Reinstalling Photoshop 7 after crash?

My g4 hard drive crashed, I am running mac os x 10.4.11 and my photoshop 7 was a downloaded upgrade so I don't have a disk, although I do have the manual and serial number.  My earlier versions of Photoshop won't install since I'm not running os 9. How do I reinstall Photoshop 7?

Well, you could have backed it up, you know... That aside I have no idea where one would download such old versions these days. I'm sure they are flaoting around in some dark corners of the Internet, but not on Adobe's site. If you can find the installer, inputting al lthe serials should be al lthat is required...

What exactly happens when you try?

  • Can't reinstall Photoshop after uninstall

Trying to get to the bottom of what might be a software bug, I uninstalled Photoshop CS6, intending to reinstall it right away through the Cloud subscription.  But now when I try to download it, the Download window opens, but the software is not downloading.  It shows Photoshop CS6 as "Up to Date," even though I no longer have the application.
How do I reinstall Photoshop CS6?

    Hello Jonathan,
concerning your "reinstall it right away through the Cloud subscription": Did you really use "Cloud Cleaner Tool". (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!) Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
I quote: ... helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.
Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html and follow the prescribed sequence of operations
If necessary and for further questions and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences.

  • Do i have to reinstall photoshop, after install the new os x mavericks?

I'm currently using Mountain Lion. If I upgrade to the new Mavericks, do I have to reinstall programs like Adobe softwares and Microsoft Offices? Cause I'm currenly using a lot of software on my MacBook, like Photoshop and SketchUp. It will be a hassle if I have reinstall all these software again.

    Guitartist wrote:
Although you will not need to reinstall your Adobe software, you DO need to deactivate Adobe apps before you upgrade to Mavericks.  After you've installed Mavericks just launch Photoshop, etc., and it will automatically reactivate.
I see no need to deactivate Adobe apps before upgrading ML -> Mavericks, then reactivate. I don't seem to have any trouble running either Acrobat Pro 10 or Photoshop Cs 5.1 in Mavericks after the upgrade-- without the deactivate/reactivate steps.
Am I failing to understand something?

After I installed lightroom 5 and photoshop cc I had to do a system restore.   The CC application shows both are installed but photoshop CC is not anymore and I can't reinstall it because the app show it already is.   How do I reset the CC app so I can do a clean install of Photoshop CC?
    Thanks,

Like I said you have to run CC Cleaner to get rid of the uninstalled pieces.  http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

  • Reinstalling photoshop after laptop stolen

    Hello
I had a version of photoshop on a pc but then it was stolen. I now have a mac. Can I reinstall my version onto a mac? Or what do you advise?

Stand alone I believe, I would have to check. I asked for it to be put onto my pc laptop when I bought it about 4 years ago.
OK, well has kglad says, you cannot use your Windows serial for your Mac version.
And your version of Photoshop is too old to qualify for an upgrade to the current CS6 version.
So your options for your Mac are:
Buy a new copy of Photoshop CS6 for your Mac at full price
Subscribe to Photoshop only for your Mac

  • Reinstalling everything after crash. Need to recover License number for Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office installed by HP when I bought it. How do I recover it? Thanks

this is what i am guessing when people buy their additional stuff from HP such as Office and they either get a paper with their product key or not and if not, how are they going to recover their office if they do not have the recover key to restore their application so they can get into the productivity they need to be able to function but also this is another failure where Ms does not have a way to get your product key either and i am guessing it is encrypted stored after you registered to verify the license so to recover lost product key is a brainstorming process if it is lost after the deletion is done which is lost in the wipe out or the new hard drive if replacing the failed drive  but i like to advise people to get their product key and keep a record with an extra copy store where they can find it and such as example like a file cabinet or some kind of vault box only accessible by you and only you but here is a software that i have found and use which is from Ms Community Forum https://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/   remember get that key ASAP and store it and before you do any upgrade on your unit either office upgrade to OS upgrade or replacing the hard drive if it fails or you need a larger storage btw i have read this is store maybe in the bios or some where and how can you pull up any information that is need to recover such as your windows product key to application keys ?  other than pulling up just your bios parameters  good luck and i hope you can get this resolve

  • Reinstalling VISS after crash

I've searched this out and found many subjects, but clicking any of the links just leads back to a new log in screen. I got a virus of some sort and had to have the hard-drive wiped, so I need to re-install VISS.
All of the Verizon help pages are just endless loops of nonsense and it would be nice to have a direct answer.

Hi BillAlex70, you need to login to your primary email account. If you're on the new platform My Verizon 2.0, there is a pane on the right side. Under the Internet Tab is an option that says Manage Broadband Extras & Essentials. Click on that and it should take you to the download for VISS.  If you're on the old platform, you can click the My Account tab, then click on Manage Broadband Essentials & Extras on the left or middle pane.

  • Trying to reinstall photoshop cs5 after computer crash

i need to reinstall photoshop after a computer crash.  i inserted the cd, accepted the conditions, but am unable to enter the product code.  Can enter numbers, but not letters.  I am assuming this is because this is a student/teacher edition.  What do I need to do in order to reinstall Photoshop?
    Thank you,
    Jed

It sounds as if you are trying to enter your product code and not your serial number.  If your software is registered then please see http://forums.adobe.com/message/3987968#3987968?promoid=KBHJW for information on how to locate your serial number.
If you have not registered your software then please see http://forums.adobe.com/message/4635085#4635085 which discusses how to obtain your serial number from your product code.

  • Trying to reinstall Photoshop CS3 after removing trial version of PS CS4

    Hi,
I'm on an HP laptop - Win XP Home Edition - 1 gb RAM, plenty of space.
So, after major, continuous crashing in Photoshop CS3, I decided to see if CS4 would work ok. It was nice, but I let the trial expire and decided to continue to see if 3 would get in gear.
I removed the trial software (i thought)
Today, I uninstalled CS3, so I could reinstall the whole thing rather than repairing it. It won't reinstall because the CS4 files have been moved.
is there some way to completely wipe out all reference to 4?
    thanks in advance!
    dana

ok - well, I found the informationin KB 401401 to be the most helpful - after wiping out the entire suite of CS3 -  finally got it to reinstall (after the second time)...
NOW, back to my ORIGINAL issue - Photoshop CS3 crashes every time I open a second photo... So... there's that again. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thank yOU!!
    Dana

How Can you reinstall Photoshop Elements12 to a computer that its was there but loss it after installing windows 8.1

Reinstalling Mavericks depends on several factors:
if you erased your recovery partition
what OS originally came on your Mac.
I'll assume you don't have a backup available that you made before your mishap,  because you didn't mention it.
That's really the take home message here: have a backup!
If you still have your recovery partition:
boot into the recovery partition (command R at restart)
use the recovery partition to reinstall Mavericks. see: OS X: About OS X Recovery
if you do not still have your recovery partition, then it depends on whether your Mac originally came with installer disks or not.
If it originally came with installer disks, you would boot from the installer disks, erase your HD, and then reinstall the OS that is on the installer disks, and then upgrade as necessary until you get to Mavericks.
If your mac did not originally come with installer disks, but you managed to erase your recovery partition, then you can try to boot into internet recovery (option-command-R at restart), and use internet recovery to erase your HD and reinstall the OS that originally came with your computer, and then upgrade to Mavericks if you need to. See: Hands on with Mountain Lion's OS X Recovery and Internet Recovery | Macworld
(the reference refers to ML but it applies just as well to Mavericks).
