for files that may have been lost before the computer was sent to the repair facility. Your point was that is was inexcusable and that OP should consider legal action, not that the files may have been compromised beforehand or that it's unclear of how the files were lost. Perhaps if you were more clear in describing your point the first time then your point would of been more clearly understood. What you're calling a point I call a backpedal in this scenario. Your original post made no point of unclarity of how the hard drive files were lost.

How to load site in a reinstalled Dreamweaver
Hello,
I had to move from a desktop PC to a laptop. I had to install
Studio 8 all over again and I have all the files I was using
earlier in my desktop.
When starting Dreamveaver I can see the folder structure in
"files/assets/snippets" but I don't know how to load the main
folder where my work is stored. (Where was doing my work earlier in
the desktop)
Example:
I was working with a site named A. This is a folder named "A
" that should appear under the "files/assets/snippets" window.
All I see after the reinstall is the Desktop and all the
folders in my HD along with the folder that I was working with.
The "Manage Sites" small window is blank right now.
How do I place the folder (site?) "A" back in the
"Files/Assets/Snippets" column so I can open my HTML's already
created, access the icons and other folders below "A" ?
thank you
pakoppan"> The "Manage Sites" small window is blank right now.
Did you export your site definitions to a folder that you
could move by FTP
or portable device to the laptop? If so, all you need to do
is import the
site definitions and make sure your folder structure is
identical to your
other computer.

Suggestions for reinstalling Dreamweaver CS5 on Yosemite without error message?
Hello,
I recently uninstalled my Dreamweaver CS5 because it wasn’t working properly after upgrading to Yosemite. It would start up and then freeze so I would have to Force Quit. I am trying to reinstall it but I keep getting an error message. I’ve looked at the following articles to try to get it to work. I’ve tried installing in a different folder than the Applications folder, renaming the ‘Adobe’ folder in the Applications folder and changing read and write info. I looked at the log files and I was getting the DW063 and the DF037 errors.
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/installation-launch-log-errors-creative.html
http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html#main_OSX
http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html
There’s something that I’m missing and I would greatly appreciate any help. I'm guessing when I did the uninstall through the uninstall in the Dreamweaver folder that it missed something on the uninstall.
Thanks,

Do i need to reinstall Dreamweaver 8?
Hi everyone
I really hope someone can help here because ive got a
problem.
I just tried to install a javascript behavior from the
exchange on this site (its called close window). I downloaded it to
my desktop, installed it using the Macromedia Extension Manager.
All the time i had dreaweaver still running, i didnt close it. The
behavior installed its self to my insert bar bit i think. Anyway i
thought id be tidy and add it into my dreamweaver program file, i
made a file called behaviours on the first level on the folder. But
then when i tried to re load dreamweaver its came up with a load of
error messeges about missing files.
What can i do?
Should i just re-install dreamweaver? i dont have any
important files im worried about
thanksNever mess with the Program Files/Macromedia/Dreamweaver X
file .. that's
the core program. Extensions should add themselves to your
user
configuration file found at Documents and
Settings/yourname/Application
Data/Macromedia/Dreamweaver X.
Had you trashed that configuration (user), you could toss it
and the program
would generate another the next time you opened it. Since you
messed with
the Program Configuration, yes .. you'll most likely have to
reinstall it.

Reinstall Dreamweaver 8 without disc
Hi,
the company I work for has a Box for Dreamweaver but no CD.... We think someone might have taken the disc. I have the serial # for Dreamweaver and need to reinstall it. I do I go about it? DO I need to buy Dreamweaver again? Or can I redownload version 8?
thanks
MarieI think you will need to contact Adobe Customer Support. Dreamweaver 8 is no longer available (although you may be able to find it in an old DW8 book at your local bookstore), and hasn't been for several years (we are now 2 releases ~ 3-4 years beyond). If you have the S/N and registered it with Adobe then you should have no problem.
