Reinstalling photoshop CS6 extended

I have to reformat my hard drive and reinstall photoshop CS6. Will Adobe recognize that I am not just installing the program on another computer but that I am using my legal software and let me use the program?
I hope I am making sense.

If your computer isnt yet completly dead and you have the ability to boot up Photoshop you can deactivate it from the help menu giving you back one of your activations. That is assuming you can access your computer (which I realise you may not be able to do).

1. The serial number.
2. The installer.
3. Internet connection to activate.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error.

When starting Photoshop CS6 I get this error message, Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error (-- OK --). This happens on the main screen immediately. Once I click OK the program seems to be alright. But some part of it, that I haven't discovered yet, may not function properly.
I am running Windows7 Professional Service Pack 1 64 bit with Intel i7-4770k CPU and 16 GIG Ram.
This problem just started recently, everything has been fine up till now. I must have done something when trying to defragment the Registry or get rid of temp files.
I have uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and reinstalled it with no effect. I have tried to run Photoshop CS6 32 bit in Safe Mode, but it will not run. It hangs up on Reading Memory.
Is there any kind log file that would tell me what is causing this to occur?
Does anyone know what might cause this?

Did you reset your Preferences and Photoshop tools. Photoshop Preferences are not removed with an un-install and an Install does not install preferences. Preferences are created for a user id when a user ID start Photoshop and there are no preferences for the user ID.

How to Force Enable 3D Menu Contents in PhotoShop CS6 Extended

Hello I have a weird problem with photoshop cs6 extended
I bought my new laptop HP Pavilion dv6 6170ee which has 2 graphics card 1 is the intel one and the other is the AMD one ( High Performance )
As you can see from the screen shot above my drivers are installed and updated anyway the 3D option in CS6 was working good and it's content was enabled and ready to use , but suddeny after restarting my pc I started cs6 and found out that the contents at 3D Menu is disabled I went for my AMD graphics card control center and made sure that photoshop is running on the ( High Performance ) GPU and here is the screen shot that proffs it
and then I opened photoshop again , choosen Edit , Performace and found that it's still using the Intel Grapics Card ? here is the screen shot
and I have done all what i can do to make the 3D menu content enabled again system restore ( failed ) , Reinstalling windows + Drivers + stuff again ( same problem happpend again after restarting my computer ) and also trying resseting my gpu settings to factory default settings ) all of these was fail , please is there a way to force start photo shop like command line ..etc .

I am running a TRIAL VERSION of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended on MAC and Bridge does not open. It did open when I first downloaded it - but now a black question mark is over the BR icon and it does not open up. Any ideas from anyone?

I just thought it was interesting and helpful to me to learn that the icon for Bridge does not appear anywhere. Not in Application Folder. Not in the Finders Directory Files. I see your point - if I could locate that icon - I'd be set by dragging it onto my DOCK and launching it from there.
So - I'm assuming I need to uninstall CS6. Please list all the steps for me to uninstall so that I don't miss any CS6 files.
When I search in FINDER for CS6 uninstall- I see two icons - red adobe "UNINSTALL ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6" (both files are identical) Under KIND they both say Alias - with two different dates they were last opened (in November - few minutes apart). Is that what I use to uninstall completely all the files related to PS CS6 Extended as well as Bridge?
Do I need to DEACTIVATE ANYTHING ANYWHERE?
DOES ANYTHING NEED TO GO INTO TRASH.
I just want to make sure 'everything' related to CS6 Extended is off my computer and out of all the files. In the event i want to re-install - naturally I don't want to run into any conflicting 'issues'.
Do you think if I reinstall I will run into this same problem again (BR not launching)? Is there anything I can do to prevent it? I note on the forums - going a few years back - that there have been a lot of issues related to this same problem - even in other versions of the Creative Suite. Is Adobe doing anything to rectify this problem for us Photoshop CS Suite lovers or is all their focus just going into CC?

So if you download the trial from the trial page at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop you get Photoshop CS6 Extended. When you then remove the trial and reinstall from the Adobe Application Manager with your trial Creative Cloud you only see the Standard version?
If this is so you can try reviewing your installation logs by following the steps listed in Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html. Although your 30 day trial has already begun. I would recommend for now you just remove the installation and install from the trial page so that you can try the extended features.

Photoshop CS6 Extended Slow Load ("Measuring Memory...")

Hi guys!
Sorry English is not my native language.
I am run Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-bit (from design premium) on Windows 7, 64-bit with 8GB RAM.
When I first start PS, it looks like it freeze on the text "Measuring Memory". If I wait for about 30 seconds, it will eventually load and everything works fine. No issues with Save for Web or anything.
I have read the other threads on this and tried all of these solutions:
Checked my ram in memtest (15 passes, no error)
Trash preferences and open again
Un-install and re-install (tried twice)
Updated PS to latest with Adobe Update
Reboot machine
This happen when I first run Windows, so lack of RAM is not the issue. I have no printers, other hard drive, or remote network drive attached to machine. Scratched disk is set to the boot disk (C:\)
If it help, Illustrator CS6 and InDesign CS6 load normally.
Do you have any suggestions to fix this? Thank you!

Congratulations on having such a huge amount of memory that it takes 30 seconds to measure it all! Just kidding - sorry.
You've done all the things a reasonable person would do... Some other things I might suggest are:
1. Check to ensure your display driver is up to date - go to the web site of the maker of your video card, not Microsoft.
2. Try disabling the Use Graphics Processor setting in Edit - Preferences - Performance, and restart Photoshop.
3. Remove any 3rd party plug-ins (reinstall won't remove plug-ins, so I thought I'd mention it).
4. Check to see if you have the same behavior with the 32 bit Photoshop as the 64 bit Photoshop.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-Bit GPU Acceleration Stopped Working

I've been using Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-bit when one day the GPU acceleration features stopped working. I closed the application and restarted it and the GPU acceleration still didn't work. I couldn't rotate the canvas or use scrubby zoom. I rebooted my system and it still wasn't working. I check my performance preferences and my graphics processor was detected with the "Use Graphics Processor" box checked. I unchecked it and rechecked but the GPU acceleration still wasn't working. I uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and reinstalled it. I got the GPU acceleration to work opening the application right after the install. I close Photoshop CS6 64-bit and reopened it and the GPU acceleration wasn't working again. I am able to use GPU acceleration features in Photoshop CS6 32-bit with no problem. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Ultimate Edition and I have a GeForce 280m GTX GPU. Would there be anyone out there who can help me with this issue. Thanks.

From what I gathered on this Forum there is a good chance that it may be related to the driver – unfortunately it could be either becasuse it’s obsolete or a bad new version.

3D Menu not displayed Photoshop CS6 Extended

I have just installed Photoshop CS6 Extended from adobe.com as the trial, but after installing it I don't see the 3D menu at the top.
I have tried reinstalling several times but still no 3D menu.
I have a ASUS GTX550Ti graphics card with 1gb of ram so I thought this would be sufficiunt.
Also running windows 7 64bit.

People report this from time to time. Adobe's response has been along the lines of "of course the trial will show you the 3D menu", ignoring the fact that a user is reporting that it doesn't.
Did you get the Photoshop trial software directly from Adobe.com?
It's not a problem with your hardware being insufficient, because if the GPU or OS/driver weren't up to the task the 3D menu would be there, just grayed-out. That you're not seeing it says that the installer has done something wrong and has set up the trial to run as the Standard edition somehow.
Unfortunately, no one has reported a sure way to make the Extended features show up in the trial so far, since mostly the problem has been dodged, but here's what I'd suggest.
Uninstall the trial, then run the Adobe Create Suite Cleaner Tool, then try a reinstall.

Adobe won't validate serial numbers that I was given for Photoshop CS6 Extended on Mac. What should I do? Calling won't work as I am deaf and I could not find any solution on internet to this. I tried offline option and also reinstalling program but both of these would not still validate serial numbers that Adobe give me. Any ideas?

3d Text not changing colour in Photoshop CS6 Extended-Any Thoughts?

I'm trying 3d text for the 1st time in Photoshop Cs6 Extended and thought I'd post my query on here as I've always found people to be really friendly and helpful.
The problem is every time I create new text and and change the colour it's always showing up as black. Nothing I do seems to alter this. Someone suggested a memory problem but I really don't know
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated

Did a complete reinstall and that seemed to allow me to change colours.Interestingly when I did the offered upgrade it reverted back to the way it was.Although I can't seem to see the widget(with grid) that allows me to easily move the text around.Is that in CS6? Uneven pen pressure in Photoshop CS6 Extended with Wacom Intuos5

I got Photoshop CS6 Extended recently, but the lines I draw in it aren't smooth, like they should be (example below).
The tablet produces perfect lines in any other bit of software (Flash, ToonBoom, etc.), but not Photoshop. I've tried lots of different solutions (uninstalling and reinstalling it, reverting back to an earlier driver, clearing preferences, etc.), to no avail. Oddly, my Intuos3 works fine in Photoshop, for a few minutes, before it crashes. If I try to adjust the Wacom Tablet Properties for CS6, it doesn't recognize any changes, but if I adjust the settings for Photoshop CS4, it does. All Wacom Drivers are up-to-date.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be most appreciated.

I've tried all of the above and had no results. I have the exact same issue as you, specially when working with a big brush. Even in the tablet settings panel I can see the sensitivity display go nuts after a certain threshold over 30% of pressure. I tend to use the hardest possible. At this point I think it's probably a hardware problem with the pen or tablet surface but still, I had an intuos 3 for many years without any trouble and the intuos 5 is giving me problems now . Also I replied to you becouse this was kind of the only part of the internet where I could find the exact same issue with a screencap of it. thank's in advance to anyone that have a workaround or news about this!!!

Photoshop CS6 Extended (via creative cloud) Flashes when clicking on canvas and ..

photoshop cs6 extended (64bit) flashes black when clicking on canvas or on a layer. I can't get anything done, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled... all other Creative Cloud apps work fine.
I';m using windows 8.
If anyone has any idea of what is going on or can help in any way, please let me know.

That is a known bug in Windows 8. We're working with the GPU vendors and Microsoft to get it fixed.
In the meantime you can set the Photoshop GPU mode to "Basic".
If you have an AMD GPU, you probably want their 13.2 beta drivers.
