Reinstalling office jet on windows 8.1

I am having trouble finishing the installation of a 4500 g510 on window 8.1. When it comes to choosing a connection,  it will not come up on found network printers, and the address will not search.  I know little about this and expected to put a disk in and instillation would be easy.  How do I install this #$@% printer?

Welcome to the forums @lilJill ,
I am hoping to help you with the issue you're having with installing your Officejet 4500 on your Windows 8.1 system.
I would first suggest running the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows to see if the tool will install the printer for you.
Not to jinx it, just trying to be proactive, if you happen to run into any issues, please write me back with the specific details and I will surely help you where I can!
Happy Monday

  • HP office jet 4632 windows 10 compatability

Will  HP have drivers for this printer HP office jet 4632 when widows 10 is released?

    Hi NJgirl54,
Welcome to the HP support forums.
Just to check, you would like to know if you can use the Automatic Document Feeder (Top Feeder) to scan multiple documents without having to open the scan bed and place the original there?
    Actually, you can do that.
Just follow this link and select "How to scan with HP Software"
and then expand "How to scan multiple pages into a single file"
that will give you instructions on how to scan multiple pages from the ADF.
Please let me know if you need more information.

  • Problems with reinstalling Office 2010 for windows 7

So, I had Office 2010 installed on my PC. Then for some problems with other programs, I had to format my PC. Then, I opened Microsoft Office 2010 to reinstall it, then I inserted the product key I've written on a sheet, and it gave me error: the product
key doesn't exist. So I tried using WindowsKeyFinder, which found another product key - that one didn't work neither. What might the problems be? Thanks for anyone who will answer this question.

    Hi,
Please first make sure whether you've inserted the correct product key. For how to find your Product Key for Office 2010, please refer to this article:
    https://support.office.com/en-ca/article/Find-your-Product-Key-for-Office-2010-1e8ef39c-2bd4-4581-a0ae-5cf25ebed489
Also, have you ever made changes to your hardware? If your hardware is substantially different, then it will be considered as a new computer. If this is the case, you might need to
activate your Office 2010 via telephone.
If issue persists, I would suggest you contact Microsoft Custom Service directly for further assistance:

All of a sudden I can no longer print yellow.  I changed the cartridge and cleaned the heads several times.  Diagnostics says the heads are clean.

    Hi Nort504,
I understand you are having an issue with one of the colors printing on your Officejet 8500.
If you have already followed the troubleshooting document provided above by pcwizard, I suggest contacting HP's Technical Support to see if they have any other options for you, as the end of the guide is suggesting replacing the printhead or unit itself.

  • Reinstall hpotap07.dll on Office Jet G85

I am using a HP Office Jet G 85 with a Windows XP operating system.  My printer works but the directory and other additional functions do not giving me a message the hpotap07.dll is not located.  The functions did work until XP was installed.  I have tried uninstalling and re-installing and it still is not there.  Anyone have an answer for me?  Thank you for the help....

I understand you are receiving an error regarding a missing DLL.
You mentioned you tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  Was this done using the download found here or from the CD?  If it was from the download, do you have access to the CD?

  • Hp office jet 7500 frequently appears offline in a windows 7 laptop.

We have an HP Office Jet 7500, connected via ethernet to our home router. We've successfully installed the drivers for it on multiple devices, including two Windows laptops and a Mac. However, one laptop running Windows 7 repeatedly sees the printer as 'offline.' Other laptops have no problems seeing and using the printer.
I've reinstalled the drivers on this laptop and that was a short-term fix. The printer again appeared offline. I downloaded and ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. It identifies the 7500, and when I go through the 'fix' process it indicates that the device is now online (wrench appears next to this text), and then this laptop is able to print the 7500.
Another day, the printer will again appear as offline, and I repeat the Print and Scan Doctor fix ....
So, what is the overall cause of this printer appearing offline to just this one laptop? And what's the permanent fix?

    mrcottonsparrot,

    Hello dawnp,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with installing the printer on to your Windows 7 computer.
I suggest that we start off by running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.  If the Doctor fails, please let me know where it failed as well as any error codes you may see.

  • Problems with Windows 7 and Office jet L7500

I have an HP Office jet pro L7555 and since switching to windows 7 I have started to have a lot of problem. I have downloaded and installed the new driver. The problems seem to be sporadic, and are occasionally solved by restarting. I don't want to have to restart all the time! The current error message that comes up is error #30 when I am printing from word.  Any ideas?

Have you tried transferring all of your purchases?
To do this, plug in your iPod with iTunes open.  (if it starts to sync, let it).  Once it's done syncing, keep your iPod plugged in.  Go to "File" at the top of iTunes and find "Transfer Purchases from iPod".  Click that.  It should start transferring everything from your iPod into iTunes.  Once it's done transferring, sync your iPod again (just to be safe).  Once it's done syncing, unplus your iPod and check each tab on the navigation bar to see if your stuff has transferred and synced (For example, if you transferred music, click the "Music" tab on the left navigation bar, for apps, click "Apps", etc.)
This worked for me when I couldn't figure out why my stuff wasn't transferring from my iPhone to iTunes by just syncing.  I have to transfer purchases every time I download a new app, song, book, etc.  Hope this helps!

  • Solution Center problem with HP Office Jet J4550 and windows 7 (64bit)

    Hello All,
I have a problem. I have the Solution Center and a HP Office Jet J4550 and windows 7 (64bit). When ever I open the solution center, the solution center says " HP office jet J4550 series disconnected" When I open HP document manager, I can access the printer.  Additionally, when I run the HP Print Diagnostic Utility 4.0, it sees the printer, no issues. I can print test pages. No issues. I downloaded the latest driver from the HP site (OJJ4500_Full_13, 299,359KB) Your insight is appreciated.
    Thank you
    Roy B

I have a similar problem with the J4580 and my new Windows 7 64-bit laptop.  HP Solution Center says that the printer is disconnected.  Furthermore, it can print some documents (short ones), but it was unable to print a 1-page 5MB pdf file.  The printer truncated the page after printing just the top 10%.   The printer is OK with my wife's Windows 7 32-bit laptop.
I've seen many other people complain about similar problems in this and other forums.  Apparently the driver for J4500 printers is not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit.  Can HP please provide an updated driver or patch?

  • Can print but not scan in Windows 8.1 to HP Office Jet 4500 510n-z

New computer over the weekend with Windows 8 installed.  Upgraded to 8.1online   My HP Office Jet all-in-one 4500 prints fine, but I have no way to scan.   I tried using the HP website to download and install the full driver.  When it gets to the installation page, it just hangs on the page trying to communicate with my printer.   Cannot get past that page.
I also tried the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility.   It recognizes my HP all-in-one, but when it goes to the first step of communicating with the selected product, it gets about 3/4 done and then just hangs.
I have tried disabling my firewall.  Still no luck.
I tried going to Device Manager and having it searched for updated drivers.  It says the current driver is up-to-date.
I tried Windows Fax and Scan.  When I choose New Scan, it says I have no scanner installed.
Somewhere there is a big error in this mess that is not allowing my printer and Windows to allow this driver to be fixed.  HELP!

    Hello 8latinfans,
I understand that when you are installing the full featured software, that it hangs on communicating with the product. I have included the following document, 'The Progress Bar on the Software Installation Stops or Stalls'. This will walk you through different steps to try and get the software installed.
If the above document fails to resolve the issue, please let me know if there are any specific error messages that you do get.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
The same driver as provided for any Windows OS as Windows 7 or 8 should be used, the installation however should be launch via the command line and not as a standard installation.
Follow these steps to install the printer software on a server:
