wallaceWallace,
You can try one thing. Set the class to be restricted and disable the approval for user (Self Enrollment Option) and see if the error is there.
Is there any personalization been done in the review page? -
Attachment are not showing in learner self service for classes
same OLM:Attachments Linked To Classes Are Not Visible By Learner Self-Service Responsibility [ID 375830.1]
pplies to:
Oracle Learning Management - Version: 11.5.10.2 to 11.5.10.2 - Release: 11.5 to 11.5
Information in this document applies to any platform.
***Checked for relevance on 22-DEC-2010***
Symptoms
When a Learner enrolls in Training, they cannot view attachments the administrator had placed with
the class.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect the attachments placed on a class to be viewable by all learners enrolling in that class
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Learning Administrator creates a class and adds an attachment
2. Learner enrolls in the class but cannot view the attachments the admin placed there.
BUSINESS IMPACT
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, Learners cannot view attachments the administrator attached to a given class
Please help JamesMaybe I am not explaining this right.
You just mention my exact steps
Course/offering/class/update/ attachment
However when I try to navigate back to the catalog, I get an error in Mozilla "The changes you made to this page have not been saved. If you continue, the changes will be discarded. Do you wish to continue."
In IE, "Problem: not able to see how to save the changes after publishing a document to catalog"
I still have to republish what I already published. The process sounds like there is bug or miss leading. Why would I have to save a document that I just attached and/or why should I have to republish a document that I already published.
I just figured that as long as I am in update then I will continue to receive errors and republishing. Everything is work great and now I will be closing this message. Thanks for you help. Great forum.

Learner Self-Service not available in the LOV
Dear Friends,
I couldn't find "Learner Self-Service" responsibility in the list to attach my USER.
I could find learning instructor self-service instead.
Please help me out...If you search Learn% and don't get Learner Self-Service, Learner Manager, Learning Administrator, and Learning Instructor Self-Service, I think you may have to contact Oracle Support. There's nothing special you need to turn on or configure to get that responsibility to show in the list of available responsibilities when you are on the Users form.

Attachments in SSHR - Learner Self Service
Can the Learners attach any file along with their enrollment into a class? Is this feature available?
Only administrators can attach files and post it.Who you want to be able to see the attachement? Is it Admin? if it is admin then may be using forum can meet your requirement if you are on OTA minipack J and above.
You can create a class forum and attach it to the class with option:
Allow Attachment and allow private message.
You can make Admin as the dummy trainer via resource booking which will make the trainer as moderator of the forum then the learner can post a private message to the admin and include attachment in it. -
EIT: Setup in Self Service
Hi
I have set up an Extra Person Info EIT and displaying it in Self Service. All the fields that are displayed are text fields. Is it possible that I can make some the fields as text boxes. or is there any way I can personalize the DFF to achieve that.So if the customer wants to create Incidents in the portal and report in the "Affected Group", consider making dummy user Accounts in AD, and display them in a Query result. That way you can display the Department or Company Properties from AD in the list,
and If you wanted to you can use an email address on the AD account for Notification purposes.
If the customer is happy then don't mind this, just thinking out loud :-) -

Employee Self Enrollment into Benefits via Self Service
Hi, Please help me with this. When an employee enrolls into benefits through Self Service during the open enrollment period, will the Enrollment Method Always be recorded as 'E' for explicit as opposed to 'D' for Default in the BEN_PRTT_ENRT_RSLT_F table under column ENRT_MTHD_CD? Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks, Naveen Gagadam.Hi Naveen,
Yes, the enrollment method is described as 'E' every single time unless the enrollment was automatic for which it will be 'A' or defaulted for which it will be 'D'.
Note that D does not mean that the choice was a default choice (it means that also) but that the enrollment was created by the default enrollment process.
Ex : Medical - Employee Only is a default choice for all employees.
Employee A goes into self-service and enrolls in all plans of his choice but chooses to keep Medical - Employee Only. The enrollment method is marked as 'E'E
Employee B never goes to selfservice. The Default enrollment process assigns the default choice Medical - Employee Only to employee. The enrollment method is marked 'D'
hope that helps.

Employee Self-Service vs E-Learning.
Good Morning.
I have implemented ESS. I have the following doubt:
If an employee wants to inscribe a course of Learning, in ESS Where can find those services?
This Services not is in Area or Subareas of ESS??
This is a TAB as the are Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service in the portal?
I never have work integration of ESS vs E-Learning.
Thank in advance for your help.
Best RegardsHi Juan,
Since the Web Dynpro versions for ESS, Training area is not integrated. That was replaced with Learning Solution (LSO), what alsomore, include new functionality, like manage e-Learning courses with SCORM standards. But take in count that LSO requires and additional license to operate in productive systems.
So what can you do?
1. Include the old apps in your Web Dynpro Portal (to prebook/request/cancel a participation and review the status). For this, add the PV7I and PV8I transactions, by using transaction or IAC iViews templates
2. For licensed LSO users, you have to download the Business Package for Learning, then make it accesible to users by adding the Role. Please check:
Business Package for Learning (SAP ERP) 1.0
To finish and be clear, e-Learning is only supported in LSO.
Kind regards -
Invoice in Self Service Procurement
Hi,
When we work with Plan Driven (Procurement of Direct Materials) as our business scenario, The suppliers can create an Invoice directly in SUS, then the invoice is automatically released to SAP R3, but what happend when the PO is created directly in SRM EBP (Procurement of Services and Indirect Materials, scenario SUS-EBP or Self Service procurement)????
How the invoice works in Self Service (SUS EBP) scenario????
Is there a document about it????
Thanks.

Improving Student Self Service with jQuery/lightbox?
We're looking for ways to improve the student self service experience via the enterprise portal. There are a couple ways we've seen to do this, either creating a new peoplesoft page that displays the desired data and linking to the Campus Solutions pages, or creating a web page and populating the data via web services. It seems both approaches can benefit from the use of javascript technology like lightboxes. Has anyone tried to load the Campus Solutions Student Center or its subpages in a lightbox? Are there other approaches out there?
I'm not a skilled web developer, I'm still learning, so sifting through all the information and choosing a direction is difficult. I've seen strong recommendations for jQuery. However, there are other libraries as well as many lightbox plugins, some actively maintained, some not. For those of you with more experience, is there a "best" library/lightbox for this type of application?
Thanks,
Geoff PutneyHi Manjunath,
If you look into the wdpro PIQ_ST_COS the method to trigger the event is found in view 'step4'. Here you have the method ONACTIONTO_NEXT_SCREEN. The following code is called to trigger the wf;
* Call the trigger method to fire the workflow
CALL METHOD wd_comp_controller->mr_cos_model->trigger_cos
EXPORTING
it_specializations_new = lt_specializations_new
it_specializations_old = lt_specializations_old
it_wf_new_spec_texts = lt_new_spec_wf_texts
it_wf_old_spec_texts = lt_old_spec_wf_texts
iv_keydate = wd_comp_controller->mv_keydate
iv_student_objid = wd_comp_controller->mv_student_id
iv_program_objid = wd_comp_controller->mv_program_id
iv_plvar = wd_comp_controller->mv_plvar
iv_istat = wd_comp_controller->mv_istat
IMPORTING
et_return = lt_return.
In the end FM HRIQ_RFC_COSREQ_SEND is called from the method above. Via this FM all of the data is set correct for the event container, the even container is created and eventually the event is created. Please debug this method mentioned and check if the container is filled with data. Maybe you will find your issue here (in restrictions for calling the wf?).
Good luck!

OAB Identifing employees that have used Self Service to sign-up for benefit
Hello,
We are running open enrollment. It was run having the elections automatically default. The employees are to sign-up via self service. Is there a flag or something to be able to verify that the employee has submitted their elections themselves? I'm looking for a table name and field(s) to identify this information.
I see in table ben_prtt_ent_rslt_f there is a field enrt_mthd_cd which appears to be populated with A, D,or E. I was hoping that 'E' meant that the employee enrolled themselves.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
JaniceJanice,
You are right the enrt_mthd_cd does store the way by which the enrollment was made. The value in the field translates to the lookup type BEN_ENRT_MTHD and is displayed as the enrollment method field on the General tab on the View Enrollment Results Page.
If a peson is enrolled in a plan using PUI or SS and not thru automatic/ default enrollment then the enrollment record will have the enrt_mthd_cd as E (Explicit) so that will help you in identifying is the records was created person or not.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Vikash
